Costa Coffee - Peacehaven in Lewes

This is the worst coffee I have ever had in a Costa. Dishwasher not working again so everyone is drinking with take away cups and although the staff are pleasant they certainly don't know how to make a cappuccino!

Kez makes the best Flat white in town! Great staff and lovely people.

Come here quite often, even though there are closer cafes near me. The staff are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is comfortable, without feeling as if you are squashed in by people and tables, meaning I can concentrate if I bring a bit of work or a book with me.

Found it to be scruffy needed a good clean through and some TLC .

Good size to chill out in. A couple of sofas and some comfortable seats. Service is always swift and the staff are polite when we visit here. Tasty bacon rolls and cakes as usual from Costa.

Wrong items were sent but was corrected. Very noisy place, can't really relax there.

Came in the other day, staff were lovely. Blonde lady and guy. 10/10 customer service. Which I have been finding is extremely lacking these days. Very refreshing when customer service is taken seriously being so rare.

I ordered from this branch food and a drink. They delievered the drink but no food, just a note saying to request a refund because they didnt have the food on stock. They could have took it off the website or alerted me so i could place down an alternative. No refund which is disappointing. I am diabetic and had to order again from somewhere else. Want my money back.

Enjoyed a late latte, staff very friendly and happy despite some very difficult customers who think nothingof complaining about nothing, always enjoy coming here 💜

Ordered a delivery through Deliveroo over 40 minutes before they cancel the order. When I spoke to the shop the woman lied to me and told me the machine was broken and then said I was going to come in to order, that’s ok just my problem but I’m just not doing any deliveries in one breath she lies next is she magically works if u go in absolutely appalling and she hung on me !!! So rude Heading to a different coffee shop!!!

Friendly and welcoming staff. The coffee quality has taken a dive since ownership under coca-cola.

My partner and I stopped here on our way back home. The Customer Service was outstanding, I have allergies and they went above and beyond to cater to my needs, being Lactose Intolerant and allergic to dairy it’s hard to be able to eat and drink outside of home. The staff in this particular Costa made me feel at ease, by making sure that every item that my soya latte touched was handled by one person only, the temperature gage was wiped clean with a antibacterial wipe and the tray, coffee jug, glass and spoon all through the dishwasher separate from everything else. The table we sat at was wiped clean and my drink came out separate to my partners to make sure there was no cross contamination. All the staff was friendly and considerate but the 2 ladies called Claire and Daisy were amazing and I will definitely be visiting again. I highly recommend you check it out!

Friendly staff,attentive and good baristas,would benefit from the referbishment program as the decor is looking a little bit tired.

I had the Blueberry Bubble Frappe but bubbles didn't fit up the straw (rating by my 12 year old son)

Visited as needed to kill a bit of time. All good although we had to keep reminding the staff as they had forgotten our cake and croissant.

Came down from London on a job stopped for a coffee to find very friendly and professional staff , Jess happiness is contagious.

Love Costa over any other homogenised US branded coffee shops. I love the beans and seasonal varieties. The only thing that stops this shop getting 5 🌟 is that the staff are constantly rotating - the problem with the FF sector I suppose 🤷🏾‍♂️ That being said the quality of the coffee, cleanliness of the store, and the wonderful they do have make this Costa one of my favourite coffee shops.

SLOOOW service. Was beginning to wonder if I was invisible! 2 staff there. Only me and 1 other customer in the queue. Took a while getting their drinks, but didn't even acknowledge me for an age. Really had me wondering if they thought I was together with the other customer. Friendly enough once they were ready to make my order. I only wanted a tea...

Went to Costa today and I cannot praise Maria and Laura enough! The store was busy yet the girls remained cheerful and professional throughout! They are an absolute credit to your business.

I have been using Costa several times a week for several years now , the staff have always been polite and helpful , I have often seen the staff take abuse from customers and watch them deal with it appropriately,

Used this Costa every day for a good while now. Gone in today, to be told that Costa only accepts card, when I replied I've always paid cash I was snapped and shouted at by a woman with short blonde hair with no name badge. The service was absolutely disgusting and the attitude from both staff not good enough. Think someone needs to inform them that their are plenty of other coffee shops on the a259.

Just coffee and cake done the Costa way. The lady serving us was amazing.

Although the coffee is always great I don't like the ambience in the Peacehaven branch and never have done. It's a bit dingy inside even though it's quite new. The staff are very generic and not bothered about welcoming you properly or trying to enjoy their work, which stands out a mile because they are next door to a Greggs where the staff are very personable and friendly. It would be nice to be able to sit, relax and enjoy the experience more often but compared to many other coffee shops I've been to this place just doesn't have it.

Latte was lukewarm and tasteless. My wife paid for a cream top up - it was supplied from a bottle of milk. Pretty poor.

It's fine. I miss the old staff that knew us & what we liked. It's awkward getting in, with that bloke in the red hat standing in front of the door.

This is my least fancy Costa branch. It was nice and friendly a weeks back which becomes our sunday routine but when they changed their staff it becomes the worst costa. Service is very slow despite there are 3 staffs in the bar, not organize, and so not friendly to customer. Ive been notice too that there is lack of cake display barely nothing at all compare to other Costa branch. There is an intances that when I ordered for Lemon Muffin cake they told me its out of stock, strange happen after a few minutes they’ve serving to other customers and bringing out under the counter. In addition, 3 days after they launch their festive drinks, they are already short with Creams???? Why? Are they not prepared properly for it? Im sure if launch something new drinks they make sure its available. they dont do now proper coffee. Its not to standard i used too for Costa. It is not to the standard i know and what i expect to Costa. Its definitely the costa branch I wouldnt care much to have the coffe and cakes.

Whilst we are always served by the staff really well, due to a broken card machine all payments for the last 2 weeks have had to be by cash. 2 weeks?? Surely a company as big as this can do better than this? The branch must be losing lots of business, inuding mine - and I usually go in everyday with my partner for coffee and food. To add to the poor staffs misery, the dishwasher has been out of order for the same amount of time! So no cups or plates for sit in custome.

If I'm honest not very impressed.. the young gentleman taking the orders behind the till had a massive piece of cotton hanging out of his ear due to an ear infection.. :/ so you had to Almost shout so he could hear you. And there was a very odd looking man who obviously works there but not in uniform wearing what look like a blue football T-shirt hanging out in the coffee preparing area with the rest of his colleagues whilst they were preparing people's orders stuffing his face with pasta and not wearing a mask.. very disappointing I will not be going there again

Staying in a hotel nearby but only have light breakfasts so coffee and toast in Costa each morning before heading out to walk, was ideal. Good Covid protocols in place, with Track & Trace app being used. Friendly staff

Waited while 3 members of staff argued amongst themselves about which one of them should be refunding a previous customer after a trainee overcharged them. Took an age to sort it out, I gave up and left along with the 2 people waiting to be served behind me. Poor show, playground mentality with no consideration for customers waiting to be served or the the one who was waiting for refund.

Coffee was fine, staff a bit slow (it was very quiet but the empty table was not cleared for a half an hour we were there). What put me off was labels on all electric sockets saying "Please do not use". As we are on a camping trip we use our coffee breaks to charge our phones and there was never a problem with it in any Starbucks or Costa, some sites even have usb sockets to make it easier for you. Wonder why it is not allowed in this one. Probably wouldn't stop here if I knew.

Friendly staff with quick service. They couldn't do a salted caramel crunch with milk alternative but made an iced caramel soya latte for me which was amazing! My new favourite drink. Thanks Costa!

Excellent and helpful staff. Good coffee and selection of cakes. Only one fault when I visited, the toilet was out of order and you had to wait for the disabled one to be free. One other niggle I saw some customers move a tray of used cups etc to the floor away from their table hence a health and safety problem as a potential hazard.

Costa itself is fine, it's the parking enforcement that is unnecessarily harsh should you wish to enjoy your coffee and pop into the co-op too.

Lovely place we go their most Sunday's for a coffee and a sandwich. Staff are always friendly and the atmosphere is good.

Choose your meat, then your noodles and sauce. Hey presto a lovely take away of Thai food. Always go in for my noodles when I'm passing. Also do a nice rice version but I like the noodles better. You can also gave it as spicy as you want. Yum yum
