Champagne+Fromage Bath in Bath and North East Somerset

What a find!! This is a must visit for people looking for a quirky, unique evening in a lovely restaurant with friendly staff. We came for some wine and a cheese board as had been out for dinner earlier in the day. This place was perfect! Staff were helpful and friendly and we tried some amazing food and wine. You have to try the cheese with black cherries-divine!! Would highly recommend this place to people who enjoy their food/wine/cheese. The food coming out on neighbouring tables looked really good too. If you want to have a little escape to France then this is the place to visit! Top venue!!

Incredible experience. The owner was our server and she did a great job helping us navigate the tapas menu. We had the BEST champagne of our lives and tried some new foods too. Definitely pop in for a glass and tapas if you're in Bath.

Why are there not more places like this in our towns & cities. We had the cheese and champagne afternoon tea, this consisted of 5 wonderful cheeses, bread, fig chutney and cherry sauce. Also served with macarons and other French cakes all washed down with champagne - perfect! The service was just right, staff were friendly but not too in your face. The place also sold a range of cheeses, meats and wine. It also offered small plates which we heard were superb by the other patrons. Well worth a visit

We used a voucher given to us for a Champagne & Fromage experience. We absolutely loved it. Perfect rustic setting, excellent food, friendly staff. Bath was a great setting for this experience.

During Somerset trip we stopped ver in Bath for a couple of nights. We walked past this place and so glad we decided to go in and take a look inside. Hidden at the back is a beautiful laid back place to enjoy freshly made small plates to satisfy everyone. Sea bass, duck and amazing cheeses. Served with beautiful champagne. Fabulous service. Beautifully intimate and chilled. Memorable evening.

I was given the cheese afternoon tea as a present and it certainly didn’t disappoint! We had a three tier stand with 6 different cheeses, fruit and various preserves. The waiter explained the cheeses and brought champagne. We had it as a late lunch and found it really filling. There were crackers and delicious bread to eat with the cheese. Then tea and cakes. Really enjoyable.

Received a so called gift box. What was received was a soggy stinking mess in a plastic carrier bag with some warm cool packs. Save your money.

The staff are friendly and welcoming. The concept of champagne, charcuterie and cheese is simple but they do it really well and the quality of the produce is great. The sharing boards are lovely and just right for lunch. We’d happily return even just for the champagne; refreshing to quaff lesser known brands.

From making the reservation to leaving the venue the service here was just fantastic! Very attentive and helpful - they really made you feel like it was important to them that you had a good time. We had champagne, cheese & tapas - all very good. It’s a cosy venue so would recommend booking.

A great selections of saucissons and cheeses! But a very very limited selection of wines (three - two reds one white even thought on the phone was told there’s a wine list), but they sell a big selection at the shop upstairs. So a tad confused by that. The wait for the first meat/cheese platter was over 25 minutes, even though we were the only customers. But otherwise a great evening, just needs a bit of improvement.

My boyfriend and I came here for Valentines lunch and we had the most amazing experience ever. The staff were so kind and helpful and knowledgeable and the food champagne and atmosphere was absolutely perfect. We will definitely be visiting again!

We did not know what to expect from our evening but were very pleasantly surprised it was all tasting plates we chose several and the quality was excellent the wine recommendation good . We will certainly return.

It was very much interesting to try, for the first time, French tapas very well cooked and served. I recommend this restaurant if you are not starving as quantity is not its plus.

Delicious platters of mixed charcuterie, olives and cheese. Pleasant staff and the all important champagne served at the perfect temperature from a small selection of varieties on the menu. Not somewhere I would visit regularly, but certainly for a special occasion.

We booked a table for a birthday celebration and had a marvelous time. The menu was explained to us in full, and the sharing boards of cheese and meat were sublime! The service was attentive and not at all obtrusive, and we quite happily got through two bottles of champagne over the couple of hours we spent there! The place looks lovely and the staff is friendly and passionate about the food which makes the overall experience pleasant but the food itself is really overpriced and occasionally a bit bland as well. The idea behind it is good and it's nice to propose some "cozy" french food where most restaurants offer high french cuisine instead, but the simplicity of some of the dishes really doesn't justify the price and leaves a bit disappointed.

Came here last minute based on availability. The restaurant has only been operating in Bath for 5 months and is truly a hidden gem! The menu works very much like a tapas we’re each person orders 2-3 dishes and taste all the wonderful flavour combinations. We ordered the cheese and meet board, Camembert, shrimp, squid, beef chimichanga, goats cheese rolls, mussels and sweet potato fries. All were amazing and cooked/prepared to perfection. we finished our meal with fig sticky toffee pudding, cherry cake and crime brûlée. Would highly recommend before it shoots to the top of the tripadvisor ranking!

Went with my Mum for lunch. Had a selection of cheese, champagne and nibbles. Everything was so tasty, especially the cheese with truffles! Staff very friendly and helpful too!

One of the best charcuterie and cheese platters I've ever had, with excellent tapenade, quince jelly, Kirsch syrup and chutney. The cocktails were also top quality, I particularly enjoyed the Earl Grey Champagne cocktail and the Old Fashioned. It's clearly run by people who enjoy this themselves because everything is so well judged. The staff are lovely and provide thoughtful service. I had a fantastic evening here with my gf.

My husband booked this last minute and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, staff went above and beyond. the champagne fabulous and there is a Great ambience.

We were there on our last day in England and were curious to try something French while in England. The owner was really gentille and explained to us the interesting concepts in his place.

I stumbled on this place while wandering Bath. The homey and sometimes irreverent decor grabbed my attention initially, but the food. Jesus. I wasn’t expecting something so good. I ordered the mussels (w pumpkin), duck skewer (w chutney), artichoke dip (bread) and some rosé, and basically forgot about the outside world for an hour. The staff was also charming and kind. 10/10. Would return and maybe have future children here.

I organised some food and drinks with friends for a get together in their Champagne bar in the lower basement. The decor is fantastic and menu delightful. We shared platters of french cheeses and charcuterie as well as bottles of a great champagne. All the staff was so attentive and kind and thank you to the manager Maria for looking after us too.

Wow! What an amazing, quirky place with the kindest staff!! The food was fabulous - a wonderful selection of meats and cheese (and plenty of bread). We all took a special shine to Stephan, lovely man and certainly knew his stuff!! A++++

What can I say - a fantastic addition to Bath. Champagne, fromage and SO.MUCH.MORE. We spent a superb evening in the bistro where the small plates on offer could not have been better. The staff were amazing - friendly but not overly so. Interiors are eclectic and interesting and add to thr overall feeling of the place - relaxed, charming and hard to leave! Cant wait to go back (maybe for champagne cocktails in the basement this time !)

Having visited the Covent Garden restaurant, we were looking forward to visiting the new(ish) branch in Bath. We were not disappointed. Set in a cosy underground room, the decor is elegant and modern. Started with a glass of Lacroix rose champagne, which was lovely and crisp, not cloying like rose can sometimes be. Followed with bread on board, which had lovely soft warm bread. The star was the 5 cheese board, really generous amounts of tasty cheese. The staff were friendly and it was great to see the place busy on a Saturday afternoon. We thought it excellent value for lots of cheese, bread and a few glasses of champagne. Very much look forward to returning.

Just popped in for nibbles and a coffee, glad we did, it’s a lovely new place in town, with friendly staff, the decor is great and there is a very cosy downstairs lounge bar. We hope to go back one evening. It’s at the top of Milsom street, definately give it a try.

We were down stairs in the champagne bar. They had a good selection of champagnes and offered delicious sharing platters of Corsican meats and lots of different cheeses. The bar would be very romantic for a 1:1 bottle of champagne or fun with friends. Great vintage meets industrial decor. Lovely, knowledgable staff.
