Court Hill Centre in Vale of White Horse

A lovely place to call in and have anything from a drink to a lunch time meal, they even do dog ice cream and chews so dogs are welcome if on a lead. Lots of walking in the countryside.the views are lovely. It's not a hotel but they do rooms I think.

Well worth a visit! Google lists this as a hotel, it used to be a youth hostel but don't think it is now. Great place for lunch or a snack.

There was no service. No food. Just closed without explanation or warning. It does not take much effort to update the answering machine which informed us they were open every day from 10.30. Well, they were not open last Thursday. A group of us had travelled some distance to meet here. And we were greeted by most unwelcoming no entry signs. I don’t know why I’ve given service a star because there was none.

Me and a friend hammock camped the ridgeway a couple weeks ago and stayed one night here. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and allowed us to camp in the woods behind the hostel. Views were breathtaking and the facilities were just what we needed after a long days walk. The fact that dominos delivered to the centre was the cherry on top! Shame we couldn’t stay longer the next morning to have a bite to eat in their cafe! Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone walking the ridgeway or just looking for a countryside getaway.

Wonderful cafe with excellent staff and fair prices, awesome cakes. Views are absolutely stunning. Very much recommend to anyone to stop by.

Great place for tea and home made cakes

The shaded seating in middle of the square of single-storey accommodation is the perfect place to spend a summer's afternoon, eating delicious cake and watching the swallows to and from from to their nests. Best close-up views of swallows on the wing or perching on the roof. Can there be a better place for photographing them? I think not. Found it by recommendation at an RSPB lecture: now a firm favourite.

Late delivery of some of our group's food order delayed our onwards travel. This was compounded by a another group that rudely pushed in amongst ours to start their own order.

Absolutely brilliant and beautiful place to visit. If you are out walking, running or cycling, just when you are low on energy there drinks and food pick you right back up. The owners and staff are so nice and helpful. A must visit.

Stopped over in the hostel while walking The Ridgeway. Very charming hostel set around a courtyard with a lovely big dining room (café in the day) and well equipped kitchen. I had no food but the host sold me enough bits to make a meal and prepared me a packed lunch for the next day. Basic bed situation, but just what I'd expect from a walkers hostel. It's a short walk from the West side of the path along a grassy bank, or there's a path which links to the Easterly direction just opposite the hostel road. Half an hour's walk down through the fields to the pub at Letcombe Regis. Would recommend!

Can't comment on rooms as we didn't stay but lovely cakes and coffee.

Lovely place with friendly staff, good quality food served in the tearoom and lovely views of Thames Valley area.

How have I never been here before???? I live 5 minutes away and always on the to-do list . Today my mum took me for lunch , their boiler had broken and they explained waiting for a new one but will cost 20k !!!! I've just had major surgery, and I thoroughly enjoyed it here, even tho I was a little cold . The food made up for it ! I had the scampi, and mum had Brussels sprout soup, which In her words was amazing(I'll take your word for that mum) If i had 20k, I would have instantly given it to them as I see firsthand what an amazing educational place this is for families and schools . And the views wow, just wow .

My Mum and I have been having a enjoyable lunch here for the last 18 months we love it . Ladies lovely and very helpful with small portions for Mum who is 90 and unable to walk far . We live watching the 🐦 🐦‍⬛ feeding. Tranquil and peaceful to sit in the garden 😌 thank you xx

Camped here whilst cycling King Alfred’s Way. Very convenient location! We arrived quite late ~8:30pm yet the host still gave us a great warm welcome and showed us the facilities with no rush. Views from the pitch were fantastic & can order takeout to the site. Stayed in morning to make use of the on-site cafe. Beautiful surroundings. Thanks a million!

Cycled part of the Ridgeway and called in for lunch Pleasant cafe with good views. Served quickly, food freshly cooked for us and served in a reasonable time. Prices good.

When I was a child this was the local municipal tip. Hadn't visited the site for a number of years and was saddened to see how run down it has become. They really need to get rid of the old scrap car and other detritus before things go full circle.

Really really cozy space for a cup of tea or a coffee and a slice of cake. Perfect place to stop off while walking the ridgeway, beautiful area and very lovely staff… felt like an adventurer having a pit stop and refilling HP, very misty and atmospheric with the misty woods surrounding. Honestly one of the loos looked a bit like my first year university accommodation which was a bit weird - don’t know whether that speaks to the quality of the loo or the bad quality of my accommodation. Nevertheless, a really lovely place.

Nice staff. Foods good. Great location if you like a hike or a off road ride. You can get strate on the oxfordshire ridgeway above wantage.
