Went for a salted caramel frappe, not too busy but had to wait over 15 minutes to get served because they forgot my order, 3 people that came after me got their drinks before me and when I asked about my drink not only she gave attitude but also didn’t apologise for the delay. Got no issues waiting for my drink when is busy but not when staff is chatting and they only started doing my drink when the lady at the till asked them about it. Also the drink is terrible, it could be anything but salted caramel.

I DID NOT RECIEVE THIS DELIVERY PLEASE REINBURSE MONEY

Friendly staff and efficient service

A lot of the coffee was spilled and one of the bags was soaking wet at the bottom. I am not happy with the order.

Ate in. Food served in bags coffee in paper cups, clearly couldn’t be bothered with the washing up. Extremely slow service

Uncleared tables, had to clear my own. and both the toilets, were disgusting, I decided not to use them. The man coming out in front of one adviced me not to go in. So I didn't. On the up side the coffee was good and flapjack the girl who served was friendly. Won't be going back.

Ordered two hot chocolates, which were fine. Lady who served us was polite. However, we had to clear a table to sit at, as apparently no one was collecting the dirty cups etc. There were plenty of free tables (we counted 9) ,but none had been cleared! We were further disturbed by the staff, who were occupying themselves with dusting the lamp shades ABOVE the food and drink prep areas. We watched in astonishment as the dust floated down onto the food, plates, cups etc. Nice! We have both worked in the food industry, and decided at this point, to leave.

Have been here on many occasions, but sadly, this time, Large White Hot Chocolate tasted like hot milk. Will be asking for sufficient syrup next time so I can actually taste it as White Hot Chocolate.

Very disappointed with the cheese and ham toastie. Normally the toasties are covered in yummy melted cheese with a lovely runny cheese in the middle and cut in half. This one was just two slices of bread ham and a little bit of cheese in the centre. Dry and definitely not worth the price.

Popped in today when it was extremely busy. Queue to the entrance door. I got lovely oat gingerbread late with vegan cream and some mince tarts. The staff were absolutely brilliant. Lady at the cash desk (short red hair) was so bubbly, served everyone super quickly and made it look so easy! She went extra mile each time she served someone and I know it must be a very tiring job. Thank you Costa!

Drinks had spilt and were stone cold. Driver just said sorry they spilt and went off

Worst Costa I've ever been in. The whole place is a "dump". The toilets I don't think are ever cleaned and the whole place smells of urine. The tables are always full of used cups and rubbish because they never have enough staff. Service is slow again because of staffing and I wouldn't say customer service is a priority to them. Definitely go to any of the other Taunton costas, and give this one a miss!

The Barista's skills were poor, and his service attitude was very impatient. It's terrible, what a pity for this location. Never recommend.

I placed my order and delivery time was 11.55 at the latest. But it was soon changed on line to 12.25. I was also missing my lunch which I have contacted you about.

Went in with my grandfather to celebrate Father’s Day on Monday 19th and I can confidently say one of the worst visits to a coffee shop we have ever had, waking in the atmosphere was nothing, the staff could have made up for the lack of entrance atmosphere, but after waiting to be served we had someone that was serving us while in the middle of her conversation with the other 2 members of staff on the counter, to us it felt like they didn’t want our trade. Even while going to the toilet I could tell nobody really wanted to be here the toilets where disgusting and it showed the lack of caring for their customers. Ordering a Cajun chicken rap, a small mocha and a latte, I was hopeful that the barista would brighten the mood up, but with minimal customer contact it gave the impression that she didn’t want to be there, even a fake smile would have made me and my grandfather a tiny bit happy. If if wasn’t for the fact my rap was quite nice this review would have been a 1 star.

I ordered a egg,mushroom and spinach bap,they sent a been and cheese toastie!!! I don't like beans so had to throw it away!!! Really disappointed 😞

Great place to visit for a late lunch far better than other places that I have visited in the past weeks.

Great coffee as always.. Long que which is alright, at collection coffee dumped on the desk, waiting to hear if it was for me or sm1 else.. Turns out it was for me.. a very lidle experience... Weird.. were they tired of serving?? Not sure..

I waited 46 minutes for a driver to be assigned. Two minutes after a driver was assigned my order was marked as delivered. It's not possible to deliver an order within 2 mins. Either Costa took my money and did not hand my order over, or, the driver took my order, marked it as delivered, and kept my order for themselves. Either way, it's effectively theft. Costa doesn't take calls so be careful when ordering here through JustEat.

The food was of a high quality. Drinks were an ideal temperature. The delivery driver was very polite.

The order was incorrect. But the receipt had the correct items on it Luckily they were things that we eat as we didn't have time to re-ordet. . This is very unlike them. But everything has been very good in the past. So I'm confused as to how they could get it so wrong.. On this occasion a bit disappointed.

Bought a tuna melt at 50% off marked price. The marked price in the counter was £4.50 I didn't give it a thought when paying until looking at the receipt had paid the full price. I looked again before raising a query, and the marked price had mysteriously dissipated. The abrupt till operator said that I had picked one up without the 50% sticker . I don't think so that is my last visit in that particular costa . Very poor staff compared with other cost. I believe that this one was a manager which explains it .

want a refund driver just handed it straight over to me trying to hide the fact mosy of the drink was gone cos of spillage didn’t even bother to tell me and leaked everywhere. Refund wanted please

I went in and asked Tina if there was any chance they could reserve table for us on Christmas eve as it was my daughter's 16th birthday, we will try if you are no later then 11am, we arrived @10:30am and wow!! What can I say other ten amazing job was done by Tina and her team banners and table confetti, not just one but 2 tables as there was 11 of us , also table services this really did make my daughter's day something to remember. THANKYOU TINA AND TEAM !!

Friendly staff felt realy welcome in there,can recommend there toasted brown bread,note you need to ask for both sides toasted or you only get one side done as standard.

I came in here a few months ago and it was absolutely shambles, no upstairs area as it was out of bounds and the place just looked terrible but my friends really wanted a frappe so we came in on Friday just gone and wow what a difference. There was a lovely young woman with brown hair, I think her name was Carrie and she told me it was her second day. She was ever so polite and couldn’t be more helpful if she tried. She’s a credit to your team and it’s lovely to see some smiles again

It’s a shame the staff are usually pleasant. However today they were uncaring, too busy chatting about their time off and being on their phone to serve properly. They forgot my cake and when they remembered it was slammed down in front of me and no tray to carry things either. Shortly after a glass was smashed towards a customer with no apology. Mostly the lad with the mullet

Worst service ever, All of staff behind the counter, ignoring the customers. One of stuff ( bold one) had chewing gum drop from him mouth after that pick it up washed his hands and dry his hand to uniform person who took order ok but first person who make the drink walk away leave him alone complete shambles I will definitely complain food and hygiene service to council if cannot operate business don’t open one 22/01/22 saturday 15:35

The staff are all so lovely and polite, also the one way system is good for covid. There drinks are all so good and lots of different options. Lots of seating if you want to sit in otherwise they have take away xx

Coffee and barista were good, but as I approached to order ,the supervisor saw me then walked away from order point and started putting cakes in cabinet and left me for several minutes before coming back to take my order

Lovely hot chocolate sadly very slow to be served in fact was waiting 25 mins..might be an Idea to have more staff on at busy periods... Staff very friendly..

My mother visited this Costa Coffee this morning after having just had her third Covid Booster vaccine. This was the first time my mother has been into Taunton since the lockdown started in 2020, being 86 years old and having severe Costa Cappuccino Withdrawal symptoms… the staff very graciously offered my mother her first Cappuccino of 2021 (yes 11 months into 2021) and tea cake free of charge. This was the most kindest gesture and totally unexpected for both my mother and her accompanying carer. I want to thank everyone at Costa Coffee for taking such good care of their customers!! Above and beyond!

We were kept waiting to order, girl was very off hand. Waited ages for 2 drinks, 2 members of staff making drinks were on a go slow!! Dirty tables everywhere. Glad I wasn't sitting in.

I went in and I have really bad social anxiety. 2 of the staff members where really sweet. The card declined and I had to use change and I kept saying sorry cuz I felt like I was taking too much time and they where sweet about it

Popped in to have a drink with my daughter and was greeted by a very friendly waitress, she welcomed us and politely highlighted the markings on the floor to ensure a safe distance between customers was adhered to while queuing. She then enquired as to whether we were eating in or taking away, we were eating in so she continued to explain to us that eating in now entitled us to 50% off our purchases and once we had completed our order at the till a member of staff would escort us to a table. Our order arrived very promptly to us and was of very high quality. I observed tables being cleared very quickly after customers had left and areas being continuously cleaned. Great team, great Costa.

As a local have been to this Costa cafe numerous times and always had the same experience so stopped going. Staff are very slow at serving - several times I've waited for nearly 10 minutes at lunchtime, cakes are the same factory dross as in all their cafes, coffee is lame and too hot, the usual high street coffee. Downstairs is good for prams while upstairs it's good to get a window seat. Frankly the chance of one of the 4 window seats is the only reason we used to come here. Everything else is that bad, go anywhere else.

Travelled to Taunton from York on 18 November and had a couple of hours to kill in Taunton so popped here for a coffee and muffin. Such lovely staff here - cheerful and genuinely friendly. Brilliant customer service.

We stopped here for a quick cup of coffee this morning and it wasn’t too busy luckily enough, my Dad was able to drive his mobility scooter all the way in right up into the corner until he squashed me! What is it about old people and mobility scooters I guess it could have been worse he could have been in the car!!We had 3 Latte and a medium black coffee which I could of swam about in, the other 3 said the Latte’s are the best ever, unbeatable.Once finished Dad was able to back down the ramp and leave, there was still loads of room and people were very friendly. 4 coffees were £8+ but I can’t remember the exact amount!Staff were friendly, place was just Costa’s nothing exciting!Mum went to loo on different floor which Pop couldn’t attempt.

I always enjoy a Costa Coffee when I am I town, a chance to relax after a shopping, lovely welcoming staff always will to help customers. Food and snack mmm lovely, can recommend it.

The meal deal which is advertised on the 'A' board is extremely misleading. There are two types of cheese and ham toasty, but one is not included in the deal, although both cheddar and ham. The one that is included is clearly second rate, with cheap budget ham and tasteless cheese. The coffee too seemed to be watered down! Not an honest deal at all

Normally great Coffee and service with a smile. Given a 3 star as my last visit there was a member of staff discussing a customer who was still in the building in appropriately and loudly with one of his colleagues. Hopefully my direct feedback is addressed and the review can be amended

While there isn't much to say about the product, it is what it is, and the service was fine....the overall impression of this place is that it's a bit shabby and very overdue for a tidy up. If you don't mind your coffee sat on grubby seats, this is the place for you, other wise I would try one of the multitude of alternatives

As the Costa coffee chain goes this is one of the most friendly and cleanest we have visited. The coffee was as we requested which is a rarity in itself. The place was clean and tidy which is even more of a rarity.

Had the breakfast wrap usually very nice today it was cold in the middle.

I normally try to avoid this place because it is just so horrible. Sometimes, however, one is forced to ‘go with the flow’, as happened yesterday. Unfortunately it was my fifth visit & this visit was no different to the others in terms of the grimey feeling I had when I left. On each & every visit I have needed to use the toilet (believe me if it could have been avoided it would have been) & every time both toilets have been beyond disgusting with the stench & filth absolutely revolting. Yesterday, they were so bad that I don’t believe they had been cleaned for some while. Sadly it is not just the toilets that let the place down, empty tables were filthy which only added to the general uncomfortable, shabby & dirty feel......and it is shabby & dirty, not a pleasant place to sit at all. Only two staff seen whilst I was there, a young lad & young lady who completely ignored us waiting to be served whilst continuing their chat. When we were served we were given our coffee in cups without saucers & we had to ask for them, also not a serviette in sight & again we had to ask. There are clearly no standards there at all which is such a shame as it is in a prime position. Costa, the place needs a complete overhaul & the staff need a rocket up their *****! Sort it out!
