Lovely friendly service, I'm a vegetarian and didn't realise that the menu had more than I expected, Dawn explained that there were more options than just meat free carvery, I had the not chicken carvery and loved it. Definitely recommend.

Use the swan quite a lot ... food is always hot and presented well. The carvery has ample choice as well as the menu. Most of the staff are pleasant in particular a young lady named Paige who was chatty and smiley and attentive also a lady named Dawn who helped clear away used plates . A wonderful early evening outing .

Went here to watch the England game , and I'm embrassed what you see in the toilet, but yet I've seen a person pull a flag down and be barred , like people can do drugs in toilet and get away with it

Went jan 18th 2024 for 50% off mains . Had a lovely hot meal . We were waited on by a lovely well presented young lady named Paige who was very attentive and helpful 10 out of 10 to you all at this establishment we will return

Brilliant service provided by Michelle the manage. Nothing wastoo much trouble for her. We are regular visitors to the swan and would recommend a carvery here any night.

Called in eve saturday,didnt book.v busyasdarts and football crowd plus a hen do.still got us a table.had pizza,chips,onion rings,drinks and desserts.lovely meal.quick service and polite helpful staff.been before but mainly daytime.

A nice vibrant pub in the centre of town. If you want food, don’t bother. You’re actually lucky if you can order something you want, we tried for 4 different mains and a starter, and they were out of all of them. A bit like the Waldorf salad in Fawlty Towers! I was eventually able to order some breaded mushrooms to start and we ordered a couple of pizzas. The starter came with the pizzas along with a gruff apology for the delay. The mushrooms had obviously been ready for a while and forgotten about as they were rock hard. The pizzas were grim, Andrea ate about 1/4 of hers and I managed about half, tasteless and the raw onions and peppers didn’t help

Stayed here for a friends daughter’s 30th which was nearby. The room was beautiful, bathroom outstanding, would certainly visit again. The people running the hotel couldn’t do enough for you.

Went there 3rd February, took the misses and baby, Around about 6:30/7 we all had carvery, as it looked nice and fresh , only like £8 for a carvery as well quite cheap , and the service was nice and the food was 10/10 , nice and hot as well, would highly recommend and I will definitely be coming again

I came here with my family of 6 and we all had brilliant meals with no complaints. The service was good as we has a lovely waitress; Isabel/Izzy.She was quick to get drinks and cutlery and even helped look for a lost phone (which we found).Overall we will definitely come again and I will recommend to other families.

I work in the local area and come to The Swan regularly for meals after work etc. Whenever I come here the staff are always helpful and friendly, and the meals are always lovely and cheap, staff are happy to help with any issues. Adam one of the chefs is a lovely bloke, always says hello and is very friendly to myself and other customers. A real credit to the pub chain. Definitely recommend if in the area and looking for a nice warm cheap place to eat.

Very friendly staff, Michelle made us feel very welcome, as did the the other lady (I think her name was debbie) food was lovely, nice size portions and the ice cream as always is a big hit with the kids. Will definitely be returning.

Had an evening meal as part of stay at hotel. I felt the restaurant was only half open. Service was poor, the waitress ignored me and I had to get up from the table to get attention. Meal was so-so.

We have been visiting the swan coleshill for some years. Sometimes once or twice a week. We find it a lovely place where the carvery his exceptional. The staff also superb especially Laura who his so nice with the customers always helpful first class service....

As me and my partner passing through Coleshill we needed somewhere to stop for some food, we had excellent service from the barmaid Caroline who recommended some yummy items from the menu. Would definitely recommend.

Never write reviews but I’m currently sat here at The Swan writing this because of how disgusted I am. The chefs all seem like they have just came out of prison. The meat must be coming out of their wages as they were very stingey. The main disgust with this place was the two chefs hovering over the food and asking eachother if they have a spot on their elbow and then proceed to pick at it over the food, then briskly serving another unsuspecting customer.

Went for a meal and was provided great service. A lady called Simone lovingly greeted us and showed us to our table. Sean on the carvery deck was very lovely and welcoming and made us feel at home. Josh on the pizza deck made a delicious meat feast pizza and was the best I ever had here and would prefer it over Pizza Hut. Enjoyed my time here and we’ll definitely return. Thank you for your service!!!

Absolutely perfect cant wait to visit and see all the team again.Very organised food was beautiful could not find any faults what so ever.The general manager deserves a big pat on his back very well controlled beautiful enviroment perfect for all.Also the team work so hard and are very helpful, polite and friendly definitely worth a visit.

Went to the Swan with my wife for lunch and a few drinks,was greeted by a waitress you showed us to a table where we ordered drinks which came promptly.The restaurant and bar areas were being constantly cleaned.Food was very good had pizza which was cooked very wellOverall a very pleasant experience where with social distancing being very well organised felt very welcome and safe.woulf definitely use again.

Visited with my niece who was craving a carvery however we soon changed our minds when a really helpful chef (Josh) happened to walk past our table and talked us into having the pizzas, he promised he would make them even better than Dominos and he did not disappoint. The southern fried chicken definately hit the spot with my fussy pizza loving niece. I am not normally swayed on food however Josh was super friendly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. What a great attitude he had towards ensuring we were happy even checking up on us throughout our meal. Thanks Josh for making the meal a great one. I still now need a carvery though!!

Disappointing to see staff (off duty) sneaking there own drinks in on a busy night and sharing them with others. What else could they be doing??

Stayed Sunday 11.01.20, The room actually is very nice, recently refurbished, except the outer window could not be closed and even with secondary double glazing the noise from the fans/extractors outside on the roof woke me at 5am in the morning, not good when you have a 3 hr drive ahead off you!! I had to ram one of the pillows between the 2 windows to try & kill the noise!Didn't eat here in the evening but had paid for a cooked breakfast, and to be honest wish I hadn't!! Never seen so much dry food in one place, hash browns, fried bread hard as nails, bacon and sausage undercooked, nearly jumped onto my plate!!The eggs were as hard as nails, so asked for some fresh ones, which came a few mins later but these were just as bad!I said thank you to 'chef' when he fetched the eggs out, but never got so much as a 'no problem' or 'Good morning' Unfortunately one of the worst experiences of an Innkeepers Lodge I have add and won't be back here.

Took my family here today for dinner and the food was truly amazing and with the app and the daily deals it was so cheap. Honestly been before and wasnt impressed but today I couldnt have asked for any better. The service from the staff was just how u would expect and one member in particular couldnt help anymore going out of his way to make our experience the best it can (LEE) THANK YOU!!!

Had a lovely meal, food was spot on very delicious would so come back again, staff was lovely but their was two lovely young girls called Courtney and abi, worked well together to ensure we had everything we needed and made our meal very pleasant and always had a smile on their faces their wouldn't be nothing I could actually moan about it was lovely meal with my family.

We opted for a huge pizza and equally huge burger, which were cooked perfectly and although very busy, were delivered very quickly by a lovely bubbly waitress.Fantastic value for money, with "help yourself" fries and salads included. Highly recommrnded.

I always ate at the Swan. But never again. Fly landed on my food and the glass I had my drink in was dirty with lipstick. Did get the glass changed but didn't want to drink from it. Never finished my food. Complete waste of money. put me off eating there again.

Swan hotel is a prefect place to go to have dinner we have been going here for under a year and every visit is 10/10.food has always been great always loads of choice,the friendly welcome you receive when entering too leaving.waitresses are always polite and can't do enough for you which makes all the difference when going for a meal,THe hotel is always clean, tables cutlery,gravy station and food is always 10/10.

We made this our local for the few days we stayed in Coleshill. Televisions everywhere, great for watching the cricket. Beer cold. Comfortable seating. A couple of bar staff not overly friendly but one young girl delightful. Had the carvery on the Saturday night, plenty to choose from and decent enough quality. Quite cheap.

Having a drink with a group of friends some friends went outside for a smoke Not pleased with the way they where spoken to asked to more off steps but no please or thank you My friend said lots of cigarette ends on the top of the steps It was HER attitude came across very rude Not very professional No customers in here anyway!!

I went to the swan end of may. The manager was there and i’ve never seen such an unprofessional manager. He was treating his staff horrid, didn’t acknowledge the customers and just sat there doing nothing while the pub was really busy. The waitresses and bar staff were lovely people & i felt quite sorry for them that they had to put up with such a unprofessional man. I deffo think that the management of this pub should be looked into as i find him very uncomfortable.

I booked on line Monday afternoon for the Wednesday evening at 6.45 as there was 8 of us going out to celebrate my mom's 75th Birthday and wanted to be sure that a big enough table would be avaliable. We arrived by 6.30 and when I said we booked for 8 people i was asked how I booked as they hadn't set a table aside for us. As it was there was a big enough table avaliable so we got a round of drinks in which was about £20 and sat down at this point a member of the kitchen staff came and asked if we all wanted carvery as if we did we needed to order quick as they only had meat for about 10 more meals! We waited at the bar to order the meals for approx. 10 mins as there was only 1 member of staff on and a busy bar. When we eventually got served the staff member suggested we check the meat avaliable on the carving deck first incase there was not enough of the meats we liked avaliable. I had a look and there was a small piece of dried up beef a not much bigger piece of Gammon that at best was 1.5 portions and a turkey carcass that was dried up, the lad who was working the carver deck apologised that the morning staff who finished at 3 had not put any meat on to cook when they should have done and that the meat takes approx 6 hrs to cook so when the staff took over at 3 it was too late to do anything about it. The carvery normally serves until 9 and had run out by 6.30. Another member of staff apologised and said the same again and that the morning staff would be told off when they came in.

I visit the Swan regularly for a drink and a cheap meal, and find the food quality to be good for the price. It's essentially pizzas, burgers and the carvery - I've tried all of these, and they are all equally good. They generally have enough staff on which is great, and the food always arrives quickly.

Providing you can put up with the limited menu and sticky carpets then the swan offers a cheap night.

I like the fact that you can pay for your carvery based on plate size and go straight up to get meat and trimmings with no waiting.

We had wonderful service from the Manager and also Mitch & Michelle. After an initial problem with the booking (there were 15 of us) we could not have been treated any better. Mitch & Michele were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The carvery was good value for money and very tasty. Highly recommend.

I visited Monday evening with my family and Wow what an improvement from the last time we came. Everything was fantastic from start to finish. Greeted as we entered with a smile by Roisin and she truly went that extra mile to make sure everything was okay. From the children having colouring to explaining the menu as we have a few allergy’s she knew exactly what she was doing and helped us decide on our order. The food was Fantastic so fresh and hot! Also managed to squeeze a pudding in. Roisin truly made this a fantastic evening by making things look effortless and you could see she was the same with every customer she passed she’s an asset to your company and will definitely be returning.

Visited for the first time on Wednesday as I was in the area. Roisin, our waitress was very welcoming and helpful, she explained all of the deals for that day and nothing was too much for her, everything done with a smile. Fantastic customer service and food. Been to the Swan a couple of times, the food there has varied, sometimes it has been very tasty others it’s been not so good. I’ve had burgers, pizzas and carvery there, but think their pizzas were the item off the menu that stands out the most for me and tastes best. In terms of atmosphere it’s okay, not intimidating and family oriented crowd during the day or early evenings.

Popped in after dropping a friend at the airport and wow!! Great service and a nice cold pint! Staff helped with the car park machine and I felt everyone went out of their way to help. Will definitely be going back.

The beef at the carvery counter looked dry but as I didn't fancy the other meats offered, I thought I'd give it a try.

Staying in Coleshill and went here for food on our 1st night and have gone back every night since! The food is unreal the staff are friendly and the prices are decent too!! Their desserts are also gorgeous

Nice restaurant area after it's been refurbished. I'd recommend the pizzas: they're made and cooked on-site in a proper pizza oven. Look out for the daily deals too (e.g. burger and a drink, pizza and prosecco for a set price).

I used to take Mom here regularly up to about eighteen months ago, when she became ill. In those days, the carvery was excellent value for money and the quality was good.

Staying here on business as it’s local to where I am working for couple of days. I ll start with positives which will be far quicker than the negatives!!! Room is clean and tidy and very spacious also very reasonably priced so all good so far!! Parking on site, fantastic. Would be nice if staff informed you at check in you need to register your car on a portal otherwise face a hefty parking charge!! Now in fairness there are numerous signs around the pub about it, I just didn’t see them when checking in and wasn’t told anything about it!! Luckily I stayed in the bar tonight rather than going out otherwise I would have tears in the morning when peeling one of those plastic wallet things off my windscreen with a fine in it!!!

Decided to use the jukebox while we had 1 drink !!!! Ended up staying all day and all night playing out music choices that all the customers loved and so did the staff, the people that work here are all so welcoming, the best atmosphere in Coleshill thank you

Nipped in for a carvery with a buddy, the food was really good but the service was a little slow, even after the food we stayed for a drink the service was slow. Nice though overall, well worth a visit.

The first mistake we made was calling in here without checking the Trip Advisor reviews. The second mistake was ordering a meal. This was the worst meal we have had for a very long time. We ordered and then went through to the carvery: if we had checked first we wouldn't have ordered. All the meat and vegetables were dried out and looked as if they had been there for ages. One of our group ordered fish and chips, but even the fish was tasteless and no more than a thin piece of white fish in batter. We ordered two puddings with one of them being sent back twice before being left. The only positive about the evening was the friendly way a member of staff accepted the problem with the pudding before acknowledging that ours wasn't the first complaint and cancelling the charge for that one pudding.

I was told this place did good food, yeah right. The wife and I called for a carvery so we had a look at it first before ordering, so glad we did as it looked bad, the food looked dry as it was just sitting under hot lights and it looked like it had been there for hours. Decided to order the gammon instead and asked about it. I was told they carve it from the carvery and help yourself to veg and chips which were also ready cooked and baking under the hot lights. Walked out and went to the Rajrana instead.

Went for a carvery at the swan inn coleshill what a waste of money and time paid for 3 meals.there was no cauliflower no mash no veg ie carrots etc dried up roast potatoes and dried up stuffing cold gravy asked for fresh food to be put out 40 minutes later nothing had changed made a complaint and only got an apology DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME DONT GO THERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE DISAPOINTED

Took my grandchildren out for a treat food was ok kids enjoyed it buy adult meal get kids for a pound good value unlimited icecream parked in back carpark always have only this week got an 85 pound parking fine will never return here this an insult not done anything wrong never noticed any notices saying we can not park here only there for 1 20 minutes watch out big bill for using there vasilites

The refurbishment of this pub was much needed. The food has improved and the pizzas are fresh and tasty. The outside space is lacking here so not a great place to visit on a summer evening.

Born in Coleshill now living in North Derbyshire we travelled from North Derbyshire for a Vigil at the Coleshill War Memorial the Swan was the obvious choice for a Family meal , giving relatively good access to the War memorial especially for a couple of guests in their eighties with mobility problems,

Recently visited to celebrate a birthday so a group of 15 of us, we had pre-booked and the team their were very helpful. The food was better than most Calvary’s around there and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff are very friendly and pleasant:

Decided to try here as we couldnt be bothered to cook and I wanted to attend a candlelit vigil at the war memorial up the hill anyway. Since we last went it has changed from a Crowne Carvery to a Stonehouse (so now not offering a discount to military personnel which is annoying!!). Apart from a bit of decor change not a lot was different. Starters were good and the carvery and pizza fine as well. I tried a sweet of the chocolate/marshmallow pizza thing which was really nice. As it was a monday night it was pretty empty which suited us as there were no annoying kids. Staff ok but nothing special. Would try again in the future.

I popped in here for a drink. It’s ok, and average is a fair description. The “local” part to my explanation is that you get the very distinct impression that the locals all arrive, all with families in tow, and sit in huge family groups.

Chose here for four adults to eat breakfast as it offered pleasent surroundings and overall a good deal. The breakfast was buffet service of hot foods only and was ample for our needs. No real service offered other than to take the plates away. The food was plentiful and warm although they did cook us fresh eggs which were good just a little too greasy. The menu also offered alternatives such as pancakes and breakfast rolls. Can say neither bad nor good, for us, it was average.

A most enjoyable place to stay ..nice quiet room with a very comfortable bed lovely and tidy .. good complementary breakfast..nice friendly and helpful staff .. so good we decided to stay another night...

The place had suffered a flood, but management managed to get the carvery going. The meats were OK, but not spectacular and the vegetables were rather dried out under the hot lamps. I have certainly had better carvery meals at Toby Inn venues for about half of what this cost.

Thought we should give this place a try after refurbishment and new management. It was a was a waste of time. The place was messy and the tables packed too close. Ale was lacking - two out of three beers were off. Only one cider on tap. After some confusing explanations we were told we would have to wait an hour for pizza. We headed up the street to find amazing food and service at the Red Lion instead.

I have visited here twice over the past few sundays both with family since the pub has been refurbished and have got to say have been very disappointed with the carvery, the price has increased and the quality has gotten worse, both sundays the cauliflower has been so hard it has been inedible, their vegetable selection was very basic being only peas carrots and cabbage and the aforementioned inedible cauliflower. Considering the price hike you would expect more than very basic selection. Several of my family requested fish and were told there would be a ten minute wait, then after returning 15 minutes later we were informed they had ran out of fish and we would have to have carvery or a refund. The place looks nice and fresh since the refurb but they need to get the basics right to avoid losing custom! My most recent visit was with family from Shropshire who have been meeting us there for years and their feedback was that that was the worst carvery they had ever had there! I hope the management take these comments on board

I have just had a meal, with family at the swan hotel Coleshill. Now the hotel has had a well deserved refurbishement, the new concept was amazing with its new pizza station, delivering pizzas made to order, on freshly made dough not frozen like at O'Neil along side there traditional carvary area. The only difference you help yourself to the salad bar along side the vegetables area, which come FREE with your pizza you can even have the chips and veg if you want at no extra cost as well. We started with the stonehouse recommends starters for 5 there were 6 of us and found The portions enough for the 6 of us. They were hot and tasty, 1 of us had a meat fest pizza, which was loaded with meats etc, 1 had the carbonara pizza with was unusual with its becamel sauce not the tomato,but never the less very tasty, both ended up taking half home, as they were so big. 2 had carvery with lots of fresh veg cooked to perfection, roasters crispy, and veg not like concrete, 1 had the Gammon and chips, 1 had the veggie tart, all food was excellent. After a small break from food our waitress as if we required desserts, again we all had different sweets, the homemade sponges,were tasty and hot, the Eatonmess was scrummy with lots of fluffy cream. The staff were very attentive and explained that the token they gave us at the end of the meal, we were to place in on of the charity containers and when the staff hold there charity events any money's made would be given to the charity with the most tokens. All in all a very good experience and would recommend anyone to give the Swan Hotel a go.

Carvery and choice good when fresh, loses its quality when left _a little concerned about what happens with food waste ?

We chose to have breakfast her after staying in a nearby B & B and it was really good.

The carvery was looking a little tired by the time we arrived, decided on a drink first and then realised they were bringing out fresh food. This chain is owned by the same company as Toby Carveries so if you have been there you know what to expect. The breakfast next morning was something else, loads of choices on the buffet and the full English was one of the best.

The lady serving at the bar was rude and abrupt. The food was dry and stale. The tables were sticky and unhygienic and the place needs a deep clean in my opinion. We will not be returning to this pub.

Great value for veg only diners. Less than £4 for a veg only meal with veg gravy and lots of choice. Ideal for a winters day.

I came here hoping to have a meal as I was at a loose end, after speaking to a staff member I was advised I should just walk in and find a table, after she had walked past me 6 times I asked what the process was to get some food, i was advised I needed to order at the bar.

Breakfast was "ok" a little limited but well cooked.... Staff very friendly The place does need a serious refurbishment , stained seating and grubby walls . Toilets, don't bother!
