Fast and friendly little cash only chippy. Always good quality food with no concerns about getting I'll much perfed over other chippies in the area. Parking can be a nightmare best off walking if you live near by.

Outstanding this fish and chips shop it’s the oldest fish and chip shop in the Midlands they open there doors back in 1930 it’s modern inside with old fashion photos friendly staff good value for money love the chips the mushy peas & curry sauce was good & the cod was well cooked either crispy batter and humid on inside was perfect I can only give 10 out of 10 I can recommend this oldest fish and chip shop in Worcester. The staff are very polite and always smiling. The food is phenomenol great fish and chips everything was cooked so well it was lovely. This will be 2nd of many more visits. Excellent staff.

Only taking cash payments is not great

Didn't even walk in the door, pulled up outside and saw the blonde haired server with her finger in her ear, looked at my wife and we both said NAH! Hope she washed her hands before serving the next customer.

A really good chippy with all the classic options. Staff are always great! Only slight negative is that it’s cash only and I have to make a special trip to get some.

Service with a smile and what great Cod and Chips with scratchings! The Fish was thick and white as snow. Perfectly cooked. Chips were delicious with thin crisp and a texture like heaven. The batter is well seasoned and tastes delicious like the scratchings 10/10, will be making this a regular visit! All in all, well cooked delicious food.

My son and I called in on the way home. We made our order and it came to £12.60 but we only had £10 on us and we were working out what we'd remove to get to £10. Crispy Cod then just said "carry on, pay us back when you can." How's that for service? :)

Large cod could have been bigger, but it was good quality.

Had fish & chips from the Crispy Cod over the years and they have always been good Haven't been here for a few years and it's sad to say they are no longer on my list for being good .Had fish & chips last night and it was far from good .Very soggy chips and the batter on the fish was very greassy

Dreadful service, I called to try and place an order and was told “no you can come and queue like everyone else!” - was there really any need?! Why not just say “sorry we don’t take pre- orders”? Just so unnecessarily rude and safe to say we went elsewhere!

Best chip shop in Worcester been coming here since I was a teenager an in 30 now decent portions an all ways clean oil an the battered sausages are to die for and well the owner is an absolute legend always has smile on his face always friendly wish he would open a shop in warndon

Excellent fish and chips. Nice sized portion if you order a mini fish and chips. I found just the right amount and you have the option of a curry sauce or mushy peas. Quality over quantity.

Have gone to the Crispy Cod on and off for about 15 years and every single time has been outstanding, , light crispy and well seasoned batter, delicious cripsy yet sticky chips - if ever I have to get fish and chips anywhere else I always compare to the crispy codd and am always disappointed. By far the best and most consistent fish and chip shop around. FULL MARKS! Faultless.

Fish, cod roe was amazing, but the chips are either under cooked or over cooked maybe stale( horrible) didn't do the cod or roe justice!

Moved away from this chippy for a while as we had really small portion sizes but on the suggestion of a friend we tried it again and I'm pleased to say back to what we remember. Best fish and chips around and portions back to normal. We are now regulars again 😀

Very disappointed. Chips were overcooked and brown, sausage was lukewarm with grainy texture. Fish was dry and not at all flaky. Other reviewers had very positive experience so we must have gone on an off day but we won’t be back.

Probably the tastiest Fish and Chips I've had in ages. Cooked to perfection with plenty of flavour and a good sized portion. Will definitely be making a revisit.

Went here for the first time in a year, used ro go there regularly 10 years ago and was always amazing, and was delighted to find it hasn't changed, same owner and still by far the best fish and chips around. Light and crispy batter, chips are crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. Top marks!

Whenever we want a takeaway, we always go here. Fish is freshly cooked and chips are lovely. As it's popular there might be queue waiting outside. Do not despair, it is worth waiting for .

Very regular customer, usually great fish and chips over the years, but tonight disgusting, thick soggy batter, cold old chips and smaller than normal portion. So disappointed as not a cheap treat.

Have been getting fish and chips for years at least once or twice a month, has always been great Tonight it has gone in the bin, soggy thick batter, old tough chips, horrible!!! Will give it one more chance then switch if necessary.

Heard this was the best place in Worcester for fish and chips, so walked from downtown, arriving just after noon. Affordable lunch special on a small (still very generous!) piece of cod, chips, and mushy peas. The just prepared fish was simply out of this world. (Best since the Fort Cafe in Lerwick, Shetland Islands.) You could tell the queue would be growing even with a light rain falling. The lady at the register was very friendly, as were the patrons and the man handling the frying. The big pieces of fish were HUGE! A small was plenty for me and couldn't even finish the chips. Will never visit Worcester again without stopping in this place. Highly recommended.

Five of us had cod and chips and mushy peas early evening on the 1st Saturday in November. The chips were pale and tasteless, fish just about Ok but mushy peas about the worst I have had from fish and chip shop.-tasteless and very watery!

The finest battered cod you'll get in Worcester. A lot of chippys are hit and miss with their cod but this place always gets it bang on. Decent chip portions. Friendly staff who always make customers feel welcome.

You might have to wait on a busy Friday evening, queues regularly out the door, but its well worth it. I've tried fish and chips all over town and this is still the best place for cod and chips - perfection!
