Cosy Club Taunton in Taunton Deane

Walked in to a warm looking room , but cold reception , sat in front landing , then watched member of staff brushing her hair for 5 mins , won't be staying for food as maybe hair in it , dissapointing as lovecthe plymouth and Bath cosy club

Lovely looking place with plenty of group's of people. Unfortunately the only cider they had was a bottled pineapple one not for me, staff to busy talking to each other on the occasion I went in(might have been work related) like I said Lovely looking place.

Went for a coffee. Very nice decor and atmosphere. Staff were attentive.

Almost inedible food. Stale bun and terrible pasta. Long wait.

I was in my disabled buggy, sitting outside, two weeks ago. No-one came to bring a menu, and so I had to struggle inside and upstairs. My salmon fish cakes were tasteless, the hollandaise sauce was thin and my poached egg was hard. Again, no-one came to ask how the food was. Useless, poor service and very poor food.

I went in after travelling 24 hours with only an hour sleep. Friendly and swift service, found a place for me to pop my luggage, food was great. I was in and out in under an hour and I had 2 courses. It worked perfectly as I had a pre arranged lift on my last leg home and as I finished, they arrived ❤️.

Set a few minutes walk from Taunton town centre the Cost Club is a large venue and the restaurant is situated on the first floor. Staff are friendly and efficient and the food (Butcher breakfast) was good quality and tasty. A great place to meet and chat whilst having a meal.

I usually really enjoy cosy club but left disappointed this time. The service was ok but food left more to be desired, and for what we paid I would have expected better. We were told the menu was being changed the next day so couldn’t help but feel they were using up what was left in the kitchen. The portion sizes were small and unappetising and lacked a level of flavour. The saving grace for myself was the fries otherwise I would have been hungry. I only hope the new revised menu is improved as I probably won’t be returning for dinner.

Over a year three visits with the first encouraging the second but not so good and this review is of the last. No prawns for early dinner service on a Saurday evening. Offering steak dinners without the nomally expected accompaniments available; in this case English Mustard for a Fillet Steak. Worse nobody seemed to care and just offered alternative dishes. We stayed and chose alternates were not nice and shant be returning.

Really nice place. Great building with great atmosphere, super service and very good food. Well worth a visit.

Me and my fiance had the dirty breakfast roll (mine gluten free) this morning and it was absolutely delicious. They were great with my dietary requirement having a separate menu with lots of choice, the staff were friendly and organised and there is a nice relaxed atmosphere. Would come again.

I keep coming back as it's so good! Lovely staff and great food esp with a range of dietary options. Seabass was amazing and sauce was so flavourful! Absolutely love the decor and atmosphere which is soothing and calm.

This is a little later than originally planned as have been in hospital myself after the event we held at the cosy club. My partner at the time decided after having some health news that we would be getting married sooner in the year than was planned. We had a phone conversation with someone we believed was at the club to book the 26th January 2024 as our evening do with close family and some friends. Only a couple days before we popped into the club to sort out where and what decorations to place to be told that we had not spoken with them and that we had spoken with customer bookings team who had not confirmed the booking, the manager theee at the time was extremely helpful and advised that we may only be able to have the small area downstairs due a larger group needing upstairs area. We were happy with this as he had done all he could to assist us. The staff on the day were amazing, firstly setting us upstairs to sit in a group together and looked after us in such an amazing way. It transpired that we did not need to go to the lower area as the larger group had not turned out as large as was booked and we could remain in the bar area. The service was professional and personal, the food was perfect for what we wanted and everyone was delighted with their day. My wife and I would like to thank the team for the hard work and effort they put in to making our day special, the location was perfect for us as we had our first date there 6 years before and it sealed everything just right. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for going the extra mile to make us fit into your location with such short notice and for making the day just perfect.

We were a party of 12 and really loved the food and our drinks were topped up consistently. Thank you to all the staff who made our visit a nice one.

Tapas sounded and should have been delicious delicious but felt a bit let down, dry chicken and soft pork belly. Children's meatballs were like a chopped up dry burger with heinz spaghetti. Good atmosphere, wouldn't recommend for food

chelsea was absolutely phenomenal and fit the vibe of the place perfectly, incredible service 10/10, went above and beyond to meet our needs. if you go to cosy club make sure you're served by chelsea for top tier service

We went here back in April and it was brilliant! Special shout out to Charlie our waiter, he made my friend's birthday extra special and brought alot of fun to the table, food was delish, drinks were fabulous and the building and decor was beautiful! Would deffo recommend this place 👌

This is our absolute go to for food in Taunton. Our waitress Abs, who is always amazing explained that the menu had been tweaked since our last visit. Hubby and I had a selection of tapas and our son had his usual "dirty burger". Food was fabulous, couldn't fault it and service was on point. Would (and do) recommend highly!

Food & Drinks are pricey but worth it. The chicken burger will not disappoint, absolutely loved the Mac n cheese in this! Inspired! Service is impeccable and we lingered all afternoon and we're made to feel most welcome to do so. Well worth a visit!

This is a really great pub. I have to say that I was pretty disappointed with the breakfast. Don't get me wrong, it was nice, but for the price (£11.95), I'd have expected something a bit better. I've had nicer breakfasts for less. The added 10% service charge was also a cheeky addition. I'd go back, but probably just for drinks.

Bad experience. Food overpriced, very average, stingy portions. The place was freezing - people sitting in their coats and hats - thought it was meant to be cosy! Despite the cold weather, radiators were cold. Toilets disgusting. All the signs indicate a restaurant on its way out of business.

Over priced food, staff hang around doing nothing, didn't get drinks 🍷 orders right and not busy enough to get a good amplifier 😉

I spent my birthday at cosy club last night and it was amazing! The staff were incredible, especially Charlie, who made sure my birthday was special and provided me and my family with the best service. He made me and my whole family laugh and was so friendly. A breath of fresh air. Great service, could not fault. Always loved cosy club but now I love it even more 🩷

3 family members and I went here, on the evening of Tuesday, 5th March, for a meal and a catch up. What an inspired choice it was! We had heard good things but didn’t realise how good it was. The staff were excellent, the venue is relaxing and the food was amazing. Personally, I had the Salmon Fishcakes followed by Sticky Toffee Pudding and it was sublime. The food was so good that I took my middle daughter for lunch there on Thursday, 7th March. On this occasion I had the Dirty Chicken Burger, which was absolutely delicious. I will be recommending it to my friends and family while looking forward to my next visit.

Held our wedding reception at the Den in the Cosy Club. Very helpful staff and made the day go off smoothly. Food was very good and response from the guests was all very positive. We were able to have a singer and caricaturist at the venue and personal bar service provided. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a wedding venue

Booked a table for 6 for breakfast. We had a fun relaxed couple of hours. The food was delicious and service was great too. Even ended up having some early cocktails! Would definitely recommend and will return to try out their lunchtime menu.

Cosy indeed! Waited here for my delayed National Express. Delightful atmosphere. Migrated from morning tea to a strawberry shrub since my bus didn’t show up til mid- afternoon.

The vegan cheeseburger was delicious! It was one of the best I've had 😍. The building and decor are quirky. Nice selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

Great atmosphere here, with Cosy seats and cushions. Music playing but not so loud that you can still hear your group in conversation. The food is always hot, fresh and tasty. Cherry Bakewell is my favourite cocktail which they serve. I really rate the Cosy Club. Bathrooms are always clean.

Had such a lovely evening meal, the food and cocktails were delicious! Slightly on the pricey side, but definitely worth the money. We were quickly seated even though we hadn’t booked beforehand. Both wait time and service were fantastic! We had a lovely waitress with a leaf tattoo serve us but unfortunately didn’t catch her name. Will hopefully be returning in the future!

Food and service was very good, it was our first time there last Saturday, will be back.

Good very over priced and not much of it. I ordered fries and two pieces of bread. They charged me £4.50 for two slices of plain white bread. When I pointed out my disgust, the waitress suggested, "you do get two pieces"... The fries were nearly a fiver and arrived in an ashtray size holder and few of them. For that price , I could get a proper meal else where with veg and meat. Won't eat there again, terrible waste of money. The service was appalling, we had to ask for condiments, and the reluctant waiter practically threw them at us. I was with a friend so had to stay but for two small fries, bread,pot of tea, larger, and a mini macaroni it came to £ 28.

Nice location. Nice lighting and decor. Food is pretty good, not the cheapest, probably worth it. Drinks can be a bit pricey depending what you want. Wait at the bar, maybe a slight lack of staff. The toilet is downstairs and it could be hard to find, you may have to ask.

The name certainly suits the ambiance. This is a very cosy place to have a relaxed and delicious breakfast and while I've not been for dinner here yet I'd expect it to live up well with the quality of the breakfast items. Wonderfully fresh avocado and an extra of grilled halloumi work absolutely wonderfully in tandem with the perfect sourdough toast here to start your day. Very wide selection of drinks as well with lots of interesting cocktails at reasonable prices, though I went with the rather simple brunch classic and had a Mimosa, which was perfectly balanced between good prosecco and a nice tipple of orange juice. Absolutely have to recommend you try the house rostis here too, delightfully crunchy and delicious. Very friendly and prompt service rounded off the experience to be great all-round in combination with the great food and comfortable atmosphere.

1st visit to Cosy Club for a works festive brunch. Beautiful building, friendly service, great menu choices. I opted for the Shakshuka but got envy at the pancakes and the cosy eggs. Great choice of breakfast drinks - wish I could have enjoyed a breakfast cocktail but opted for a fresh OJ and a latte Would definitely visit a cosy club again

Breakfast was mediocre over cooked sosties ,under cooked sausage

The staff were great. But cooking was very poor.

Waited too long for food, our order was forgotten. When the breakfast arrived the bacon was overdone, the toast was tough to chew and the sausage was oily. The waitress acknowledged our wait, apologised and gave us a complimentary drink. Can't fault the waitresses just the chef needs to stop dishing up overcooked bacon. The food was so so considering the price, better off going to a cheaper cafe or a Toby for your breakfast.

The Cosy Club is a great place to eat breakfast and lunch in Taunton. The menu is attractive, varied, and healthy, and I’ve always found it to be very well prepared, presented & most importantly tasty! The professionalism & friendliness of the staff further enhance the dining experience. They exhibit a high level of professionalism & attentiveness, and a show a genuine commitment to making each visit special. Especially, Abbie, who consistently delivers great, friendly service, & definitely deserves special commendation. She definitely deserves a pay rise.

This is the first time I've eaten here, usually I've just popped in for the occasional drink. I went in for breakfast, a good selection from English muffins, Shakshuka, traditional English breakfast and if you're really hungry a Butchers Brunch! The food was hot, beans in a ramekin and the coffee was very good. Value for money was excellent.

Delicious food, really friendly, helpful service. Fun, dramatic (love the chandeliers) but warm décor. Always seems busy, in a good way, with a range of ages.

This is a lovely place to share a meal and relax . The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and welcoming , it could be the best place in Taunton for a friendly welcome. Looking forward to returning at the end of the month for a family wedding dinner , knowing that the venue and staff will be professional and lovely.

We had a farewell meal for a work colleague. It was held in the downstairs function room. I has a private bar and fits her bill for a small group get-together. The meal was good well presented and reasonably priced for three course. The location is central with parking close by. I would certainly recommend this venue for a small group get-together.

The Cosy Club is just about my favorite place to eat breakfast and lunch in Taunton. The menu is attractive, varied, eclectic and healthy, and it's always been very tasty and expertly prepared and presented. The proficiency and professionalism of the staff further enhance the dining experience. They consistently exhibit a high level of friendliness, attentiveness, and a genuine commitment to making each patron feel valued and welcomed. Notably, Abbey, who consistently delivers exceptional and amiable service, deserves special commendation.

My friend and I went to the cosy club in Taunton for lunch it was lovely the food the atmosphere and we had Megan serving us she was lovely couldn’t do enough for us really enjoyed it.

Came here last Saturday early eve for drinks & something to eat. Ive noticed that wine prices have rocketed in the last few months since i was here. My friend had a lamb dish which was very good. I unfortunately had the veggie Risotto and, as it had hardly no rice in it(just a plate of green veg), i wouldnt recommend it, especially as it was around £16. Nice atmosphere & they allow dogs which is a bonus. Not sure if id go back again as has become bit pricey 1 glass wine & 2 small mains £46.

Food was delicious but took nearly 40 minutes to arrive and it was no where near capacity.

This used to be one of our go to places for family celebrations but we’d only been for breakfast in the last couple of years. Arrive early for our table & decide to have drinks - the downstairs area was almost empty and covered in reserved signs for 45 mins prior with no sign of the party so we thought we could sit until they arrived (this area remained empty for our entire visit, still covered in ‘reserved 6pm’ signs). We and another woman were officiously moved immediately by the manager and resorted to perching on uncomfortable footstools in the reception area for 25 minutes before being allowed to our table in a 2/3rds empty restaurant. Our server was pleasant and helpful but long delay to order and again for food. The food was good but such poor value in comparison to previous experience, especially the small plates - and one broccoli dish was not in any way prepared to the description on the menu. We were all left hungry and very disappointed. A shame.

The food is amazing, especially vegan food, for someone who doesn’t get many options majority of the time, the selection is wonderful and tastes amazing! I would recommend coming here, not only for the food but the atmosphere it’s beautiful!

On a trip thought Taunton we had a fantastic family breakfast at the weekend. It’s our first visit to a cosy club, coming from London we had no clue. Wow it was impressive, great staff, brilliant food and a loverly vibe. Super impressive. The venue too is truly amazing, even the trip downstairs to the loo is an adventure! Would recommend to anyone. Ditch the predictable, average and therefore disappointing hotel breakfasts and go here instead. They even do a boozy breakfast!!

We had done few things in Taunton and decided to have lunch saw the Cosy Club on way in, what a place, Greeted well, water on the table straight away, great tasting real food, fantastic service, highly recommended stopping by here

Very poor service even though it didn't seem to be especially busy. We had to wait 15 minutes before anyone came to our table to take our order. Our food finally arrived 30 minutes later but we still didn't have the water we ordered. My wife's roasted cauliflower was quite nice but my sesame salmon was overcooked and the skin was burnt and bitter. We asked for the bill but after waiting fruitlessly for another 10 minutes I went and paid at the counter.

I don't like doing negative reviews but sorry, honestly is important. Lovely welcome from the hosts, and our waitress was good for the most part. The food, how disappointing. We had a couple of drinks and some olives while we chatted. Olive were lush, but I guess they came out of a tin or vac pack? Pint and a glass of wine came, glass of wine went back as there was lippy on the glass. (Wine just poured into a new glass, not a fresh pour either) We ordered sour dough bread and butter, prawns on toast, fried halloumi, arrancini, and bang bang cauliflower. Everything was so salty! I mean everything. The bread had a salt crust, the butter with it had a generous handful of sea salt too. The Halloumi was over deep fried, the arrancini was also over deep fried. The bang bang cauliflower was not coated and fried, which to me was strange, as it's always been that way when I have had it before. Jo said the prawns were nice but really didn't need the huge hunk of toast. We had a bottle of wine as well. £84 was a price tag that really didn't match the quality or quantity of our experience. The waitress did ask us if everything was alright, but didn't really wait for an answer. Will go back for a drink but deffo not the food. For a hugh street chain, this really should have been a much better experience. Wish we had gone to Nobregas for tapas........

Great GF and VG menu - the green risotto and vegan cheesecake were amazing! Very easy to book a reservation online too.
