Ordered a takeaway and the pork dumpling’s were completely raw inside, they hadn’t been cooked at all

Amazing food and great service. I would definitely recommend the Oyster Chicken, the Singapore Chicken and the Sweet and Sour Chicken.

Pedimos una comida para llevar el lunes por la noche a través de la aplicación Just eat. la comida llegó 20 minutos antes y el conductor estaba ansioso por escapar. Cuando saqué la comida de la bolsa, me horroricé. El arroz estaba recocido y cubierto de una sustancia similar a los mocos con lo que creo que estaba destinado a ser carne y verduras y sin sabor. Las costillas estaban viscosas. Chicken Chow Mein estaba recocido y viscoso. salsa agridulce estaba fría y gelatinosa. La tostada de gambas estaba fría y goteaba aceite. Llamé al día siguiente y me dijeron que emitirían el reembolso, pero tenía que llamar solo comer primero y hacerles saber que no estaba contento con la comida y que quería un reembolso. me dijeron que no se enviaría ningún controlador con mi reembolso hasta que se haya realizado esta llamada. Así que llamo a solo comer para que me digan que no había necesidad de la llamada, ya que era un pago en efectivo y la llamada para comer solo es necesaria si se tomó un pago con tarjeta. Llamé al restaurante nuevamente y me dijeron que enviarían a un conductor a recoger la vil comida y también me devolverían mi dinero. Le pregunté 3 veces cuánto tiempo tomaría y, y la tercera vez me dijeron 45 minutos. Pasa una hora . . Llamo y hablo con la misma señora y me dicen que se pondrá en contacto con el conductor por mí y me devolverá la llamada. . . Pasan 30 minutos sin devolución de llamada. Llamo de nuevo y hablo con el dueño y él me grita y me dice que no es su problema y que tengo que ir al restaurante. De mala gana me dirijo al restaurante donde me saludan 2 miembros del personal y el propietario, que son increíblemente groseros. Todos me gritaban en chino y tenían la mejilla para revisar la bolsa de comida para ver si había comido algo, lo cual no había hecho. finalmente recibí mi reembolso completo! . Ahórrese el tiempo y la molestia, ¡no use esta farsa de restaurante! no vale la pena molestarse.

Este producto no tiene en cuenta a las personas con alergias. Pedí comida sin nueces ya que mi esposa tiene una alergia severa a las nueces y el plato apareció con nueces espolvoreadas en la parte superior. Cuando llamé para quejarme, me dijeron que debería haber ordenado que no, y así lo hice. Obviamente, con una esposa que lleva un Epipen, soy muy consciente de los peligros que pueden causar las nueces. Una disculpa hubiera recorrido un largo camino o un plato de reemplazo enviado rápidamente para completar nuestro pedido, pero estaban más preocupados por negar cualquier conocimiento del error y tratar de culparme. Me gustaría instar a cualquier persona con alergia a los alimentos a no usar este restaurante / para llevar.

Group of nine of us went for a birthday meal and the night just went from bad to worse! Service was awful and slow along with orders being missed and drinks never coming even after asking several times. The bill was wrong with items being added all in all not going back sadly better places to spend our money

My family really enjoyed our meal tonight. The service was amazingly quick. It was my daughters birthday and the waitress made a bit of a fuss over her. The food was really delicious. I recommend this Chinese. Slightly on the expensive side for the buffet.

We have had many takeaways delivered from this restaurant but didn't realise it was so well set up for providing good food. Decided to go in for a meal this time. Service was friendly and prompt. Choice of drinks fitting for this type of establishment. Choice of food was very good. You were nt bothered by staff, but given enough attention to keep your glasses and plates full. Very good buffet food, plenty of it. Worth a visit more than once.

Don’t ever eat from here! Used hungryhouse app for a delivery and reviews at the top were ok (didn’t read far enough down!) food was burnt and awful, in-edible is an understatement. They didn’t care and actually put the phone down on me and then wouldn’t answer my call! I only know as I called from another number! If that’s how they treat customers I dread to think what the kitchen is like 😯 please spread far and wide and avoid like the plague! Feel sorry for the poor girl answering the phone! No stars would be more appropriate but I can’t leave a review without at least one.

I went to this restaurant with a mate and on arrival we were shown a table for 2, the restaurant was empty and I asked could we sit on a bigger table, the waiter said no they are tables for 4 people. I ordered a starter which was very nice and a sizzling beef dish, my mate ordered a Thai curry. The main courses literally arrived within minutes and the starter arrived afterwards. The sizzling beef arrived ON a sizzling serving dish as expected BUT was in tinfoil on top of the dish !!!!!!!! I told the waiter to take it away as I don't expect to be served my meal in a restaurant in tinfoil and I was given dirty looks, within minutes of me sending the dish back, a lot of other staff arrived from the kitchen I presume and stood at the counter/bar staring at me. It made me feel very uncomfortable and me and my mate couldn't wait to leave, he finished his main course and I finished my starter which arrived after the main course. Then to top it all of I was given a bill with a mandatory service charge included.. when I questioned it the waiter just looked at me !!! NEVER EVER eat here as the meal arrives too quickly to be cooked fresh and is definately not what you pay for. And let's not even talk about the state of the toilets!!! They look like they haven't been cleaned in weeks 🤢

We passed by this place and ordered a takeaway. However, the manager flatly refused to accept payment with Scottish Banknotes. When I explained to him that they are legal tender in the UK having Sterling clearly printed on them and it is illegal to decline them he simply sneered. Having now read some of the reviews I realise I was spared from the food offered by this restaurant!

Phoned at half 7 to order. Told 40 mins Half 9. They tell me that the food has been ordered I ask them why I would be phoning if it was here!! I ask for 50% discount for the inconvenience. They tell me no. Full price Never again

We were a group of 7adults, 2children and 2babies and were accommodated on a nice big table, high chairs were also provided. We all went for the buffet option and weren't disappointed. The menu has a great selection, and food comes out fast and hot. I don't think we had one complaint except that some of our options we maybe expected sauce to come with (e.g. Satay chicken with sauce and prawn wanton with sauce) but that is our only complaint if you can call it that. The food was fresh and cooked to order, we were slightly worried as previously food has taken an age to come to the table but not this time. Would be nice if they had option of desert on buffet menu, I think you can order that from alacarte maybe. We defo got out monies worth and left feeling full. From the outside you wouldn't be able to tell what a nice place this is inside, it's modern, clean and spacious with nice features. The staff are friendly and attentive. Would recommend!

Better than your standard Chinese restaurant, 10x better than a takeaway - and a fixed menu buffet delivered to the table so great for groups and those who like to experiment or have a selection.

Este es, por mucho, mi favorito restaurante chino en Orpington. Fantástica comida y un servicio atento. Es una pena que no llena más gente está perdiendo un regalo. Crystal chino Jade sirve comida sabrosa, pero cada vez que hemos estado allí, que son generalmente los únicos para comer. Es una pena, ya que se necesita un poco de ambiente para mejorar la experiencia.

We use this now for quick Chinese takeaway - whereas we'd go to Xian for a treat or maybe King's Palace or Joy's Kitchen (we might switch to Joy's but the kids like specific things that Joy's doesn't do). it's ok

We popped in after seeing a film at the Odeon and were very pleasantly surprised. We chose the all you can eat buffet which was freshly cooked to order. This suited us as we love all the starters and they were really hot and beautifully cooked. The satay chicken was especially good. We are looking forward to trying their delivery service as we live close enough. Highly recommended.

The kids wanted to go to Reku Zen which when we arrived was shut for their holiday, I am not a fan of the hot lamp Chinese served there so I was happy to go into crystal jade as we had heard they do a different sort of buffet, it was all you can eat but served freshly cooked at your table, you just order what you need and then more if you need it, then more again if another little dish becons. All the dishes are small but was enough per dish to go round the 5 of us, this let us order more dishes than normal to try different things, we finished each course and we were able to discuss with the kids what else was on the menu rather than them filling their plates and then leaving it.The drinks were a bit pricy and when we order cokes for the kids they were in pint glasses which we found on the bill was not £2 but £3.75 for the pint but they had drunk them so never mind.The decor was nice inside, better than it looks outside the young waitress was always rushing around checking on all the tables and always smiling and happy to help. The kids also liked the TV screen with the Chinese mtv music on as they thought it was better than the old fashioned Chinese restaurants, they also liked the waving cats at the entrance.

Was a bit sceptical about entering this premises as it always looked empty whenever I passed, but reading the reviews decided to give it a go. We were the only ones in there and from the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and the staff were very attentive. The food was lovely, although presentation could be a bit better in that myself and partners starters came out on one big plate, so a bit of garnish wouldn't have gone amiss. Everything we had from starters, soup, duck and mains was all very tasty. The only criticism was the tv that was on in the restaurant, seemed to be some sort of music channel, but was so distracting that I ended up watching the tv instead of talking to my partner. Also the man that was working behind the counter taking telephone orders was wearing a vest and probably would have benefited from wearing a shirt. Also the fact that there was a motorbike parked inside the restaurant near the toilet. Toilets were very clean also.

Ate there last night as a last minute thing. The buffet is incredible as everything you want is cooked fresh. You can eat as much as you want. The staff are very polite, friendly and enjoy the banter. Will be making this a regular restaurant.

Orpington is full of many different types of restaurants and any visitor is spoilt for choice.Crystal jade at the bottom of the High Street is one of a few Chinese restaurants. It never looks that busy so have never given it a go before. I am so glad we did.You can choose from the normal menu or opt for the all you can eat menu.The food is excellent and high quality.As a party of six we were full after the starters !I had the sweet and sour ribs and the red Thai chicken. The ribs were lovely and tender and fell off the bone.The Thai chicken was full of flavour.The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Prices are average for Orpington. The all can you eat is around £16.Highly recommended.

A very good choice for your both eat in or take away. I have got regular takeaways from here for the last couple of years and the only complaint I can make is that the chips with my beef curry and chips were those skinny little frozen ones. Decent food always arrives promptly (30-40 mins).

This restaurant is often very quiet but don't let that put you off as the food is excellent and the staff super friendly. They also do the best buffet menu. The mention of a buffet menu may have you imagining poor quality sweet and sour sweating under heat lamps but not here. Instead you select items from a menu and they cook it for you fresh. You can order as often as you like, all they ask is that you don't waste food by ordering too much which only seems fair. This works really well and means my husband (a meat eater) and me (a veggie) can enjoy a meal out without any problems. All in all this is an excellent restaurant which I would be happy to recommend.

Tried on a Saturday to get in to our usual Chinese restaurant in Orpington but they wee apparently fully booked, so we tried the Jade for a Saturday night it was pretty empty not always a good sign but we were hungry by now so went in. What a welcome greeted by host sat down drink order taken, menu explained,there is an all you can eat deal but we went for the main menu and had a set menu for 2 with a few extras.it was prompt and was all excellent. The staff were all good and chatty and the restaurant and toilets were all clean what more do you want. Will be back soon and hope to have the same service.

I don't do Chinese, but this place is great. The staff have a great sense of humour, even cheeky!! The food is great but the portions are too big for me.

The food is always good,its just a shame that it always seems to be empty so lacks any atmosphere. I also use for delivery which is excellentvalue and food.

Have visited this restaurant a number of times now over the last few months and it has rapidly become my favourite place to eat in Bromley.The food is delicious, and, if opting for the all you-can-eat deal, is tremendous value for money. So many restaurants that offer all-you-can eat deals have you queuing around a buffet, watching the food congeal and grow cold. It is therefore a delightful change that this restaurant cooks the food to order and brings it out fresh, making for a hugely nicer dining experience!So much can be said for the staff too; upon every visit we have been made to feel very welcome, enjoying friendly conversation with the manager and staff; a welcome change from the begrudging service often found elsewhere. In summary, this restaurant is most probably the best Chinese restaurant in Bromley, certainly in Orpington. Whether popping in for lunch or a 3 course evening meal, I would thoroughly recommend this place to all.

I've been here four times now with between 2 and 5 people, and every visit has been fantastic. The food, the attentive and friendly staff and the price are all spot on.If you're looking for a Chinese in Orpington, this is the place!

The meals were well presented, perfectly cooked and flavoured and appropriately priced. It is the best Chinese restaurant i have personally visited. I would recommend this place to anyone.

We went to Crystal Jade on a Friday night in April and were really pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and the friendliness of the manager, Chris. After studying the menu and talking with Chris we opted for the all-you-can-eat option. This provides much better value than the set menus. You choose the starters/mains you want and then they are freshly cooked to the size of your party. I really liked this and it was like a Chinese tapas where you could try loads of different things on the menu. It was definitely filling and of a good quality.Service time was about right given the time you'd assume you need to freshly prep and cook it, though we were one of only two or three covers in the restaurant so I can't speak for busier nights. Several reviews have commented on the take away aspect of the restaurant and this might explain why it was so quiet but if you are looking for a good Chinese, I'd definitely recommend Crystal Jade.Whilst the food was great, the wine was less so. At best it was average. I think with a little bit of research and professional steer they could get some much better wines to sell at the same price/mark-up. The only other things that could've been improved was the music, which seemed to go on repeat throughout the evening, and the ambiance that was a bit flat because it was quiet.We will definitely return!

I absolutely love Crystal Jade. I've been here many occasions and also ordered take away food from here and have never ever been disappointed. The food is lovely and the owner is always happy to explain the culture and the roots behind the dishes. The ambience is lovely, too. I've heard good things about the buffet but never actually been myself - but I look forward to doing so in the near future.

I visited for the first time with a friend and had the 'all you can eat' option rather than 'a la carte' and I was not disappointed. You can choose as much as you like and they portion it appropriately for the size of your party, cook it fresh and deliver it to your table - I can not fault it. The staff were very friendly and looked after us well - not too much or too little. I don't think it is well known that you can eat in this restaurant as well as take away, but I recommend giving it a go.

By far the best chinese restaurant in Orpington, Fot some reason there seems to be some negative comments as the food is excellent and the service attentive without being overbearing i find the negativity hard to fathom. A great find.

We have not yet eaten in the restaurant but have had many takeaways and cannot fault the food it always arrives hot on time and always what we have ordered.

We went to the Crystal Lake for our Xmas get together. How disappointing!!! The service was none existent and the servers were blaming each other for lack of drinks and food. We ordered several dishes which didn't come and then tried ordering them again. They still didn't arrive. It appeared that the 'take away' orders were taking president over the guests in the restaurant. Not a way to run a successful business. Having said that about the service the food is very good and cannot be faulted for the price. That however is were the problem is. The 'take away' menu is more expensive and is therefore where they are making all their money. If you sacrifice the restaurant side of the business but keep it running you will eventually go under, because the people who receive the poor service will tell others and eventually the people who order take aways will stop ordering.Get your act together and you could have a really good business.

One of the worst Chinese take always I've ever had. The driver turned up and started getting aggressive because I paid in pound coins he ended up leaving and I unpacked the food and found out the duck was missing, and the food was cold, I rang back to get the duck sent and it never came, I will never order from here again :(

the food was a take away and was very poor when compared to the Lotus House. The meat was stringy and the rice over cooked. Some of the dishes was very greasy.

The take away's I've ordered here have been second to none, great tasting, speedy delivery, the dining experience however was nothing short of farcical. We waited around an hour for starters, at one point we looked around and not one person in the place had any resemblance of food on their table. It took another 20 mins to even order the mains, and then a further 30 for them to arrive. For some reason it's an eat as much as you like policy for about £16 but by the time your food arrives you can't be bothered to order any further portions and relive the waiting experience all over again.Side note: The cokes were flat, there was no music played and for some reason they had the BBC news channel on a giant plasma on a Saturday night, turn it off.

We went here for my daughters birthday as it had been recommended. We had a wonderful time. The food was excellent (easily the best Chinese food in Orpington) and the service was quick. We will definitely be going back again soon. A must to visit if you want a Chinese meal in Orpington.

Ordered take away from here via just eat website (starters platter, chow mein, chips, sweet and sour chicken and can of tango). Said food would take 45 mins to arrive, took 1hr 10mins and I think it only came then because we chased it!! Delivery guy arrived asked for payment despite fact we'd paid online. He didn't believe this so returned to the car to call the manager. While he was doing this I took take away inside and started to Unpack. Sweet and sour chicken had been sent with no sauce, rest of food Luke warm. Food average, seaweed on platter very poor and chewy not crispy. Driver came back to door and confirmed we had paid. I told him the chicken had been sent without the sauce - he apologised and said he'd get the manager to call us 'in a minute'. We're still waiting............... Paid around £23 for the meal, definitely not worth it and poor customer service. No refund offered or contact made from manager. Incidentally their flyer says 'under new management', hate to see what it was like before!!! Definitely do not recommend for delivery.

Order a delivery which can when they said it would, the food was lovly not greasy and came piping hot, the food was a little more expensive then where we normally go but it was well worth it,. Even my mum enjoyed it . Would deffo order again.

We ordered for four people for home delivery. The food took over 2 hours to come after calling several times and being told the food had left. The food was cold upon arrival and was very poor quality. The food appeared to have gone cold and then been microwaved before being delivered. The tofu was chewy and the chicken appeared to have been was soggy and overcooked. Avoid!

Just had our first order from crystal jade. Have previously liked xian (expensive, but good), king palace (not quite as expensive, quite good), lotus house (cheaper but much poorer). There was another takeaway on the high street but lotus house took it over sadly. First impressions is that its a bit cheaper than king palace and xian we think, definitely cheaper than xian, but much better than lotus house. I'll go here for take away in future and xian for splashing out.

I have just received a delivery from this place. As I live on my own I should have enough for 2 days. Plenty of food but all so overlooked and dry the whole lot has gone in the bin. Totally disgusting

Went here last weeek with collegues from work .Lovley Food& Plenty of it, Pleasant people and nice decor.Only thingI would say it , it took them ages to take away the used platters and plates.Bottle of House white £16.00 not too sad but not shep either.I would def eat here again.

Enjoyed our meal here. We ordered from the main (not buffet) menu and had mixed starters for two, followed by duck in black bean sauce and beef with ginger and spring onions with egg fried rice. The food was all of good quality and fresh-tasting. The rice was particularly enjoyable - non-greasy and with a good egg flavour. The service was friendly and quick. Overall, a good choice for when you fancy a "standard" chinese at a reasonable price.

The service was pretty poor in truth. We were on of 4 people in the restaurant and it took ages for our order to be taken. People arriving after us actually got seen to before us. The food was tasty. I would say the starters were the best part. The main I had boiled rice and chicken curry. The chocked was quite slimy and the rice was very stuck together like rice pudding. Won't be going back again however I will give this the benefit of the doubt that this was a bad day for them and mark them as average. But in all honesty that is being slightly generous.

Stumbled across this one when looking for a Chinese delivery in the area and we were very impressed!! Quick delivery, delicious food, not greasy at all and definitely the best beef in black bean sauce I've had in a while! Definitely recommend!

Well after searching the Area for a Chinese What did an all you can eat buffet I found the Crystal Jade and Wow I'm so glad I've found it.The food is amazing and the so are the staff.I highly recommend the smoked shredded chicken that's my favourite .I've visited Crystal Jade twice now and I've had a few take aways too. Go on and try Crystal Jade . I bet you ain't disappointed

Food was excellent. Easy the best Chinese in Orpington. The 'all you can eat' menu you is very generous, with a great selection and very reasonable. You are missing out if you don't visit this place

Great menu great food very quick service, very clean interior and a very good value for the excellent range of dishes, all beautifully presented and fresh cooked.I will definitely recommended and I would say it is the best Chinese in the area.Buffet dishes were cooked to order and brought to the table by waiters service.Excellent

What a fantastic restaurant and brilliant host.I recently visited for the first time with family for my 41st birthday and will defiantly be back.The food was lovely and as we went for there buffet option knew that the end price would not be an issue. Now before you think about Luke warm trays over cooked cuisine with all the good bits removed by other people fingers this is freshly cooked to Order and waiter service. The food was excellant but the point to bear if this was not good enough was the fantastic hosting by the who I assume is either the general manager or the owner ( apologised I'd did not have his name) More than simply taking orders explaining the origins and talking about his experiences in japan and China was a pleasant addition to the evenings events. The restaurant was not busy being a Thursday night so this am sure helped the more than attentive service provided. In summary a genuine welcome addition to the Orpington, a far cry to yet another charity shop or pawn broker and not another quick fix take away which has unfortunately taken over.Keep up the good work.

Great buffet menu available 7 days a week. All cooked fresh to order from the buffet menu. Very good service. Only thing it needs is more customers as only us and another table on a Saturday evening so the atmosphere is lacking. Lovely food. Give it a try!

I came here with a large group of friends for a buffet on a Sunday evening (pre-booked), and I must say that it was unlike any Chinese buffet I have been to before. Most of the time you will get heated trays full of lukewarm food which have been picked about by a succession of individuals, but not here. You are given a menu when you get to your table, and EVERYTHING is cooked to order, piping hot and very tasty! A large selection of dishes are on the menu, some not seen in other similar restaurants; the quality is very high and they are very nicely presented. The restaurant offers a takeaway service as well, which I have not tried, but if the quality is the same as the buffet, I can see this quickly becoming one of my favourites! A relatively new restaurant that are obviously out to impress, and they are doing a good job! A nice little touch in the restaurant - there are two large 'swan-like' creatures on the bar which are made entirely of lottery tickets!!

I haven't visited this place to dine in yet, but after the take away I definitely will be. The food tastes and smells very fresh, which made up for the slightly longer than expected wait. Good portions and they have some dishes that are not available elsewhere. Well worth a try!
