Fantastic food. Classic french cuisine and some dishes with a twist. Great atmosphere and service. Very good selection of wines.

Have been to Côte a couple of times in the last couple of months to celebrate special occasions. Each time the staff have been polite and attentive and ready to give advice on any recommendations from the menu. The food has been delicious and good quality - we would especially recommend the elderflower and strawberry crème brûlée which was delicious and new to the current seasons menu. Will continue to visit when able in the future!

Took my daughter for a birthday treat . Totally spoilt by tje manager and chef hosting a full on meeting next to our table . I can tell you all about tje 5 applicants he was discussing (manager) and his new plants he’s order for the outside. Sadly I had to pay for a very spoilt lunch

Always a nice place to eat in, they give you a taste of France in England, variety is good. Thoroughly recommend.

We visited Cote Brasserie in Gloucester for a birthday celebration on Sunday evening. On arrival, we were greeted with promising first impressions as our allocated table had been thoughtfully decorated with a birthday banner, confetti, and a card – a lovely touch that set a celebratory tone for the evening. However, the service aspect of the visit unfortunately fell short of expectations. Despite our request for a Coca Cola upon ordering, it was not received until after we had finished our starters. Despite the glasses being present on the table, we weren't offered water, nor were the wine glasses removed. The lack of engagement from the team was also disappointing. Despite the restaurant being relatively empty, the team seemed preoccupied and failed to build rapport, or offer any checkbacks during our meal. Instead, the team were often clustered around the entrance chatting amongst themselves. Consequently, our table was not promptly cleared between courses. When the bill was presented, we had been incorrectly charged for two Coca Colas despite only one being consumed. This oversight further underscored the lack of attention to detail from the team. On a more positive note, the food itself was excellent. Each dish was well-prepared and flavourful. However, the excellent quality of the cuisine was overshadowed by the subpar service experience.

The fish stew..disappointing..very salty the salt can always be added according to taste... not much sea food content provided..the dish was supplemented with dlices of boiled potatoes.. the tuna dush was sent back ,overcooked...

My partner and I went in this evening for her birthday and the two trainee staff were lovely. Very sweet, friendly and approachable! The birthday confetti, card and banner were a lovely touch to the evening too - thank you!

Had a fabulous lunch here. The food was delicious. One small gripe was the cheese profiteroles for the starter were stone cold. I should have mentioned it but dident. But apart from that it was amazing. Had the mushroom quiche with truffle fries which were so good and a green salad. And then had the pear cake desert which was excellent as well. A lovely atmosphere very friendly staff and spotlessly clean. Will be back very soon.

Starter of cheese pastries were hard and overcooked, moules for the main course were well past their fresh point. The matter on the moules was well handled by what were very good staff, but the replacement quiche was overcooked ( possibly microwaved). Food was all a little disappointing, but staff and atmosphere were very good.

Have had many lovely meals here in the past , but I don’t know what went wrong last night! There has been a complete change of staff and attitude. No compassion could be seen from any of the staff and did not feel as if we were welcome. Vegetables raw and chicken pink. Think we will be finding a new favourite place. Sorry it’s your loss.

Booked online for a special birthday meal but told when we turned up that cash wasn't good enough and showed us out. Pity as we've been before and no prior warning or wouldn't have gone. Went to Greek on the dock Gloucester and had a great evening. No booking and waited sat at the bar till they found us a table. That's the choice next time...

Basic food small portions expensive drinks too.

I visited Cote last week for a dinner with my friend. It was a really nice experience, in a lovely relaxed environment. Everyone there was really nice and friendly, and the food was delicious. To eat I had the duck a l'orange, and for dessert I had their take on a creme brulee. Everything tasted wonderful and I would highly recommend people go there if they are looking for a nice relaxing evening.

The staff were friendly and attentive, and as always the food was excellent. It was my partner's birthday and they went the extra mile to make a fuss.

Will always recommend cote. Me and my friend wanted to dine somewhere we hadn’t tried before, and we were interested by cote. Straight from the start as we entered the restaurant we were greeted by the general manager Drew, who was our server throughout the evening. Nothing was too much trouble for him or any of the staff, Drew was attentive and patient whilst we took a bit longer with decisions, as being first timers didn’t phase him as he was very friendly giving us all the time we needed. The food was lovely and was well worth the prices. We felt very welcomed and will be returning for more. If you’re looking for great food with good prices and a friendly atmosphere, I highly recommend a visit to cote.

Having never been to cote before I wasn’t sure what to expect. But the experience was made through the staff and the food. Upon arrival we were met by the general manager Drew who was our server throughout the whole time we were there, we took a bit longer on ordering because we weren’t familiar with the menu but he was patient even though the restaurant was very busy as it was a Saturday night but despite this Drew was very attentive the whole night making sure everything was ok for us. I opted for the steak frites whilst my friend had the duck. I went with the waiters recommendation of how to have it cooked and I normally have it well done he recommended medium rare and it was cooked perfectly, the steak was juicy and the flavours were amazing with the chips and the salad complementing each other well. We felt very welcome straight from the go and will definitely be returning again as we had a great evening

Food was superb, waiter Alex was polite, helpful, courteous, and professional making my experience at Cote Brasserie Gloucester Quays more enjoyable.

Have eaten here before and whilst it is not bad - it is far from great. Visited with colleagues on a Monday night and had booked in advance. Restaurant was almost empty, but service was still average. The guy who served us spoke barely intelligible English and I had some Japanese visitors who speak good English, but they simply could not understand him, Food was OK - nothing to complain about, but nothing to write home about either. Also, because the place was fairly quiet, the staff clearly were interested in getting cleared and allowing them an early finish. As a result, although not rushed, it felt as if they were watching and waiting for us to finish and go. I have a business in Gloucester and we have overseas visitors regularly - there are many places to choose from in the Quays - and it will be a while before I choose this one again.

Whilst visiting Gloucester we stumbled upon Cote, it was the most perfect lunch. Great staff - we chatted to the restaurant manager who talked us through some of the wines and suggested the most amazing Sauvignon. We ate a 3 course meal and every dish was perfect. We would highly recommend eating here for lunch or dinner.

have not been here for a while booked for new years day the waiter told us whilst looking at the menu what was not available due to a busy busy new years eve the food arrive very quickly and was good service was good as well I will say not at all the same as when first opened

We arrived just before 6.30pm for a New Year's Eve meal. The resteraunt was packed with people and they did not have enough staff. The whole meal was absolute chaos, but we made the most of it having a laugh with the people on tables around us, who were experiencing the chaos too! Our table was not ready and we had to queue in the doorway waiting for about 10 minutes. There were people queuing for tables most of the evening, even though they'd booked in advance. The service was very slow and disorganised They took ages to ask us what food we wanted to order. We had to ask them to take our pudding order after sitting there for 30mins waiting to order. We didn't get out until 9.15pm, so the meal too 3 hrs! We asked for water on arrival and after asking 3 times more, it arrived in the middle of our main course. No one asked if we wanted a second drink, so we asked passing waiters 3 times, before drinks were provided. The staff were so flustered, twice we heard glasses falling off trays and smashing across the floor. Food was delivered to our table without cutlery. One course we had food was brought with no plates to eat off! The food itself was good, apart from the duck being over cooked. The evening was spoilt by there not enough staff on duty and the resteraunt booking far too many guests.

Came here for the New Year's Eve set menu. The service was extremely slow, we were here for nearly 3 hours! We asked for table water on arrival, had to ask 4 times which eventually arrived in time for our 3rd course! We had to ask 3 times to be served a glass of wine. We felt sorry for the staff, they were working hard, but the restaurant was totally overbooked. The food was good however, although my duck was over cooked. We asked for the service charge to be removed, and they also removed the charge for the wine as service had been so poor.

I've never had a bad experience in the 4-5 years I've been coming here, due to the wonderful staff that always do their best to make every meal the best it can be. They cater for everyone they can, they are good with groups, allergies, and vegan food, they give good recommendations and are always willing to help people that need it. I couldn't recommend them more highly !

Food was as good as it always is , but the staff were exceptional, especially the lovely Olivia who was outstanding. If only all dining experiences were this good! Such special service from all at Cote Gloucester Quays. Thankyou.

Côte has been one of my favourite places for many many years but haven’t visited this branch before. Visiting family from overseas and I suggested coming because every location I have ever been in has been consistently perfect and when in England I try to visit a Côte. The menu is as good as I remembered and the set menu is also a good option and super good value. I remember the crab being my favourite and it didn’t disappoint and the niçoise was always my go to, it exceeded expectations and has since had tapenade added instead of just black olives. I will always make my tuna niçoise now with tapenade instead of olives. The service was brilliant and cannot fault anything at all. Lewis was particularly professional, friendly and welcoming. I really really enjoyed the lunch stop and was also impressed still with the range and prices of the wine list. My husband always liked to have a glass of dessert wine with dessert which I’m pleased to see they still offer. Next time I am in the UK hopefully I will make it back here but definitely to a Côte. Thanks for a lovely lunch.

Amazing food, had the cote burger and was brilliant came cooked perfectly. Our waitress Olivia was very attentive and made the whole experience very enjoyable.After being served by her will be sure to come back soon.

Had eaten here once before and came back. Food was still good, service was good and friendly. Not a cheap lunch date but things are good so you don't begrudge it. They had a jazz saxophone player performing so the kind waitress took pity on me and got me to the furthest table from her. Sorry but I hate jazz, so much that in most restaurants I would have walked out and have done so. It's becoming one of our go to places to treat ourselves. And I suppose 2 cocktails and a nice bottle of wine helped bump our bill up but I had to soothe my nerves from the attack on my ears from That jazz!

Very much enjoyed a family birthday lunch here. The food was excellent. It was well presented and very flavoursome. Service was excellent being attentive without being overbearing. The Confit Duck Bigarade was delicious.... the duck leg especially so. Quiet and plenty of tables available on a Saturday lunchtime.

Fantastic food once again. I've been coming pretty much since you opened and we've only ever had maybe 3 issues which were dealt with wonderfully. The new server (who brought food) really made todays memorable. Highly reccomend the new almond desert - absolutely to die for!

We were served by a lovely gentleman called Alex. He always had a smile on his face and wasn't too over bearing when we had our meal. He was willing to help wherever he could and didn't make us feel like he was in a rush to get us out like some restaurants do. Thank you for such a lovely experience for such a special occasion.

Went out for birthday meal in the evening. We sat outside in a lovely area. From the minute we arrived we were met with welcoming smiles and a feeling that it was going to be a great night and had chosen right place to eat...

We went here for a birthday meal. The food we actually got was very good, we couldn't fault it. However after taking our dessert order, we waited over an hour for the desserts to show up, during which time nobody came to our table to see if we needed anything. We finally cancelled the order and left. A poor end to a birthday celebration and we won't be returning.

Draught beer should be an option I think and slightly more expensive than the other food places around in the area , food was superb though and well worth the treat

Food was generally quite good. The calamari was incredible, and the chips sides were good as well. The seafood stew(don't remember the name exactly) was nice too, although slightly too salty. The drinks we had were pretty average. Generally a good experience, although fairly expensive as you would expect.

Visited twice at lunchtime recently. On both occasions the staff were wonderful, very friendly and welcoming. The food was divine and beautifully presented. The 2 course lunch deal is outstanding value. A lovely restaurant with a good vibe, fabulous food and wine, highly recommended.

I took my daughter and family out for my husbands birthday and normally 2 courses would be plenty for us but the portions from the fix prix menu were very small. Three courses later we were still hungry 😟

First time at a Côte restaurant, and I was positively surprised with the quality of the food, and the portions were of decent size. Good service too. The à la carte options are varied and reasonably priced. However, there was an automatic 10% service charge added.

Food was lovely, very friendly staff but we had to wait a long time for dessert. The reason for 3 star for atmosphere was due to the fact that we were the only people there.

Tonight's visit was 'almost' great. The welcome was warm and the service was commendable. 75% of the three Main Courses were superb. However, the Beef Bourguignon was NOT as described on the Menu or pictured on the Côte Website. This dish is meant to be...

Hello, Can't say how amazing this place is! We came there to have a coffee with some pastry. We had some kids with us and the process of ordering of the food was a bit complicated. Nevertheless, the waitress was very patient with us. The coffee was great, pastry really tasty. The surprise was that there was a musician playing live there, it created really unique atmosphere... everyone liked our short coffee break at this restaurant. Best regards, Rustam

Large group of us came for lunch. Some of us did the fixed price option. The charcuterie board was delicious. The steak frites upgraded to a sirloin was alright. The meat just didnt have much flavour on its own and it doesn't come with the garlic butter when you upgrade. They messed up on some orders so my coworker got the wrong steak and another didn't get their food until the rest were almost done. I think they comped or discounted it from the bill but it seemed like hers was completely forgotten about. The staff were friendly and pleasant though.

Had a wonderful meal here on Wednesday night. Very attentive staff amd fabulous food - Thomas was exceptional. We will definitely be back when in the area. Highly recommended.
