Great Costa I always enjoy my visits here

Most staff are nice and there's a good selection of food and drinks. There is a lovely young guy who does his best on shift, good job! There is a young guy however who is incredibly rude and uses a lot of bad language (bad habit). He should not be working there with his unprofessionalism and rudeness. He even ignored me when I was talking to him!

I ordered a gingerbread hot chocolate with coconut milk accompanied by a delicious almond croissant for this mornings “corporate breakfast”. As I entered, I saw the long line but as someone who is four months pregnant and hangry I was so ready to wait. I noticed James effortlessly and enthusiastically serving the big rush of morning customers swarm the sandwiches and drinks sections looking ready to order. He quickly, accurately and effectively handled everyone’s orders with ease. For this, I’m not one to give coffee places five stars but the service standalone was on point. Thank you for your hard work James, I’m sure many others like myself will continue to recognise your efforts!

Treats hardly a treat if you have to spend more than your normal order.

Always good coffee, served by welcoming staff. Housekeeping could be better - not enough staff?

Went midday- very busy - only 3 staff serving- had to clear a table before sitting down. Downstairs toilets not working- only upstairs disabled toilet. Coffee usual standard. Sat in for at least 40 mins - just before leaving someone from the backroom came out to finally start clearing the tables and side window ledgers of all the used trays cups etc.

The standards of this chain have really declined over the past few years, rude young staff, bad customer service, dirty sticky tables, cramped surroundings seem to be the order of the day. And surprise surprise the coffee isn't that great either. You better off spending your money with an independent barista you will get a much better deal for your money from people that really care about what they are doing and treat you like a valued customer. Instead of being served by young staff with no manners and fake smiles.

I simply love Costa. Whenever i go into town or Bulwell, i have to go to Costa.. there's something for e everyone, its cosy.. value for money the cakes are amazing

This Costa Coffee in Nottingham on Friar Lane, is much the same as many other Costa Coffee shops - good service - a few tables with previous customers cups etc on them.... Was later cleared up though by other staff member .... I always prefer their coffee over "Starbucks".... 👌👌 I had a smoked bacon cob & skinny caramel latte.....

It was ok. Can't really complain,can't really give heavy praise. Staff weren't rude as far as I could tell, and honestly, lately I've been thankful just for that from places. But there were some curt answers when asked about certain work related discounts, so that's the only real irritating bit I'd say. But again, they work hard so it could be excused.

After a long day of walking and being a tourist, much needed iced coffee was needed. The staff was very friendly. They ran out of a certain ingredient, but they were able to offer alternate options.

Very slow and missing part of order so you have to reorder. Dissapointed

Was there at 7.05 this morning, supposed to be open at 7 but door locked, wasted time going somewhere else... Glad to discover Cafe Nero has got nicer coffee.

Met up with my cousin and her husband first time in 31 years we went in to have a drink .

Had a lovely hot coffee & cake today

i ordered a terrys chocolate orange hot chocolate and was very disappointed. i paid i whooping £5 for a luke warm drink for it to be only jusy half filled. its disappointing level of liquid was masked by cream on top. it didnt taste nice. my bestie for the restie also had a slurp and further agreed that the costa terrys chocolate orange luke warm hot chocolate was one to greatly offend. not appeh. x

The best coffee in every season🍵

Good coffee although service seemed to be a little pedestrian. Perhaps there were issues not known to customers that affected this. Overall a positive experience.

The table was not kept clean , and I had to clean my own table. Food standard.

Can be a little slow or busy at times but never had a bad coffee or hot chocolate from here. Good location too being right on the corner

I liked the hospitality given by the staff

Absolutely shocking service! 4 customers served in 25mins. 25th of October at 1pm. 2 people on. VERY relaxed approach. 25mins wait for a gingerbread latte and a sandwich. I wanted a chocolate twist warmed up aswel but i thought that would take another 5 mins so left it. No urgency, no customer service. If your staff don't want to be there then please find new staff!!! Never have I seen such slow service.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! Visited Sunday 22.10 and can't say anything good about this place apart of one girl that was working for 3/4 people and still had a smile on her face. I hope she gets bouns or paid wages x 4!!! In a nut shell - unorganised, dirty, with a leaking AC by the entrance, place looks tired dated and UNDERSTAFFED! Only one person working - SHAME ON YOU COSTA! Don't go there!!! Avoid!!!

I went around 9:30 in the morning, and the staff were so sweet x I'm always feel a bit awkward when ordering coffee, but they were so patient with me, and she even left a message on the lid of my drink xx

The customer service is extremely poor and the staff inside especially,the lady at the tile was very uncooperative today and indeed they lack hospitality.

Opening hours must be wrong. It's 7:05am on Friday and the lights are on but the front door was locked...

Excellent service and cuisine (blueberry muffin and Americano) as always.

For the last few months they have been putting the espresso in after the milk for lattes. It just tastes like milk when they do that. Even with all new staff they're doing it this way but it's the only branch that does it.

Was about to go in for a coffee and some breakfast but the lady behind the counter was brushing her hair by the food preparation area so changed my mind.

Visited here today 16th August 2023 with wife daughter and 2 grandsons aged 6 and 15months. The boys like Costa but were sad when we were told they had no toast available at 10am. We did stay but it spoilt the visit

Very friendly staff, no problems, coffee was lovely.. only downfall was the broken toilet... not sure if ill be back. Not just for me as a customer being able to use the the toilets.. also the STAFF.

Far too much ice in an Iced Coffee - so much so that the server had to pour away 1/2 the actual caramel mix.

This Costa is ok but not great. Downstairs is really quite cold and alot of dodgy people hang around here Unfriendly staff and a good hit chocolate

Nice place. My only gripe was that the seating area downstairs was a bit smelly. You knew that's where the toilet was. It wasn't dirty or anything, it was just a smell that stood out to me. But the service was great, relaxing atmosphere and the ham and cheese toasties was lush!

The Costa name says for itself it is one of my go to coffee places affordable and worth the price.

The team here are always friendly and happy and the place is always clean. Drinks are always good quality and hot. Plenty of seating and great location

We popped in here for coffee yesterday. The staff were super friendly, and we were served quickly.

Visited today Tuesday 14th march 2023 with wife daughter and grandson aged 9 months. wasnt too busy at 10 am and got a table easily. Drinks and toast were good. The girls behind the counter were very customer focussed and welcoming Well done

Came in at a hectic period in the evening on a weekend, however the staff kept their cool and still remained very friendly and accommodating. Given the amount of customers coming in, cleaning and clearing up used cups and plates was left on the back burner, which wasn’t great for cleanliness.

Grubby tables, slow service, no napkins (you had to go back to the counter and request them), and typically full of students keeping warm and using the free WiFi on their laptops nursing one drink for hours (not that I have anything against that, but it does make it difficult to find a table for coffee & a cake for other customers)

Very slow service, we had to clear our own table. The table was unstable which caused my wife to lose half the contents of her drink. The toilets were dirty. I'm a regular Costa customer. But will not use this one again. When paying premium prices. I expect premium service and cleanliness. It was like a greasy spoon

Some how Costa always exceeds my expectations, the way they serve their food and drink is excellent, even on the busy day,not like Starbucks, can't cope with a bit of pressure.

Always like Costa coffee, get a latte every morning when I can afford it. Staff however seem inconsistent with opening times, sometimes until 7 which is a real pain

Sunday, 8:10- still closed, person inside just ignoring and not opening the shop I went to Starbucks across the road- they opened

We enjoyed our drinks we ordered but tables were not cleaned quickly enough but not to say the two girls were run of there feet so think should have been extra person working in the shop could have been but only two working when we went in so thank you two the two girls that were in l think you did well

A typicall Costa. But just listen to the questions and get first class coffee and service. Plenty of seats and bathroom in the basement.
