Service amazing and very nice staff

Has to be the dirtiest Costa coffee place going and that's saying something as most have cleanliness issues the service was absolutely rubbish and the drinks well I might aswell thrown them away the toliets all broken and in a right state that includes the disabled one so this was my last try at Costa and definitely won't be using them again a shocking place that needs looking at by the franchisee!!

All good for coffee and quick snack

This is the 3rd time this has happend now. Havent Received my order again. I cannot be any clearer with the directions. I have used just eat to deliver to this address many times before.

Very busy very disorganised fridge not working so very little food. They did their best but probably not their greatest day at the office.

We called in after we had been to the theatre, I was very disappointed that chairs were already on the tables ready for closing. There were still plenty of people coming in, I didn't find it particularly welcoming !! I am never impressed with the toilets in Costa Coffees either. They are never clean & there is always toilet tissue on the floors. I have been in a few toilets when I visit a Costa & they are always the same. On a happier note, the young lad who served us was very pleasant & friendly.

I haven't received my order. After been on the phone to the delivery driver for 4-5 minutes said he had found the address. Then came up and said delivered. I haven't received nothing

Just great every time I go. Also use the Costa app as you can usually get some good deals off off food and drinks.

I like it going to COSTA with my grandchildren ❤️. comfortable tables and chairs, wide aisles. There are also small high chairs for feeding babies. Gorgeous views from the windows. Friendly, cultured staff. Excellent selection of food and drinks.

In my last review my only complaint was that I was only given three small packs of butter that wasn't enough to cover two slices of toast. I was disappointed that on this visit I was only given two packs of butter! The coffee was good.

Great coffee. Would have got 5* but they often run out of croissants in the morning.

Very nice Costa, if not the best around that area, served particularly quickly, and it felt like an all-around tidy clean costa.

The drinks are amazing here of course, like all costa shops. Lattes with oatmilk are wonderful. The staff even gave me a spoon to stir my drink with. Its a nice place to sit in and get to know someone in on a date or meeting a friend and having a conversation. Its relaxing. But there's only two toilets so if there are more people in there's usually a queue and people are impatient. Its also a great location, right in the city center.

Lovely, open atmosphere. Hot chocolate is always great. Service was a bit slower than usual.

Just come in for a tea and cookie with a friend, the two men behind the till where brilliant fantastic customer service such an asset to your team! Cannot fault!

A lovely Costa to visit. Seating is nicely spaced out, so you don't have to speak up when talking. Staff are friendly and being in the town centre and busy, service is pretty fast. 1 lost star for overpriced food.

If you want a standard coffee/cappuccino/tea forget this place. The over complicated menu of drinks seem to baffle some of the staff which then takes them an absolute age to make. If the place is busy (6 or 7+ in the queue) you could easily be waiting 15+ minutes. If you end up with an inexperienced member of staff, god help you.

Missing my food and did not inform me just sent a note in the bag stating not in stock ( could have asked me if I would like and alternative) also drink had leaked all over the bad . Not great to be honest won’t be ordering again .

Waited almost 30 minutes for 2 drinks because they had lost our receipt, failed to read the order and gave me cream when I asked for none. The waiter asked if something was wrong while I was waiting, when I explained, he said I 'should have told him' but I shouldn't have to. Did give us extra chocolate though.

One of my favourite Costas! Staff are always very friendly, and the cafe always has a very welcoming atmosphere.

My order didn't turn up I received a message to tell me the delivery person was here why he didn't knock on my door I don't know but I have only been refunded for the price of my coffee not the other for delivery and services absolutely disgusting

The driver was lovely and polite!!

We usually frequent this outlet during teatime. I have always observed one of the staff members, Dan. He will always have an unpleasant face whenever there are customers. He is very reluctant and impatient. Lately I realised that this personality of his is only displayed to non-English people. He would be extremely chatty and pleasant with an English customer and becomes sulky when it is a non- English person (Asian, Black etc) In fact personally I would be afraid to enquire further because he looks like he is about to give you a scolding. A big coffee outlet chain like Costa Coffee needs to be more attentive about this and provide staff with training. Most of the staff at this outlet aren’t happy to see customers anyway except one or two smiley faces which are on rather rare occasions.

Absolutely disgusting! Husband visited the clough road drive thru for 2 strawberries and cream frappes. This was not made with cream but some absolutely rancid alternative meaning it all got poured down the sink! Obviously some kind of vegan sh** and tasted putrid! Costa staff need to stop forcing their views on people wading us over £9 in the process. Will never visit a Costa ever again!

Nice day, sat in the window watching people walking past. Caught up with some business but one has to continue.

Delivery guy turned up on pushbike with my 2 coffees, pulled the bag out which was soaked and both coffees fell through the bottom of the bag. He said he was going back to get me more coffee and never came back. I need a refund, I don't know why push bikers deliver coffee because it spills all over every time... now I have to go through Just Eat to get a refund. Don't deliver hot drinks with a biker. Really not happy at all...

Will definitely order from here again

Apparently just eat orders take priority over the orders of those in the shop he told the girl who brought the just eat orders to him. This is ridiculous just eat should take their turn in the queue like everyone else. Poor organisation to say the least.

I recently stayed in this costa twice over the last few weeks, staying for a couple of hours at a time, remote working. There seems to be a common theme of how they operate. One person serves all the drinks and another will be doing everything else. That's fine, if it's not busy, but it is, and there's queues all the time, when they doesn't need to be. No joke, you're waiting at least 20mins, just to get served, then there's a wait to get your drinks. The priority should always be to reduce the line size, even if it's all hands on deck, but it isn't. No doubt it's because they are understaffed, but on one occasion there were two people, mulling around, when one girl was overstretched. The reason for the one star was because of a more serious observation I made. A staff member, went from washing the dishes (or loading something) in the back, to emptying the bins and seeming taking the rubbish outback, to going straight into the front area and touching multiple surfaces. Never once washer her hands. It's not on, at all. Especially with what we've all gone though in the last few years. Cleanliness in these environments is everything.

Early for an appointment so popped in for a coffee and was tempted to try a toasted tea cake. Very nice but two pats of butter were hardly enough.

Ordered caramel iced coffe and americano, couldn't taste the caramel, and the barista wiped excess coffee grounds from the scoop with her hand. Lack of health and safety.

Great place to relax after shopping

The staff were extremely lovely. One young man in particular was very helpful and knowledgeable when I asked a question about some of their new drinks. Overall a very pleasant place for a quick drink or bite to eat.

Just pop in for a coffee, as always the staff was friendly, good cup of coffee .

Another good place in town but the same problem which is in Costa nearly St Stephen. Dirty toilet... I worked in past in restaurant and trust me toilet hygiene is very important for customers. Please take focus on it.

Called in for a coffee before boarding a bus at hull interchange, staff very helpful and pleasant. While I was there I downloaded your app and staff showed me how it works, very happy will be calling again when in the area 🙂

Great place to meet for a drink. Disappointed they hardly cater for gluten intolerance. Just a little brownie or flapjack, compared to all the cakes everyone can have :-(

I'm a Costa lover, but I really did feel for the staff on this visit. They were ridiculously busy with only 3 of them trying to clear the queues. The food we purchased was delicious and served hot. The issue seemed to be the sheer number of festive drinks they were trying to make which all time alot of time and faff. If you're going to have a time consuming menu, put adequate staff on to deal with the queues. It lead to alot of people standing around getting very impatient. The staff that did serve us were trying to put on a smile but you could see the stress and strain. This review is aimed at the managers (which not one of was to be seen?) not the staff as they weren't to blame.

Far too full on for a relaxing coffee on a Saturday. The only saving grace is watching the amazingly robotic staff, but my order was forgotten and I waited twenty minutes for a coffee that wasn't even mine. I'll use independant shops more in future.

Bit of a queue but the staff were working as hard as they could. Because of lack of staff there were some dirty pots on some tables but staff were apologetic and friendly and advised of delays

Came here on a midweek busy day but the service was welcoming and very courteous and we were dealt with quickly. The drinks came as described and were very good. We also got cheaper sweet treats that were reduced as there was an offer where when you bought hot drink, you got sweet treats at a reduced cost. The tables and areas were clean and tidy and we would come here again.

Every single time the croissant is cold when i order a delivery Come on guys you charge for a service at least provide for what i pay for. Takes a minute to warm it up and then bag it. Very disappointed

Caramel cortado did not come as advertised and considerably lower in quantity than expected..

Costa has just really gone down hill, the staff are usually really nice it's just the drinks, usually either too sweet and sickly or bland and tasteless...

I ordered a magic bag from Too Good to Go app. Got a Hot Chocolate whilst waiting was great
