I usually love costa but I think they charged me too much for hot chocolate today I don’t have cream or marshmallows but was charged £4.25 and the tables were all full of trays of uncleared tables. Ive been on Costa website sites to see prices and been Many times and never been charged this much before.

There are many Costas in Huddersfield but this is easily the best. Not the best time to be out with the pandemic but they had very strick measures in place to protect people so ignore anyone saying 'oh they wouldn't let me move tables' its for your own safety. The friendliest staff in any cafe I've visited!

I love the cinema and go at least 4 times a month. Staff here are usually really nice , one chap in particular is amazing, kind, courteous, goes out of his way to help and amazing manners. Downside!! Wish we could buy tickets downstairs, get annoyed with often long queas for tickets as other people buying sweets. Could get fast track ticket but as I use a carer card need to buy them from staff. Often toilets on top floor are filthy as I use disabled entrance to film... I've been in one week and still filthy with same mess week after. Dont think they get cleaned. Staff are the only bonus at this cinema!! Lift shaft which is glass is literally dirty.

This costa is in a good location for the pictures, football ground and the small retail park. The staff are very nice but need one or two manners. We called today and the card machine went down but no apology was made or signs cash only. The cake unit could do with sorting out it’s a little scruffy and the sandwich fridge also needs sorting out. I think in future we will be attending the drive thru a little further up Leeds Rd.

Honestly, drive 5 minutes up the road to the Costa near the yorkshire road. This Costa is awful. Most of the staff are horrendous, I've only ever been served by one lady who was nice. I understand if they're overworked or tired, but don't be rolling your eyes at me and huffing under your breath, disgusting. My job is Customer Support Manager, so I know customer's can be the WORST kind of people ever, hence I know when to appreciate a good one. I'm not a crappy customer. Otherwise I'd not be leaving this review. The staff down here really do have something stuck up their back ........ Not only are the staff awful, they're lazy. The place is dirty, tables never seemingly cleaned. The toilet stinks. Not only are the staff awful and lazy, they're not helpful in the slightest. I came in once, looked really busy, had two tired kiddies with me who were very patient and fine, we were just going to get a drink to take out, my eldest said she would like to sit as she was a little tired. So, I ordered my drinks, and got a little selection of goodies.... I looked around whilst paying thinking "urgh, where am I going to sit", I could see their was the joyful laptop hoggers in house as per usual, sorting their business out on the large tables, yep, 1 guy + a laptop sat on a 5 large seater table, their were several of these people.... So... I pay, tackle the kids with the food + drinks in my hands, obviously struggling and flustered, I kindly asked a gentlemen if he would kindly mind us taking the 4 seater table/chairs, he laughed and said no... so, without causing a scene, moved on to the next, and asked the same question, to be met with "sorry I need the charger", again, shrugging off how rude people of today were (not sexist, the next person was a stuck up woman), moved on, to where it was just an old man, with a 4 seater on his tod, he also refused.... By this point I was getting a little irritated as there was NO WHERE for me to it... the staff whilst this happened just watched, baring mind a very small costa shop, they never once offered any help, or idea's (moving chairs/tables around) they watched and laughed.... I was frigging fuming. I went over slammed my drinks on the womans tray who was watching, dragged 2 single tables across the open shop area, and pulled 4 chairs from OTHER PEOPLES TABLES to mine, with everyone staring... yes of course I had lost the plot at this point... I'm aware I looked a little crazy. The point of the story. Had the staff instantly offered some help, my time at Costa may have been a lot more pleasent! I spent the rest of the time at the table with people giving me weird looks, so my daughter decided to say at a higher level voice than normal "It's rude to stare and give looks", to which I gave her a high five and agreed :) So... main thing here. Don't go to this costa if you don't want to be looked down at. Horrible experience and I'll never be back again.

In most ways just a typical Costa, but the staff deserve extra special mention for their helpfulness.

The usual, reliable range of Costa coffees and treats on offer but I would recommend the friendly welcome and good service at Costa Odeon in Huddersfield :) Free parking on site although it can occasionally be a little tricky to park immediately outside, depending on cinema/stadium events at times.

There are possibly thousands of these coffee shops around in the UK now. From service stations to smart London cafes. All the shops are the same menu wise but the difference is staff and management. Staff at the stadium are based around a mixture of full time to small hour contracts I guess. However the balance of quality staff here is pulling the unit down. I've been in fairly often and yesterday there was lots of children around as it is school holidays. Regardless the staff working at the unit are not portraying a team working together. Some staff are working hard and too many are hiding from work. Someone in management needs to send in a secret shopper. Customers were fed up as I was too, with slow service. Not just slow but too many staff wandering around aimlessly or just talking to each over. The ships sinking and to few don't give a dam.

Situated next to the Football ground it makes it ideal to get a takeout brew for the match. Always ask for mine to be extra hot that way it generally stays worm into the second half. Staff are good and although generally there is a question they clear it quickly.

I always come here after going to the Odeon Newbies's showing to have a natter with friends and feed my baby. I always bring my JOJO Maman portable fabric baby seat as the high chairs are not great for smaller babies (9months and younger). As per other Costas, good coffee, expensive food and good changing facilities. Car parking available.

My partner and I called for a lunchtime latte but ended up waiting almost half an hour to be served. Two people serving at the time were very slow, had no 'meet and greet' experience and couldn't smile to save their lives. With only an hour for lunch, we will try elsewhere in future.

I pop in here often and it's a relaxing place to have a coffee and a read of the newspaper. The staff are an eclectic bunch and all of them friendly and lovely to talk to. Since they've done the place out the decor is fantastic and adds a real touch of class . All in all it's a great spot for a coffee or tea.

I have been going to this particular Costa for 3 years and during that time I've seen staff come and go. But one chap by the name of Phil, who incidentally, in my opinion is their bestest worker and always as a smile on his face and also, makes lovely Flat White!

I frequent Costas almost daily and this one is lovely, polite staff and quick service. Only downside is they tend to run out of ingredients, so I advise having a second option at the ready (understandable as they are rather little in comparison to some others). Always tidy always friendly.

Went to meet a friend for a quick coffee so decided to go to Costa at the Odeon instead of one in the centre of Huddersfield, which we both love very much, but is always extremely busy, particularly at tea time, as is the one on Leeds Road, this one however, was fairly quiet and we were served by a smiling young lady. We were able to sit without being disturbed by lots of noise.

The product is good and priced ok. The cakes are good . If you get there on a good staff day it's a good venue and popular. However get a few student staffs or others who talk over you about their night out or boyfriend or college problems. So then it's cold coffee or a long wait.

Called to Costa on Leeds road huddersfield drive thru ordered a mocha latte and a toffee cooler. We waited 7 mins for our drink as the coolers take a little longer but it was the wrong Cooler. They gave us coffee so I mentioned it n said I asked for toffee so they took it back and not even 30 seconds they handed it back when I went to have a drink it was coffee again. So not just once but they made the same mistake twice.

If you want a nice atmosphere with friendly staff go to costa on Leeds road rather than next to the cinema. Drinks and food are the same but it's more lively in there with an option of sitting outside.

I will start by saying that I work for a rival coffee chain, in a position of middle level authority. Whilst I'll admit my management might not be happy that my hard earned cash is being given to a rival I personally feel it's good business sense to check out the opposition once in a while.Picture this scene if you will. I am sat in the cafe, drinking (not enjoying) my cappuccino whilst feeling all grown up reading my paper. In walks a lady with her son and approaches the counter. The lady on the till, who I already had the misfortune of dealing with earlier is not only the manager, according to the badge she's wearing, but also seemingly unable to smile. The lady asked for a latte and a hot chocolate for her son. "What size?" came the response. "er, I'm not sure, I think I'll have a grande please." (Now, for the benefit of those who don't frequent coffee houses often, she had inadvertently asked for a medium but in Starbucks speak, not you would think, the end of the world.) What happened next not only shocked me to the point of speechlessness, but caused the lady, her son and the gentleman stood behind her in the queue to leave briskly. The manager very sharply snapped "This is NOT Starbucks, get out!" Which as I explained earlier, they did.I have worked in the customer service industry for a great many years and whilst I have had my bad days I have never come across anything like this before, nor do I hope to ever come across it again.

Family meal. More bar staff needed and some did appear somewhat stressed. I ordered the rack of ribs, they tasted lovely but were no where near hot enough. Good JD sauce. The corn on the cobs were inedible, boiled within in an inch! My husband enjoyed his beef burger, but overall, for the price of food, it’s nothing special. Most of the party were just ‘erm, it was okay’. Good price on a bottle of red wine and the food came out as we ordered, we they wanted us to pay at the bar due to party size. Main male staff member greeting as we walked in was friendly.

We were so looking forward to our romantic valentine's evening. Sadly the previous reviewer has said most of it for us. Extortionately expensive, to be honest, for actually a less than mediocre meal which was not particularly enjoyable. It was obvious, from the occasional groans, the that something was very very wrong in the kitchen, even though front of house staff attemped to cover the cracks with gracious service. Also, yes it was far too cold. Have had lunch several times in this beautiful building, which have been very pleasant, although they really do need to sort out the heating problem.

After a bracing walk around part of Digley Dam this was an ideal stop off to satisfy healthy appetites. It wasn't particularly busy so my friend and I were fortunate to select a table by the window to sample views of the surrounding countryside that the area is famous for. We both chose the regular Fish & Chips, good value at £12 though smaller portions are available at £9.50. My friend's Side Salad cost £4 which I thought expensive for what he received while a side order of Mushy Peas set him back £2. I thought the drinks were expensively priced, £2.90.for a pint of Fanta Orange but we'd visited for the Fish & Chips and these were delicious so it was definitely worth the effort. The menu is quite extensive so there are plenty of alternatives to satisfy most appetites and palates. A good experience.

We didn’t have much time so rather than go ti RMT Kitchen where our friends said parking is a nightmare, they suggested we hit Toby. We were seated and drink orders were taken and then nothing more happened so eventually I went over to a waitress and ordered the Ultimate Roast Dinner Sandwich for our son (just some carvery stuff in a roll or pud basically), and carvery for the two of us. We went to get it, meat was cold as well as most of the veg, and the sandwich never came. After about 20 minutes we asked for it and it had obviously been forgotten so she rushed off and got us an Ultimate Roast Beef Sandwich which is just some beef and gravy slapped on a roll. Honest misunderstanding so no big deal. We asked for a replacement, she took away the tray, manager showed to to ask about our issue, both said it would be sorted, again nothing for another 20 minutes, and we had to ask yet one more time to get a sandwich that was sloppy, but too hot to touch, and a bowl of cold gravy. Desert was fine, but the custard with the apple pie was again a tongue burner (nuked maybe?). When time to pay came, none of this had apparently discouraged the waitress from asking for a tip. She was lucky we were leaving that day and there to burn off no longer needed GBP so she got wholly underserved 6 quid for her efforts. Overall we lost more time waiting than it would have taken us as per our friends to find parking near RMT Kitchen, and the food was absolutely not worth it.
