Costa coffee Epping in Epping Forest

It was fine. Just had a toasted sandwich and a pot of decaf tea.

Tina and Jade are absolutely awesome. I visited Epping for the very first time earlier on today as I went to meet my best friend of 33 years, and the service was superb. Thank you Tina and Jade 💜 from the lady with the big hair 😁😉

Around 5.30 Two very ignorant Younge Blond Girl Behind the Counter Bothooking at there Mobile Phones and giggling Like Little School Girls .Tony ignored me at the Counter Waiting to be Served for atleast 5 - 6 minutes .No Manners at all obviously Waiting to Shut Shop and go Home when one of them Could be Cleaning the Toilets which were Filthy to Say the Least ! won't be going in there again ever and it was very very Cold in there to as the Aircon was Blowing Full Blast .Two very very ignorant younge women I will Take my Busines in future at epping To NEROS

When I first walked into the famous Epping costa, the atmosphere felt very warm and friendly. The drinks are exceptional, especially the staff that are there make it 10x better with their service. They are : Sophie - very hard working and quick with her service Karrah - very friendly and also very swift with her work Leo - funny and always has a smile on his face. Forgot to mention, the coffe’s are made with TLC Tina- very friendly and attentive to each customer Jade - Very kind and easy to talk to Fantasia- very helpful and very good at making coffee Highly recommend if you want a nice afternoon to spend time with family and friends.

Always meet up here with a friend about once a month for a coffee & a chat. Staff always helpful & smiling.

Visited The Epping Costa Coffee with my partner and it was a nightmare… cold Cappuccino, filthy tables where I had to ask for a cloth to clean off the table so we could sit but still ingrained dirt left,rubbish customer service and all in all in general it was an expensive experience! Costa’s response to my complaint was laughable too!

Small and busy branch, but as consistent as other outlets

Had a nice vegan cake with my cappuccino. The oat milk was somehow blended with pea milk, which kind of worked. The service was slow, despite the singular staff member was working very hard with a smile. Quite a family place this September morning; place was clean, and so was the toilet.

Just had a coffee, the service by the two staff was excellent.They were cheerful even after probably a busy day! Thanks. Will definitely go back to this coffee shop again.

Stopped by for a coffee sat morning. What lovely staff and what fabulous service only two staff on but my goodness they were excellent!! Well done to Karrah and Fantasia they made our day we visit a lot of Costa's but, these two excelled in all things, so much so, I just asked their names and congratulated them. Well done girls we are from the Midlands if you ever need a job come over here and teach the midland branch's how it done.

An ideally-located store with wonderful, friendly staff! Drinks great and food delicious. Costa, please invest further in this store and they will continue to improve and bring in more trade.

Always love the products however today was a shame I felt rushed when I was only one in the que and the shop was empty as it was after rush hour so everyone else was at school and work… I felt whoever served me was abrupt and rushing me even though all I wanted was a simple medium latte … she was rude and told her colleague to make it then she walked off I appreciate she may have had other jobs to do but the customer should always come first ? I will return however it won’t be for the customer service maybe I come on a one off day ? 🤔 also I didn’t even have time to scan my loyalty points on my app as felt so rushed she didn’t even ask ether

Very busy but queue went down quickly. Young lady taking orders very pleasant and well organised. Toasted sandwiches brought to our table quickly, they knew where we were. Other lady clearing tables very polite. Great! Well done.

You really need to clean the shop

When ever I use Costa in Epping, it's like going home for coffee and the staff treat there customers like family. Superb atmosphere, love this place.... Well done...xx Gerry

They're always good places for a snack and coffee. The only downside are that the toilets are not always as clean as they could be. Staff are friendly and smiley and very efficient.

Pop in twice . The staff friendly and helpful with my app and order today. As they was using paper cup I could reuse the cup.

Waited 15 mins for 1 cappuccino by which time my husband and daughter had eaten their cake and wanted to leave 😐

Typical costa coffee outlet where the staff are automated androids, the decor is average, and the food and drinks all typical costa. Nothing wrong but nothing special either.

Fairly empty. Dishwasher working so had China cups. Staff as usual were very helpful and friendly. Good choice of snack food available. Recently dishwasher more broken than working, as take-away cups aren't normally recyclable I'm not that happy about the situation. Staff are lovely and ambience perfect for our needs though

Nothing unusual about products here but staff made it a very nice visit. Very friendly and helpful. Noticed my sister had a stick and immediately offered help. It was a lovely gesture.

A little disappointed as they we're not offering proper cups. Also the sitting area floor was quite sticky

We love Costa coffee and always search for a branch wherever we go but didn't enjoy the experience at the Epping branch .The coffee was up to its usual standard but the upholstered chairs at the table near the window were so uncomfortable ( need cushions )that we didn't hang around .Also the salted caramel brownie ( which we have had at other branches so know what they should be like ) we're stale and clearly not fresh . We won't be returning

This is a joke! What a horrible experience!!! First time in ages had a chance for a breakfast at Costa and I will not have it ever again!! Ordered 2 almonds and one strawberry crossaunt plus 2 coffees. Took my order and left, drove few min to Epping Forrest and was hoping for a nice breakfast with my other half. Order mess up as no strawberry in a bag just a normal one, plus all of them not fresh and taste like a week old. Is that what you have when you try to eat out during lockdown? Thanks, not for me. Better if you wouldn't be selling anything at all then that stuff. It's annoyed me so much that I post first comment ever in my life. Thanks Costa 😡👎👎👎

I appreciate we are in lockdown but this business is still open and should serve their best to the clients. This morning I went there for a takeaway breakfast with my partner. We asked for 2 almonds croissants and a strawberry (we were curious to try for the first time) and two coffee. We drove away to have our breakfast and we ended up with two very old and dry almonds croissants and a plain one. Very disappointed. I was looking forward for my almonds croissant but it was simply not fresh at all.

Busy in bursts, but the counter gets the queue down quickly. Friendly staff in general, and tables cleared quickly. If you can get a table near the wall sockets it's a great place to work. Would recommend.

Came in at 3pm on a Sunday but it seemed the staff were already preparing to close (2 hours early?). Seating areas sectioned off to mop. Cleaning products and blue roll left on the counter sides near food and drink. Coffee machine only being used on one side and the drip tray had been removed. All the tell tale signs. Staff weren’t very welcoming either. Coconut mocha wasn’t great. I watched the barista (Georgia) extract the coffee before heating milk leaving it to sit for quiet sometime. For a mocha it was very wet, not surprising as it wasn’t frothed at all. She also did not ‘bang and swirl’ the milk before pouring. It was luke warm at best. Definitely not heated to an appropriate temperature.

Toilets unclean like most Costa shops. .didn't enjoy coffee today far too strong. And the toasted sandwhich was only cooked 1 side ..I did complain got another ..cooked on 1 side!

I am pleased to report that the improvements at Costa Epping have not slipped back and we received the same warm and friendly service as before. The coffee and cake were excellent and the tables were clean and tidy.

Was ok but we made it just before it got busy, and it seemed to struggle under pressure. But was ok not our best experience at a Costa.

Coffee is not strong enough always have to have a extra shot.

All the usual food and drink offerings that Costa has to offer are available here. Whilst staff are very friendly, they don't seem to be able to keep on top of their work load. Made multiple mistakes with my order and there wasn't much choice of clean/ tidied tables available.

Everything was much improved. The coffee was still well flavoured but this time the table was clean and tidy and the floor like the toilet was clean. As the customers left the other tables, they were cleared and cleaned. They even swept the floor where some food has been dropped. Much improved and I hope the trend continues.

Staff are happy and fast with the takeaway coffee. Better than a Starbucks any day.

Coffee this morning at Costa, Epping......SIX tables full of dirty crockery. Staff working hard to serve customers but no staff available to make tables free to use unless customers removed dirty crockery in order to use the table. Profits being earned by the volume of footfall in the cafe, SHAME on you Costa for not employing sufficient staff.

Good coffee but not enough dairy free alternatives

Nice spot on the high street to sit outside and watch the world pass by. Coffee was served hot and food was tasty too.

Regrettably, the service slipped a notch or three on this visit. The service was painfully slow, and we had to look for a clear table as several were still littered with the cups and plates from customers who had already left. The coffee was still very good, but the floor was littered with dropped food and our tabletop was very sticky. I do hope that the management finds time to read these dissatisfied reports and do something about it.

This branch has a high turnover of staff which tells you everything you need to know. It’s slow and always messy. It’s quite common that one person will be serving while another person will be doing something meaningless in the back. The manager and some of the staff all need a kick up the backside!

Shorted staffed and very slow service

I think I'm 'falling out of liking Costa Coffee' when I don't get what I order but what they think I want.

It's another Costa, just like the others.

The service was warm and friendly and the hot chocolate one of the very best but this visit was let down by the rubbish strewn on the floor. Although the table had been cleared and wiped down, I don't think it had been done with a clean cloth at was still very sticky. The hot chocolate is still excellent.

Seems ok only been in this 1 once to catch up with a friend...seemed slow to me too busy nattering to take much notice of customers but I'm comparing it with the big 1 in harlow and they are spot on with how busy it gets and theres no fuss & very welcoming.. this 1s right near the church and zebra crossings so easy to find and get too & it has disabled toilets

Stopped there half way through a mountain bike ride, as many others do on a Sunday. Service was a bit slow but other than that it was just like any other Costa.

Drinks and food are as expected but the cues move very slowly then you have to find a table. Sometimes you find yourself having to move dirties out of the way so you can sit down

I have watched this coffee shop go downhill over the last few months. There needs to be better support for the staff. Regularly there is just one poor soul at the service counter trying to deal with a queue of ten people. I ordered a coffee and juice last week. I took my daughter to find a table whilst the coffee was being made as I could see it was all moving slowly. I waited just under 15minutes for my coffee by which time my daughter was getting restless to go. There shop floor was dirty with tables full of crockery and disgruntled people everywhere! About six months ago everything was working like clockwork. There was an air of calm and a few more staff and service was better and happier. Management need to act and help out the staff here ASAP before all the regulars get fed up!

A standard High Street Costa. The service on this visit was excellent.

I have never been in a Costa where the service is so slow. I have been in regularly over the last few weeks and have waited 15-20 minutes on average to be served. I normally prefer Costa to others but I'm not going to waste so much time standing in a line so I will choose elsewhere going forward as I have given it a fair trial.

Busy local Costa. I think they could use 1 more member of staff. The staff there are all fantastic - friendly and helpful. But they did seem to be struggling a little with how busy it was. Some tables were left unclean for a while, which is why I think they need 1 more member of staff.

As a regular customer I have been appalled by the decline in service over the last few months Average wait is about 20 mins and I often leave without daily coffee and go to a competitors Today being a particularly sunny day we wanted to sit outside There were only 2 tables and the staff told us they were not allowed any more. We don’t believe this to be true as up until last winter there were always 4 or more tables out. The staff has just become lazy and complacent

Popped into Epping so we decided to go for a coffee in Costa Coffe ! Was about 3 people in front queuing so I said to my husband go find a table ! The shop was not very busy with people so there were a few tables empty but to his disappointment! All the empty tables were dirty & filled with empty crockery ! So @ that point he said let’s go as he was not prepared to clean his own table which is quiet right too ! Surely they have a system to which they must clean away the tables for the next customer! Very disappointed

I love Costa's! This certain coffee shop has plenty of room along with seating. You don't have to sit on top of somebody sitting very close to you and possibly listening to your conversation. It's not too loud and patrons are very respectful of each other and their discussions. One of the best things about this Costa is that it is always clean - the employees are constantly cleaning tables and the bathrooms are clean, too. And of course, the delicious menu!

Costa is Costa so you know what you get. Staff were friendly and I didnt have to wait long for coffee.

My family and I frequently have lunch in costas all over Essex. Today we went in the Epping branch which left a lot to be desired. The staff need some serious customer service training. They were moody, unfriendly, unwelcoming and bordered on being rude. No milk with our tea, toastier left on the side for quite a while before anyone bothered to put them in the oven, waited for ages for the food and felt very unwelcome.

Unfortunately there are never any vegan food options in this store. Store untidy and dirty and staff were not warm and welcoming

Poor, hardly any people in the place, but you wait your backside off just to get served and then some of the staff walk around as though the world is resting on their shoulders.

The serving area and drink preparation area were littered with spilt coffee grounds, used paper towels, empty milk containers, etc etc. Although not particularly busy staff seemed overwhelmed.

The service was on the slow side for a Costa however the gingerbread latte is back and this place didn't scrimp on the flavour, which puts a smile on my face. Good coffee
