Been here many times but today is my last, worst carvery I have ever tried to eat in fact I left most of it, meat was very fatty, veg was so old and dry and stuffing was harder than my plate, I was told more veg and stuffing would be coming out soon but my wife had gone for southern tried chicken sandwich which would soon be ready. On the plus side she enjoyed but would of been nice touch to be told carvery was old dried out food

I came with friends this evening (may 1st) and was pleasantly surprised at the improvements made in the pub from the staff to the food quality. Girls serving were pleasant and helped us with our voucher and food quality was better than ever. Will definitely be coming back soon!

Went fir a quick lunch as the weather was nice we sat in the garden for over an hour in the sun the food was brought out we had a pizza to share it was beautiful

Lovley food today, we had their standard carvery for £8.99, each. great choice of meat, i had a slice of each, of beef. Turkey and gammon, the beef was lovley had a good range of vegetables all served perfectly, with rich gravy and our waitress Sandra was lovley and friendly will definately come again.

For a Stonehouse Pizza and Carvery, this was a big let down on this occasion. We intended to use the Ashbank for both Saturday evening and for a Sunday carvery. However after ordering two pizza on Saturday night and because of the poor quality of the food on this occasion we decided not to return on the Sunday. The Pizza was mainly crust and barely any topping on it, it was very bland and definitely not worth the money on this occasion.

Come here every Monday with my mum n sister for lunch. Sandra is one in a million, very welcoming and professional. Food is excellent

Visited for lunch for the first time in a while. I had the carvery which I couldn't fault and the staff were very polite. The pub has certainly changed for the better over the past year and will be visiting again soon.

Breakfast here is a triumph. Everything was cooked perfectly. Tasted wonderful. All you can eat so no matter how hungry you are you will be totally satisfied. Food always freshly cooked and when the pans are empty they are refilled quite quickly. Complete value for money. Would definitely recommend

Absolutely terrible customer service, waited over half hr for main meals which to be fair ok, but we ordered puddings to be told after waiting 15 mins and no sign of food we needed to go as the he needed the table in 10 mins. If this was karens diner I think we could understand but the manager simply gave us our money back and said he needs the big table, he would speak to let's say c...n after shift, not good enough he had upset 3 tables as we saw go stop him ,!

Food is lovely, however the table manager colin at entrance spoke to us in an inappropriate manner and was extremely rude to my mother and my elderly grandparents. Will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone.

Visited yesterday for a carvery. Paid for a vegetarian option of plant based chicken breast and a large carvery with pigs in blankets. We paid extra for both the vegetarian option and the pigs. We were told that there would be a 10 min delay as the vegetarian option has to be cooked and had no problem with this. The lad on the carvery went and placed the order for us and we hung around waiting for it to done. 20 mins later we got back in the queue, when we got to the front we were told that the veg chicken hadn’t been put in the oven and would be another 15 to 20 mins. At this point I opted to just have the vegetables. My partner’s pigs in blankets hadn’t been prepared and he was told if he wanted them he would have to wait another 15 mins. He decided to not wait or he wanted to eat with me. What should have been a quick visit took over an hour for a mediocre, at best, carvery that we ended up being overcharged for as a result of very poor communication between staff. I can’t understand why the woman who took our order at the till didn’t go into the kitchen, which is just behind her, or even pass the message onto the carvery staff, that there had been additions made to their “normal” menu. This would have been far more efficient and would have meant we would have got the vegetarian option and the pigs in blankets we had paid for. It’s a shame as could be a good place if run more efficiently. We won’t go back.

We visited for breakfast on the morning of 19th October, me my wife and 2 kids. From the moment we arrived it felt like a home from home setting. We travelled down from Scotland for a few days and stopped off to refuel before the long journey ahead. So we set off and realised we had left the little man’s changing bag, the customer service we received on getting this bag back to us was second to none. A true first class service all round.
