Nice clean restaurant. Lovely coffee and breakfast. Friendly staff.

Just went to be nosey. No seating available so went elsewhere

Service was shambolic. I'm sure they forgot our order when it was obvious people sitting down after us were served well before us!! Same applied to the bar order, also forgotten. Had to fetch our own coffees after waiting 15minutes. Needless to say we will not be returning. A shambles.

The drinks, food and service was excellent. Harriet was especially charismatic and welcoming. Would come again!

Reasons why this is a 0 star place: 1. Dirty utensils 2. Dirty jug of tap water 3. Disgusting hot chocolate 🤢🤮😑 4.Bad toilet lighting 5. Bad service Overall, bad Experience, plenty of other high quality places.👍 But if your looking for an expensive but unhigienic place, then this is it, with poor food and drink quality.

I made plans for dinner at the Cosy Club with my family (who stay local to Lincoln) and we travelled down from Scotland - the manager was exceptional at making us feel welcome and catering to our needs and the staff were incredibly friendly, knowledgable and helpful. The atmosphere was lovely, the setting is stunning, food absolutely delicious and the evening was such a lovely time, I’m not sure I’ll look anywhere else for dinner on my next visit to Lincoln!! Truly truly lovely people who made us feel so welcome, thank you so much and I’ll be back again real soon :)

This place is lovely it has a gluten-free menu with lots of choices, and the burger comes with a bun and was very tasty

Had amazing breakfast and dinner here! Simon was super attentive, Charlotte was so kind and accommodating of my wheat allergy. Blair was great fun and so was our other waiter who name I forget. Thank you team lincoln, you made our visit an awesome one!

Went here for breakfast, the service was absolutely fantastic, and the food was just delicious, I would definitely visit again. The building is just an amazing place to be, there’s so much history to absorb, it’s absolutely fascinating, and very tasteful to the originality of the building.

Visited on a very busy Saturday night. What a glorious restaurant. The decor was fabulous and interesting. The staff were very attentive. They have a gluten free menu which made me feel safe ordering. I've been to so many restaurants where I feel uncomfortable asking questions for my dietary restrictions, so thank you to the Cosy Club for making my dining experience safe and enjoyable. 10/10

We were in Lincoln on Good Friday looking for somewhere to eat. We have visited the Cosy Club in Harrogate and enjoyed it so thought we'd try. We knew it would be busy with it being a BH. On entering we waited to be seen and then asked to sit at a table just to the top of the stairs while a table became available. We waited about 10 minutes and then the man who had seen us said we could stay and eat at this table if that was ok with us (not sure why he didn't just say that straight away) but we would have to go and order ourselves at the bar. That was fine with us so my husband went and ordered. Drinks came after about 10 minutes and we waited in total about 45 mins for food. I wasn't majorly upset with that as knew it was busy but the food was rubbish so added insult to injury. My fish finger sandwich was very sub par. Fish was grey/black and overly fishy and i had about 12 chips. My son had asked for a plain burger with only cheese and bacon on it but it came with some sort of pink sauce on it. He could have sent it back if A - we had seen any staff, and B - if he wanted to wait another 30 minutes so he just ate it, well, some of it. Again he had about a dozen chips and they were cold. My husband had some sort of vegan risotto which he said was really nice but for some reason why do restaurants think that Vegans eat small amounts? There wasn't even enough to feed a small child! Such a shame. Wouldn't go back after that meal.

Ate here as a family of six adults on a busy Saturday night. Service was prompt and friendly. Food was superb and atmosphere was great. Felt well looked after even though they were clearly very busy. Excellent.

While it was a beautiful place with decent food, the service was absolutely terrible. Not only did they constantly keep getting our order wrong/late, nobody checked on us through the meal but were checking on other tables constantly. We were told the things they forgot to serve us on time will be waived off the bill, but they weren't. There's an glaring lack of diversity which made us stand out which might have impacted the service. Its a shame cuz the food was great and the ambience was spot on.

Had a random day of work on Friday after a night out so managed to get in to lincoln for some breakfast 😋 we both love the cosy clubs and all are azing and even though very similar in style all have there own very unique setting. This one is huge and though I forgot to take a before photo of the breakfast it was more to do with how I felt after the night before. Great staff and very welcoming too. I don't normally eat a hash brown but their rosti was really good too.

Good food reasonably quick service even though it was very busy ,overall very enjoyable visit.

Met up with partners daughter and partner for a mother's day treat , very pleasant staff , wandered over to the bar , very good bar staff , sense of humour and drink wise . Table became clear and food ordered from an easily read menu . The food was mouthwatering , well cooked , and presented and good portion size . Really tasty . We shall return .

Staff are absolutely lovely. They go above & beyond to make sure you are well looked after. As someone who has an allergy the attention to detail to make sure there’s no cross contamination is second to none! Thank you for a lovely Mother’s Day brunch!

Beautiful building and the food was delicious, however my mums dog stepped on glass which was under the table, resulting in him bleeding and the waitresses on shift not giving it much attention.

A beautiful old building, very atmospheric. We came for 2 for 1 cocktail, and they were excellent.

Gorgeous food, great attentive staff. Beautiful surroundings. That it that you can take your dog in there. But, my poor dog cut his foot and mouth on smashed glass under the table. My son who was ordering up at bar, was surprised when I came to ask for tissues and placed 9 pieces of glass to woman behind bar. ‘Oh sorry about that’ I continued to pick glass up till it was safe. No one apologised or came to sweep. Disappointed is an understatement. Won’t go there again.

Massive cafe and bar. Loads of staff. Great food and service. The old corn exchange building is beautiful.

Visited for the first time today. It was heaving! It was a bit of wait for the food but not long considering how busy the place was. My order arrived and it was the wrong order. How it was dealt with it was perfect, they couldn't have done more. They offered to remake my partners meal while getting what i originally ordered ready, or keep what was served and the cost waived. I opted to keep the meal I was served so we weren't waiting. Things can go wrong sometimes but how it's dealt with is what counts. Great service, my partner had the dirty chicken burger which I will be having next time. Mac and cheese fritter was out of this world. I had the sesame salmon which tasted lovely but I will try the salmon fishcakes at some point too 😁 Charlotte and Harriet couldn't have been more helpful. My complimentary drink (strawberry shrub mojito) did make up for it too. Great place to eat.

Lovely place, very spacious, well decorated. I liked the atmosphere. Food in general was good. I had the beef and bacon croquet as a starter, which was great. For main, I had the 7 oz fillet steak. I am a fan of rare steak and to be honest I have had better experiences. For dessert I had an Irish Coffee, it was a long time since I had a proper one, this one was perfect. Overall a great experience, a recommendation to go to.

Arrived at 13.20 and finally got told there was a 10 minute wait and to go to the bar have a drink and come back in 10 mins.We did and queued again for a table. We had another long wait for the waitress to take the order. At 2.00 I went over to the waitress who was clearing tables and said we were in a hurry she said the food would be 10 to 15 minutes. We had to be somewhere in 20 mins so we cancelled the food and left. Twice we have tried to get in here before we won't be trying again.

Not my cup of tea. I'm more the small cosy pub kind of person. Too big, cold and no atmosphere. However, to be fair, it was quiet so may be different at busy times.

A warm friendly welcome from Simon when we arrived. Tom served us in the same friendly manner. The food was probably the best meal we have had in Lincolnshire for a very long time. Amazing setting in the hart of Lincoln. Would highly recommend.

I really wanted to love this place as I was taken here for my birthday. Sadly we were left waiting for over an hour with a dirty jug of water to stare at. Finally, when the meal came after checking twice where it was, it was very disappointing. The fishcake was full of pepper to the point it was overpowering. The wilted browned rocket was covered in flakes of sea salt. The poached egg was cooked nicely. The fishcakes were over done. The staff are pleasant.

Went in for breakfast Ordered tea and coffee after around 20 minutes no tea or coffee arrived I asked the so called waitress how long I had to wait She forgot to order it The staff including the management need some lessons in customer care Definitely will not be returning

A great way to revitalise an historic building. Great food and service. Order the Butcher's Brunch if you're hungry!

a great place, we visited it in Birmingham and Lincoln. maybe the only annoying thing is that waiters keep asking if we are ok every few minutes 🙂

We came here for coffee on a Saturday. No one came to take our order so we had to go to the bar to do so. It took a good 40 mins to receive our coffee because there was only one coffee machine. It’s just not good enough. You’ve got a lovely restaurant and you clearly make great coffees. All you need is more coffee machines and you’d retain more customers. There were at least three other tables complaining about the service on coffee.

Been here a couple of times now. Lovely venue with very striking decor. Great service and the food is really nice. I like to try something new every time we go and would thoroughly recommend going here for a meal out!

Great place, love the decor. Food was really good, I would recommend the classic English breakfast. The only thing that let it down was I felt as though the waitress was rushing us out. Other than that I would recommend this place.

Waited almost an hour after arrival for food.

The food was nice. Me and my friend ordered small plates and mains together, so we waited a bit too long. I'm a tiny person, but needed 2 courses to actually feel enough. Therefore, I think, for average dinners, the portion will be a bit small if you only want to have one course. Went there in the period when they did 'order 2 cocktails, get the other 2 for half price' or something like that (can't remember); but it was quite a good deal. Their cocktails were nice, enough to keep the conversation going. Staff were nice and happy to explain to you whatever you didn't know, yet it was quite hard to get their attention sometimes.

Good food and attentive staff, the setting is unique and worth going for alone. Not sure I'd go back tho, it was a bit too expensive for what it was.

Went for a birthday brunch and was not disappointed. Restaurant wasnt busy but made a booking online which was easy and made for a quick arrival. Food was served in quick time and was delicious as always. Server (sorry didn't catch his name) was super friendly and even let us have a hot drink on the house as a birthday treat! Caters well for vegan and gluten free diners but was needed for us. Will definitely be returning!

We went for a family meal over Christmas. The experience started badly! Whom we assumed was the manager who sat us was extremely rude regarding allergies! Questioning why someone would be allergic to something, this made us feel uncomfortable from the start. When we sat another lady came, who again said she was management again started to be clearly rude regarding allergies! As she walked off she was over heard saying "oh for god sake" to another team member! Here is where it gets better! We had the most amazing waitress ! She couldn't do enough, very cheery and made us all feel welcome! She Is the main reason why we decided to give more stars as this should have been a 1! We obviously left her a large tip which she was extremely greatful for. Food was lovely and the building is great ! Just a shame the 2 hosts who said they were managers where rude, unwelcoming, and we were clearly a problem for them! A massive thank you to our waitress !

We have been to cosy club multiple times,since they opened in Lincoln.We had a good experience till today.We went for a brunch with family today and the service was not great with multiple items missing from their menu and we couldn't even get a coffee after waiting for 40 minutes!! We finally had to ask them to cancel the drinks order and left.Food wasn't great as well and the standards are no where near previous levels.Wouldnt recommend cosy club in Lincoln to anyone now.

We booked for the breakfast menu and it didn't disappoint. The portions were great, everything was cooked nicely and the service was really friendly and welcoming. The place is also beautifully decorated and in a lovely area with lots of coffee shops and a cinema.

Lovely food and drinks really enjoyed those. Member of staff we had serving us was too OTT and made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. Brought the bill over. Stood over us and waited for us to Sortout our cash (never had that happen before) felt very rushed and uncomfortable as we had to sort it out right there right then. And then asked if he could count it?!?! Right there. made us feel like criminals. Awful service from this individual. Never complain. Never write reviews. But felt I had to say something as never been treated like this before. We’d been travelling all day so wasn’t all dressed up. I feel if we had of been this wouldn’t have been an issue. Don’t judge a book by its cover as I can very much afford to dine in this restaurant.

Christmas festive menu food was delicious. Couldn’t have asked for nicer food. Small problem with the bill/deposits but sorted by the manager. Overall a great night out.

Great experience and one of the best restaurants in Lincon. I had the American pancakes as a stack of 3, but they were only just enough, so I would recommend 6 pancakes if you’re feeling hungry. Our waiter was so friendly and seemed happy to be there, unlike some other restaurants I’ve been too. Especially at Christmas the decorations and food have an extra festive pizazz and the Chocolate Moose was one of the best I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend as a family outing or a lunch with old friends.

We had a significant wait between starters and main but a shout out to Charlotte a lovely young lady. Very professional who sorted out the problem. Would return there again

It would be nice if customers here realised that they don't need five seats and three tables per couple but the staff managed to find suitable space for me and my daughter regardless. I absolutely adore this place. It's not one I visit often as its a proper treat but when I want a gorgeous lunch I know to hit this place up! I come for the sea bass and have had two variants, which I assume is a seasonal change, and I love them both. I don't drink alcohol when here but the coolers are divine. Seeing the smartly dressed staff and the beautifully decorated interior really just feels lovely, I never rush to leave this place. Also high five to whoever brought the googly eyes, you made my daughter giggle 😃

Had the risotto, very tasty, bit small, the herb chicken as an extra not worth it. Burger also very good, fries average and coleslaw but dry.

A large eating place which is nicely furnished. Food was badly cooked with the fish overcooked and potatoes mushy. Mentioned this to the server twice who had no idea how to respond. Over priced and not recommended.

Dreadfully slow service. Went in for breakfast - there were eight other customers already there, so definitely not busy (huge restaurant), and it was 15 minutes before anyone approached me to take my breakfast order. When I asked how long it would take for my breakfast to be ready, was told it would be 20 minutes. I left. Hate to see what it is like when busy!

Great for a family birthday celebration mid week when visiting son at University. The food was excellent, a fantastic setting and great service. Certainly one to try if in Lincoln.

Fast, courteous and efficient service in a really impressive setting. Popped in for brunch and we both had the dirty breakfast butty, which was good value although we both found the bacon jam a bit too sweet for our taste.

visited for lunch whilst visiting our son at uni, Michael who greeted us on arrival was and excellent host. Micheal seated us as quickly as possible during a busy period, taking our order and ensuring we were well looked after. I would definitely recommend eating here, the staff (especially Michael) and the food were both fabulous and will be calling in again when we are next in Lincoln
