the couple who run the cottage cannot do enough for you - they are so friendly and helpful - been going there for years after trying so many places close to Tatton Park for the RHS flower show - been dismayed by many, so called 'top class' places = then we found the cottage - fab place, very clean, everything you need, breakfast fab, and, as i mentioned at the start, the couple who run it are so nice, friendly and helpful - will deffo be going back - many times hopefully - I need to add after looking at questions below, this a b&b not a restaurant so my answers below are just so I can put a post on here as to how good this place is :)

Graham, Louise and Neil were great hosts, and couldn't do enough for us, in particular helping us when putting together the flowers for our wedding. Rooms are spacious and modern and has a great rec room with darts & ping pong. If you're getting hitched at the Oak tree of Peover it's a ten minute drive away. We booked out all the rooms with our wedding party which made it a nice private family event. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Cottage for a couple of nights for my daughter’s wedding at the Oak Tree. Graham and Louise were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them, offering lifts and helping with taxis. The full English breakfast was fabulous and the evening food was excellent with a good choice of home cooked meals. The rooms were comfortable, spacious and immaculately clean, with tea/coffee and treats. We loved the place and hope to go back sometime for another special break.

We stayed at this fab lodge for 2 nights as it was near to the venue of our friends wedding. Really easy to find and access. What a gorgeous place! The staff and owners were nothing but warm and friendly with witty banter. The rooms were really spacious and the beds were super king size and super comfy! We had one of the best cooked breakfasts in a long time that contained high quality produce, no doubt locally sourced. We would highly recommend this place for a stay and it's certainly more of up market lodge than a standard b&b. Excellent!

We stayed at this B & B and on our first night used the restaurant. The menu was sparse but what we chose was expertly prepared, cooked, served on hot plates and was delicious. I couldn't fault the meal. We would defiantly use this restaurant again when staying in the area.

We arrived a bit late in the evening, and the thought of driving back to Knutsford was not as appealing as having a pint and dinner in the hotel pub. I think we made the right choice. While there may be fine eating establishments along the road to Knutsford, the food at The Cottage was freshly prepared and quite tasty. We each had an entree and a pint of ale for a reasonable charge of £26.

I was staying at the Cottage and decided to eat there too - the food was excellent! Well cooked, well seasoned, well presented and gone in what was probably less time than it took to prepare!

We used this as a cycle destination for a weekend away. We arrived in the dark and the rain but soon had our bikes safely stored, and welcomed into the cosy interior. The room was large, warm and clean with tea and coffee. The big bed and big bath were a welcome sight after a long ride. Dinner was very tasty and good portions. The Landlord and Landlady were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I even had to borrow an I phone charger which I had forgotten to pack.

The dinner was really lovely the evening we arrived. Service was friendly and first class. For starters we had carrot and coriander soup with a hot roll, and house pate with salad and toast. We both really enjoyed. For main I had the cottage burger and my girlfriend had the roast chicken. As you can see in the pictures, they both looked fab! There is a bar and we both had our favourite alcoholic beverage with our meal! Couldn't fault the service and tables were very clean and presentable. We also had a fab breakfast in the morning, cereals for starter and a full fry up! We both enjoyed our breakfast and have to highlight that the owners were very hospitable and sociable. Thank you to my daughter for booking this lovely stay and the owners for welcoming us both.

I am staying at BW for work and booked dinner at Hilltops on my first night. I was initially nervous that there didn't appear to be anything suitable for vegans on the menu, but I double checked with the receptionist, who was very helpful and communicated my request to the restaurant. This was a short-notice request, so I was not expecting much, but the chefs went above and beyond. The tofu & veg curry was really tasty, and the choc fudge cake was delicious. I couldn't eat it all in one sitting, but the team prepared the leftovers for me to take to my room and eat later. Thank you to the talented kitchen team and wonderful front of house team at Hilltops!

We were visiting the Anderton Boat Lift which is just 10 minutes down the towpath from The Moorings. As the coffee shop there was quite full after the boat trip we decided to try somewhere else close by. The Moorings is a little gem of a place, run by chefs, so expect hotel like presentation of excellent food, which is worth waiting for. This is a totally different dining experience from the usual canal side cafe. Dogs are allowed inside on the hard floor area, but we sat outside with ours as it was a beautiful day and we could admire the canal boats in the marina.
