Excellent breakfast experience.

We have breakfast at the Ivy and mostly chose to go here because of the offering for the vegetarian full English breakfast. It did not disappoint. The eggs were cooked perfectly, loved the flavor of the beans and the little potato hash brown patties were fried perfectly. We got it as a meal for only £1 more and it came with a green juice and two pastry items. We also got the avocado Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was nice and lemony, the eggs were beautifully done and the bread toasted perfectly. The decor and vibes of the restaurant just added to the experience .

Very cool vibe. The server was extremely attentive and enjoyable. Food came very quickly. My burger was an 8/10 but my wife got the Mexican chicken and my daughter got the shepherds pie and both were absolutely delicious. Atmosphere is very nice, would definitely eat here again if I’m ever passing back through.

We ordered the fish and chips and the seabass, which were very delicious. The portions were big. We also ordered ice tea and a non-alcoholic coctail. The coctail was very small and expensive. Loved the design tho.

A lovely meal in such a beautiful place with great cocktails, prices have gone up however and food isn’t always worth the price (£10 for burrata with a little bit of pesto). I also didn’t like the fact you have to pay for celebration (birthday, anniversary) desserts which traditionally have been offered for free by a restaurant. But the service was great and the food is still great (just a little overpriced sometimes)

super fancy but some of the best food ive had to date 🤤

This is my absolute favorite Ivy location! We felt like royalty while we dined. We had our own cozy table in the upstairs dining room, and it was super lovely sitting there admiring the gorgeous arrt & decor. The staff was incredibly delightful. I live near a location in London and all I can think about is how I can't wait to go back to this one. Our food was perfect. The Ivy in Bath does not disappoint!

Food was overpriced and not at all appealing. Restaurant should please know Blackened fish is a Seasoning. Not bbq sauce.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch with very good service from Joby but we were very unhappy to hear that the added 12.5% service would not go to the staff. Cancelled that and left a cash tip!

Had a wonderful evening here last week. Cocktails up the bar, great range of choice, well prepared, knowledgable mixologists. Meal was fantastic with an unexpectedly good vegetarian options. Lovely atmosphere. Hope to be back soon. Thank you!

The ambiance and service interior are really nice, but everything from the entrance handle to the feel is very luxurious and nice. I was a little sad because the food felt like it wasn't as good as eating it real from C.U. in the microwave.

Loved it, and our waitress (I wish I'd asked her name) was so amazing, she even saw that my girlfriend had a Happy Birthday sticker and brought her out a dessert with a candle, which was so kind and so unexpected. Thank you. Food was 9/10, Service 10/10. Highly recommend!

Such a bad experience at the Ivy bath this morning, after attempting to go for breakfast with my two children I was refused a table as the lady at the door said there was no tables available, outside I then went on book a table and there was multiple tables available so I went back in and question her, after he giving me a dirty snobby look she reluctantly said ok we can come in. Won’t be coming back to this resturant !

Had a great breakfast here. Muesli and pastries tasty. Others enjoyed pancakes and full English. Service lovely.

Afternoon tea disappointing. Scones small and over baked and not enough fruit in them. Other cakes seemed bought in rather than home baked. Sandwiches a bit stale and dull fillings. Service friendly. Stunning washrooms and decor in general. Lovely place but just disappointing food. Would definitely return to try other meals.

We were there for a birthday lunch and we regretted instantly. We didn’t feel welcomed when we got there as we didn’t have a booking. Then we were put next to two other tables even though there were so many other tables were available - I could hear people chewing next table to us as they were put together so closely. When we asked if we could move tables, we were told no as the others had bookings (when we left, there were still empty). Another table asked to be moved after us and they were moved to another table. The burger I had was very average, not Ivy quality. The only thing that was good about the whole thing was the service to our table. Overall, I don’t think we will go back again. Very different to the Ivy experiences I had a couple of times years ago.

Lovely food. But waitress sat us in the middle of the empty room and felt like we where on show. Asked to move to be told no. Don't think I'll be rushing back.

Had a lovely breakfast here. All staff were lovely and welcoming. The restaurant itself was very pretty on the inside. I had the pancakes, which were lovely, the strawberry sauce was very tasty. My friend had the cooked breakfast, which was also enjoyable. I had a voucher. Just ensure you take it with you or have it on email. Would definitely recommend for a special breakfast.

Disappointing afternoon tea. They do not replenish anything and will definitely judge you if you ask.

Not the experience I have experienced in other Ivy restaurants. Food and service mediocre.

However the food was ok the Cod and the vegetarian hallumi dishes’ portions were pretty small. The service was alright, upstairs were ok but downstairs was better. As if we had dinner with other people next to us. Also, our table was constantly moving. So, when we’re using our knives we struggled to manage our table. As a dessert, we ordered crème brûlée but it’s cold and didn’t come with a decent jam and biscuit as Ivy’s other branches in London

Truly wonderful meal with next level service. The food has a wonderful French twist and first rate ingredients. Not the cheapest but well worth it. There is a lovely little open courtyard out the back which is lovely on a sunny day. There its also a room which you can book for events.

I visited the ivy for the first time as it had been recommended to me… firstly I wasn’t happy at all about the service charge for the following reasons We had to wait for our starter that had been forgotten about My steak had gone cold by the time the sauce was remembered Nobody came to the table to ask how the meal was until the very end when we had to call over someone to pay the bill. We were given the bill and then had to wait and call someone over for us to pay.. I was very disappointed with our visit to you and unfortunately wouldn’t recommend it to anyone

Way too fancy for a gutter dwelling troll like me. I’ve always prioritised quantity over quality and unfortunately the full English I ordered left me needing to eat the pastries that had been given to us. Full English means full. I’ve never been asked how I want my eggs cooked and it threw me into a spin. I answered, “fried?” And he looked at me like a peasant. The menu clearly states fried eggs with the full English so I was understandably confused by his egg question. Fantastic atmosphere that made me want to buy a top hat and tell somebody what to do.

Bit over cooked and slow service

Had our 1 year anniversary there a few days ago was very nice food and good service.

Greet by friendly and helpful staff. Cocktails lovely. Food and drink delicious. Atmosphere and service perfect couldn’t fault. Not cheap but worth it for lovely meal for myself and wife on pre anniversary dinner in Bath.

Salmon fishcake as part of the 2-course deal for £19.50. It was fresh and delicious! Perfect for a nice lunch.

Worth it . Honeslty one of the best breakfasts we have had as a family. 3 adults, 1 child and a baby - £80. Not bad including drinks.

Been here a couple of times. Service and decor are its best features, food is good, albeit not up with the best that Bath has to offer, a safe choice though, consistent.

Back for a second time to celebrate a family birthday, we were taken to a table upstairs which was very nice. I had added info about it being a birthday on the booking but no-one was aware(I had to inform them again) table was of poor quality and rocking every time we put pressure on each side. Service was not as efficient as my last visit and we had to wait almost 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Service charge of 12.5% was added, this is discretionary so I asked for it to be removed - no issue from the staff but always makes you feel a bit conscious when doing this but I did not feel like the service deserved at £30 additional charge.

12pm Thursday lunch, no wait. Very beautiful interior and staffs are friendly. Starter steak tartare £12.95, score: 10/10 the sirloin are finely diced up, texture is firm and fine. It’s mixed on table side. Well seasoned, one of the best steak tartare in uk I’ve tasted. Portions are small, but perfectly great for two person to share as it came with 4 pieces of small toast, a great starter you wouldn’t want to miss. 2 course for each set only £19.17 score: 10/10 We’ve ordered 2 sets, therefore 2 starters and 2 main Starter: White onion and truffle soup, score 7/10 Honestly couldn’t taste the truffle, sweet onion and smooth texture. Not over seasoned. A solid dish, nothing extraordinary. Salt and pepper squid, its like fried calamari or salt and pepper squid from Chinese takeaway. The batter is light, crispy. Not too flavourful, sauce was okay, it’s a 6/10. Ok dish, nothing too special. Main: I didn’t try out the pie, my wife did. So I couldn’t comment on it, please refer to photo for its presentation. Crab and scallops ink pasta, 8/10 Ink pasta is al Dante, perfectly executed. Scallops are a bit small, therefore couldn’t be seared enough, or else it will overcook. The sauce is full of crabs, generous amount. All of it goes really well, would recommend if you like seafood. It’s slightly fishy for people who doesn’t eat seafood tho (but definitely not chefs fault, it’s a matter of taste) the overall price for 19£ for a 2 course in such a beautiful setting and great service is a steal in 2024. Highly recommend for dates due to beautiful interior and good price. Also could recommend to everyone else as it’s a restaurant that has solid dishes with reasonable price. Would visit again next time if I pass by bath.

Very cool atmosphere enjoy very much

Went in yesterday for the very first time. I ordered the Shepherds Pie ( Big mistake ) OK if you're a one year old child, but totally insufficient for an adult. Wine, out priced and way over the top per glass. You can't buy wine if it's good by the glass.. You are forced to purchase the bottle.. All in all a terrible food experience. Couldn't fault the waitress service as this was brilliant. Charging the amount you do for baby size portions is a total rip off .. But then again, it's Bath and you won't have to worry, as this is another tourist trap.. Sad and unexpected

The Ivy never dissapoints, service always amazing and food beautiful as always. Sets the gold standard for every other restaurant. Well done.

Visited in September 2023. 4.5/5. We came to celebrate a 60th birthday and nothing starts the day right than breakfast at The Ivy in Bath. It was a delightful blend of delicious cuisine and vibrant ambiance. From the moment we entered, we were greeted by the lively decor that set the tone for an enjoyable dining experience. Opting for the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, it did not disappoint. The eggs were creamy and perfectly cooked, complemented beautifully by the rich flavor of the salmon. Each bite was a symphony of flavors that left us thoroughly satisfied. Plus, they brought out a birthday treat, which was well received. The decor of the restaurant was fun and vibrant, adding to the overall charm of the dining experience. The service was fairly attentive and friendly, with staff ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of excellent. While our experience at The Ivy was fantastic overall, rating it 4.5 stars because of the delay in our main meal, despite it not being that busy.

Superb service, excellent food. A great occasion restaurant.

We went in to the Ivy at about 10pm (it shuts at 11:30 according to the website). We asked if they were still serving as it looked quiet and they assured us they were, sitting us at the bar. We ordered drinks, a cocktail and a beer. Both were really nice, but we were given the wrong beer and the cocktail was quite hastily made. As we sat and had our drinks, the staff were closing down the bar, doing inventory while loudly gossiping about the business and their personal lives right in front of us. We drank up quickly as it was clear they wanted us out, which is a shame as the drinks are pretty expensive and we were charged a pretty hefty tip which we should have asked to be removed. It's difficult when people come in as you are trying to shut down, but they really shouldn't be serving people during this time, and would rather be turned away.

Okay so my wife and I dined there twice on successive evenings while staying in Bath and the place tries to offer an up market dining experience but actually falls short. The food is okay but not up to the standard that the price reflects particularly the lobster linguine. The service was also only okay and some of the waitresses need to smile a little more!

To be honest, for the place it is and the prices they have, I expected the food dishes to be better. The service is very good, but I feel that the menu lacks more variety. The food is good but nothing amazing. I repeat, the service from the floor manager was 5 stars.

We are regular visitors at The Ivy Bath. Every visit is perfect, the staff are exceptional with first class service. Food is great and they have a very good range on the menu.

Nice atmosphere, very nice that they gave us a nice cake for our anniversary. Just one thing, when we are dining - I can hear staff talking about their personal lives or chatting around ramdon stuff - because we are just sitting next to them. It be nice if staff would just not chat around where customers can hear. I came here to celebrate our anniversary, not to listen to other personal lives.

Too ugly and posh service. This is not the place if you like to be served!!! Please go back to human to human service. It was my first time in Bath and have not read or check anything just pop in. I've seen the ceiling from outside. Amazed by the beauty. I asked: Can I come and see the ceiling? Answer: No, only guess allowed to come in but I can open the the door to look in. She is an employee. If she would be trained well, offer me a solution like a take away tea/coffee while I just look at the ceiling upstairs what was not visible through out the door. Anyway, I felt humiliated. Do I demolish the style of the restaurant just by look at it for 5 minutes??? Solution, service, upsell....and when I come back to Bath,I could be a returning & happy customer with my family.

We went to the Ivy for our anniversary this weekend and we were blown away by the food, the service and just the place in general. They make you feel really special and you are well looked after. The food is exquisite! I had the cheese souffle to start, and cannot recommend it enough; it was so light and fluffy. The decor of the place is on point and the toilets are very clean. You are paying for what you get; high end food and high end service.

Beautiful décor with a vibrant palette and eclectic mix of art, ranging from detailed plasterwork to modern vibrancy. Sumptuous cushions. Comfy snugs and chairs available. So enjoyable!

Came here with my group of girls for a classy hen night dinner, and it was everything we could've wished for. Our waitress was simply amazing and so fun and accommodating. Food was all delicious, I had the fish cake with mash and greens for a side and got a fancy gin cocktail to accompany. This is a difficult review to judge correctly. On the one hand, I wanted to give this 2 stars, but one of the ladies servicing our table was nice so it’s a 3-review. If only she was serving us then it would probably be a 4 star. Let’s start with service - our main waitress was quite unpleasant to deal with. The reason why I find this review difficult to write is because I can’t really provide any constructive feedback on her behavior, but the way she spoke to us, the way she looked at as, and how quickly she left the tableside just gave an indication that she is very annoyed with us. The other lady was very nice and in a good mood which slightly leveled the experience Food - the steak was medium while we ordered medium-rare. It’s quite an important difference when you are paying for an expensive steak. It needs to be cooked right. The buns on my burger where BLACK. Does the chef look at it before assembling the dish? If yes then does he think it’s ok to serve burnt food? The restaurant was kind enough to offer to change the dishes which adds a service star for sure, but still, you cant get such simple things wrong as a steak or burger buns. They are not complicated to cook.

Beautiful place, sadly there for the wake after a funeral, but rooms, decor and food was lovely.

Tonight we were book for 8.15 we turned up at 7.55 to be told table not available till 8.15 which was fine asked to have a drink at bar until table ready to be told very rudely no room it's full come back at 8.15 well guess what we won't be back at 8.15 and found beautiful restaurant cote de brassiere which welcomed us and are eating as I type and the food is beautiful

Such an easy 5 star! I always enjoy my trips to The Ivy (in Bath and across the UK) but last night truly was exceptional! We hired the upstairs space for work and the decor, food and service were all outstanding! Cannot recommend the private hire highly enough. We loved every second. Big thanks to Lauren and Bastien for organising, and to Matt and Oscar for their exceptional service. Can’t wait to return

We had a dreadful experience at the Ivy in Bath. Our food arrived at different times, when three of us had finally got our food we then waited a further 10 minutes for my 93 year old mother in law’s meal. My brother in law’s steak was stone cold. He sent it back and then waited over 35 minutes for it to be replaced, by which time we had all finished our meal. The food was poor, at best mediocre pub quality. This was not what we expected- a rip off. I will never go to the Ivy again.

Absolutely stunning! My partner and I came here for our anniversary meal. Thank you to our waitress, Emily, for her perfect friendly and attentive service. We couldn’t have asked for more. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection. Compliments to the chefs. What a wonderful evening.

A semi regular lunch and dinner spot for me and somewhere i happily recommend to others. I adore the shepherds pie. The staff are always so friendly and a pleasure to interact with and a lot of them seem to have worked there for quite a while, its nice to see some of the same faces on return visits.

We were very excited to go to Ivy as we really love visiting. When we arrived at our table the lady asked us if we would like water and we had to wait very long time to get the water and with that to order our drink as well.Our waiter (young girl) wasn’t really in the mood for some reason.When i told her that i want to order only starter for now she looked at me quite bad.As i wanted to order my main later.We have never been asked for second drink as the glasses were empty for while.I had to ask her for more water as the bottle was empty.When i asked her for the desert menu it took her a while again to bring it over. Drinks were lovely,starters too(duck perfait and buffalo mozzarela),main dish (salmon)for my girlfriend was good,but the sauce she didn’t liked it.Desert was lovely(creme brulee). With different waiter we would have hd completely different experience.
