Came to COYA for the iftar menu- the menu sounded varied but I wasn’t sure what to expect. After a day of fasting it really hit the spot- full of rich but refreshing flavors and a variety of dishes. The starters were especially tasty as well as the sea bass risotto dish.

We had the greatest experience at Coya on Saturday 8 March 2025. The food, our waiter David and the atmosphere were 5 ⭐️ We were let down (hence the 4* rating) by our experience at the bar. We left our table to have a drink in the bar. I asked the bartender if he could recommend any tequila, he mumbled a few words and picked up a bottle of ‘premium’ (£40 for a single shot). I selected a different one, however once served noticed they were bigger than a single, he had chosen to pour and charge us for doubles, not what I’d requested. He moved onto serving someone else and another man turned up pointing a card machine at us.

The service is HORRIBLE. One is the worst restaurants in London. I have been to several Coyas before. This is by far the worst on all fronts. Waiter kept dumping the dishes on the table without explaining or mentioning whose order is it. I notified him a couple of times and he still kept doing the same thing. Waited dl15 minutes for the wine and then told us we have to change because they are sold out They never served or refilled our wine glasses Poured sparkling and still water in the same glass so it ended with a mess that I didn’t drink my water without asking They asked us to order dessert without noticing that it was paid in the tasting menu!!! The weird manager kept rushing us inn an ugly manner and when we protested wondering if he wants to leave the table. He boldly said “yes…soon@ Never AGAIN.

For my birthday, my husband and I decided to explore a new cuisine. Although we had visited Peru previously, the food here was far more delicious than what we experienced there. The waitstaff was incredibly attentive, and every recommendation they made was fantastic. We ended up trying everything on the menu and even ordered extra dishes. The ceviche was absolutely amazing. I want to give a big shout-out to the kitchen team and the chefs. The food, atmosphere, and service were all exceptional.

Oh my word. What a great experience from entering to the canapés, the champagne is real champagne and the service is definitely a 10 in my eyes. We are now enjoying adj, saxophone player and dancers. We are also having a dance as are most of the other guests. Would definitely recommend this place, the food is great service great, entertainment gets you up off your feet. A 10 from me

Called in for dinner after a night at the Albert Hall. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, the sommelier advised me on a cracking Pinot Noir and overall the service was efficient and we didn’t feel rushed. Opted for the chefs menu, would recommend if it’s your first time as you get a great selection of everything on offer. Portions size are generous, taste is great, presentation spot on and little extras like making the guacamole at the table is a nice touch. The table was booked for 10pm so it wasn’t as buzzy but that’s no one’s fault, I would like to come back at a busier time as I hear good things.

An absolutely exceptional dining experience at COYA Mayfair! From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was electric—vibrant, stylish, and full of energy. Service was good and fast. Food way over priced, such as £17 for an assortment of roasted corn seeds (see pic). The guacamole was served in an oversized heavy stone with a small portion. The ceviche tasting for two also had very little for what you pay. Overall, they do a lot of window dressing with the food and place (it is an underground location with lots of decoration). I live in London, was my first time here, but would rather go elsewhere in the future.

A fantastic experience for our family of 7 people. Food was creative, very tasty and service was exceptional from Andre and Vinni. Andre made many helpful suggestions for our meal choices…Coya’s signature dish Arroz Nikkei is worthy of that claim…the sea bass was cooked to perfection and flavourful. Definitely a must have dish. The mixed cerviche selection was very interesting as it offered very varied flavours from mild to spicy; a good tasting choice. Half of our group had allergy issues so we were very happy to find lots of dishes that catered to dairy and gluten intolerance…a very inclusive experience for everyone. We will be back for sure!!

We are Incredibly Disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. We felt like we were being rushed throughout our entire evening meal to leave the table so they could place another customer there. No consideration for the fact that we were there to enjoy our evening. This is not what you expect when paying a large sum of money for a meal. At the end they practically aggressively told my colleagues to leave the table now. We sent numerous complaints via email to this company explaining our disappointing experience in detail and requesting our service charge back which in our opinion they did not deserve. We have had no response back from them whatsoever. I hadn’t realised that other customers had experienced this type of treatment until after we had this experience when reading the reviews. Coya appear to believe by ignoring a customer’s valid complaint that it will go away and it will be business as usual. Unfortunately that is not the case, this has left us with a very bad impression of this restaurant and how they treat customers who contact them after experiencing a bad service. The owner or owners of this establishment should be ashamed of themselves for being complicit in allowing this totally unacceptable treatment of customers. Companies like this are very short sighted. The most important thing in keeping a successful business going is their treatment of the paying customer. Who are in fact the ones who are key to keeping these business running. We will never return to this establishment again, nor will the many people we have shared our experience with.

Booked the valentines menu and we got rushed to eat our food. They took all the starters at the same time so by the time we went to the hot dishes they were already cold. Passion fruit pisco tasted only like limes and they prepared twice but flavour was not there. Their scallops dish was terrible, no flavour at all we didn’t even eat it. On top of that when we finished the meal and were having our cocktails we were rushed to leave the table and they told us we could finish at the bar, surprisingly the staff tried to take us to a terrace bearing in mind if was extremely cold. We refused and left, awful experience never coming back huge let down

Beautiful space. The food is excellent but the service is not good. The pumpkin soup is delicious. The salmon and meat are very good. The desserts, besides being beautiful, were excellent. But: The dishes were not served at the same time, forcing people to wait for the other dishes. The waiter goes in front of people to serve. You have to call them, they are not very attentive. Details that count in a restaurant of the quality of COYA. Teach manners! But it is worth going. The food deserves it!

Very disappointing. We got food menus and water straightaway but had to wait over 30 minutes (I checked my watch) for a drinks list while people around us were being served and placing more orders. We got the drinks list after asking for it twice in 10 minutes. Staff kept walking past the table without stopping to ask if we needed anything or wanted to place an order. At this point, we had been at our table for about 40 minutes. Some people at the table wanted cocktails, some wanted wine. The waiter took our food and cocktail order and then told us that the sommelier would be over. That took another 10 minutes. After waiting for so long to get an order in, I would have thought they would at least try to make a small effort and not make us wait too long to finish ordering. At the end of the evening, one of the waiters asked us if we wanted to see the dessert menu. We said yes. We never got the menus. We waited a while and then just gave up, paid, and left. My friends and I like going out for nice meals, and sometimes things don’t go quite according to plan. We’re not impatient people, especially if the food is good. I think that because we were polite and didn’t make a fuss, the staff just didn’t care. For this kind of restaurant and the prices, it’s really quite shocking. The food and cocktails were very good but not enough to make up for how bad the service was!

Went to Coya for my daughter’s 21st food was great , the favourite amongst our party of 6 was the crab tacos and beef skewers from the starters which we all shared and sea bass risotto from the main. The churros are also worth a mention. The price was similar to Hakkasan and the atmosphere was really good. A very good night all in all.

We had a great evening at this Peruvian restaurant! The service was really excellent - our waitress was extremely friendly, attentive and warm, which made the evening very pleasant. The main courses were also convincing: they tasted to a very high standard, which was to be expected given the prices. A highlight was definitely the DJ, who created a great atmosphere with a great selection of music. However, the audience was quite “yoster” in places, which may not be to everyone’s taste, but overall it wasn’t a problem. A small minus point, however, are the cocktails, which unfortunately were not convincing and were rather unspectacular - we would have expected more. All in all a successful evening! We give it 4 stars and can definitely recommend the restaurant. Is that correct now?

Fui a Coya en Mayfair por NYE, di mis pertenencias en el guardarropa y el personal logró “perder” mi bufanda Burberry. Me sorprendió la forma en que me trataron cuando les pregunté a los empleados en la recepción dónde estaba mi bufanda, los empleados fueron groseros y poco profesionales en la forma en que se comportaron. Di mi número, envié un correo electrónico pero nunca obtuve respuesta, parece que simplemente tienen mejor que hacer que cuidar de sus clientes - supongo que eso es lo que pasa cuando eres víctima de tu propio éxito, los estándares bajan... A pesar de tener una comida de descenso, también tuvimos que esperar una hora para nuestra mesa y el personal no nos dio ninguna perspectiva de cuándo nuestra mesa estaría lista, así que simplemente tuvimos que esperar en el bar... Decepcionante manera de comenzar el nuevo año, no voy a volver.

I went to Coya in Mayfair for NYE, gave my belongings at the cloakroom and the staff managed to “lose” my Burberry scarf. I was shocked at the way I was treated when asking employees at the reception where my scarf was, employees were rude and unprofessional in the way they conducted themselves. I gave my number, sent an email but never got a response, it seems they simply have better to do than taking care of their customers - I guess that’s what happens when you’re victim of your own success, standards drop… Despite having a descent meal, we did also have to wait an hour for our table and the staff gave us no outlook into when our table would be ready, so we simply just had to wait at the bar… Disappointing way to start the new year, I shan’t go back.

As seen on recent reviews, our party had a booking for 20:00 but were sat at 20:45. For a restaurant that is in Mayfair and charges the prices it does, the service should be above expected. Whilst waiting in the bar area, we were told the table would be ready in about 2 minutes, however it took another 25 minutes from that point. There is obviously an inherent issue here which doesn't ever get corrected, reading from.recent reviews. The waiter was perfect, however the bar stuff and reception (again noted on recent reviews) were unprofessional, not smiling not welcoming, unorganised. It is quite obvious an overhaul is required or extra training for reception and service staff. Unbelievable that no one has acted on this. I read reviews before attending Coya, thinking that other customers experience was a one off, but no, it was exactly as they said. We did however raise to the manager the issues in person, best way to approach the lack of service and professionalism. We will not be attending again, and Emma from the Coya team, I seriously hope you collate how many reviews on bad service there is recently and put together an action plan. Unfortunately I feel this will only get actioned once Coya Mayfair loses money, but with their current pricing it may be a while. I can only think that in time diners will know that there are other restaurants which are priced well and show better service and first impressions. Unbelievable for a post christmas dinner, for staff not to at least be honest on timeframes, and have no smiles on their faces. The security were more friendly, imagine that from a supposedly top class restaurant where each diner will spend a minimum of £100, our bill was £500 plus. A waste of time and money.

I was really disappointed, the restaurant was full of Italians who have nothing to do with Peruvian culture and don't care to learn it. The pretentious way bar manager spoke made me understand that all they want is for me to consume. I also noticed a lot of informality in the language for a restaurant in Mayfair. The hosts were focused on sharing gossip while speaking loudly in Italian, not even making the slightest effort to ask how your day was (not good for the salary that they are getting, not even close). They need to renew their staff because it seems like a mafia.

Outrageous service. Reservation at 23, they found us a table at 23.45. Every 5 minutes the staff kept telling us “in two minutess we’ll find a table for you. Because of this, they promised a discount on the bill that they never made. They even made us pay a round of drinks that they said they were “offering”. Portions were extremely small and taste wasn’t special. The waiter told us “one glass of wine won’t be enough for you.. take a bottle.”. Will never be back

A waiter brought us bill while we didn’t ask for it, and when we wanted to order more tea to finish the dessert, he refused to take it and said that we have to pay and leave as he needs this table. The hostesses at the desk where they take you to your seat were extremely rude and unprofessional. Even though we had pre booked they gave us a table at the bar and not the restaurant. After complaining they did not apologise and claimed our table had been given away. I then threatened to leave and suddenly a table was available. However when walking through the restaurant there was multiple tables available. The staff were not friendly and did not provide the experience for what you are paying. Extremely loud and unable to hear yourself talking let alone the company the you are with. At times we were very neglected by the waiters and had to keep asking multiple waiters for one thing. We sent some food back as it was not upto standard but the food was no where to be seen 15 minutes later and we already finished the rest. When asking for a condiment such as mayo the waiter said he can bring some chilli sauce not making us aware that this would cost £6 which is ridiculous for a little pot of sauce. Overall the meat was very nice however the whole experience started of negatively due to the hostesses attitudes and rudeness we will not be visiting again and would not recommend.

**Review for Coya Mayfair** I had high expectations for Coya Mayfair, but the experience was a complete letdown, largely due to the rude and unprofessional behavior of the staff. From the moment we arrived, the managers at the cloakroom and front desk downstairs made my wife and me feel rushed and unwelcome. Their attitude was condescending, and they treated us more like a nuisance than paying customers. Despite having made a reservation well in advance, we were forced to sit at the bar instead of the table we had booked. When we questioned this, we were told that our table had already been given to another couple. There was no apology or attempt to make things right until we complained. Suddenly, they "found" our original table and seated us there after all — a table they had just claimed was unavailable. The whole ordeal felt completely unnecessary and incredibly unprofessional. To add to the disappointment, the halal options on the menu were very limited. While the lamb chops were nice, they were absolutely not worth the £42 price tag. For a restaurant in Mayfair with such a reputation, you would expect much better service and value for money. Overall, the rude treatment and poor handling of our reservation ruined what should have been a pleasant evening. I wouldn’t recommend Coya Mayfair to anyone seeking good hospitality or a respectful dining experience. There are plenty of other places in London that offer better food, service, and value.

Been before and ordered from the a la carte menu, but their champagne and cocktails brunch? Phenomenal. DJ and performers were all stellar. But Maria? Maria who served us was incredible. So attentive, so kind. Can only hope when you go it will be her serving you. She is brilliant.

A very disappointing experience. The receptionist (thin lady) was extremely rude, lacked basic communication skills, and when I asked her to cancel my reservation because it was impossible for me to continue my evening at the restaurant, she handled it poorly.

I booked COYA Mayfair for my boyfriend’s birthday dinner, but it was a huge letdown. -Rude Staff & Rushed Service/ Poor Management: The staff had poor attitudes and constantly rushed us. For example, when we were barely halfway through the ceviche, the waiter tried to serve the main course. They seemed determined to make us finish the set menu as soon as possible, making the entire experience feel stressful. -Overpriced: Cocktails and appetizers were standard, but the mains were so salty that almost inedible. The tender stems were also burnt. -No Birthday Acknowledgment: Despite informing them, there were no greetings or gestures, which felt cold and dismissive. -Unpleasant Farewell: Staff didn’t say goodbye or even look at us when we left, including the front of house. The worst fine dining experiences I’ve had in Mayfair. Definitely overrated and not worth the hype.

I love Coya but my last visit left a sour taste in my mouth. We were a group of 4 we ordered the tasting menu just over £100 per person. After desert we asked for 2 espresso they REFUSED to serve us the requested espresso because we had just gone over the allocated 2 hour time allocation !! How long does it take to serve 2 espresso

Les vins sont horriblement chers pour la qualité et leur choix. Et c’est très très bruyant. Food was really fantastic, fresh and delicious. However, the overall experience was let down by the service. Had to ask for a cocktail menu (waiter didn't ask us what we wanted to drink!?). Drinks did not arrive until after all starters and ceviches were finished. Water not refilled. Never asked if we would like any additional drinks. Waiter didn't explain the menu to us, so left feeling hungry afterwards as we ordered 2 starters, 2 ceviches and shared main. Could have used some recommendations for how many dishes to order as everything was quite small. Request for birthday celebration at dessert was ignored in the reservation. Was really let down by all of it, except the food which could not be faulted. Topped off by the audacity to request additional tip after 15% service charge was already included.

Unfortunately, the staff at the bar were not welcoming and never smiled. The hostess was also not very welcoming. The only welcoming staff member was our waiter. Food was really nice and well presented. Great entertainment. Unfortunately with unwelcoming staff, we didn’t not get to enjoy drinks, even when we were paying for them after dinner. I will be in two minds to recommend Mayfair branch, i have not had a bad experience with city branch

We had a great meal here - really enjoyed it. HOWEVER Whilst the service was good and the staff very friendly service is added at 20% - you can to specify if you want this reduced to 15% which i still feel is very generous. You are then asked by the waiter whether you want to add additional service 'just for him' and suggested 15%. I have been 3 times, the same process each time which is very awkward to decline especially so with clients.

Fabulous place. Beautiful unique style. Service was amazing friendly, engaging, making you feel like you had your own stunning cocktail bar with attentive cocktail waitress in your own home after returning from work. The food was authentic, distinctive and delicious. The wagyu fillet, the best I have ever tasted. Loved the evening I spent there.

Excellent host, excellent service, ceviche seabass was chunky bland soaked in water, grilled sea bream was too salty and somehow soaked up in oil, lobster dumpling were too salty and watery, beef tataki was tasteless, no dessert as we didn’t want to risk it, wine list was too long and very pricey, cocktails were acceptable.

I love trying out all the high end restaurants and I’m almost always left feeling extremely underwhelmed as they’re generally high priced and low quality or tiny portions, however this is truly the first time I’ve been absolutely blown away by the food, service, atmosphere and just everything to do with this place. I only eat halal and no alcohol they were very accommodating and just really really tasty food.

Disfrutable hasta cierto punto, pero muy fuerte y difícil de hablar sin gritar! Mesas muy juntas. Menú limitado y no llevaba información calórica. Intentamos obtener esto a través de la aplicación en el menú, pero no pudimos obtener señal y estaba demasiado oscuro para leer de todos modos! Sin embargo, el problema principal es que se nos pidió que desalojáramos nuestra mesa en 90 minutos en lugar de 2 horas según la reserva. El personal nos encontró una mesa alternativa para tomar un café (que tenía una mesa extremadamente alta detrás de nosotros), pero nos sentimos innecesariamente apresurados y ambos habíamos viajado a Londres para reunirse. Mencionamos nuestra infelicidad por tener que mudarnos antes de que pasaran 2 horas, pero nos dijeron que estaban ocupados y ‘haciendo su trabajo’. 1 . 5 horas era todo lo que podían permitir. Si ese es el caso, por favor deje esto claro a los clientes cuando reserven. Necesitábamos más tiempo y habríamos elegido otro lugar si hubiéramos sabido que estábamos por debajo de un límite de tiempo tan corto.
