Top notch flat white in Costa within Next made by Jess

Got to be the worse costa in Hull. Caramel lattes!! Ordered 2 with cream. £9.60. Hardly any Caramel and the tiniest blob of cream. Remember you pay for the extras. Very busy, so don't care how it's made. Won't be coming back..

the service was rude, when I wanted to exchange my drink because he said I ordered it wrong, she said I should take it because they wouldn't exchange it for me

i would like to say that this was an amazing experience at this costa. big thanks to josie behind the counter.i would highly recommend this costa because the atmosphere was brilliant the staff was very kind(josie). the drink that i got was very glummy . big thanks to mel she was very nice .

Kingswood costa very disappointed. Staff more interested in other staff than acknowledging customers. Seemed very noisy. Will definitely stick to costa at hedon Road near lidls where staff are fabulous

It's reasonably priced, with plenty of flavours and drink types to choose from. Staff are friendly and polite, and they keep the shop cleaned regularly :)

Consistently good coffee and general hustle bustle coffee shop atmosphere. The downside was it was around 7 degrees outside and the air conditioning kept coming on. It got quite chilly so drank up and left (maybe why it's on?) Edit: visited 9/4/24 and 1.45pm a barista came up and said 'we are closed now we are short staffed' I'd missed the sign as I'd gone to the till a different way she said we told you at the till (they didn't or I would not still be sat there). I feel for the staff, Costa never seem to employ enough staff to cope with demand.

Our favourite. Close to home, great staff,friendly, nothing too much trouble.

We’ve ordered only two double expresso, today, however, barista were extremely well trained. He warmed the cups before making a coffee (unusual in coffee shops), he asked me I like some glass of water along with my espresso. He should be rewarded with pay raise.

All in all a nice place the drinks are always good food is limited if you have allergies. Very little gluten free food for example.

Have to say, the staff inside 'Next' on Kingswood are absolutely fantastic. Always greet you with a smile and can always remember what drink I want before I even ask. Fantastic customer service. If only all people were this friendly. Great work, keep it up.

I go there a lot. Sometimes everything is great: service, coffee etc. Sometimes they make small mistakes with my order but overall it's ok.

This used to be my favourite Costa of all. Always clean friendly and fast. Last two months have been a disaster. Since the new costa opened in Next across the road and took all the best staff, its hopless ive tried and tried. To stay loyal but I've had to switch. Every EVERY. order is wrong. The staff are scruffy and clueless. Definitely not up to Costa normal standards... do yourselves a favour and go to the new Costa in Next. You wont be disappointed.

Just another example of a Costa with toilets that are well below an acceptable standard. One toilet had an out of order hand dryer but had no notice on the door to that effect, nor any other available method to dry your hands. The other toilet had no hand-wash. That amounts to zero cross-contamination control and zero infection control. Totally unacceptable. I, therefore, leave it to other readers of this review to make their own opinions about the quality and safety of the food and coffee being served up by the staff in this establishment.

Had a nice hot chocolate but did feel slightly ripped off at the silly prices.

Wife asked for her hot chocolate extra hot it came colder than mine. Cakes were stale.

Coffee was good. The toast I had was prepared just how I like it.

friendly staff, had a yummy croissant and blueberry bubble drink. unfortunately whole place is let down by having a really loud continuous fan noise coming from the ceiling, it reminded me of being on a ferry. despite it being not too full, i had to really focus on hearing what my friend was saying.

Waited for 10 minutes. only one person in front of me. Staff to busy doing online orders!!!! Surely serve the customers in store first. Walked out without a drink. Second time this has happened!!!!

Usually all the staff and coffee are good and warm all the times I visited previously. However, today the male staff member with dark hair was unfriendly at around 5pm making me not want to visit in the future. He spilt the coffee not apologising and had an unfriendly attitude. The coffee that was made by him was cold too. Very disappointing visit. I never ever review or complain ever but this experience has made me ruined my day. Also the temperature of the shop was so cold on a cold day too

So the staff at Next Costa Hull work hard. Really hard to keep up with the demand. The problem is Costa only run one coffee machine ie ONE barista at any time. They have two machines there but don't use both. The wait times are around easily 15 to 20 minutes and a table is not guaranteed. They need to expand into what is now Bath and Body works and employ more staff. It does get noisy ie babies but it's a coffee establishment. Tbh sick of the queue wait.

KINGSWOOD RETAIL PARK LOCATION Stopped here for axquick drink after shopping. Polite staff, well made drinks and only let down is could have done with the tables being cleaned and not left.

We’ve never been to Kingswood Costa before. Called in today for a coffee, Ordered Medium Americano, large strawberry and cream Frappuccino and a piece of Banana and pecan cake. The tall man with the beard taking order was absolutely lovely, polite and smiley. Order put in front of me, I asked the woman shouldn’t there be sprinkles on the strawberry & cream Frappuccino? It has them in the picture, she said “sprinkles” then snatched it back, top pulled off, sprinkles put on then topped rammed on, obviously this blonde older woman was unhappy about something, never said a word to me at all. I said thank you ignored, I said thank you again, glanced at no smile ignored. Drink was sticky down sides, never, ever have I had such Rudeness in a Costa. I pity the lovely man serving on the till having to work with “THAT” get some manners, you’re paid to serve customers no moan or be rude. Won’t be going back, will be lucky I don’t ring the head office.

I have been coming to this location for a few months now and the service here is excellent. I’m usually here on a Thursday morning and I’ve noticed the exemplary customer service skills of the staff behind the counter. Friendly, pleasant, and super efficient - just how customer service should be! Costa should be proud of these well trained employees! 5 stars is not enough - it’s 10 stars for me! Keep up the great work!

go in hear quite often really good staff who can make a great cup of coffee the store is always clean and run efficiently the same cant be said for the other one on kingswood when it opens says 630am but when a certain person is opening it can be anytime what a joke that shop has become !!

Well set out and good service . Just wish there were more seats outside . Very clean and felt safe. Lovely coffee as usual so no complaints.

Arrived at 8.10pm asked for 2 drinks, young girl on shift made us aware they would be closing in 20 minutes, that wasn't an issue, the fact she then faffed about before even starting to make the drinks was an issue! We eventually settled with our drinks to then be reminded by the other staff member we had 2 minutes to drink up and leave, whilst the girl walked around the cafe on her mobile phone, very professional! As we were leaving we overheard the girl say to the other guy that next time a child visits the cafe she will tell them Santa isn't real. Absolutely appalling behaviour. Maybe she should learn how to speak a bit quieter in her work environment

Yes please....but just need to be faster!! We popped here for a drink before going away for the weekend. There was a queue, and we did expect to wait a little while but it ended up to be about 10-15 minutes. Great coffee and cake, just let down by the time to prep with only 1 server making them all...I even forgot to take pix i was so ready for the drinks and cake!

We arrived at 10:50 on Thursday morning to take advantage of the ‘breakfast bundle offer’ by which you buy and Medio or Massimo size hot beverage and can then purchase a Croissant, 2 slices of toast or Porridge for £1.Like a previous reviewer we’d visited the branch a week earlier to find the card machine broken but assumed it would have been fixed by now. It hadn’t. My wife took a seat and I went off in search of a cash machine. For those who know the area, the nearest one is next to Boots but on this particular day it wasn’t working. The next one is at Asda. According to Google Maps, walking, the round trip is just shy of 800m, around ½ a mile.I arrived back at the counter behind a number of other customers and spoke to the server a few minutes before 11:10. I asked if the Breakfast Offer was still available and was told no, it finished at 11:00. I explained that we got here at 10:50 and that my wife had taken a seat when we arrived.Because their card machine wasn’t working I’d then had to walk the best part of ½ mile to get cash in order to purchase something. The server, James who claimed to be the assistant manager felt that this was irrelevant and the offer was finished for the day.We left and had coffee at M&S. In this day and age when retailers are constantly bemoaning the lack of footfall I would have thought that customer service would have been paramount in any outlet. It’s a shame that some managers who should lead by example have lost sight of basic retail principles.

We’ve always enjoyed the coffee and service here but the last two times we’ve visited the card machine has been broken- no warning apart from a shout down the queue by staff. The air conditioning makes the place very cold- we moved three times and still couldn’t avoid it! It’s also beginning to look grubby. Hope they get these issues sorted soon.

Love my coffee here. Was a bit warm near the window so had to move. Very busy. Great coffee as usual . Can’t fault it.

Good coffee sadly the breakfast wrap was warm on the outside and cold inside. Staff quickly rectified the error once notified.

Visited here on my own during a little shopping trip. The cafe area is bright and airy and was full of people enjoying their coffee. I ordered an almond latte. Piping hot and served quickly.

The Costa at Kingswood Hull is always a friendly place for a great cup of coffee, there is always a great selection of snacks and sandwiches the coffee shop is always clean and the tables are cleared quickly as people leave, a great place for coffee.

Met a friend today for coffee and chat. This cafe is a lovely meeting place, coffee excellent ( especially Christmas drinks!). The black Forrest one was naughty but nice. Mince pie and toasted fruit loaf delicious. Staff polite and good service.

There is plenty of food to choose from but we would recommend both the chocolate tiffin and muffin which were both delicious at £1.95 each and the coffee was first rate. The café is situated on the first floor and is easily accessible by escalator or lift. It is modern, light, with good views, roomy and comfortable with plenty of space for push chairs etc. so ideal for mums bringing toddlers or babies. There is plenty of parking outside. All in all: convenient, comfortable and fairly good value.
