Costa Coffee in Mendip

After spending about an hour wandering around and finding the shops I wanted to visit were the opposite side of the village to the car park, i was ready for the coffee break! Nice setting and if you had children (we didn't) it was adjacent to a children's play area

Awful. Don't rate Costa but this was ridiculous. Asked for 2 takeaway decaf lattes....was given fully caffeinated what I would call cappuccino. Apparently the lady to serve us was a shift leader?? Blonde with glasses.... definitely needs a lesson in customer service and how to make coffee???? Costa your slipping

Worst costa I’ve have ever had, (usually love a costa). Operative made our coffees in takeaway then realised was a drink in poured the coffees into the latte cups , spilt all down the edges, my god it was so strong, my cup was about 3/4 full. It was not good at all too strong and bitter. Our ham and cheese toasty were slimy worst we’ve ever had and believe me we’ve had a few. Then to my disgust there was a woman dressing a young toddler sat on the serving counter, putting new shoes on the child ? Where the food is served ? 🤬🤔 could not believe my eyes the assistant never said a thing like it’s normal for that to happen. Maybe some staff training might be useful in that store. We will not be using costa at street again, incredibly poor customer service, hygiene, and rubbish skills at making coffee.

It was the best of a bad job! Food ok but not cheap. Outside tables dirty. Staff kept coming outside, but the tables and chairs were never wiped while we were there.

Came inside to shelter from the heavy rain and enjoyed a latte and shortbread biscuits. Friendly staff and fast service.

We came here for lunch, but we were rather late so limited choice. Normally I would pick a panini, but none left - our fault completely. Chose a sophisticated pork and pancetta role and a chicken and pesto lattice pie with a portion of salad to share. Such amazing luck - they were so tasty. We tried both and agreed both were excellent. Must experiment more often!!!

Great coffee prepared by helpful staff. Surprised that but wasn't set in a separate store but it was a peaceful place to rest tired feet and minds.

It was a good visit from start to finish. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff and the products we had where very good. We will be back

This is a reasonable Costa which was clean and the service friendly. We had a Flat White and an Espresso for £4.95. The wait time was ok too.

I was in the que for 15 minutes to find they didn’t have enouph stock. They do not make enouph stock for the amount of customers. A waste of time and now dissapointed

We parked up at Clark’s Village just to go to Costa, it was shut when we arrived at 4.30 even though it’s advertised as 6pm.

Visited Sunday 6th Sept 2020 and there was a long queue, possibly due to just opened the doors. Slow service but the staff were very friendly and helpful and the coffee was tip top. Plenty of seating also. Exit was not very well signposted for us who sat just inside the door

This Costa is situated within a homeware department in a factory outlet. The cafe is fairly open and has no atmosphere. The coffee is standard Costa coffee which I find disappointing. It lacks depth of flavour. The paninis are OK but not as good as some other coffee outlets. They are a bit soggy. Similar prices to most coffee shop chains. Service is OK but impersonal. There are better options.

sadly very disappointed, did not get a gingerbread man or apology with my ginger cream hot chocolate, not worth it

Really lush gingerbread and cream hot chocolate by an employee called Angelina :) Great service 10/10

A pleasant environment, decent drinks, but mostly recommended for the pleasant and helpful staff. Clean and simple, but good.

Popped in with the family for lunch. Lack of food relating to the relevant lunch deal. Eventually staff found the goods out the back. Although many staff, service was a little slow and nothing properly organised. Kitchen staff were doing a sterling job out the back, but guidance was needed to co-ordinate the whole team to make it a better slick operation.

one thing you can say about costa coffee is you always get the same drink and service.a very airy and clean place.

Sometimes stop for coffee and a slice of cake/muffin. Standard Costa fare; coffee is always a bit insipid, which is how the wife likes it. convenient if browsing Portmeirion and adjacent bedding deparment.

This is in a great location and is nicely laid out. Very busy but well staffed. Very pleased with our visit.

I personally cannot walk past a Costa without popping in for a Latte, Standard Costa menu with beverages, food and seats.

Called in to have a brief break from shopping (Clark’s Village) good service ,coffee lovely as usual .

Went into costa wanted a festive hot chocolate but had run out of cream it’s was only bloody 10am if that’s not bad management I don’t know what is.

Popped in for a lunchtime snack and a Costa Coffee - had a turkey toastie which was delicious and another terrific coffee Our 2 servers were Shannon and Maria ( I think) One had blue hair the other several tattoos Both made us feel very welcome were polite, helpful and professional This Costa is undoubtedly one of my favourites Thanks

We only stopped for a couple of hot drinks but the service and staff were excellent. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Disappointed with Costa who we visit frequently, thought we would go for a meal deal for £4.95 each but no crisps in our chosen flavour because they had run out ! Hmm promoting something surely you should order enough stock ? so we ended up paying more Thanks Costa

This coffee shop is within another store, it does not have many tables to sit at and the queue always seems to be long. It took quite a while to be served and I ordered two lattes. Not impressed, these coffees were very weak and tasted more like we were drinking just milk with a hint of coffee. There are better coffee shops to use for a quality latte!

My favourite place to stop for a coffee when in the village shopping. Alsways enjoy a latte with a toastie and brownine to follow. Good staff and service. Always clean environment

As usual the standard of the coffe was great, But Costa need to get their act together, we queued almost 20 mins just for coffee. Many coffee shops now will take your order and bring your coffee to the table. I think a study into working methods is long overdue

Great drinks here, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and cold drinks available. A nice place for a refreshment break in a busy shopping day.

After quite a bit of shopping and browsing at Clarks Village we decided we needed a coffee. There were other places other than Costa, including some attractive coffee booths etc,provided by the outlet centre. We thought we can always really on Costa as we wanted a guaranteed great coffee, a big mistake today as the flat whites we ordered were only warm. Tasty enough and we paid extra for improved coffee beans. Could have taken the flat whites back to the counter but they were busy and were tired!
