Una de las peores experiencias de Côte! ¡Jarra de vino diluida! Comida tibia, servicio lento! ¡No es lo que esperaba de Cote! ¡Muy decepcionado!

¡Preciosa cena!

We have eaten at Cote Brasserie in Teddington many times over the last few years and has always been very good , however the standard of service seems to have slipped badly . Last night the service was unacceptably slow from waiting to have our orders taken and long waits between each course ( service was also slow the last time we visited ).I don't think its the fault of the waiting staff , as they were working very hard , I get the feeling that company is making savings on the number of staff they employ , which will eventually damage the brands good reputation in the long run.

A bit disappointing that they waited for starters to finish first. Main course went in their order queue after the starters. I would have understood that if we were a couple and having a romantic time but a family with small kids would like a quick service! This restaurant’s branch is in the family area of Teddington so I would have thought that they are used to catering for children and families. I would have expected them to ask at least if we wanted to have our main sooner than 40 min plus waiting after the starters. Overall the food was average and the service was somewhat slow. I wouldn’t rush back!

Went to Cote for dinner this week with some friends and had a wonderful time. The restaurant had a great buzz. The food was lovely, the drinks were great and the service provided by our waiter was top notch - very efficient and friendly. Would definitely recommend a visit. I ordered the asparagus to start, then the confit port belly for main, followed by the Paris brest for dessert. All food was delicious and served promptly by a very efficient, polite and smiley waitress. We were neither rushed nor left waiting unduly. As always a thoroughly enjoyable experience at Cote. We will be back soon.

I used to like the Cote chain restaurants but my visit to this one left me very underwhelmed due to the poor quality of the food served. The prix fixe menu had whitebait which was lacking the usual crispness. The mains of steak frites had chips which were very good but a tasteless thin steak. Staff are friendly although the whole place lacks any sense of professionalism. In this attractive busy town there is such a wealth of competition Cote will need to up it's game here.

Such a wonderful surprise, the sun was shining I had been to several meetings and I saw Cote, I remembered their vegan burger was special, chef uses the brioche bread with caramelized onions, pickles, lettuce, tomato, a light touch of mayo, its such a delight, and I am really fond on their side salad and vinaigrette. I was greeted by an amazing waitress, with a huge smile, who was incredibly passionate and driven about Cote and the food on the menu today, I would of liked to have stayed longer, the food, hospitality and passion for food, was truly inspirational. I highly recommend this Cote for all of the aforementioned, if you are met with the same smile you will not be disappointed.

Service was so slow, ordered drinks and waited ten minutes before complaining. Very busy and a further 10 mins for my minute steak fries and my partner's pork belly. Both looking minimalist, sad and lonely on the otherwise empty plate while i pondered sadly on the upcoming thirty quid bill. A couple of days earlier i went for an indifferent Full English. One sausage and the tiniest capful of beans just made me imagine a FEB designed by an accountant rather than a chef. Just mean, mean, mean. I expected more. Would it really break the bank to be a bit more generous with the portions and hire an extra waiter on Sundays? Nice ambiance here but i will go the local greasy spoon next time for a proper fry up at half the price.

It's amazing how different restaurants of the same chain can be. Earlier this year we visited Cote near Tower Bridge and it was excellent. This month, my wife and I, and two relatives had dinner in the Teddington Cote. NOT so good! Our first problem was that, having been given the menu to peruse, we thought long and hard about what we wanted then placed our order (two for a chicken dish, two for a duck dish), then sat back to await the arrival of our food. Then the waitress return to inform us that there was no chicken and no duck. Shouldn't we have been told that before we ordered?! So, two of us went for fillet steak, one for Beef Bourgignon, and one for mussels, both of which turned out to be good. In contrast, the steaks were tough and stringy, and not much of it was eaten. To summarise .. poor information on what was available, and questionable quality on what was delivered.

After studying the menu and the server started taking the order, she then decided to tell us that they had no chicken or duck which was what the 4 of us wanted. After a re-think one had mussels, one had beef casserole, both excellent. The other two had fillet steak and I quote from the menu "Most tender of cuts" Not so. Neither of us could cut it and despite asking for medium, it was definitely more rare than we like. The triple pudding dish was a delight though. There was no apology about the steak so two of us paid almost £30 each for something quite inedible. That is a lot of money for some chips and a bit of greenery!

Cote is one of our favs, and unfortunately after years of coming to the Teddington Branch. The service was absolutely pathetic - we were a part 10 and it took ages to do anything from bringing us water, taking our drinks order, starters order and mains. Once the order was taken....when they arrived at the table 4 dishes were incorrect, when asked what was happening we were told that's what we ordered. Ummmm no it wasn't. The manager continued to tell us about the order and what we wanted was what we ordered. After discussion, we had to wait a further 20 mins for the missing parts of our order. A real shame and especially as we were there for my 9 year old niece's birthday dinner. And I would like to point out it's her favourite restaurant. A real shame and they seriously have to sort out their staff as the food is great, well when they get the orders right.

We are regulars and decided to try their Sunday sharing roast. The good: the chicken was great. Succulent and tasty. The dauphinois side with bacon and cheese was also very nice. The bad: the steak was chewy and cold, as were the sauces. The pork belly portion was mean, the veggie side was tiny. Not even enough for one person. The odd: we had to ask for plates as if we were expected to both eat directly off the small serving wood block. We got side plates which were too small. In summary, not something we will be having again. It felt a bit expensive for what we got. If everything was hot and the portions a little larger, it would have been fine.

Food was also very good. 2 had 3 courses, 3 had 2 courses. The asparagus was a bit woody, but the poached egg was perfectly cooked. The other starters of whitebait and pork terrine looked great and were plentiful. The mains of steak frite, sea bass and poulet grille were all wolfed down and plates cleaned. This was my late mother's favourite eatery for the last couple of years. I have had several lunches here over the last year. It presents an opportunity to enjoy quite fine dining in a pleasant environment at a very reasonable cost. Several of the family went for lunch last Tuesday and most of us went for the two courses for around £12 - which is better than a lot of local pubs! You can choose from that menu or the slightly pricier two courses for around £16. If you want to push the boat out, there is also a comprehensive a la carte menu, so something for every budget! On this occasion the very pleasant waitress neglected to confirm our order, consequently I was left waiting for my starter. As soon as we realised, the manageress sorted it out very quickly and was profusely apologetic.

We have been here many times over the last 4 years, and tonight was not a great one sadly. Went for an early valentines dinner with my husband as he is working Friday, and you could tell from the minute you walked in that something wasn’t right. The staff didn’t really seem to know what they were doing, tables were left uncleared for a while and the manager was running around trying to sort everything. The table we sat next to said they had been waiting 10 mins for a bill when we arrived. (And there was only 8 tables sat at this point in the whole restaurant)We waited 15 mins after sitting down for someone to serve us and in the end the manager (who was covering from another store and was the only amazing thing from tonight’s experience) came over and apologised and took our order. The waitress that was meant to be serving us never appeared till a hr later when we were ordering desserts (and she then put the wrong desserts through the system). The food is normally amazing here but sadly tonight the carrots were like bricks and the duck main was very cold by time it arrived at the table. I am gutted I forgot to ask the manager his name as he was from the Wimbledon Village store, but he literally saved the night for us and clearly is an amazing manager. Will be visiting the Wimbledon Village one in the future I think.

Wow. Very impressed indeed. My baby girl was delighted. Thank you.

Located in the heart of the main road in Teddington, Cote is among many breakfast/lunch/dinner options. We had explored the area previously and it was difficult to narrow down our choices. We made a very good choice. Starting with bread and olives, we each had the set menu. My colleague and I the 2-course set and my other colleague the 3-course set, which included dessert. The pace was a little slow for our preference. Yet, that is the typical British lunch. Especially around the holiday. Our bad for not having more time. The service was lovely and everyone enjoyed their meal. The 2-course set was more then enough. The 2 and 3 course set menu, regular or prestige, offer many options. And there is always the ala carte. Ample vegetarian options, too. They did have a location in Richmond, too, so if that works better then Teddington, I am sure it will be equally delightful.

We had the early evening set menu. There are two on either side of a paper menu. A cheaper, but by no means less quality, which we chose, or the Prestige menu about £4 dearer. The food was all delivered quickly and professionally and was delicious and plentiful, though the beef with pastry main was a tad short of beef. £3.35 for an extra side dish of a small individual portion of french beans was probably a bit harsh. We were impressed by the ambience and quality of service, very friendly and helpful. A crowded restaurant in early evening is always a good sign. I was wary of the young staff present, but they were 100% efficient and professional. Overall this was a great introduction for us, especially as we had a longish journey afterwards and needed swift service. Point of note, be aware that a 12.5% discretionary service charge is added to the bill in case you tip twice. Definitely be returning.

We eat at Cote Teddington from time to time and usually find it pleasant. But on 26/8 we had a very disappointing meal. I chose from the 'prestige' special menu, Poulet Grille and a peach crumble and ice cream. The chicken was really quite dry and I suspect was cooked previously and micro-waved as it arrived quicker than it could have been freshly grilled. The crumble was of tinned peaches with hardly any topping at all. The restaurant was not busy and service although speedy was bit un-attentive as I had to get up twice to ask for things I needed. We weren't asked how our meal was or I would have politely told them, so we paid and left. It really was expensive pub-grub at best. Vary disappointing.

We ate at here as staying in Teddington overnight. For a Monday evening it was extremely busy. We had a nice table for 2 by the window. The Manager did explain on arrival that they had less staff than usual and it was a busy night but he would send someone over as quickly as possible. We did not have to wait long for our order to be taken and received our water and drinks with no delay. Both our starter and main courses were really good and very flavoursome and we did not experience any delays. All the waiting staff were friendly and attentive even though they were very busy and running around everywhere. This was a very well run Cote and the Manager and staff deserve credit for such good service. Great menu choice and good value with the 2 course special menu.

Popped in for an early meal (5pm) on a gorgeous day. The front of the restaurant was open and we had a table in the 'open' window. Opted for the set menu which was great value at £11 for 2 courses. Had smoked mackerel and poached egg to start which was tasty and then the ubiquitous Steak Frites which has to be the standard by which all brasseries are judged. I was pleasantly surprised. A very eatable dish especially at the price! The Breton tomatoes and goat cheese starter also got a big thumbs up. A good choice of early evening meal.

Every time We visit this restaurant it’s so hot it makes the experience unpleasant. When you ask the staff to turn the air Con on they are reluctant as they’re worried about complaints even though they are all red and sweaty themselves??

Vowed never to eat here again after a visit with my elderly frail mother who has problems with her hearing. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy but the manageress made her annoyance very clear when we simply tried to find a table against a wall to enable my mother to be able to hear and join in the conversation. From that point onwards she was “off” with us. The manageress could do with learning some customer service skills for the less able clientele. I’m sorry to be writing this because this is otherwise a good restaurant and I enjoy the food here.

In need of a quick supper. The steak was tough the service was pretty awful. It’s Hampton court flower show and Wimbledon and just not enough staff and support. I did complain and the manager did kindly give me a voucher for my next visit. I’m not sure I will be taking it up though. Not a good experience.

The food here is really rather good bearing in mind it's a chain restaurant. The quality is good and you can tell that care has been taken to ensure it tastes nice. Unfortunately, there are two pieces to the puzzle that is a restaurant and the other (the service) is unbelievably bad. The food sits waiting to be collected, the staff consistently forget requests and get things wrong. I know it's not an easy job to be waiting staff but that is one of the key reasons people come out to eat (to be waited on).

Came with 2 friends for breakfast. Food was good and good value for money. HOWEVER there were kids running around screaming. It is not a god damn playground, if they want to play go to a park. When we asked the waitress to ask the family to stop the children running around her reply was " nothing we can do ". Disappointing !

Decided to have a Easter walk from Teddington to Kingston and back, starting with breakfast at Cote Brasserie. I am a regular for Dinner and Lunch in other Cote restaurants, this was the first time for Breakfast. Very enjoyable start to the day before our walk. A wide selection of hot and cold breakfast choices and drinks , we went for the Formule breakfast with a few extra items on our plates. The same standard of service expected from Cote was delivered , very enjoyable expereince. It is free parking around Teddington and the walk is 45/60 mintues each way, very enjoyable day, already planning to do it again with freinds.

We’ve been several times to this particular Cote as we live locally. Each time we have had a lovely meal. We went last night and received efficient friendly service from Daliana. The food was excellent. I had the fish stew which was tasty and flavoursome. Their 2 course menu before 7pm which my husband and son had is very good value for money. Great for a casual dining experience but with that feel of France.

Woke up and decided to have a Saturday morning breakfast at Cote. Found the Formule breakfast that gives you a choice of juice, cooked breakfast and a hot drink all for a fixed price. Great value for money, great service and great food.

Possibly the worst cooked breakfast we’ve ever attempted to eat . The service was polite and no problems there but the food was simply awful . Processed ham , a pale fried egg and some frozen chips . Indelible and the little I ate repeated on me all day , my daughter felt quite unwell after attempting to eat the full English - managed 1 sausage toast and a few beans . Go over the bridge and there are some beautiful cafes instead.

We went here as a family on a Sunday for lunch, the 4 of us ate in the bar ordered at the bar and were shocked to find we were charged 10% service charge for eating in the bar, which is separate from the restaurant, apart from bringing our food to our table I don’t know why we were charged this service charge for as we did not receive table service. The roast dinner we ordered at £21 each for myself and my partner was exactly the same size portion as my sons child’s roast that cost £8.50, when we complained to the manager we were told ‘to order a kids portion next time to save some money’, lovely customer relations, we were told that this is a chain. The place is always empty now we see why, the service is shocking, there are flies everywhere. We will not be returning to this profiteering extortionate bar again.

A lovely venue. Friendly and helpful staff. We only went in for a drink but next time will have a meal. Food looked good and judging by the amount of people in the restaurant it is a popular venue.

We have enjoyed eating here in the past but on this occasion it was a definite deux points. When you pay nearly £50 for two small plates of fish and chips and two pints of cider you expect it to be better than the fish and chips at Morrisons. Instead the fish was dry and clearly not restaurant quality while the chips were indifferent at best. If I’d paid £8 in a cafe I would have been disappointed but in a “bistro” pub that pretends to be a Belgian style restaurant it feels like yet another eating establishment that has lost its way.
