Cote Brasserie - Richmond in Richmond upon Thames

The staff at the Richmond restaurant are awesome, I visit 2-3 times per week with my disabled brother and they go out of their way for us.

Richmond cote is fab! Gorgeously unpretentious food with great staff

It was my partner's 60th birthday, so I decided to treat him to lunch. Martyna our waitress and Veli the manager made a big fuss of us and we were given a complimentary chocolate mousse plus a glass of cremant and a non alcohol alternative for my partner who was driving. We ordered from prix fixed menu. I had bacon and poached egg salad, which was superb and my partner had whitebait, which was plentiful and crisp. We both had steak frites, which were cooked perfectly. A fabulous lunch.

Very poor in Richmond, walked in told short staffed Monday night six people in the restaurant wouldn’t serve us. Poor.

Had a lovely meal here during a recent trip to Richmond. The staff were fantastic, especially Rochelle & Beatriz, who went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after during our visit! The food was amazing and there was a great atmosphere! Would 100% recommend!

Avoid the Cote burger. The burger patty was like a brick and to be honest I couldn't tell if the off taste was the french style cheese or the quality of the beef. At no point did anyone ask how the food was. Disappointing!! Staff where nice enough but honestly its put me off using this chain again.

Nos dieron una cálida bienvenida a pesar de llegar una hora tarde debido a un accidente en la autopista. El fajo de comida del alto nivel habitual y el servicio era rápido. Visitamos Cotes debido a la amplia carta sin gluten. El pastel de pescado era especialmente bueno.

Booked a table at Cote to celebrate my sister's birthday. We were shown to our table as soon as we arrived and our drink orders where taken shortly after. The menu has so many different options for all dietary requirements and they are all fairly priced. Cote is well known for it's steak so most people went for that. Every steak came out perfectly cooked to the different requests. I had the French onion soup which is always amazing. The staff are what really make this place great, so welcoming and kind. Our servers Daisy and Beatrice were so attentive, always making sure that we had full glass and enjoying our experience. A lovely atmosphere and I can't wait to come back.

Went for Sunday brunch it was very busy even when we got there at 11:20 only one staff at that time but she serviced us and everyone else in a polite calm professional manner, other staff came in and helped to ease the pressure. Food was lovely definitely comeback.

We chose from the fixed price menu. The food was excellent and good value for money.

Great food. Had visited a few times. We had also reserved it for a small post wedding ceremony meal with the family. The restaurant staff congratulated us and also added a little surprise to our dessert (per photo).

Rochelle was absolutely lovely and attentive. The whole team were great too. Perfect.

Quite honestly one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. Steak. 25 quid. Turned up cold, fatty with a cold, circular butter portion on top. Disgraceful really. Won’t be back in a hurry. 25 quid. Seriously?

We visited on 19th Nov 2024. The stuff were kind and caring. And we got 12 gbp discount as we were patient when they moved us from a table to another. It was such a king gesture. Thanks to the manager of that shift

Nice restaurant in Richmond. We went for fixed menu which is about £22 for 3 meals, thats really good option. Nice wine and pleasant atmosphere.

I wish to express my disappointment in Cotes menu and quality of food on there A La Carte menu. I have always thought Cotes was good value for money and fine French cuisine. But not this time. I ordered the salmon with French fries of which this came overcooked and the portion of fries was only about 10 fries in total. They also give yoy side orders now in very tiny dishes. Charging £18+ ahead for this is not acceptable. My husband had the burger and fries and to be honest MacDonalds would of been better. Sorry Cotes will not be dining with you anymore. The service was nice and they did give me another portion of fries but you still only give tiny portions for extreme prices. In this economic climate people are still trying to support hospitality but not at cheap expense.

Breakfast treat great start. Tried a new venue and it was nice surprise. Good value at £15.95 per person all inclusive with coffee and a selection of juices . Menu is quite extensive and lots to choose from. Although they forgot a breakfast and served the wrong choice of eggs. The recovery from the waitress colleague was highly successful. Checked on our satisfaction, offered more service of coffee , apologised with a smile. Continuing to make sure we enjoyed our experience, now that’s hospitality. Ambience great quite a buzzy atmosphere. Really had a pleasant morning. Food tasty good portions and presentation was good too. Thank you.

We were on a long walk from surbiton to richmond along the thames. Nice day- probably ill advised. We joined the human centipede that was richmond on a sunny sunday. Desperate for food we cut out to the centre and found cote. Plenty of space- brasserie french food cooked by brasserie french people. Good stuff- air con - friendly staff good food and pitchers of wine. Ditch the river head in land.

This used to be good. Staff and location were and are great. The food is shambolic. I ordered liver parfait. That in fact was late or terrine. Served cold, smelled like cat food and was accompanied with “bread” that was in fact stone bricks. Tore up the roof of my mouth. A painful experience. Then the pièce de résistance. The Beef bourguignon arrived. 1 pice of meet that looked like a plate served when rationing was a thing was served. I cannot overstate how hot this was. I’ve incurred probably life altering burns in my mouth from a nuclear level of heat. Will never return.

We arrived 4.45 and were given a very warm welcome by Camila and invited to stay even though we were early. My husband and I had poulet grille, chicken with creamy mushrooms and thyme sauce, frites and green beans then crepes aux cerise and cheese plate. A very delicious meal and reasonably priced. All the waiters and waitresses were very competent and professional. We were served by Gabriel, Jamie, Daisy and Stephano so we were served very quickly and efficiently.

I am simply not understanding the new portion sizing that has happened to wonderful Côte Brasserie. Is this supposed to be enough for adults? It used to be the place to be when it came to a great breakfast and lovely dinner. Now you are left with leaving hungry and disappointed. This was not how Côte was years ago. Either management has changed or Côte is focusing on refurbishment/decor vs food quality. Also, the removal of the vegetarian sausages was criminal. Highly requested items being removed from the menu simply doesn’t make sense. I used to spend Christmas Eve at a Cote. Now, snow thank you!

Absolutely lovely from the moment we came in the door. We were welcomed and shown to a quieter table in the corner, which we appreciated. Service was exceptional and food was delicious, couldn’t fault a thing. Thanks for making my birthday lunch special!

I’ve been approached by someone on telegram who told me that I should give a 5 star rating to this restaurant and I’d then get paid £5. She told me clearly that I don’t need to go to the restaurant, but that the restaurant is trying to increase its popularity by paying people to review it on line. Be warned therefore that other reviews about this restaurant maybe fake.

Great family experience, we really enjoyed our time there, the service and the food was outstanding for us who loves meat!

I went to cote richmond restaurant a while ago and i had the best experience ever everything was on point the food was amazing the atmosphere was so calm and nice i can’t say much about that restaurant because everything was just amazing!

Had a great meal with the wife down here last week while visiting family. Staff were all very pleasant. Will come by again if in the area.

Measly portions, poorly presented and staff who just don't care. Just had a miserable experience for lunch. I ordered steak frites for main. It arrived VERY quickly with a small amount of fries and an odd looking salad- some corriander with a few razor thin shavings of radish. The meat was grey. I had been asked which sauce I wanted, not realising until after this was a chargeable extra, £2.75 for a tiny pot of Peppercorn sauce. I'm not miserly with my money, quite the opposite but I felt a bit duped and it was nearly the same price as my drink. The portions were so tiny I ate it very quickly. For dessert I ordered the "crepes". Even the server looked embarrassed as he handed me the dessert- one tiny crepe, on a plate not much bigger than a saucer, some clotted cream I'd hate to think how long had been stood out and a dollop of cherry compote. Again it was a tiny portion. But it was tasty, just not really what I would expect- the prix fixe menu should explain if these are tasting menu size portions. To finish the waiter sold me a cappuccino which looked nothing like a cappuccino I've ever had in my life and without any chocolate on top. The place was empty. Staff stood around chatting. I don't think this place will be here in a year. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. £31 and I came away still hungry. The only positive is at least at 10% service isn't extortionate for the lack of care and attention given.

I've been here a few years ago and it was okay. I am leaving a 1 star review however, because they are using bots on Telegram to ask for 5 star reviews. Absolutely pathetic marketing practices.

My partner and I had dinner at Cote and we had a fantastic time. Despite not booking in advance, we were welcomed warmly. We really enjoyed the cosy atmosphere. The service was friendly, though it took a bit of time for our order to be taken, but once the food arrived, it was well worth the wait. We shared two starters: the truffle chips and seared scallops, which were both delicious. My partner absolutely loved his main course, the baked Ratatouille. I ordered the Mushrooms Bourguignon and was initially surprised, thinking they’d brought me a meat dish! However, the staff assured me it was all mushrooms, and I was blown away by the taste and texture. The richness of the mushrooms was incredible—so meaty, it was hard to believe! They told me the brand they used was called Fable. It's definitely worth trying it out. It was a wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy great food and a welcoming atmosphere.

Had food from this restaurant yesterday and it was way over my expectations. Very affordable when compared with other similar restaurant’s around. I would suggest having food from here when you are around !

You guys never fail to amaze me. Every visit is better than the last. French onion soup is the best I’ve had outside of France, and actually better than some places in France! Staff were amazing and attentive as usual. See you next time I’m in the area! ❤️

My wife and I were in Richmond for our Anniversary and I came across Cote Richmond. The staff very ver friendly and proficient with no problem too big or too small and very attentive. The food was excellent in its preparation and presentation and the staff took plenty time to explain and describe every dish ordered, every part of its ingredients and the method of preparation

Lovely staff, nice location and friendly atmosphere. The breakfast was very good, just a little expensive for what you get - the eggs cost extra, that's not cool. But overall still pretty decent. Everywhere is so expensive now even for breakfast, I don't know how I manage to stay fat these days.

Title: Disappointing Experience at Cote Brasserie I recently dined at Cote Brasserie, and my experience was far from satisfactory. From the moment I walked in, I was met with rude staff who seemed more interested in chatting among themselves than attending to customers. Their dismissive attitude and lack of professionalism set a negative tone for the entire evening. The atmosphere was equally disappointing. The dim lighting and cramped seating made the place feel more like a dingy dive than a chic brasserie. To top it all off, the menu was filled with what I can only describe as false advertising. The dishes served were a far cry from what was promised. The Steak quantities and/or measurements were incomparable. An 8 ounce advertised steak was more like a 4 ounces when it arrived to my table. Poor! Overall, my visit to Cote Brasserie was a regrettable experience. With rude staff, a poor atmosphere, and misleading menu descriptions, I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.

I was on the terrace for a coffee, Mike welcomed and delivered outstanding hospitality. Really can't wait to come back. Make sure you meet Mike on your next visit.

All was great as we sat down for our pre theatre dinner. I enjoyed the ambience and the friendliness. Only disappointment was my meal choice - I went for the burger. It was bone dry, overcooked (for me - but no one had asked how I would have liked it prepared) and accompanied by floppy lettuce and soggy bacon. Others were far luckier with their choices, so I am sure mine was an aberration. Disappointing nonetheless.

We ate dinner from the prix fixe menu. It was excellent and good value. The staff at this restaurant are always excellent and this visit was no exception. The drinks and food were served quickly and the staff were very friendly and efficient.

Went to Côte as a date night. The food and atmosphere were great, would highly recommend! Our waiter Chris was super nice and friendly throughout the evening. He overheard that my partner had never been to a vineyard before and organised a small wine tasting for us. It made our night, such a lovely touch!

Great food lovely service. The young lady that served 7 of us was great. All staff made a fuss. Food was amazing we all loved the calamari too. The sharer platter was delicious as a main meal.

Mishal was an excellent waiter. He was attentive and explained everything to me in order to make sure I’d order something that wouldn’t trigger my lactose intolerance. The food was delicious as well. Particularly the warm tomato salad, a simple but tasty starter.

Had dinner here recently prior to going to Richmond Theatre. Cote is always a reliable choice and this branch is no different. Exceptionally good value pre-fixe menu (and so nice to see whitebait as a starter!). We all enjoyed our meals and service was friendly and the waitress made sure we were fed and watered in a timely fashion so as to get to the theatre on time. Would only comment on the iPad order taking system. Needs either ditching or tightening up. Our poor waitress had to find three different iPads before getting one that worked - was just beginning to get irksome! Also, it's quite a tight crowded space and the restaurant was busy. Some of the staff were a bit clumsy and two of us were knocked and nudged several times whilst eating - only one waitress apologised though.

The food was great (breakfast menu, on very hot plates), but it was the staff that made the visit stand out. The manager is the friendliest I've come across in a really long time, and the waitress for our table was also a joy. Really makes such a difference :-)

Went to Cote because Ivy was very busy. Service was good and food was ok, where they fall down is waiter clearing plates and reaching over a diner that's still eating and adding items to bill that they never provided, like bacon on the burger and extra chips we ordered but never received. Cote you need to up your game if you want to survive in a competitive market. if the restaurant opposite you is busy selling the same food ie the Ivy, there is a problem.

We’ve previously been big fans of Cote. You’re never going to have the greatest food of your life, but it’s at least reliable. Not this one. It was one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had in a long time. The staff are very pleasant and friendly but service, to put it politely, is on the haphazard side. I don’t blame them – it felt like they haven’t received the right training to do their jobs. They kept on forgetting info on allergies and drinks took an eternity to arrive. Add to this, plates were filthy and sides of spinach and gratin were congealed and unappetising. We didn’t complain as we had friends over from the States and it would have spoilt the evening - and some of the food was tasty enough – but overall it was seriously disappointing. I’d be surprised if its stays in business in this location as there as so many better places to eat in Richmond – if you remember to book, which we didn’t. Lesson learned.
