Mention please for Cuppaccino at Peachment Place, Bury. Lunch service. Pleasant welcome with a smile, shown to our table, very short wait with menu, then placed our order. Rapid service, piping hot food, Chilli Beef with half and half rice and fat chips - wife had fish chips and mushy peas. Man-sized portions, just about cleared our plates !! Plenty choice of cakes to take away for tea. Special mention for colleague Gabby, pleasant smile throughout. Will return soon. B & J

Cannot recommend this little gem enough. Spotlessly clean, the food is amazing and all home cooked. Prices are very reasonable, worth every single penny. We had to take some home (enough for tea) there was so much on the food bench. And the icing on the cake (no pun intended) was the lovely staff, so pleasant and attentive . We will be returning very soon 😋

Have been before and it had fallen from Excellent to Mediocre to Poor, well it is back to my list and it is at the top. I would lunch every day. However the main thing to me is I would not be afraid to take friends along. We always have one of the "dishes of the day". This one was either Lamb or Steak. we both had the lamb. I have NEVER had a better meal of lamb anywhere in Europe, I kid.you not, Lots of meat perfectly cooked in a sauce of red currant. Another thing is it may sound silly to praise the chips, but so many pubs use frozen chips into a microwave and turn out rubbish. These were great.and worked well with the lamb. Oh there was some green stuff there as well. Would be back tomorrow but my waist line is already a problem. £28 for two with coffee.

I attended cuppaccino’s in Radcliffe, for the first time today. Asked for my breakfast to be served separately (pouched egg, mushrooms and toast) not once but twice. For it to come out all together, when I raised this my food was took back to the kitchen to be returned the same way and told by a lady with blonde hair, we will do it like that next time! There won’t be a next time. So due to the same meal being reserved after being sat in the kitchen was cold and pouched eggs were hard. Meal was left, the lady just kept saying sorry, please come back. No refund offered or anything. This same lady gave my brother less change than he should have been given and when he went back to tell her she said it was because she had no pound coins! Absolutely appealing service and the food was not great at all! After confronting the situation out plates were left on the table and both staff member stood in the kitchen hesitant to collect plates because they didn’t want to deal with the situation, shocking!

Used to be a good place a few years ago but recently standards have really dropped, front of house staff are unprofessional and seem more interested about there phones then helping customers out. Food took about 25 minutes which considering how busy it was was poor. No one did a check back with food. We are it all but wasn't the best meal we've had. Staff seem more interested in messing about than serving customers as did the chefs. Wouldn't go back again. Shame since we go every so often but in recent years seen a slight decrease in food and standard. Little bit pricey too.

Unfortunately quality has dropped massively. Unfortunately we used to go weekly, however there was a dictator resident that when my children needed the toilet, would not allow them to use the “alternative toilet” but if you look at toilets to public the resources were not there

I drive past this bistro every working day but until recently I didn’t know it was there. We called in today, the restaurant is clean, staff are friendly, smiley and polite. There is a very good selection of cakes on display at very reasonable prices. We ordered two breakfasts with toast and coffee, very reasonable price, they arrived in good time and were very tasty. We then ordered two cakes a jam and cream scone and a double chocolate and cream eclair, these were lovely. As we were leaving staff were putting out the lunchtime dishes which looked good, we checked the prices of lunch which again are more than reasonable. I think it will be lunch next time we visit this gem of a bistro. I

Called in at 1.15 p.m.when passing and ordered the daily special which was chicken and bacon salad. Really enjoyed this food, nice platefull and the dressing was tasty. Ordered a bowl of chips which were freshly cooked as they were very hot. We also called in for a drink and cakes one afternoon last week when passing. All the cakes are homemade and I can recommend the mince pies. Coffees are always good, the cappuccinos especially so with lots of froth. Staff are, without exception, always pleasant and attentive. The tables are nicely spaced so you can have a private conversation and not have to listen to someone else's. We enjoy calling in at this establishment and will continue to do so.

This restaurant sits next to a public sports field, it is attached to a wonderful retirement home and so it merges into the background. For that reason it is hard to find, yet it is always full and gets many regulars. The menu is wide enough to tempt regulars, all served quickly and in style. The food is great, a sort of high end home cooking.I would have given the restaurant five stars except for the high level of sound reflected from the décor. Some sort of soft sound damping would not go amiss. It’s like being in everybody else’s conversation.Well worth a visit.

This little bistro is just wonderful. Freshly cooked from scratch, proper traditional English classics - cottage pie, lamb dinners, beef stews - all those wonderful feel good dinners that never go out of fashion. Today did not disappoint. The beef and mushroom pie served with all the trimmings was served hot and tasted amazing and with good size portions at competitive prices you just can’t go wrong. Kids meals available - fish fingers, chicken nuggets, sandwiches and jacket potato’s if they don’t want the specials. The place is very clean and has plenty of tables. It’s not waiter service - you get your tray and give your order at the food counter and they either serve you there or they bring it over and you pay when you order. Staff very friendly and seem happy to be at work and nothings too much trouble. Had to take my youngest to the toilet which was very clean and smelt fresh. There is parking on the main road directly outside the Bistro but it does get busy. Recommend this for a wonderful lunch time visit.

Is this Radcliffe's hidden gem. Don't be put off by its attachment to the sheltered housing ,we visited for the first time this week after hearing good things from quite a few people and we were not disappointed . I've read other reviews where people have had problems of one kind or another but you get that in any eating place, no one gets it right 100%of the time. All of the food on display in the heater cabinet looked inviting , there is a good selection of sandwiches and wraps available as well as the hot food options. On the day we ate the hot options included very lightly battered fish which was not your normal long thin fillet but a decent chunk of presumably fresh fish , Beef and Stilton pie (my choice) ,Sweet Potato Korma, Shepherds Pie can't remember what else. My partner had a Steak Ciabatta which came nicely presented on a wooden slab with onions ,fresh cooked mushrooms and a salad plus chips which were excellent (yes I did pinch a few. My Beef and Stilton pie was wonderful, a rich gravy ,plump mushrooms and a generous amount of beef, I had new potatoes but I could have had chips or mash, the veg was cooked to perfection ,I had carrots and Cauliflower. My partner unusually for her could not manage a sweet ,I had the Lemon Torte which for me could have been a tad more tart but was very good. There was a good selection of home made desserts and cakes to choose from at a very good price, much cheaper than you usually find. Coffee was excellent, staff were attentive, friendly and welcoming to both us and what I assume were residents of the flats who they knew by first names . There was a steady flow of customers of all ages while we were there . We will definitely return both for another meal and to try the breakfast.

We have taken family who have also enjoyed everything they chose and recommended the Bistro to friends who have now become return visitors and recommended the restaurant to their friends . We called in today and chose a ham salad, prawn salad and a bowl of chips all for £11.All the desserts/cakes are made by the owner of the Bistro and always soooo tempting. One of party asked for water was told no glasses left. waited 75minutes after appointed time to be served not enough sandwiches for table were told more to follow (never came) We were told not to take too many strawberries & cake as the plate was to be passed on to next table, also told plate of scones had to do both tables * scones for 11 people. I could go on and on it was a complete disaster they were obviously trying to cater for too many people. Would not go back again.

The Bistro is actually very well designed in being cloistered off from the apartment area lounge and closes for meals at around 3pm. I've been on many occasions and never seen any of the residents using the lounge in the day time. It's certainly not an "old peoples home" as has been previously described. The residents all have their own individual apartments and the Bistro offers the most delicious variety of beautifully presented, home cooked food available to them and the general public. The concept of having accommodation, restaurant, hairdresser (also open to the public) and optional buy in nursing help if needed should be a blueprint for the future. The Bistro would put many a style over substance, fine dining establishment to shame. We always try to get there early after 12pm to be sure of the great choice of specials on offer. The regular menu is also extensive and value for money would be an understatement! If you've ever been to "Bettys Tea Rooms" then you'll know what to expect for dessert, but without the high price tag. So go and be spoilt for choice - you won't be disapointed.

When considering the price of this afternoon tea at £9.95 for two, I had set the bar quite low. Previously I have had afternoon tea elsewhere priced at £25 for two and felt disappointed. This however was delightful, the sandwiches were tasty, which a lot of choice on offer. Similarly, the cakes were also most satisfying. If you are considering a catch-up with friends or family I would definitely consider this place. Afternoon tea is presently served between 1.30 and 3pm, which seems to be when it is most busy. My only negative is that it can be quite noisy, but I will certainly forgive it that as everything else was super.

The food is lovely here...BLT and chips, Steak sandwich, milk shake a pot of tea and a slice of Tiffin -£15. Very light and airy with clean lines and no pretensions. Because it is part of a building for Assisted Living tenants, a lot of the residents take their meals there, and if I have a slight criticism, it is that there was a large gathering of elderly ladies who were quite noisy and made conversation difficult, but this was only a minor annoyance. The outside area is lovely on a fine day, which it was when we visited. All in all, a hidden gem that is gaining a fine reputation .
