Crepeaffaire Chester in Cheshire West and Chester

Lovely staff and food, but I think the food needs to be served not on paper and maybe not the metal 'plates'; the paper just went soggy and it went cold pretty quickly

Visited 20th Dec . My son my friend and myself. Ordered 3 meals with 3 drinks. Siobhan on her own...took 30 mins for our coffee to arrive ...followed shortly later by our crepes....all of which were half raw and obviously rushed. Send our 2 salmon (benedict) back...was promised a fefund of £19 ...as Siobhan said she would find my card purchase and refund me. Nearly 2 weeks on....nothing !! Live 20 miles away but will still confront them with their lies . Avoid ....coffee is seriously expensive and food gone down hill. Won't be visiting here again!!! Avoid

Food and staff was nice, but the Toilet was disgusting. Dirty floor, the toilet is particularly back. which has put me off coming back!

Unfortunately while the staff were lovely, everything else was not good. The coffee was extremely weak. The breakfast crepes had slightly underdone crepes and were not hot enough. Finally, despite the fact we went in about an hour after opening, the toilet had clearly not been cleaned.

Great spot for coffee or a bite. The cannolis are amazing, and the staff are super friendly. Been here twice already, and I’ll be back.

Brilliant food, and chilled atmosphere. The crepes there are tasty. Easily my go to place for food in Chester.

Very average (thick) crepes badly cooked and over-priced & that’s before what can only be described as unclean environment. Filthy cutlery, unclean tables, dirty floors, dirty plates stacked for washing, messy toilet, understaffed .. I won’t go on any further .. AVOID HOW THIS PLACE GOT A 5 STAR HYGiENE RATING IS BEYOND ME

This place is blighted by awfully lazy staff who were more interested in themselves than customers. How do you undercook crepes? Simply, they weren't crepes because they were too thick and undercooked in the middle. Coffee awful, service non-existent. I asked for salt and was told to go and fetch it myself. As regards hygiene rating, it's a joke. Cook of the minute (they appear to rotate) was eating as she was cooking. That's a big no no. Music playlist was crappy rap/house music which the staff were dancing to but no one else was. My recommendation is to give this place a wide berth in future.

Very beautiful and atmospheric cafe. The coffee was delicious and the sweets too. The reason I will never come to this cafe again is because the girl was washing the floor when we ordered coffee. The smell of detergent was all over the cafe. I think floors should be washed after closing or at least 15 minutes before. Moreover, she moved to wash these floors closer to our table, although we sat at the very beginning of the hall so as not to inhale this smell. The cafe should smell of coffee and pastries, not chemicals for washing floors.

Popped in here for a quick lunch and jolly nice it was too - my super veg avocado crepe was light, fluffy and bursting with veg, very tasty. Efficient, pleasant staff and good central location. Recommended

Would bring Thom Yorke here for a crepe or two. Food was bangin’ and the staff were too. Big selection to choose from and all are good. Would eat again, cheers.

Very poor. Ultimate ham and cheese crepe was undercooked so still had doughy texture. Lemon and sugar one that my wife had was also undercooked. That is inexcusable. Staff were more interested in dancing to the music they’d selected which was terrible. We didn’t expect rap music in a creperie. Staff were very scruffy and bone idle. I asked for salt and pepper and was told where to find it. I don’t expect the person cooking crepes to be standing there eating the darned things. Very unhygienic and total lack of professionalism. They can’t complain they were busy as only 3 tables occupied and 5 staff. If I was the manager I’d sack them all. We won’t be going there again!

Order was cold and soggy. Whipped cream on both shakes when opted no whipped cream and overall not good service. Absolutely unacceptable and turned up 2 hours after placing order.

Lovely space for a family or friends hangout or solo coffee. Waffle was good but the Oreo shake fell a bit flat, still overall a good experience. The best part was the service which was quick and friendly!

I went to Crepeaffaire in Chester this afternoon with my boyfriend and we had a bad experience unfortunately. We both ordered two deluxe hot chocolates and they tasted really sour like the milk was out of date. The girls in the cafe weren’t very apologetic, but they offered to make us new ones. The new ones tasted watery and didn’t taste like hot chocolate at all. We left the cafe and our drinks. I will be making a complaint about this because it could make people very ill - clearly the milk was left on the side and not checked if in date, not on at all.

Quick service and good food. Son was very happy with his Ultimate Nutella crepe.

Just a bit different. Crepes are delicious and service good. I'd like the rest room facilities to be updated and then I'd give 5 stars.

If I could give 0 stars I would the crepes taste like chewing gum in my mouth dirty dishes every wear and the toilet is horrible and the latte was cold DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

The two young ladies that had been left to run the cafe during a busy lunchtime in school holidays did a very good job. We were sat near the counter and they were a bit stressed as I think somebody had gone and left them to it! But they did great and should be proud of themselves.

Travelled there from Liverpool to have a lovely breakfast with my husband. Door was locked, the guy then unlocked it, said they have some electrician work to do, so they will do only take aways on the day, and will open in about an hour. No note on the door, nothing at all. 2 hours later we saw this place being open and people were sat in with no problems. Disappointed as otherwise wouldn't do such long trip, but luckily found another place to have our breakfast at.

Quick service, friendly staff and best of all lovely crepes! Great place for lunch in Chester highly recommend.

Decent place for crepes, speedy service once you’ve ordered and they taste create.

I’ve tried their crepes twice, first time on Deliveroo which was a weird experience as the delivery people messed it up.. took a long time for me to receive my food but the store sorted it out in the end and the food was still warm when it arrived even though it took hours. Today I went in to order a takeaway. Lovely crepe, the bacon and maple is my favorite. And the Nutella. Kinder waffle and mango crepe is ok… Iced coffee was very yummy. The lady serving me was amazing, very calm despite my large order, and polite, very efficient too. If you ordered on your phone after scanning on the QR code on the table, with the code on the menu, you get 10% off. Lovely place, I would visit again with my girl friends or even for a date. :) Only thing is it’s quite pricey. Otherwise I would give full stars. :)

Great food my kids loved our visit here! Shan was amazing! Brilliant with my kids and put a smile on all of our faces with her bubbly personality! She’s a credit to you guys! We will be back for sure!

I visited crepeaffaire Chester today with my wife and son, the 3 girls on shift were wonderful, the food was fantastic, BUT however the only customer toilet was out of order, (I know as I run my own establishment) that not having a working an accessible customer toilet and having over 10 seats is illegal to be open to customers that aren't takeaway... You do know this right, I know this isn't anything to do with the staff in store and makes me question the reliability of the HO team... Also I'd like the point out the heat in that store is unbearable, I feel so apologetic for the girls working all day in that. I would never do this to my own staff.

The food and staff were lovely. The temperature however was oppressive. I could barely breathe it was so hot. My ice cream was practically soup within about 3 minutes. There was a fan behind the bar blowing hot air around. The staff apologised and I felt bad for them but I wasn’t able to stay long because of the heat. I won’t be back until this is fixed.

Lovely store, been coming here for months now. The girls are always nice and polite. The store is too warm though melted me bloody ice cream just sitting here! Could also do with a bit of a refurb looking a bit tired.

Really enjoyed the waffle. The rest of the family enjoyed crepes, croissant and millionaire bar. All of excellent quality.

Superb crepes and lovely milkshakes

Chose somewhere local for a business lunch ,. This place had a nice atmosphere , good menu , lovely staff , good music and fab coffee . Stayed for several hours and bought several drinks and some cannolis too. Will be back again .

Food is always good .. a little pricey but most places are these days! Downside .. No cash! 🤷‍♂️ we are not a cashless society so never understand this.

Came in and ordered a vegan crepe and a vegan coffee , both were served quickly and were piping hot . Really lovely staff , nice to see people who enjoy their job! Great music too!

Filthy toilets and toilet room. Desperate of paint and general maintenance. Overflowing waste bin with uneaten crepes etc on the floor at the side of counter all this during a very quiet afternoon. Tables need updating and staff need to be trained further in customer skills, relations & professionalism. Daughter said the crepe was okay

Ordered a gluten free crepe and it was just a pile of inedible rubbery mess. It was cooked one side and grey and uncooked on the other side. Very disappointing

They had no ice for iced drinks and had no pastries. The app just had a blank space where the croissants should have been with no explanation. They offered chilled coffee but were really a waste of time. Disappointed.

Terrible service from the staff, particularly a lady with green hair, very rude treated us like we was an inconvenience & no manners.

I’m confused as to why it states the shops shuts at 6pm, but I was told by the green haired lady today that the shop shuts in 30 minutes when wanting to eat in, so I didn’t sit in and eat, bare in mind it was only 4:45pm. The food was lovely but the atmosphere from the staff was very unwelcoming, I would not return strictly due to the customer service.

Most amazing service and wonderful food!

Good food and a busy day due to the £2 tuesday deal, however, terrible wait time and plates left on tables regardless of new customers sitting down and for a very long wait time, adequate customer service additionally

Lovely crepes, great coffees. Savoury and sweet options. Not cheap but good quantity and delicious. Occasionally low staff number and slight delay. (2 Visits - we are fans!)

Food is amazing, the service isn't the best with you using your phone to order isn't the best and the atmosphere is generic indie coffee shop but overall amazing place would recommend but sadly quite empty.

Awful service. My friend and I waited an hour for 2 crepes and we only got them in the end because we had to go up and ask about it. Got both our orders wrong too. We weren’t the only ones to complain.

Honestly was disappointed with this spot. I love a sweet treat and stopped here for a snack while in Chester. The crepe itself wasn’t great and the “ice cream” arrived melted. For the price I was expecting a lot more than what arrived. The staff didn’t seem very interested and it took a long time for the food to arrive. I’m not sure if I visited at a bad time.

Came here for lunch with my husband on our anniversary 💕 Loved the food!!! The staff are super lovely and friendly as well! Prices are really affordable and worth the money too ^^ We had the Love You Lotus and Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese, loved both very much 😋

Came in for breakfast even though it was early the girl that served us (she said her name was Shannon) was attentive and bubbly, I’m vegan and have other allergies so she helped me in deciding what to eat and we had a lovely conversation! We had a lovely time I can’t recommend this place enough!

A very disappointing trip! Encouraged to order online however reception inside was very poor. Therefore after 25 very frustrating minutes trying to order we were presented with the smallest portion of food £7 has ever yielded! Literally 2 minutes later we had eaten and were out of there. Tables were sticky, staff disinterested and the toilets and main cafe in need of repair. So many other good places to eat in Chester.

Food & staff were great but let down by the app which allowed us to order crepes that weren’t available.

Nice place which has a variety of different options. Even a menu which is strictly vegan which is brilliant. The only 1 issue which i wasnt keen on was they didnt wear gloves when making the crepes. Other than that lovley little cafe.

Coffee was disgusting. No spoon. No chocolate powder sometimes then powder other times. It was like dishwater. Absolutely disgusting. It’s just not consistent. Come every week for a crepe but it usually disappoints somehow

I've just had a truly wonderful coffee and a wee at this pleasant crepe & coffee shop. The staff really are a cut above the rest. Great disabled access and toilets too.

A nice place for a family treat. Good selection of sweet as well as savoury pancakes. Staff are attentive and helpful. The woman who served us was happy and chirpy. The cafe is clean and bright. You can see the pancakes being made, right behind the counter, so you can have confidence in the cooking. I sampled a savoury pancake with cream cheese and smoked salmon, which came with a generous side of rocket. My son had a sweet pancake with Nutella, whipped cream, banana and chocolate sauce. We both enjoyed our food and couldn’t fault it.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere everytime

Had a lovely time here, I was served by Jenna who was welcoming and friendly. I had the ‘love you lotus crepe’ and my partner had the ‘ultimate Nutella’ and a ‘Nutella shake’ and was all perfect!

Fantastic service and food! My wife, 4 year old, our our little 1 month old and myself were made to feel welcome as soon as we entered. The place is really nicely decorated and has a nice cozy feel about it. We arrived just as they had a power failure but the staff went out of their way to ensure we were still able to have some delicious croissants and 2 large cups of tea! Cant recommended Crepeaffaire in Chester enough, we will be making it a regular stop off on our visits to the city. Many thanks to the staff for their amazing hospitality and the delicious food!

Delicious crepe with very generous amounts of topping and filling. The staff also very kindly made our toddler a plain crepe at our request. We got a sweet crepe but plan to go back for a savoury.

It was a quick mid-morning break, or so we expected. We’ve never had to wait so long for coffee. If only they’d warned us, we could have gone elsewhere, and avoided our disappointment. My wife compared the very slow barista here with the speed she’s seen them work at Thorpe Park. The only good thing the coffee and pastry were all very tasty when they arrived. Another problem was that they only have 1 toilet, which struggled to cope with the demand. This was our second visit, on our first visit, earlier this year, the service was very fast. Shame, if only the staff had better training, and could work more quickly, we’d love to use them again.

All the staff are super friendly (especially Jenna who served our table) and the quality and freshness of the ingredients are unmatched! Definitely a stop for any lover of confectionary treats!

Shannon was so nice and helped me pick the nicest crepe. Love it here and always visit when I’m in Chester. Can’t recommend enough.

very nice little place on bridge street came in around a week ago about 4, and the worker Jenna was putting fresh pastry’s out for display and stopped to talk with us, made us feel relaxed. We come about once a week and will definitely be coming back!

Lovely little cafe, shame our experienced was ruined by a very loud staff member (jemma?) kept swearing and talking so loud I could hear her in the toilet.

Food was good, service was okay but the app was horrendous and didn't work well.

It was a busy Sunday I Chester and we were on a walk and needed a stop. We found the shop on the high street so we walked in and the food was amazing we were in a group of eight so the wait time was quite a while so the refunded us our hole order when half of it had already been eaten. Food was super nice and it had such a nice calm atmosphere overall would return for more amazing crepes

Ordered food at 14:03, it arrived at 16:30. When it did arrive, it was the wrong order. £22 for one cold crepe is a lot of money!

Food and service was great. The atmosphere was poor needed some background music. On the whole great crepes tasty and a great price.
