Costa Coffee in Bolsover

Clean cafe. Friendly staff. Lovely hot Black Forest hot chocolate and very tasty warm mince pie. Thank you.

The place was very busy, ques were outside, the staff were working very hard and looked to be short staffed, however to be honest they were still polite and friendly even though very busy. We got our drinks and sat down then you could see that the place needed a good clean, floors that dirty it was rising up the walls, the lights over the food counter were thick with dust , and the toilet was terrible, very dirty floors, same again rising up the wall. The door was filthy and so was the sink.

When we arrived at the door we were told that due to maintenance hot drinks were not available for an hour, so we went and did some shopping first but not the best first impression - could this not have been done out of opening hours maybe?Busy when we returned but drinks were nice and staff were friendly. Only other down side was no one was clearing tables, lots of people sat with previous customers cups and plates on the table, not the best with a toddler who wants to touch everything!

Stopped off here for a quick bite to eat while shopping. Good choice of sandwiches, wraps and paninis plus cakes and obviously coffee and other hot drinks. We were served fairly quickly and the food was good - chicken salad sandwich and Chicken Caesar wrap. My only complaint would be the toilet - just one self contained unisex toilet which was not overly clean, but that may be due to the previous occupant to be fair. Overall good experience though.

Visited with family for a coffee while at shopping. The place itself is nice with decent coffee. Staff treat customers as an inconvenience and seem to employ little or no attention to basic food hygiene principle. Manager needs to get the younger staff more focussed. Maybe title should be nice place but could be amazing if managed properly!

Entered the coffee shop at 10:50 and joined the que, usual staff more interested in last nights activities than serving customers. Ordered the coffee and muffin deal for £2 when eventually served at 11:10 be then be told that deal finishes at 11am. I explained to the lady I had been in the que since 10:50, she rudely replied ‘that’s not my fault’. After 11 the muffin and coffee is £5.30.Two suggestions, remove your advertising board from outside at 11am and train the Lisa on customer service. Rude !

What’s so good about this costa is the ample outdoor seating where you can enjoy a coffee and perhaps a cake or pastry while basking in the joy and enthusiasm emanating from shoppers passing by.

Its a busy Costa in a busy shopping outlet, but when you need a break from the family trying on one item after another then this is a nice oasis for a drink, snack and rest for 10 mins, good staff even when busy, well worth apit stop.

Im ot a coffee person but my daughter is. I must hope she enjoyed her drink enough to warrant standing 20 minutes to get served mid afternoon. I personally find these places over priced.

Very busy but up to Costa standards of quality and service. Grab a table as you arrive to ensure you're not waiting for a seat with a newly purchased drink. Staff friendly and attentive despite obvious pressure.

Lovely food and drinks as always. My only gripe is that they are very keen to get you served but so slow at clearing up after others to allow you somewhere clean to sit down. We had to move the dirty leftovers on our table to another. The lady came out to clean the table next to us for another couple and said she would return to wipe the table down but never did. Could hear the staff having a laugh in the kitchen while the manager was busy making the drinks and not really managing.

Been here a few times and they are always friendly here no matter how busy they are making time to talk to you. Drinks are always consistently good too.

Brief visit on a Monday with a friend whilst our wives roamed the shopping complex. Free Wi-fi, decent coffee, good service. Very busy. Has outside seating for the Winter smokers.

I visit regularly with my daughter on a Sunday. We love the range of choices, both light meals/snacks and drinks. I love the fact that they do decafe coffee for any of the options, the only downside is they don't offer lactofree milk just soya, which makes the coffee taste funny.

What can you say about costa... if you love coffee the. It’s the right place! Staff are always friendly even is extremely busy periods. Plenty of seating inside and out.

Been many times ..nothing changes , atmosphere dull boring , Same old drinks(coffee i know).But needs some spice..staff alittle tired and worn.

Almost invariably call in here when at the Outlet.Usually mega busy. Quite often a wait. Always manage to get the last table. The coffee is as standard as anywhere at Costa.Presentation of the drinks is somewhat liking most of the time. Pressure to get customers served I suppose.Will always patronise Costa wherever I am.

As well as the usual range of drinks, both hot and cold, there were a small range of snacks available to accompany the drinks. Service of the drinks was efficient when I visited for the first time recently and although it wasn't busy, some of the tables had not been cleared and the one we sat at was a little sticky.A convent place to stop for refreshment whilst shopping as Costa Coffee is conveniently located centrally in the East Midlands Designer complex..

Attractive and very clean with very friendly and helpful baristas (my husband and I are pensioners with limited mobility). The coffee is excellent and the food is tempting and tasty.

Friendly helpful staff who give service with a smile tables always cleared, and place is kept clean and tidy.

25 mins to get served even with an army of staff. Get your act together otherwise you'll have no customers.

Having had a busy morning shopping a little short stop for a coffee at Costa Coffee took almost as long to get served as it did to shop. 4 people behind the counter to Serve but only one person on the till taking orders and monies. That same person was doing 3 jobs whilst the other 3 members of staff had one role. Whilst the queue was building up it would have helped if at least 2 other members of staff stopped what they were doing and helped serve. The young lady doing the coffee was busy but not overwhelmed. The young lad taking orders was also trying to prepare hot food. A bit more organisation would have reduced the queue in quick time. I waited 20 minutes from start to queue to walking away with 2 coffees and a bag of crisps at the finish...way, way too long. I love Costa Coffee above Starbucks but this outlet needs to review how staff are serving at busy times..!!

Comfortable, friendly Costa. Nice place, but we are usually with soya/dairy free friends, so have to fetch drinks from Starbucks :( Come on Costa..please catch up and start offering coconut and almond milk.

Called into Costa before starting shopping. Served a lovely latte. Like all Costa's, has a good variety of options including soya milk and decaf, and the Baristas do their best to serve it to your preferences. A great variety of cakes, biscuits and hot snacks available if it takes your fancy. The coffee shop was clean and well presented, and fully accessible for wheelchair users.

Visited today and really enjoyed latte and toastie with lemon muffin for afters which went down a treat.

A medium sized café with outdoor seating. We had dry cappuccinos and they are the best we have had for months. Good strong coffee with lovely stiff froth. Brilliant

Always happy to get such a good decaffeinated coffee so often you just get instant topped with water but not here

As good as the chain usually is. Only problem was the points machine. was out of action. Very busy for 1000hrs. Good throughput of customers whilst we were there.

Friendly, helpful staff. We enjoyed very nice coffee and cakes, relaxing and people watching, during a break from shopping.

With working down at the outlet it is a prime location to get a costa fix whether it's a hot or cold. The new cooler range is amazing and hot chocolate is an all time favourite. Very clean, friendly and polite staff.

A new Costa visited and drink quality remains high as expected. Hope they keep it up. Staff chatty and friendly

Always love to come hear for coffee and breakfast before the shops open. Costa is the best all round. My first choice always. Staff are always friendly and is a nice place to relax. 👍👍

At least you know the standard of the food, snacks and drinks - which is always, let's face it, very good. Usual comfortable surroundings - but this outlet can get a bit busy!!

Noisy cafe and tables not cleared. Waited in a long queue to be served and then after ordering was told they couldn't take card payments. I said well someone might have informed us before now, and I was asked...didn't you hear me shouting it out? Well no because your music and general noise was so damn loud you can hardly hear yourself think.Not the greatest Costa experience

Popped into Costa Coffee at Junction 28 between early morning meetings. Service was quick and to the usual high quality; shop not too busy and quickly in/out.

typical Costa.. pleasant staff, decent coffee, nice toastie and a nice bit of cake.. just a pity you need a 2nd mortgage.. you gets what you pays for i suppose!

We popped in for a couple of diet lattes while shopping... Good coffee, nice atmosphere and pleasant staff. Well done.

Visited here last Sunday morning. Had a job to get a seat as it was heaving as the shops were not open. Very long queue and quite slow service. I asked for tea and had to ask them to put more water in the tea pot and even then it wasn't full. Good thing here is that you can sit outside if the weather is ok. still prefer Costa to Starbucks.

My preference is costa over starbucks when i can as the coffee has the blend i really like here the coffee was excellent really good cup of latte with only half a shot and used skinny milk perfect

came here for coffee on Sunday. we ordered two drinks and two cakes. these were ok and we sat int he arm chairs in the corner. The arm chairs wee splattered in food and drink stains which was a little off putting but more over there was a 'thick' (not even thin) layer of dust across the wooden shelving along the wall and the cabinets housing vases. not great for a cafe!

called into Costa Coffee last week on a shopping trip to the retail park and have been many times before but this time it was a complete let down? we arrived just before 2pm and tried to place an order requesting one coffee to be made with soya milk only to be shown a carton which the assistant poured out in front of me, sorry about that but thats the last of the soya for today she said thats a major coffee chain and by 2pm they run out of milk, mad or what ?? we placed the order minus the soya drink and when we sat down the table was dirty and when we looked around the place most of the tables were uncleaned and the place in general looked very run down and in need of a re-fit worn-out chairs etc. i went to visit the loo and to be honest if i had gone the loo first i would not had placed my order as the loo was in a right old dirty state. what a complete let down shame on Costa.
