Love everything about this small restaurant. They offer 10% for NHS staff too which is helpful. Love it

i have been here for afternoon tea today it was a late mother’s day present from my sister and myself for our mum, i have to say it was not what i was expecting and for the price they charge, we had soup first that was so terrible and sweet, secondly we had a small yorkshire pudding with a slice of beef in with a drizzle of gravy little chicken bites with cooked porters and onions and some sort of sauce then lastly we had cakes which were wonder full thank god but we had to take them home because we were so upset with what was served, we were expecting mixed sandwiches a little side salad or crisp and cakes. i have been here loads of times and this is the first time i have been served something horrible and been so disappointed, it will be a long time to get over this experience

Was disappointed as couldn't have a cooked breakfast at 11.10 but according to the menu breakfast is served till 11.30.

Really good place to visit for a cooked breakfast. Reasonably priced food and drink, set in a modern, clean location attached to a care home.

We call in here regularly, for a cuppa, midway through our Thursday walk. The food always looks good & well presented, but is quite expensive for a mid afternoon snack.

Love this place, I'm a regular visitor with my Grandad. The food is lovely and great portion sizes. The scones/desserts are delicious. The staff are so accommodating and happy to help with any dietary requirements. Couldn't fault it :)

Found this place on Google maps as we had an appointment nearby. What a gem! Had tasty fresh sandwices with lovely chips. What lucky retirees to have this on site.

Hidden Gem - excellent breakfasts and lunches.All well cooked and great service.

Took my mum for afternoon tea for her Mother's Day present. Beautifully presented, all incredibly fresh, we could choose our own sandwich fillings/bread, wonderful service and all at a very reasonable price. Would highly recommend.

been here with partner s few times for breakfast and it’s very good and staff very polite and friendly. been in for a brew and a cake too and i can’t fault it and apartments look lovely like the peachment place apartments and other bistro , peachment is a bigger one the manager there in the bistro is trying her best but the young staff are still learning and not the quickest but hey i’m sure it’ll get better soon , i think it’s very handy for the residents and not much cooking and i’d live there definitely.

Visited for lunch as on previous visits we had lovely sandwiches and soup. Lunch menu now no longer served. Only full cooked meals available at quite high prices given the setting. Very disappointed. Visited Redbank three times recently and had to go elsewhere for lunch.

Food is absolutely excellent. however, we ordered a coffee after our meal at 2.45pm, to be told that we couldn't have it as they had finished serving and switched off the machine, also would not serve an ice cream either. To shut down service, especially of drinks, 45 mins prior to closing is, in my opinion a tad extreme. Customers should be made aware. So unfortunately we had tap water to wash down the meal, not great. If it wasn't for that, there would be a 5star rating.

As usual the food was fantastic. Little hidden gem this place. I have deducted a star though as there was no milk substitute for someone with lactose intolerance and no sweeteners for hot drinks. Otherwise, it's a thumbs up from us

Small bistro with great priced food, a welcoming atmosphere and well mannered employees. Gets very busy around lunch time 11.30 - 13.30 best ring up and enquiry about seating. No toilets Inside but one across the hall next to barbers

Nice idea, not my usual setting but went with family who enjoy it here. It’s about to ‘hospital cafe’ feeling for me but the quality is that of a nicer venue. Food is really nice for a setting like this I was really impressed with the burger, very fresh and good quality. Cheap place and also nice to see the community spirit here. I just prefer a nicer venue to sit in and relax with table service etc. but venue aside this place is great and they should be proud of themselves, nice feeling of Community here.

Food was ok the sea bass was to die for. Cauliflower not cooked enough. Liver you got three small chunks in gravy and lots of chunks of carrots. Soup tasty

What a superb Bistro. Had the minute steak sandwich, which was presented open, seasoned to perfection, on par with any of the Michelen restaurants in the city, but half the price. Not saying anymore, because I selfishly would hate to queue if it became too popular.

This is a cafe in a home for independent living. The cafe is open to the general public and is a lovely place to eat, with good food at reasonable prices.
