Cosy Club in Cardiff

The best service I have ever had at a restaurant. Oz made sure that we had everything we needed and had great attention to detail the whole night. Lovely seat by the window and there was no waiting for food or drinks. Everyone was very friendly and would definitely come back because of this!

Had a really love lunch at this cosy club with my Nan for an early birthday meal for her. I don’t review places as often as I should but wanted to give a shoutout for the service (the food was delicious as well)! My Nan can be a slower and confused but the waitresses were so patient and kind and it was really appreciated. I wish I took their names so they could get properly thanked but yes just wanted to say thank you for a lovely experience for both of us. As someone who works in hospitality myself I come across many colleagues who make it obvious they don’t care and can be quite rude to elderly customers but the waitresses we were lucky to have today genuinely seemed like they were happy and respectful to customers. Thank you for a great experience and look forward to my next visit!

Went here for an evening meal Starters were nice but slfrozen stock Took orders then came back 45 mins later to inform us they had ran out of what we ordered Brought normal fries instead of sweet potato- then tried to charge us extra for sweet potato Forgotten items on the order.... Overall organisation non existent Food is mediocre at bst Nice atmosphere for drinks.avoud for food

Stopped for late breakfast. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Ordered Full English and Butcher's Brunch, OJ, tea and latte. Delicious, went down a treat. Sat outside in the sunshine which was lovely, no wait and food out promptly.

Muy decepcionado con nuestra visita familiar por el cumpleaños de mi esposa, en primer lugar nos recibió una señora a la llegada diciendo que los baños estaban fuera de orden (seguramente esto no está permitido) y podíamos utilizar los baños públicos de al lado, pedimos nuestras bebidas sin ningún problema, luego pedimos nuestra comida, fui por el panko bacalao con papas fritas, mi hijo los niños hamburguesa y mi esposa el panko pechuga de pollo y una porción lateral de aros de cebolla, la comida volvió. En primer lugar me decepcionó con el tamaño de la porción mía por £ 20 y cuando se probó una papa frita resultó entonces ser duro, mi hijo dijo que sus papas fritas estaban frías, así que las envió de vuelta solo por un minuto o dos más tarde se enviaron de nuevo (obviamente solo poner en el microondas) mi esposa también dijo después de que sus papas fritas estaban frías, el dinero que cobran por la comida que esperaría que la comida sea de alto nivel, me quejé con el gerente que se disculpó y nos dio un descuento, desafortunadamente volvería a visitar incluso después de eso.

La primera visita me sirvieron un plato de lubina tailandesa apenas caliente, la segunda vez la empanada de hamburguesa estaba delgada y cocinada a un crujiente (ni cerca de £ 17 . 50 's valor de hamburguesa). Bonita decoración.

Nice service and setting , but the coronation chicken burger was lacking in the chicken department , a 5mm sliver of chicken , that did not fill the bun , really disappointed , one half of my burger was all mayo and salad in a chewy bun

Busy Loungers Restaurant in Cardiff Bay. The menu is small compared to other Loungers but was fine. I had the Spanish Chicken which was tasty. The service was swift, which was good as we were off to a show.

We went for breakfast on Mothers Day a party of 6adults and 4 children not the best experience 3 of the adult breakfasts arrived COLD it wasn’t even busy ! So we all ate at different times which was disappointing value for money not the best Service from front of house was very good waiting staff were helpful and apologetic but while mistakes can happen there is no excuse for food being cold Don’t plan to return here

Very disappointed with the meal, booked before seeing a show. Service took over 90 minutes for mains (no starters). Out of 4 meals, only one served reasonably. Steak served cold with no steak knife, no chips with the fish and chips(!) (no check back on the table to correct this), vegan burger cooked to an inch of its veggie life. No sauces offered. Had to chase to offer some money for the bill. Never previously had to offer less than the bill but this was exceptionally poor. Always enjoyed cosy club but given the price of meals now, would recommend saving your money and have a better meal and service at Wetherspoons 2 minutes away.

Lunch for 10 on match day Eng v Wales 2025. 6nations. Delicious food, interesting & tasty drinks, great service and we even got to watch the majority of the Ire v Italy game on huge screens.

Arrived at 6:30, both my partner and I really enjoyed our Cosy Club Burger & Prawn Massaman Curry, complimented by great service by Nathan who was welcoming & informative.

I have never felt robbed like I did yesterday at dinner. We arrived for dinner at 18.15, only 2 other tables in the restaurant.... our food took almost half an hour to come out of the kitchen. We ordered a starter of garlic prawns 3 prawns for £8.75... a water £5.10 and a side of potatoes which were 4 new potatoes cut in half with a little parmesan £5.25!! The pasta heated in the microwave was dry. A complete rip-off. I had eaten there before but last night was unspeakable. I do not recommend it.

Nice restaurant at Cardiff Bay. Quite extensive and impressive interiors. We had flat white, chai latte, pancakes with bacon and chorizo hash. Decent quantity and reasonably priced.The staff were warm and friendly.

Cozy club has a unique decor style for a chain. The food is really good quality for the price you pay. The lounge/ bar area, where you can still order food to, is dog friendly. They provide dog bowls for your furry companions.

We had breakfast with our 4 year old. Manuel gave us great service, and we really enjoyed the food. The pricing wasn't bad either, given the current climate!

Wonderful after theatre meal on Saturday, it was quite busy but we were served very quickly by Alyah, who was amazing, very friendly and helpful, she couldn't do enough for us. It was a lovely meal and we would definitely come again. It was a bit noisy but that was due to it being a rugby day 😉

Went here with two friends after a watching a good play done badly and we needed cheering and we were. Food was all delicious, hot, beautifully presented, a great atmosphere and really fantastic service from a friendly, patient and efficient young lady called Aliyah. We needed a smile. Shall go again.

I have been going to Cosy for years and tonight's was disappointing , £20 for tiny portion or fish n chips and a tiny dessert. Hungry when I left. Also felt a bit forgotten for drinks getting the bill.

Extremely disappointed, we booked a table before our show at the WMC we waited over an hour and 20 minutes for our food, in the end we had to leave without eating as our food still hadn’t arrived and our show was starting. We have always enjoyed Cardiff town centre cosy club aswell as the one in Bath so this was a huge let down.

Absolutely appalling, had a table booked for 17:15pm ordered food and still sat waiting at 18:30pm after being told at 18:15pm it would be 5 minutes, we had a show to attend at 7pm so we all left hungry, they could have told us when we first arrived there was a long wait on food which would have given us the option to go elsewhere!

We went tonight on Valentine’s Day. The service was particularly good. All 3or 4 staff members who served us were fantastic but one stood out a young man who’s still studying don’t remember the name but vary curly hair maybe blonde. He was absolutely fantastic. We’ve been before and will definitely be back. The set menue was definitely worth the money.

I love the art deco style of the restaurant but I hate the loud pop music that's on in there! It felt like a nightclub. I don't really understand why it would be decorated so beautifully but music of that area wouldn't be played there to complete the atmosphere. The service was lovely, nothing to complain about but nothing extra special. The food looked good on paper but I just find some meals incredibly overpriced. £9.50 just for smashed avocado on toast (anything else like tomatoes or egg cost extra) is crazy money to me! And it certainly didn't impress me. I've been to Cosy Clubs a few times and the food has been alright, sometimes nice but I can't say it matches the cost. The atmosphere is always the same. Lovely to look at but horribly loud and overwhelming.

Went here for my my sons birthday as he is in Cardiff uni it was a last minute type of visit but so glad we did food was really nice and everyone enjoyed nothing was too much trouble for the servers with the food or drink special mention to the lady with short hair sorry didn’t get your name 😂 but went above and beyond even to bringing out the birthday cake and some plates for us to have some everything was prompt with drink orders and food all arrived hot and very tasty.atmosphere was lovely even other people wishing my son happy birthday much to his embarrassment 😂 we will definitely be visiting again thanks to you all 👏🏻👏🏻

Menu is limited. Very over inflated prices; chicken breast and chips, pea tagine soup £32. Badly cooked and usual customer service response. Switch servers to buffer complaints. Never again. Save your money. Eat at home.

Unfortunately slow service and a moody waitress let the restaurant down today. Ordered food when I came in and then waited ten minutes without being asked if I wanted to order a drink and when I questioned it I was told that it would be longer because it's 'only been 10 minutes'. Oddly the waitress was sat at a table with some random guy talking and eating herself. The restaurant was pretty much empty and yet I had to wait another 10 minutes before getting my food which meant the fries were sitting there for ages before the sandwich was ready. It's a shame because it used to be a nice place. The food was good and as such you get two stars but alas only just

Ordered the lunchtime special , pasta with prawns in spicy tomato sauce. Just FOUR people , including us ( 2 ) in the restaurant but it took FORTY minutes to arrive. Had to ask how much longer it was going to take. Ridiculous. Certainly will not go there again even , if it's almost empty. Much better service upstairs at Zizzi and better selection of dishes.

Great service, delicious food, free glass of prosecco for a birthday, who can ask for more! I have always been so pleased with the dining experience when visiting this resteraunt and it was the same again. The Massaman cauliflower and Massaman prawns were very good. Sophie served us and another lady whose name I don't know but they were great. Will see you again!

Me and my partner was looking around for a place to eat and thought let’s try cosy club never eaten here before our first impressions walking in was wow such a relaxing atmosphere and the lady on the host was extremely friendly and happy she showed us to out table to witch she came over with some water and actually poured it for us witch was very kind of her, she came back over to do drinks and then one of the managers came over to food order witch we both had starters the beef croquettes witch where full on flavour followed by my partner having the ox tail pasta and I had the cosy club burger it was tasty and we finished with a apple tart each witch was recommended to us by the manager and she did not disappoint… We had an amazing meal the service from when we arrived to the time we left was outstanding and professional to the managers that served and the server named manual we will be back to try your evening menu Thank you all for such amazing service

Very nice place with great atmosphere and decor. Food was good but nothing amazing. Service was pretty slow and when we went it wasn’t super busy, so we expected faster service. The wait staff were all wonderful and very friendly.

I was there yesterday, Boxing day, and they were closing early. Even though a few people from my party were running late, the staff were super patient and really went the extra mile to make sure everyone had a great time. They were really friendly, professional, and got all of our orders right. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Had the fish finger sandwich, lettuce inside was brown and the fish itself was beyond dry. Wouldn't recommend at all.

Came with friends for a pre-show meal for a 50th birthday which wasn’t even acknowledged. Arrived early for our 5.45pm booking. Staff were friendly but service did not feel genuine and we waited far too long for everything. Over half hour for drinks and more than an hour for just mains. We had explained at the time of booking and again on arrival that we had to leave at seven for the theatre and still our food didn’t turn up until 6.50pm. Spoilt the meal as we rushed it and were anxious to leave on time. Food tasted nice but we didn’t even get all five mains served at the same time. Two dishes came out, then another two a few minutes later and finally mine a few minutes later again. Was so rushed we didn’t really enjoy it. Struggled to get anyone’s attention for a second drink. Staff stood huddled in groups rather than attending to customers. Table behind us left without all of them eating and they arrived before us. Definitely do not recommend for a pre-theatre meal. Two stars are given solely for the food and because they offered a gluten-free option for my friend. Offered a measly 10% off our bill but spoilt what should have been a really nice celebration.

A huge thank you to Team Cardiff Bay. Over the last year, we have prevented each other from going (everybody was so tempted and I can see why!) so that we could make last night such a special occasion. We have a reunion every 17 November and we wanted to spend this year’s reunion on the Bay. We had the best time. Food was perfect, really friendly waitresses add we just so enjoyed every moment. I have been to 14 Cosy Clubs and this will always be one of my favourites. 10/10.

We visited before going to a show in WMC. The show started at 7.30. We booked a table for 5.30. It was very, very busy when we arrived - lots of children- which seemed a bit odd for a Saturday evening 🤷🏼‍♀️ We were seated and our order taken. At 5.55 we were told that there was an 'issue" in the kitchen and our food would be 15 mins. Our food finally arrived at 6.40. Everyone that served us was delightful and very apologetic. We were given free drinks because we had waited so long - which was a nice gesture. But - we don't live in Cardiff and the only time we would be likely to visit would be before a show - and unfortunately this put us off from a return visit. We rushed our food and had to run to get to the WMC in time.

Uno de nosotros tiene una alergia al gluten y el personal estaba bien informado y era extremadamente servicial. La dama principal que esperaba en nuestra mesa era simplemente encantador se unió a nuestro humor y era tan agradable. Lamentablemente no obtuve su nombre. La comida era genial también! La reserva estaba a nombre de Morgan y era a las 3. 30 .

What a wonderful evening, brought my elderly grandma for a drink at cosy club Cardiff Bay and were treated like royalty. The manager on duty , a stunningly beautiful polish lady called Agnes made us feel very welcome and looked after us all evening and even danced for us. Will definitely come again

Bit of a frosty reception if I'm honest. Was really surprised as I go to the one in Cardiff Saint David's and they are so polite/kind there. Felt like they were looking down their noses at us. Was begrudgingly served. Quite upset

Went to dinner with my mum and sister before going to see Wicked. We had such a lovely meal, despite them being very busy, all the staff were so friendly and approachable. They were very careful with my sister's allergy and did not make us feel like a burden for it. Very lovely team working at this cosy club!

Came here for a pre show dinner with my family. What a delightful place, amazingly decorated, with a a warm cosy feel. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and so patient, didn't feel rushed at all. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Such a lovely experience. Will definitely go back there again. Really nice venue, staff friendly and drinks good. Menu was okay, had the brunch. It took a while to come out and was not very warm and small portion for the price.

Table of 4, coffee came out, waited another 10 minutes for tea. 2 peoples food came put, waited another 10 minutes for the other 2, food ok but lukewarm. Don't recommend.

Fabulous food,I had small plates of smoked bacon and pulled croquettes, tenderstem broccoli with yogurt and chemoulah with flatbread. One of the best meals and tastiest I've had for a long while. My friend had buttermilk chicken which was very moist and tasty. Chai latte was lovely. Miso custard tart was out of this world. Definitely one of the best of the loungers in Cardiff for menu. Service was good, long time to clear in between main and dessert though. Will be back!

I go for coffee most days and Boo , Agnes and many other ladies that serve there are fantastic Very welcoming can never do enough Breakfast Eggs Benedict and Royale are always delicious Well done to all there

Recently attended for an evening meal with friends. Although the service is always great, one of our plates was lacking in portion size given its price tag, to which we were thoroughly disappointed! Everyone else’s food was fantastic and we were thrilled.

Nice place for a cocktail, atmosphere was lively and warm inside. Recommend the english garden cocktail, nice and refreshing balance to the alcohol. Funky theme inside

Taking any big groups of people is NOT a recommendation if you were hoping for fresh and tender food as well as a short waiting period between ordering and receiving your meal - Atmosphere got the night setting well.

Cup size of coffee has been drastically reduced for same price. And people wonder why restaurants are struggling. I for one would notfrequent these establishments. Talk about greed culture.

We love visiting the cosy club, the food is always brilliant and the staff are amazing, super friendly and polite. Even though all the food was great, the highlight was the apple tarte, it's definitely worth the wait whilst it's cooked! Can't wait to return in the near future.

Outstanding in every way. All 14 of us agreed that the ambience, service, food was excellent from arrival to departure. Our son’s 18th birthday is now a very happy memory thanks to the entire team here (they all happily skipped to the kitchen together at one point 😆). We were presented with a complimentary drink upon arrival and the cake we brought was offered to be taken care of whilst we ate (every need was pre-emptied). We weren’t hurried away for the table to be returned after 2 hours. We were all delighted in every way. Our waitress was ‘a class above’; a great ambassador for the venue. Scarlet exuded a calm professionalism in every interaction, she managed our table of 14 with charm and ease, many of us remarked on her measured approach; her capability was ‘the icing on the cake’. Ask for a black coffee & got only half a cup , the breakfast was warm not hot like it had been sitting around for bit before being bought to the table

What a treasure. I'd originally booked somewhere else nearby for me and my partner but I had been a bit let down. Made a last minute booking at cosy club and turned up almost immediately afterwards. The front of house staff honestly couldn't have been friendlier or more attentive. Food is delicious (a genuinely good vegan burger - and they were happy to swap the vegan cheese for 'proper' cheese!), decent selection of beers on tap. The decor is absolutely wonderful - the whole place has been fitted out beautifully and has a real atmosphere about it. If you're a vegetarian like me and wondering where to go for dinner when you're in Cardiff bay, I cannot recommend this place enough.

Just remains a great concept. Wherever you are in the United Kingdom, the quality is always excellent and the service optimal.

Stopped in for breakfast (9am-11:45am), I had the pancakes. They were lovely! I had the berry pancakes, there’s a lot of berry compote so be sure you like stuff like that before you order them. Service was fast, the staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The pancakes were great and the orange juice is freshly-pressed and amazing (however, you pay £5.70 for the privilege). I’d stop in again!

A fabulous experience. Staff were all wonderful, very polite and accommodating. Food was served very quickly and was very enjoyable. I love the decor and the seats were so comfy. Unfortunately the toilets were out of order when we visited but hopefully they will be back working soon.

Lovely place for drinks and food. The vibe was great, lovely 20s theme and fantastic cocktails. The strawberry Cosmo was my favourite but we also tried the peach and elderflower spritz and the star martini. Food was a bit hit and miss. The arancini were to die for. Highly recommend. My steak was great, cooked exactly how I asked with good flavour. Fries were also good. Unfortunately the chicken dish was very dry and couldn't finish all of it. The server was very quick to apologize and offered a free dessert which was a nice touch. Great service from him, a tall lad with curly blond hair- friendly, attentive, and quick. We tried the semifreddo and mousse for dessert. Highly recommend both! Will come back next time to try new food and drinks.

Great afternoon. I booked a table for 9 people for 3.30 as it was Sunday. we were lucky it was quiet, so they didn't rush us to our table. the staff were really friendly and the food was great 👍

Me and my partner were looking forward to a lovely meal at the cosy club in cardiff bay. I pre booked and were shown to our table. Drinks and food order taken which arrived quickly. My partner had Spanish Chicken and he said it was lovely. I had steak and i asked for a medium to well done fillet steak. It arrived and looked fine but when I started eating it I found it to be more than medium to well. It was more like well done. I gave some to my partner to try as we ALWAYS do and he said it was dry too. The waitress came up and asked if everything was OK. I said it was over cooked and she just said "sorry about that, I'll pass it on" . I left the rest of my steak, about half of it. Had desert and then the bill came. I asked the waitress to do something about the steak charge and she said her manager had said it would stand as I had already eaten some of it. She went back to ask and then the manager came over. She had taken £11 ish off to cover what I had eaten and no more wod be done. Over all the meal was nice but the steak was very dry and left me very disappointed.

Great atmosphere and really good food. Staff were lovely also! Food arrived quickly and was at a really good standard. More than I expected.

7 of us came for brunch. We thought we’d booked but it turned out we hadn’t! Luckily the staff were very accommodating and managed to find a table for us. We were asked if anyone had an allergy and when we said one of us did we were allocated a senior member of staff specifically to look after them! None of us had ever experienced this high level of customer care before and it was extremely impressive! We all enjoyed our meals, particularly those that chose the smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and avocado on sourdough . A couple of people weren’t keen on the avocado and pea mint crush which was on the veggie breakfast and seemed a bit out of place as it was cold. The baked beans were also only tepid which was a bit odd as everything else was piping hot and delicious. Really good value for money and excellent customer care. Would definitely return.

The best thing about this place was the buttermilk chicken. The food overall was good but this chicken was the best dish.

Had a lovely steak dinner here in a very cosy atmosphere. An initial issue regarding my steak being delivered not as warm as I would have liked, was quickly resolved by the lovely Agnes. A real shining star with customer service apparent to the fore, in her approach to her job. She offered to return both our meals till the wrong was righted although we were happy just to get a fresh steak. Without any prompting a deduction was automatically applied to our bar bill to cover our inconvenience! Both meals we received were absolutely delicious and with very good portion size! Would certainly recommend you give Agnes and her team a try!

Excellent service Popped in for a light bite and a few drinks late afternoon. From the greeting we received on our arrival to ordering from the bar staff . Everyone was spot on super friendly and welcoming . Nothing was too much trouble . Lovely atmosphere, can’t recommend this place enough. Clearly the management train and promote a great culture within this organisation

The staff are super professional and attentive, food is good, and overall a great place to go for brunch. We went as a group of five and unfortunately my fiancée found two bits of plastic in her food (it was otherwise tasty and well presented). It was likely just a mistake in the kitchen - which happens. The way the staff managed it was commendable. Very apologetic offering a replacement dish. My fiancée wasn’t hungry after eating half of the dish and finding the bits of plastic so the staff removed the price of the dish and her coffee from the final bill. We also felt confident the staff took the situation seriously and would take steps to avoid something like this happening again for future customers - which is all you can ask for. So we definitely recommend and would go back in future. Thanks again to the great staff. Mistakes happen and the way you reacted to it was really spot on 👏🏽

Despite being a regular for many years, we won’t be retuning. Spent a fortune the other week, steak was practically rare despite well done, and the service shocking. Immediately followed up complaint via email as we wasn’t happy with response in the restaurant and they never bothered to reply or compensate. Disgusting. Zero customer care!

Amazing service. We went with family and my 9 month old son. He and I both can’t have dairy and he is obviously a new eater so he’s messy! Not only was the kids menu suitable but we were taken care of brilliantly by the manager Agnes who wrote on a menu what I could have so it was clear. All the staff were lovely with us and especially the little one and very good humoured about the mess. The food was great too with good options despite the allergy. I had a delicious steak followed by a dreamy vegan semifredo. Thank you so much Agnes and team we will definitely be back.
