This is definitely the best place to eat in Westward Ho ! Amazing carvery with lots of lovely fresh vegetables. Good choice of other meals on the menu and a very impressive dessert trolly. Good service, clean, comfortable and very friendly.

Went for dinner which was ok, Place is very old fashioned, but staff were nice - food was ok at best. Frozen, overcooked vegetables. I was concerned not to see a hygiene certificate rating displayed. Most restaurants display it in their window. Checked when home and they have a current 1 star rating!! I thought they had to display the rating?

Went here a couple of times when I was on holiday in the area. Not open Mondays or Tuesdays. Nice pint of Golden Pig beer but perhaps a bit pricey at £5.40 but thats life now. This place is mainly a carvery restaurant but there are plenty of other options on the menu although I reckon most go for the carvery. I would have said that the average age of the clientele is 50 plus. Good choice of meats which they carve for you. You then help yourself to veg and plenty of variety there. You put your plate on a tray and the staff insist on carrying this back to your table. So perhaps they think you look a bit doddery !! Carvery price £15.75 in the evening. Impressive sweet trolley with loads of choice but I didnt sample this. Clean and tidy premises, toilets OK and the site is close to the sea at the end of the street. I would recommend this place. Staff do warn customers that the place is very busy all day Sundays so I suggest you book in advance.

Very old fashioned place, specialising in roasts and a dessert trolley, this reflects the age of the clientele. Food was very good and plentiful , but choice was somewhat limited if you are not into roasts!

Had a carvery for 6 wasnt up to standard no mashed potatoes just very basic staff were very attentive just so disappointed in food

Proper old fashioned restaurant, no unnecessary bits that cost you more but are not needed. (Half a lettuce with sauce squeezed over it springs to mind, who needs that.) Good honest food carvery had 3 meats on and loads of veg to choose from. Carrots, peas, cabbage, cauliflower cheese, parsnips, green beans, ratatouille, potatoes, yorkies and other stuff I've forgotten. The rest of the menu is good too, simple and unfussy. The food is well prepared and we both enjoyed our meals. The highlight was the staff though they were all very friendly and very welcoming. They treated everyone like an old friend and that made the whole atmosphere relaxed and friendly. Dogs were allowed in too provided they are well behaved and settled down out of the way.

We came here for dinner whilst we were staying in westward Ho for a holiday. We loved the food, and the atmosphere so much we booked a table for the next night before we left. The first evening we visited we had a carvery which was gorgeous. We all enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly and wanted to help make your visit enjoyable. The second night dad had the card salad which was lovely and the rest of the party had hunters chicken and burgers. The food was cooked so well. We also had starters too x

Whilst on holiday in Westward Ho! we had lunch at Country Cousins restaurant. The meal was excellent, with fresh produce and cooked well. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and experience. The service from our waitresses, Yaz and Eden, was first-rate. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting this lovely seaside resort.

Carvery Sunday lunch was excellent - never seen a carvery with so many vegetable dishes - obviously the meat was good too! Hot, fresh and tasty. The young lady attending to us was a credit to the business - friendly and professional.

The restaurant was busy (father‘s day) but the carvery arrangement worked well - just 5 min queuing for service. The carvery offered roast turkey, beef and pork (you could have all three), including all the trimmings and sauces you could imagine. We particularly appreciated the excellent (huge) choice of different vegetables and potato offerings, where you could help yourself to a tailor-made meal of your preferred choosing. Food all tasted great and price was also very reasonable at £15.95 pp (with no need for starters or desserts) making a very reasonable Sunday lunch

Recently moved to the area and first visited this delightful place with my daughter a month ago. Returned this evening with my parents to celebrate Fathers day. So impressed with the whole experience. Fantastic carvery (3 meats on offer) with a huge and varied choice of potatoes and veg. The staff are so friendly and helpful, even offering to carry your plate to your table. First rate service! Such a lovely atmosphere, relaxed but professionally run. The sweet trolley is not to be missed, with an amazing array of mouth watering desserts. So pleased this is on my doorstep. Highly recommend it.

Visited this restaurant for Sun carvery lunch last week with family and it was excellent. A choice of 3 meats served with a large selection of vegetables all piping hot and the tray was then carried to the table by helpful waitresses. The sweet trolley is a unique feature here and there was a large selection of delicious desserts. The staff were very friendly and efficient and I would highly recommend a visit.

Visited here for a Sunday lunch and Carvery was good, lots of veg choices plenty of meat given! Staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The biggest quirk that I had never seen before was the dessert trolley which I’m told is from the old days so nice to have a little insight on how pubs used to serve. Keep up the good work guys and if I’m ever in the area again, I would definitely book.

Went here twice in October when I was on holiday in the area. I went for the carvery at £14.50 which a lot of customers seem to go for. A choice of meats which are carved for you and then help yourself to veg etc. Beef on the carvery one night was a bit tough but thats how it can be with big joints. Nice pint of Golden Pig beer at £5.10 The staff insist on carrying your plate back to the table so perhaps they dont want a dropped mess on the carpet or they think their customers are a bit doddery ! Quite an impressive sweet trolley is brought round like they used to in the old days in restaurants. I didnt have any so cant vouch for what was on offer. Clean and tidy place and decent toilets. Note this place is not open Mondays or Tuesdays. I would recommend this place

Came across Country cousins tonight having walked along Westward Ho. The reception we received was wonderful and the food was fantastic. All the staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. They also have a dessert trolley which is amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant.

have called in numerous times on the off chance and have been met with very welcoming staff. the carvery is incredibly good with a good choice of meats and fresh vegetables, the roast potatoes are gorgeous. all of the staff are very attentive and the service is always spot on. sweets are on a sweet trolley, a traditional touch that is rarely seen but something I love.

This was our first visit to Country Cousins in Westward Ho and we were very impressed. We were given a very friendly welcome and taken to our Table by a waitress who made us feel at home, took our Drinks order and gave us the menu to peruse. We both decided on the Carvery, and what a good choice that was- Beef, Turkey and Gammon, a choice of potatoes, so many varieties of vegetables, stuffing, Yorkshires and Gravy. Everything was beautifully presented and of a high standard. Sadly we did not have room for any Dessert although they looked delicious. We will return when next in the area.

Called to book for Sunday lunch late Saturday afternoon to find fully booked until 2.30pm. So it was a late lunch but worth waiting for. Well presented carvery, 3 choices of meat and all the vegetables were hot and freshly cooked. Great choice of desserts. The waiting staff were all very polite and helpful. Would certainly recommend and it was dog friendly.

My wife and I recently spent four days in Westward Ho! with family and visited this lovely restaurant three times during our stay, having a carvery two of the nights and a breakfast on one of the mornings. This place is faultless. The food is amazing, and homemade, and the staff are very friendly, attentive and you can tell they are a close knit team of locals who genuinely care about making your visit pleasurable and the very best meal experience you can possibly have, with service over and above what you can usually expect in this day and age. As well as the carvery, (which I assure you will be the nicest carvery you will ever have) they have a full à la carte and table d'hôte menus, a good old fashioned sweet trolley and a selection of hot classic British puds to choose from and smother with custard. There is nothing negative to say about this place at all. Highly recomnended by me to anybody visiting the area. Make sure this place is top of the list when you are in town. It certainly will be top of mine next time I am. Thank you everyone. You are doing a great job. Just In case you’re wondering I’m the guy with the beard in the awesome hat and the awesome boots.

What a fantastic,well run buisness. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the food is brilliant. In todays world of fancy food this shows you that you can run a successful buisness without re inventing the wheel.
