The food is bad, it's a waste of money....Inedible food disgusting money spent for nothing, I vomited at night after eating it..

Service on collection was good, food well that's a different story, I had vegetarian curry and it was so bland and watery unbelievable, the veg was frozen sweetcorn, frozen garden peas a few runner beans and a small piece of potatoe that was it. Bombay potato was the same as the vegetarian curry as for the onion bhajis I got 4 at £4.10 they were the size if not smaller a gobstopper. Really not worth value for money. I could have had a jar of curry from the shops and thrown in vegetable this would have been taster.

Myself and my friend have used this place so many times and it's been a go to, however we ordered take away delivery on Friday 26th Aug 2024 (Chicken Korma, Pilau Rice, Sag Alloo & a couple of Onion Bhajees) food came in good time. Sadly it was not up to par as the rice was stodgy and cold but my friend ate as much as she could. I finished off the rest mainly Sag aloo and felt something in my mouth and it turned out to be a staple! Thank God I didn't swallow it. We rang up but the gent on the phone didn't seem to believe us and eventually just put the phone down? Scary really especially the attitude to what happened. We weren't after any kind of compensation but I seriously worry about the fact that a staple could end up in a dish! Very sad but we won't be using this place again which is a shame.

There was a slight delay and it said the food had been delivered when it hadn’t so called up the restaurant and they spoke to the driver and it turned up within 10 minutes of the phone call so wasn’t to late was just a worry when it said it has been delivered when it hadn’t. Anyway it turned up in the end and the food was lovely as it always is no complaints and definetly a 10/10

A food was lovely. Chicken korma for the kids and a mixed madras for us with rice, mushroom bhaji & naan breads. Will order from here. Delivery driver was lovely too

AVOID! Rubbish and gross food. My food was bland and had hardly any taste. My partners had taste but I quote, 'not a good one'. The Pathia was far spicier than it should be. The cheesy naan bread was filled with a cheap plastic tasting cheese. Extremely disappointed and will not be using again.

It's a take away,guys very friendly

The food had good flavours unfortunately the meat was a little chewy and the potato a little hard. 1 of my dishes was only half full. 6 pieces of meat in each dish which was a little on the low side and over a pound for a poppadum was a little expensive. Overall the first time i tried this take away and wasn't the worst I've had but wont be in a rush to go back.

Disappointed. Poppadoms burnt, no salad or sauce with mixed kabab. Prawn curry, no curry flavour at all. Needed warming up again.

Ordered via uber eats. Food turned up and it was flavorless and the Tikka masala was clearly sent incorrect this is the most overpriced flavorless curry I have ever ordered. Absolute shambles. Definitely would not recommend and will certainly not eat from here again.

Curry is lovely. However £1 a popudom is extortionate and for how much we ordered and paid we didn't even recieve a whole popudum it was a few smashed up bits of popudom and when I called about it, the guy on the phone didn't care to address the issue at all.

Curry was OK - make sure its NOT Islamic halal meat - !

So i used Curry cottage for the first time last night after a recommendation, all tasted ok but woke up at 5 this morning with the worst stomach cramps ,diarrhoea and sickness ,I never ever get ill and this was the only thing I aye yesterday, have since learnt a few people I know have had same experience with curry cottage ,wish I knew sooner ,avoid !! Never again

Made a order told 1 hour it turned up 3 hours later chips frozen and undercooked nan totally undercooked and fritters undercooked all not fit to eat dont take on thr order if you cant fullfill the order that the food is edible

Curry was delivered within time frame. Was piping hot and very delicious. Never been disappointed.

Maybe they had a bad night but it was a slow delivery, luke warm food and the blandest curry. Tasted like supermarket ready meal. No real flavour, rice was really plain and flavourless. Goan curry had zero heat and sauce was thin and greasy. Sorry, not coming back

Ordered a phall and it was the mildest curry we've ever had. Butter chicken that is a chef special tasted of absolutely nothing. Definitely avoiding curry cottage.

Ordered from them this evening, already paid for the food online and the food didn't arrive. Called them and they said it had already left, still didn't arrived, tried to call back and it said they had closed. Won't be ordering from there again.

Went to get a refund after the order took 2.5 hours ( didn't receive the order) and the man who was dealing with us, offered to fight me!

First meal from IC for a while, as always excellent. Best popps and nann bread in the area, Bhiryani was lovely

3 times had a bad curry from here!! Masala was a korma. Madras and Vindaloo are a chicken curry without any flavour or spice what so ever. If you want spice go elsewhere. WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN. CUSTOMER SERVICE ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING!!!!!!!

Worst curry ever. My korma tasted of nothing. Water has more flavour. The 'naga' dish had no heat or flavour, nor did the 'chefs special' dish described as madras hot! Perhaps the restaurant just ran out of all chillis, herbs and spices on the day! Never going back here again!

We decided to try this local take away we were very disappointed the food lacked flavour and the madras was very salty the korma was watery we ordered pilar rice and got ordinary white rice the chicken in the korma was completely tasteless and the meat portion in the madras was very small We won’t go their again

Used this take away a couple of weeks ago and the food was fantastic... Used them this evening and couldn't be more disappointed was told 20 minutes to collect our food and when we arrived they said it would be another 20 minutes due to them taking payment before they start to cook the food...should they not have explained this on the phone?? after a very long wait we got home to find the chicken was very tough and ropey and containers half full with rice ... the curry was tasteless there was absolutely nothing good about our meals this evening...we certainly won't be returning to use this take away again!!!

Thank you! We moved into the area less than two weeks ago, with all the excitement of moving our anniversary crept up and was suddenly upon us. I'd failed to arrange anything so I decided to order us an indian, first time here by the way. I popped a cheeky note with my (online) order to say how I'd screwed up on our anniversary but thought that it would probably get missed. When our food arrived, with it was a box of chocolates and a note wishing us a happy anniversary! The food was good with generous portions and arrived on time. Most of all I'm very impressed with the service and the "extra mile". Well done guys and thanks for bailing me out!

food has really gone down hill, use to love a curry from this curry cottage but not no more. will never eat from this curry house again.

my husband and i always used this take away food was lovely one of the best. But the 2 weeks ago we had our usual curry which is chicken tikka Marsala and mushroom rice. Well got curry home dished it up and the curry had lost the red colour it was just curry colour ok so i phoned the curry house up and they said they have taken out the coloring far enough. So we sat down to eat and was very disappointed it tasted vile, so it ended up in the bin what a waste of money. So this week my husband had another curry for the curry cottage but he had a chicken biryani and also said it wasn't very nice. So i think it is safe to say we will not be ordering from this take away again. It's a shame.

Order from here regularly and the food has gone down hill. I had a vegetable biryani on Saturday and on my second mouthful I can across a gold chefs jacket button. 😷 safe to say I won't be ordering for this take away again.

Been using this takeaway for a couple of years now. Delivery is always pretty quick and the food excellent. A good, reliable curry house.

Our regular curry takeaway. Just had a madras which had a grest taste and a good amount of heat. Food arrived hot and on time. The bhaji's I ordered for a starter were quite small though.

Sauces tasted like sugar. Had tikka and madras. Meat was good quality, we had chicken. Very little spice to either dish.

Han estado utilizando cottage de curry durante un tiempo ahora. Siempre tengo el chef Raj Naga especial y pide que caliente, es mi favorita curry ahora. Tienen que con su arroz con ajo ... increíble. Mi sobrino siempre tiene allí Korma 7.50 que dice es genial. Hay mucha variedad en el menú a precios excelentes. No me han decepcionado. También la garluc y chili naan es impresionante. .

Its always good news when a new restaurant opens close by so this is good news indeed.It opened last week offering a full range of good quality indian food plus the english stuff thrown in for the few that can't stand the heat!Offers wraps and burgers too at lunchtime.There are a few tables to sit and enjoy your food.Good luck and we will be back!
