Ordered some large lattes to drink inside, there was a long queue and tables were busy. Once we'd placed our order, they said they would bring them to the table (they seemed to be doing this for everyone). It took ages for them to be delivered and when they did arrive, they were in takeaway cups. Nobody.... Nobody else was drinking from paper cups inside and they dumped them on the table in front of us and said sorry they had run out of cups. Sorry, but you kept us waiting so long, we ordered and paid for them in proper cups, so that's what we should have! We refused them and they brought them back in proper cups, so was this really an excuse as they had prepared the order wrongly? Appalling to think that we would just accept them like this. Sorry Costa, one push too far I think, there will be other independents we will visit in future.

Very convenient spot for a coffee and relax while exploring Minehead. We were all surprised by the sheer size of the cups that the coffees and cappuccino came in! I ordered Medium in our hot drinks. They were massive! Two people could share one! It took a little while for our coffees to come. The place was very busy with only 2 tables free. Certainly popular with the locals. And clean bathrooms get an extra point from me.

Been here several times but today well below the normal . Ordered toast and a latte. Coffee was just Luke warm and butter was like a brick couldn’t spread

I found Minehead disapponting for pubs and cafes. So thank goodness for its Costa. Wherever you go, their coffee is very reliable, as it was here. I visited twice; and what stood out for me was the friendliness of the staff. Some impressive details raised this branch above most others for me. For example, with my large Americano, they asked if I wanted one or two little jugs of milk. Then they said they'd bring it to my table. That spared me the worst thing about Costa and other large coffee chains: the waiting about like a spare part for the coffee to arrive at the collection point (OK for a takeaway but well dreary when drinking in.) When you add to these touches the charm and kindness of the staff, both male and female, you have a reason to return--which I did. And the second time, I had an excellent (M&S!) breakfast roll as well, rather than risk one of the dodgy-looking High Street cafes. I almost never do that, so take a bow Minehead Costa and staff. You redeemed Minehead for me.

Love this Costa! I have visited Costas all over the place and the warm welcome from the knowledgable staff was such a refreshing change. They were busy but didn’t have to wait long for my drink and wished me a lovely day on my way out. Thank you all 😊

We have been to many many Costa’s we never go to a new place without a vanilla latte! But this Costa must take the crown as the FRIENDLIEST Costa in the world. They bring it to your table with a smile and bend over backwards to ensure you have a pleasant visit. Well done to all who work here.

Acceptable as Costa's standards. Tables could do with a clean after clearing away used cups though, seems to be a forgotten practice for lots of coffee shops now

Needed a place in Minehead to do a couple of hours of work so popped into Costa Coffee and had a couple of teas and used the free wifi. They were very busy but I was impressed by the polite friendly service and that although they were very busy staff were making a lot of effort to keep customers happy and to clear away dirty crockery. I also felt the staff were working together well as a team. I sat by the window with a view down the High St.

We called into Costa as our regular coffee stop was closed. We weren’t disappointed with the visit, the coffee was fine and the staff very friendly and efficient.

We managed to get into the Bottom ship on Friday 14th December, we were glad to have our annual winter visit as the weir was having issues with electric and a new generator had been put in that morning. The foid we has was excellent the beer as normal presented well and the warmth from the establishment is always heart warming, thank you to the staff to the lovely lady who's name we didn't catch and louis who has been an asset to the pub for our visits for the last 4 years, long may you continue to honour the traditions of Exmoor

Thies, Piet, Nicky and all the staff were absolutely brilliant. We were a large group with lots of needs and requests, which Thies and the team helped us without fuss. The hotel itself had everything we needed, nice rooms - nothing too flash, but everything as described. Really appreciated having evening meals sorted and the breakfasts were lovely. A very convivial bar too!

We booked for the Carvery by Candlelight tonight to celebrate a friend's 80th birthday. I booked immediately I saw it advertised and was assured we could sit in the Conservatory. On arrival I was told they had moved us into the bar area and that they had tried to ring me several times but I had not answered the phone. No surprise there as they had written down the wrong phone number! Meats were very good but some of the veg were too al dente and cold. The only hot veg was the cauliflower cheese. When dessert arrived we asked for a fork as well as a spoon, only to be told they didn't have any forks available ??? We ordered coffee - 3 x Latte and one Americano. The lad came and said they had no Lattes so we all ended up with Americanos. Pub full of people and no Latte available, who does the ordering in this place, it's not as if it's an unusual request, all pubs, cafes and restaurants have Latte, but not the Babbling Brook. Been going to the BB for 8 years but suffice to say we won't be coming again, the Bistro up the road is where we will be spending our money in the future.
