Costa coffee lymington in New Forest

This place re-opened today after a week of renovations but Staff could be more friendly and polite. Barista bumped into me.

Went in at 3pm had coffee n cake. Sat down was lovely to start with but then a load of teenage kids come in with their scooters and bikes and just sat down didn't buy anything they were very loud and swearing. Then I went to use the tolet but the staff had closed the tolets off I asked if I could use them was told no I've just cleaned them there are public 1s across the street . They still had 2 hours of trading left of the day . .

Estábamos en Lymington y de repente nos entraron ganas de comer algo y vimos Costa Coffee. Para nuestra sorpresa había una oferta especial. Un café y un bocadillo por menos de 6 libras. Guau. Comida deliciosa y un ambiente sofisticado. Costa Coffee, me has alegrado el día.

Popped in first thing for a quick coffee before catching the ferry to IOW . Staff super friendly and efficient.

Costa is good, always reliable.

Stopped for tea, staff efficient, but I was annoyed to be told that Costa cards are being phased out. The girl said new tills will only accept the Costa phone app. Do I really want any more apps clogging up my phone? No, the card is fine. Think I will get coffee etc elsewhere if this is the case. People need a choice, not being told what to do. Not happy.

I used to visit here quite regularly but gave up when good staff were sacked or left. Came back today to find a long queue, only two staff on duty, and not much atmosphere. Eventually served, coffee was good but it doesn't cost anything to smile and welcome your customers properly - without them you don't have a job!

When busy being a popular location can be chaotic at times. Much more laid back when the crowds have left and pleasant, staff are always ready to assist with a mop and broom when accidents with spills occur.

OMG… could you ask your staff to break a smile now and again!! Too serious 🧐 either that or maybe a pay rise might help!! The younger lady was a tad friendly but the older Lady was truly sour faced..

Just far to expensive 2 coffees and 2 hot chocolates over £14

Amazing vegan biscoff cheesecake! Orders were a bit muddled, but they were very busy. Plenty of tables Lots of choice, and it was nice to see a decent vegan/dairy free cake

I've been visiting Costa Lymington 3/4 times a week for the last 6 years. The friendly staff have always been a big part of my morning routine. Until today! In the last 8 months, there has been one particular lady who serves me who is quite rude, but i've let it go, presuming that she is busy and doesn't really care much for customer service. This morning, however, I wasn't prepared for the other guy to also be rude. Yes, they were unusually busy for a tuesday, but everyone in the queue was being patient and polite, none of us were being impatient but the attitude and behaviour from both of these servers was more than rude! even to their regulars! the time has come for me to give up on costa lymington and go elsewhere. It's a real shame! i've spent between £60-90 a month there for the last 6 years but I won't go back now. Enough is enough! teach your staff basic customer service please.

I was not able to get the name of the staff that served me but i would identify her as having short purple hair , when waiting for my order she had an attitude to another customer and continued to being rude to me aswell as others i found her being very patronising which caused a tence atmosphere and i would also like to say that she was rude to another staff member But the food was lovely as always - thank you

I had a lovely experience today, was served by a lovely gentleman, Chris. He was very helpful and extremely kind when I was ordering and being served. I’d highly recommend this area to anyone looking for a nice atmosphere to sit down in and enjoy.

the woman who served us was very rude. my younger sister is quite picky with what she eats so we asked if they had any sausage baps and she grumpily went downstairs to look for it. She came back and said “your depriving someone of their breakfast”. We were quite shocked at her behaviour. She then rolled her eyes when we asked her for ketchup. Not coming back Here again.

SLOWEST service I've ever had at a Costa: if the staff moved any slower they'd fall over! And as to old woman serving: grumpest ever, zero interaction and not even a hint of a smile, must have been chewing on a wasp!

Expensive coffee for the privilege to sit at, Dirty table. Dirty seat . Dirty toilet.

Lovely people but the coffee is awful. Served cold and flavourless. Tastes like dirty water with some milk added in.

Usual Costa standard, which, in my opinion, is very high. Quality coffee, which is not expensive. Sweeties/cakes can be a bit expensive, but only a bit... Really nice chain.

Pippa was the lady that served us. She did seem to be rather abrupt when I was deciding what to have. They didn’t bother making the latte look nice seemed to be in a mad rush to get the coffee out quick. Like most costa coffees the cleanliness of the facilities is average and prices of cakes and microwaved toasties leaves a lot to be desired.

I visited Costa Coffee in Lymington today and I couldn’t believe how filthy it was - inside and out! The floor was dirty, tables unwiped, coffee machines covered in old coffee and the steps outside covered in filth! Dirty and grimy - the whole place.

Ok service, but the quality of coffee not the same as it used be. Both lattes tasted really flat and meh. Toblerone latte supposed to be special festive drink but tasted like a hot chocolate or worse. Time to find another place.

Felt really comfertable here. 2 staff on the front first thing in the morning really happy, chearful, talkative. A pleasure to have come in here.

Costa have NO regard for loyal local support!!! Still changing opening hours every week without any real notice - even CLOSED all day Aug Bank holiday Mon and then Tues!!! Manager resigned 5 weeks ago - they recruit new manager after he leaves and she only starts in 4 weeks time - hence insufficient staff - AGAIN - and now manager-less once again!!!! What Costa should do is sack their useless Ozzie MD and COO and replace them with someone prepared to actually do some work and get this mess sorted. Furthermore, seeing as they can't get/keep staff cos they pay rubbish and worse take advantage of their staff (ie: treat them like $£"$!!!) start paying shop floor workers a competitive wage and treat them properly, so they don't keep leaving.

Great customer service, two guys serving in the morning were very kind, friendly and patient. Nice and clean Costa too.

Nice well kept and clean Costa. Easy access in and around and ample seating. USB area to power your electronics. All the standard Costa fare and with friendly staff team. One of the nicer Costas.

Lovely coffee but was served in a take away cup sitting at an outside table.

Use the Lymington Costa when ever I am in Lymington. Today though I wanted two Coffees with only half the amount of milk to give me three quarters of a cup. Very difficult for the young lady to understand this. What has happened to Max? He was excellent.

Nice cinnamon brioche buns and latte coffee for breakfast here at Costa in Lymington after disembarking from ferry - A very enjoyable start to the day.

It used to be fantastic! Last three times I’ve ordered click and collect. Paid then I arrive at 4pm and closed ? How does this happen. No refund … third time . It’s so bad.

So lucky Costa has whole milk to make the best Flat White.

Appalled at the state of the toilet, it was filthy and the other out of use. Streams of people coming from the street to use with no control. Clean up your act in more waus than one.

I'm not a coffee fan, & only went in because other family wanted too, I find them very expensive, especially when you have children with you, and again not a coffee fan but their tea isn't very nice either... Just not a fan I'm afraid x

I regularly use this shop when I get my shopping. It makes a nice break to sit down and have a cappuccino. Good, friendly service. Socially distanced seating. Check in with the NHS Covid app.

In Lymington for a short visit we decided to have a tea and mince tart. Costa Coffee was on route to the shops so we spent about 30 mins in there. Very nice tea and tart, table service and all the Covid precautions made. Would visit again next time in Lymington. JJ

Never felt the need to review a coffee house before but this one merits the effort. We went in and it was full, a Gentlemen advised to to order as a table would soon become free, when we reach the collection point we were meg by a tall young man who asked us to stand our tray down and he would obtain the next table for us us, he cleared and cleaned it and took us over! He proceeded to assist all customer in the same way - deserves a well done

Antes de nada tienes que darse cuenta que la situcaìon con cafeterìas es diferente ahora, sin embargo es bastante posible disfrutar cafè y postres pero por supuesto solo cuando siguiendo las reglas. Es una buena idea poner mascarilla. Y por fin este lugar todavìa es tan sofisticado. Quiero volver pronto, diga, muy pronto. Este Lugar es tan popular asì que cameròn que se duerme, se lo lleva la corriente.
