Found this superb restaurant on google maps! We arrived a little bit before opening time but they suggested we stay for a drink in their longe area. I ordered the mixed grill which was amazing and hubby ordered a curry again superb. Service was fabulous and I would definitely recommend this lovely restaurant

Don't bother going as they may or may not be open. We were going to stay but the had closed u til further notice meaning we had to find other accomdation as we hadn't been notified. Owned by a pub management company who don't care. We weren't the only ones...we stayed in Burnsall and even they had heard the various horror stories of people turning up having nowhere to stay.

Fantastic, home cooked food, well done Chef, also three very attentive, polite young staff, all happy to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. Was a pleasure to eat here this evening. Visiting from Australia, remebered this wonderful Inn from last time. We were not disappointed to return. Service second to none. Food cooked to perfection, and atmosphere superb. Well done. Hopefully will get to eat here again before we depart. Five stars.

Unfortunately we didn't stop here but the public house itself is very nice set a beautiful location, bonus was they were also preparing to film the next season of All creatures great and small so the outside of the building had been renamed along with other nearby property's.

We spent the night in a twin room. On arrival the pub was a bit busy but the landlord took the time to welcome and show us the room. The room was clean and the en-suite whilst not the biggest was clean and functional. After a great night's sleep the full English breakfast was really good. We would certainly stay again.

Today I took my two grandchildren to the farm for a day out. We went to the cafe for lunch which was dire. The ciabatta cheese and ham sandwich was dreadful. Bread so hard it could break your teeth, two small pieces of ham which I wasn’t sure if it was supposed to be bacon or cooked meat and the cheese was some kind of orange coloured melted mess that I’m not even sure was cheese! There was virtually nothing in the sandwich. The chicken goujons were dry and the coating burnt. The cappuccino was only lukewarm and bitter. It was awful and a very long wait for the food and the food is expensive. We won’t be going there again.
