I had a lovely experience in home and garden shop (Weetons, Leeds Rd) thanks to a super helpful shop assistant John! John went out of his way to look at different range of products with me and made sure I was happy with my purchase. I noticed he was just as kind and helpful to an elderly coupe whom he served before me. I really appreciate the awesome service and will definitely be back! Thank you John! 😊🌟🛒🛍️✨

Excellent local Yorkshire produce plus a few staple brands you'd expect to see in your usual local supermarket. Would absolutely love to be in closer vicinity to this to make it my local shop. The deli counter is amazing the biggest fritata i ever seen, and that mushroom and Cheddar Pie WOW just delicious. We bought Lamb Tagine and Beef bourguignon simply fabulous!!!The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere accompanied with lovely staff apart that restaurant manager Rebecca need to be more professional and stop yelling at staff instead to help them. The service was great and food came quite fast but will say really average .Service from Bruna excellent.

Food was good and service from the waiters was great. However, the manager spoke to my wife extremely rudely when she was breastfeeding our baby in a place a waiter had helpfully guided her to breastfeed (as our table space was too narrow). He told her very abruptly that she must move and should not have been there (at an empty table). There was no apology. Needless to say, it ruined our first meal out since baby was born.

Went yesterday on arrival at 11.36 told it was now lunch menu even though said earlier menu cut off was 11.45. We were ok with that, shown to a table we were given menus but no one came to offer coffee until 5 past 12, to say sorry lunch was running late & would be 10 or 15 mins. By this time we'd been sat down 20 mins with no drinks. All the staff seemed a bit stressed no one very pleasant, we decided not to wait any longer and left. We went into the little cafe in the garden centre & had a sandwich there. The 2 girls working there were lovely & the sandwich & coffee was fab. The food is always amazing here I'm surprised they can't sort out the customer service in the restaurant all the other staff here are really friendly. I'd give 5 stars to the cafe but the restaurant needs sorting.

Large, stylish garden centre / deli / cafe restaurant with plenty of free parking, conveniently located just south of Harrogate. Service is excellent and prices in the cafe are reasonable, food is high quality though the coffee cups are a bit on the small side (my only gripe). The deli is full of beautiful produce but pricey - worth a browse.

John C saved us a great disappointment next December. We were about to buy what we thought were warm white tree lights in the sale when John checked that we knew these were classic white lights which, in fact, are a yellow shade of white. We changed them for warm white but, if John hadn't pointed this out, we'd have been greatly disappointed next December when we dressed the Christmas tree.

My only qualm is the ammount of shoppers, before it was weetons, crimple hall had like 3 people in at any given time. I ordered the beetroot and hummus sandwich. I didn't realise there was such a global shortage of beetroot and chunky hummus that they decided to miss them off the sandwich. According to the waitress an alternative reason they were missing was the chef is busy! Either way, I was offered a cup of tea as compensation, which might have been acceptable if we hadn't already got our coats on to leave. I understand why they don't offer refunds as they would be refunding more than they take!

So disappointed in the service. The supervisor was fantastic but unfortunately the service was atrocious. We were shown a good table as we booked but waited 20 minutes before we had to ask staff to take our order. We had to chase up the food and were offered no condiments to accompany the cooked food. We were also offered no complimentary jugs of tap water as were other tables who were served before us. The tea and coffee arrived 20 minutes after our food which was not good for a cafe charging top prices. The supervisor I repeat was superb and offered us discount, however the service ruined the visit. I do understand that restaurants are busy however they should limit the numbers if they are unable to offer proper service. We may have been unlucky but will think twice about eating here again. As a footnote we spent a lot of money in the shop.

We have been here several times - always exceptionally good……… However, we came for mid afternoon lunch before going to Manchester for a concert…. 50% of us were disappointed ! In this country, burgers are always an issue. Depends on who made them, bought in frozen, made fresh etc as to how they can be cooked. A barmy arrangement as they are no different to a steak, or indeed steak tartare ! I asked if I could have the Wagyu Beef burger cooked to order….. No, well done. Ok, still, I thought, prime Wagyu Beef, seared, tasty - will still be good, so I went for it. Oh My… Birds Eye do a better burger, sorry. If that really was Wagyu, the beast must have missed several massages 🤣 Anyhow, Woody enjoyed what I just couldn’t finish. The first time I have been disappointed at such a normally excellent establishment. Change the recipe, use only beef and salt and pepper - no fillers or other stuff. If you want inspiration, go to Farmhouse, knocks spots off yours. Her Croque Monsieur was superb, wish I had ordered it….

I have never felt more unwelcome than at the Weetons restaurant. Despite not being advertised as 'By Reservation Only', my friends and I were treated rudely by staff when we arrived and requested a table for coffee & brunch. Staff seemed to see us as an inconvenience, even though the restaurant was almost completely empty. We were told that we could not sit in the main restaurant (only the coffee area at the front) and furthermore that we could not order food. When we were served our coffees, they were the wrong order, yet we were made to feel like it was our fault. The service was so appauling, that one of my friends commented 'why do I feel like they hate us?' I used to think very highly of the Weetons brand, but would not return to the restaurant at the Leeds Road store due to the poor customer service and attitudes of staff.

A Transformative Experience! We have been visiting this destination for years but in recent years its really stepped up its game, now a Restaurant, Food Hall, Home + Garden Centre and even an Event Hire! It has always been a charming spot for garden lovers, but over the past few years, it has truly transformed into a must-visit destination. Here's a what you can expect: Dining Experience: The restaurant at Weetons has elevated its offerings significantly. The menu now boasts an array of dishes that cater to both casual diners and those looking for a more upscale dining experience. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between rustic charm and modern sophistication, making it suitable for a relaxed lunch or an elegant evening out. Standouts include their locally-sourced Yorkshire Beef and the artisan cheese platter, which perfectly complements the local wine selection. Service is warm and attentive, ensuring a dining experience that feels both indulgent and homely. Food Hall: The food hall has always been a highlight, but now it has expanded its repertoire. Shelves are stocked with an impressive range of both local and international products. From freshly baked bread to exotic spices, and from homemade preserves to a wide selection of craft beers, the food hall now caters to a broader palate. The quality and diversity of the produce are commendable, reflecting Weetons' commitment to supporting local artisans while also embracing global flavours. Home + Garden Centre: Newly added to the Weetons experience, the Home + Garden Centre is a delightful extension. It features an array of gardening supplies, plants, and home decor items that blend seamlessly with the aesthetic of Harrogate's countryside charm. Whether you're looking to enhance your garden or seeking unique home accessories, this section provides both inspiration and quality products. The staff here are knowledgeable, often offering tips on plant care or interior styling. Event Hire: Weetons has started offering event hire, which is ideal for those planning intimate gatherings or corporate events. The venue can be adapted to different themes, and the in-house catering team ensures that food and beverages are tailored to the occasion. Their attention to detail in setting up and executing events has been praised by those who've used the service, highlighting the flexibility and professionalism of the team. What makes Weetons stand out is not just the individual enhancements but how they've integrated to offer a comprehensive lifestyle destination. It's not merely about shopping or dining; it's an experience that invites visitors to linger, explore, and enjoy. The transformation of Weetons into a multifaceted venue where one can spend an entire day—browsing, eating, and even planning events—speaks volumes about its understanding of modern consumer needs. It's now a vibrant hub for food, culture, and community in Harrogate, making every visit delightful and new. Whether you're a local or a tourist, this spot has something for everyone, all wrapped up in a beautifully curated package. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the best of Yorkshire's culinary and lifestyle offerings.

Nicely laid out garden centre. Restaurant food is pricey, but quality is very good. Plenty of variety in the shop. Some products were a bit ridiculously priced past what is reasonable. But if you want the convenience of getting it there rather than driving somewhere else to get it for half the price then that's the choice you make. I only marked down a star as there was no staff working the checkouts when I went to pay and the manager of the shop on her own little counter seemed self entitled like it was beneath her to serve a customer wanting to pay for goods. She also made a rude dismissive comment which I thought was unprofessional and really bad customer service. The woman who ended up serving me on the checkout was polite and helpful, but there was a considerable delay as some of the product barcodes weren't loaded on to their til system and had to be put through manually by someone else. Overall a nice place that I'd visit again, and hopefully by then those in charge will have taught the shop manager how to correctly interact with customers and ensured that the products they are selling are correctly priced and loaded onto their systems.

I was visiting York and on my way there I needed to charge my EV. I had looked at various options and saw there were some Tesla chargers at Weeton’s Food Hall near Harrogate on the way. Upon arrival I plugged in the charger and it started charging almost straight away. I had some time so popped into Weeton’s with the intention of getting a coffee, even a sandwich. However the menu looked really interesting, so decided I would have a proper lunch there. I went with the Nidderdale Lamb Rump, which came with Jerusalem artichoke purée, sautéed Jersey royal potatoes, and a borlotti bean salsa. As it was been cooked to order it took a little time to arrive, which as I was charging (and Tesla charge idle fees) I was a little concerned about, but I knew really I had plenty of time. The plate of food looked really nice. The lamb was cooked perfectly, it was still pink, but there was also a lovely external char. I enjoyed the Jerusalem artichoke purée, maybe a little more would ave been nice. I liked the potatoes, though if they were smaller, I might have enjoyed them more, even so I did like them. The borlotti bean salsa was an interesting addition, and I liked the contrasting textures that added to the dish. I finished and cleaned the plate. I was really impressed with the whole dish, yes there are minor changes I would have made, but in reality this was an excellent plate of delicious food, that I loved eating. Would I go again, yes, but a five hundred mile round trip for lunch, is probably a little extreme. However the next time I need to visit North Yorkshire I will go out of my way to visit Weetons for lunch.

Was really looking forward to visiting this new venue on Leeds Road today (Sunday). The hype was real. So much so that I didn't give my girlfriend time to finish her make up or hair. Our wish to be seated outside was granted for breakfast. The service was great, however, once our scrambled egg breakfasts had arrived, a black hair was discovered and the salmon and eggs weren't that nice. I only ate half of mine and the coffee was distinctly average. The Manager was fantastic, in fairness, and removed the charge for my girlfriend's breakfast. We were both shocked at the prices in the foodhall with their outrageous markups. We found a secret spot outside the back to catch the sun's rays but got bored with the vibes and pompous people around us so left after 5 minutes. Thank you for this experience, Weetons, but neither of us will be in a rush to return!

An out of town Weeton's experience. Plenty of parking, great spacious building and great choices. All very busy on a Sunday so booking required for restaurant but room at the tables by deli ( takeout) or smaller cafe. Lovely coffee and superb scones. As usual the deli is well stocked with delightful stuff but now we have glamour for the outdoors inc furniture and plants to choose from as well.

I visited today and yesterday after a trip to Harrogate- it was so good I had to go twice! The staff were great but the selection of items and food was just amazing! So good to see produce you can’t find anywhere else and the salad bar and deli counter was heaving with all the delicious treats I was served by a really nice lady on the deli counter from Southampton who said she’d only worked there three days- her customer service was excellent I already can’t wait to go back to visit the restaurant

We found it by accident. We found that it has a cafe which has disposable cups and bags, but has very nice cakes, which looks like they are make them on site. Would recommend to have a look around, they also have a butcher’s very knowledgeable on the meats. There is a restaurant in the middle we’ve not tried yet. It looks ok. The garden centre is well set out, easy laid out and no steps. So good for wheelchair chair access. I place photos on Facebook

This place is so expensive, it's nearly extortionate. Where do these people get their prices from. A small bottle of fresh orange 🍊 juice £9. If you pay these prices, you have more money than sense.

Good sized place with selection of restaurants/cafes. Quite expensive for our pockets and everything was high-end quality goods. Outdoor plants area ok but needed to be bigger with more selection available. Cheese scones and lovely coffee in smaller cafe were great! Good fresh flower section in foyer.

Very nice and modern items. This place has it all. From plants to everyday items. The supermarket locally sourced food. Lots of verity of raw food, drinks and canned items. The restaurant: it is a must visit, the food is fresh and well cooked. The 28 days aged 8oz rib eyes stakes isss the best thing ever. Big shoutout to the Chef Fisher and his team for an outstanding food. The dining area has a decent space for an Indoor and outdoor seats. It is accessible for wheelchair users. Staffs are nice. Highly recommending the visit.

The restaurant is amazing with a selection of lunch dishes made from high quality produce. Lamb rump is very tender and just about right, they did not overcook it. Prices are surprisingly affordable. You can find a handful of artisan/upmarket groceries from their Food hall. Got a box of strawberries and some pastries. They also have Yorkshire crisps on their shelves what a relief for me! Not many place sell them. Now I know where to restock.

We were staying in Harrogate & we stopped here on our homeward journey for breakfast & a "mooch around". First the breakfast in the restaurant was excellent, although for me its prices clearly reflected how I view the residents of Harrogate, well off. It wasn't cheap, but the food was quality. We then did our "mooch about", as with the restaurant, the items here appear top quality, but for people on a tight budget, it's not, in my view, the place to shop. It's big & there were a further 2 cafés serving drinks, croissants & alike. Enjoyed the visit & my wallet is pleased there's not one close to home. Although an occasional breakfast there would be a delight. Maybe if I win the lottery!

We visited here since I was charging my car, we were traveling to York, we were so glad we went in! The produce from the fresh veg, and fruit to the bakery and the butcher, if you want to try the produce they have a restaurant within and a cafe at the bakery for a quick refreshment or a coffee. There is a wide range of flowers and garden furniture. I wish we had a Weetons in Glasgow.

Attentive service and quality food. The range is extension and caters well for children. Not cheap nor extortion in the restaurant. The site has a positive air of quality and upmarketness. Shop has good selection of premium products, again not cheap nor ridiculous. Homeware and garden shop sells premium products which prices out the average shopper but is quality wares for the discerning wealthy customer.

Alice and the whole events team at Weetons are amazing! We have been customers for a number of years and one week ago we hosted our wedding reception in the beautiful events space at Weetons. Alice arrange a menu tasting for us and the food was fantastic. All of our guests loved it. From the canapés to the deserts, it was not your standard wedding food, but high quality produce, served beautifully! I wanted to design our table decor and Alice and the team then laid everything out just as we wanted. We also had our DJ and cake maker come to set up the morning of the wedding and Alice oversaw every detail. Overall we couldn’t recommend Weetons enough for events! It truly was a beautiful evening made so stress free and easy by the whole team! Thank you!

Waiting staff were nice and helpful. The food hall section isn't dog friendly like the rest of the area. You only find that out when you walk in since there's no signage. The food was nice but overpriced, with too much cheap salad filler. Sides arrived late, and some options sold out. Maybe we caught them at a bad time.

Did not try the restaurant. Seems the vegetable varety is less with the new management. Ready to grow herbs, varety is poor. Ready to grow vegetables such as peppers are non-existent. Sorry to see what was an excellent garden center go down hill.

Overall a great place to visit, beautifully laid out with great attention to detail throughout. Met friends for lunch and although the service was great the food was very disappointing. The Caesar Salad had very dry chicken and an Halloumi sandwich consisted of dry Ciabatta, dry salad and a rubber like cheese. It’s not that difficult to make a decent sandwich. Great presentation but lacking in quality and taste. Needless to say we left most of the food we were served.

This is by far the worst Premier Inn I have ever stayed in. The reminder email advertises early book in (11:00) for £10, but only on arrival. When we arrived, we were told this was not the case and we had to wait until 3pm, but should go do something else whilst waiting. As we only had just over an hour to wait, we decided to stay in the foyer as the restaurant/bar was out of use and there is very little in the area (except for a train station). The elevator was also out of use, which listening to other visitors was quite a big problem although did not really affect us directly. The Premier Plus room that other members of my family had stayed in, had no heating and very mild hot water, not suitable for a shower. This was "rectified" by giving them an oil radiator. The quad room that I stayed in was not suitable for the number of beds that were required to sleep the 4 of us, with furniture having to be removed to make way for the beds. Despite the TV having Freeview, there were no channels other than the basic 5. Breakfast was served in the (most of the time closed) restaurant, and whilst the continental breakfast was buffet style, the hot breakfast was ordered at the table, and then your menus taken away (so make sure you order enough the first time). The hot breakfast took quite a while to come, which worked out in our favour as the hotel contains the worlds most inefficient toaster. But I was later informed by party members that the wait for breakfast had reach an hour. Checkout was fairly straight forwards, as there was no one around. Safe to say, I will not be returning and would advise readers to consider alternatives.

My husband and I went tonight for the bottomless belt where you can eat as much as you like for an hour. We were first timers but had studied the menu beforehand. We felt there was plenty of choice and especially liked the veggie tacos. After a while a few desserts came round on the belt, which were also lovely. The staff were very helpful and made some items on request. We were full before the hour was up but had both eaten more than the cost of the meal. Would eat here again.
