Great value for money meal for 2 deal.

The food was excellent, really good quality curry, however the delivery time was poor. I understand these things can happen on a busy Friday evening, I'll definitely give them another chance!

traffic was terrible so driver a bit late but food lovely as always

the order showed delivered before delivery and had to call the restaurant to update that it wasn't. then they changed it to 'delivering' and was another 10 mins late. gave one pepsi max while i ordered two regulars. burgers, fries were soggy and burgers patty's n nuggets were pretty low quality. i wish it wasn't so late and i had checked the box, i would have sent it back. curries might be good here but never try burgers or fries. sorry but a horrible experience.

I love this place... Definitely one of the very best currys in Edinburgh! The staff are great and all really friendly! But most of all the food is amazing!!!

One of the best curries I’ve ever had, really nice and crispy bhajis and the service was very warm and welcoming.

Even though we stopped for dinner at a late hour (10.40pm), the very kind owner welcomed us with a smile! Also very good food especially their Naan which is stellar!

The best India we have ever eaten with very kind service, we went there just once and then we had to visit it next two evenings:)! Highly recommended when you are in Edinburgh!

First impressions when I walked in was there was a table filled with half eaten food I thought nothing of it and placed my order and went away came back the table of half eaten food was still sitting there not cleared.. When I opened my pakora portion of chicken and fish at my accommodation fish was slimy and chicken was rubbery food didn't even come with pakora sauce knock off sauce avoid at all cost. So many better options around Leith walk.

Ordered a few times and has always been quick, tasty and good value. Had a curry for the first time tonight (lamb rogan josh) and it was delicious! Also the garlic naan had a nuclear amount of garlic on which is the perfect amount 👌

I ordered chilli garlic chicken and got lumps of chicken in that basic curry sauce that basically had extra chilli powder added. Not a single green chilli or scrap of onion to be seen. Hot, bitter and no actual flavour. The luxury lemon cheesecake was a chunk of stale lemon sponge cake. What a joke! Previous orders have been good but today was absolutely rank.

WE ORDERED "Deluxe Meal For 2 Persons" VERY GOOD VINDALOO. MANGO LASSI ALSO GOOD. DONNER KEBAB WAS OK - BIT THICKLY CUT. DOPIAZA WAS SO SO. NAAN WAS GOOD. STARTERS WERE BETTER THAN MOST.

Unfortunately the food (chicken korma) was inedible. It tasted excessively like sugar. I felt sick after the first spoonful, even though I can actually eat anything and don't have many demands. My partner couldn't eat it either, which was a shame. But the rice was okay and so was the portion size.

The kebab I bought I can taste the oil on it. It shouldn't be like that totally disgusting. If I wasn't on a bus heading home I'd get my money back totally not worth it even with alcoholic poisoning involved

a massive thank you for the lovely surprise for my wife's birthday, she never expected a free slice of cake! what a kind gesture she absolutely loved it. amazing food as always especially the egg fried rice ! the delivery driver was so kind and wished my wife a happy birthday at the door. she also got a lovely hand written note to wish her a happy birthday . its so appreciated and we are regulars and will be back again for more tsstey food. the man you curry cafe for making her day special 10/10

This is without a doubt the worst kebab I’ve ever had in my life, you’re lucky my partner talked me down from getting in my car and driving to this abysmal place and complaing demanding my money back

We order every week. They have been closed for a few weeks as they had technical problems, and we have missed Curry Cafe so bad!!!! I really like their lentils dishes and naam bread, just the best of the area. Price is really fair as everything tastes good and the portions are good. Addicted!

Best Indian restaurant in town!! The food is simply delicious, the delivery fast and the staff friendly and extremely helpful. In case something you've ordered is not available, they call you and offer other options. The food, well, just impossible to resist. My partner and I are now addicted to this restaurant and we order take away ot out at least once a week. Highly recommended!

I clearly asked for not spicy food but was served spicy - that I am allergic to. After a couple of bites - as the waitress kept saying there was not spicy - I just sent the dish back. After I made it clear I was not going to pay for that, they suggested having korma chicken. I reluctantly accepted, however I felt sick during the night and the day after I woke up with a rash over my torso. Food poisoning?

We have been ordering from Curry Cafe for years, the food is always excellent.

My wife and I have been ordering takeaways from Curry Cafe for years. We've always seen it as a real 'hidden gem'. However, in the last few months it has become pretty terrible. Curries now have hardly any meat in them, if you take a deal with a free drink then you will not get the drink you selected, they don't have simple menu items that have been ordered (mixed kebab) and send instead a spring roll (not even Indian food). Such a shame, and we will miss it. but we will not be ordering again.

Most of the food was lovely. Naan, mushroom and pilau rice, the mater paneer and onion bhajis all lovely. The Saag paneer had a nice taste but the spinach had been blended so had consistency more of a palek paneer which isn't my sort of thing. I'd suggest the description needs additional context.

I don’t get food from here often cos I always forget about it but it’s lovely and the family/workers are lovely people. It’s nice to support a family biz. The food was absolutely delicious and the lamb Balti was bursting with flavour and the quality of the lamb was great and great portion sizes as well. All the food I was very impressed by and enjoyed joyfully. Only thing, It was a little late but I didn’t mind that much, but the driver was so sweet and polite and very apologetic. My hands down go to place for Indian food now!

Went here on a very wet Wednesday for a bit of flavour and heat . Was not disappointed. Chose a different curry tonight. Normally, I have the madeas but went for rogan josh tonight and it was amazing. So tasty and just spicy enough. Love this wee gem on Leith Walk!

Delivery was confirmed- took 40 minutes to arrive. Food quality was poor- cold, watery and bland.

Always order from here as the chicken is normally delicious and cooked perfectly. However this last order, the chicken was way overcooked and very tough, hopefully this was a one time thing...

Tasty food! Some of the best Indian food to be had anywhere in my experience. All the good was flavourful and portions were generous. Service was pleasant. The waitress was cheerful and friendly and helpful answering questions about the dishes. Next time we are in Edinburgh we will stop here again!

We travel to Edinburgh every summer and have a favorite Indian place we discovered quite by chance a few years ago. This year we discovered they were closed. We were sceptical somewhat about finding a replacement. We happened upon Curry Cafe just walking by and were enticed by the menu posted outside the door. We decided to try a new place and were quite delighted. The korma was the tastiest we have ever had anywhere. It was so creamy and full of flavour and texture; same for the butter chicken and the other curry we chose. Naans were light and flavourful. The pilau rice was equally delicious. My only complaint would be that it would be nice if a small side of rice were to be included with each curry. But I do understand everyone’s pinched due to inflation right now. We were advised as soon as we approached the counter that the prices on the menu on the wall had gone up, and these were displayed on a menu board above the counter. Service was delightful and the staff were entirely cheerful and seem delighted to have us in. We’ll definitely be back.

First time ordering from here and very happy. Chose the curry deal with chicken korma which was so tasty and just the perfect portion! The curry was nice and sweet and the chicken was tender. The food was ok, Butter naan was very good, chicken Saag was fine. But my chicken tikka Marsala was way too sweet. The waitress offered to change it though, but I decleined, thought it was gonna be ok... It wasn't! The more I ate, the sweeter it got. At the end I only had the chicken and had to leave the sauce (which should be the best part of the dish!) The restaurant could be more clean! The prices were just unacceptable! At the Front door was the price list from a few months ago, very reasonable. Once we sat down the waiter (or Chef?) told us to check the prices at the counter as it's been increased. We didnt bother to leave, thought it would be just a bit, but it was not! We told the waitress at the end that the prices outside were misleading and should be taking down. The answer was "it wasn't her decision to make, it's the owner'​s decision" and "All customers were told that the prices were changed and accepted it, so it shouldn't be a problem!" The prices were increased a few months ago and they don't bother to do anything about it. In Germany, this would be illegal! (even when you told your customer about the price changes before they order!) The waitress kindda took my comments personal saying she can't do anything about it, instead of telling us she would inform the owner how the customers feel (we know it wasn't her fault and she tried hard to make the situation better... she failed though!) Why is it so difficult to take the old price down? (at least put a sign on the old list or whatever). I'm sure we're not the first one complaining. We can'​t​ help​ but​ feel​ deceived. By the way! The price of the high end indian restaurant on the opposite side of the Street is even cheaper than this curry cafe, just a little information for your decision next time you come to the area and wanna have indian food!
