Excellent its warm and welcoming at costa in cowbridge .friendly staff always busy serving or cleaning nice bit of banter with staff and customers too great place to get coffee drinks breskfast lunch a grest meeting place to relax and indulge .

A good size coffee shop situated on the main high street

Comfortable seating, large windows, lets you relax , enjoy the coffees and watch the world go by

Their soy milk is unpleasant taste in coffee

Probably a one off but they were really struggling the day we went in, no food available and hot milk served with my tea. I did overhear the manager say they were struggling with staff and she wasn't feeling well.

Coffee was usual Costa standard, the staff were very pleasant, but the food was a bit limited. I believe at the time they were having issues with the grills

Please stop using the sane jugs over and over with reheated milk . Wash the jugs !! You keep adding fresh milk to milk that’s been heated over and over causing the coffee to taste of overheated milk which is disgusting and a waste Of money to customers . Sheer laziness

I have been in many Costa establishments throughout the country. This ranks the worse for cleanliness. Every table had not been cleaned. With crumbs and food stains on all tables.The toilets were not clean. The food was good but that is all.

Not bad. Good prices and nice Bakewell tarts.

Staff are always really lovely here, happy to explain products and talk you through options. They also seem really happy in what they're doing, really lifts the atmosphere of anywhere when people are happy. Go here regularly and they're happy to make up drinks with dietary/milk alternatives too.

As title suggests. Staff walk by and leave dirty tables. No one in charge. And many school children just sitting around. Thought I was in their school hall!

Lovely welcoming staff. Coffee shop spotlessly clean. The barrista man who served us was so kind and had excellent knowledge of the coffees. The panini was delicious and so was the slice of chocolate gateau. Absolutely yummy. Thank you all.

I came with a friend to have a coffee after the school run. I expected it to be quite busy but it was very quiet, which was nice. The tables were all clear and everything looked clean. The staff were very friendly making recommendations on coffee. I had to go and ask for napkins as there wasn't any placed out but this was not an issue and staff gave them with a smile. Coffee was lovely and my friend enjoyed theirs also. Toilets were clean. Admittedly it was first thing in the morning so I will review again at a later time in the day. The staff were talking about how the food is being taken over by M&S. We walked so didn't have an issue with parking but you can either park across the road in the Rotary Car Park, or in Waitrose. Prices are the same as every Costa, all a little high for food but that is the same everywhere.

Great place where dogs are asked in seating area out back. Staff super friendly. One way in and out with sanitizer always full and at the ready. Their frostino's are lush. Love this place.

Very disappointed with service. Staff were disinterested and lethargic. Half way through being served the server started asking the next customer questions about their order which was very rude. We only ordered 4 items, 2 coffee and 2 food items but had to ask twice for the cake we had ordered. No apology. Will be a very long time before we return.

Probably one of my favourite Costas fue to the fact it's always so quiet. Always guaranteed a table and great social distancing in place. Staff are very lovely, the place could be a bit cleaner though, especially the toilet.

We called here today. Only to be told that it is a government requirement to show I'd as well as track and trace. We did not have smartphones. The details were written on A scrap of paper. Where as other. Costs write on till receipt and Are polite.

It was busy and there were only two young people running the place. It was Saturday so more staff should have been on. They were doing going as fast as they could and couldn't be expected to do more. The chocolate and caramel brownie was nice.

Visited Saturday 14th November 2020. Walked in to the coffee shop alone to see if there were any tables free for myself, wife and daughter. Was shouted at by a member of staff to get out of the shop. No signage up of the process to be seated at a table, or signs to wait outside to be seated. Very rude behaviour from said staff member, needless to say we went elsewhere. Understand the challenging times but there is no need to treat customers in such a manner.

Nice coffee but food poor , we wanted coffee and toastie £4 offer , sold out of all toasties and sandwiches and it was 12.30 lunchtime , had 2 coffees and a vegan sandwich which wasn't very nice and a stake Belgian bun. Wont go to Costa again !

As everything else in this beautiful part of the world Costa once again delivers...great service and of course GREAT COFFEE!!

I visit often as cowbridge is a pleasant place to visit, have a Americano a round of toast with marmalade, maybe a muffin if later in the day. I do feel of late the management of the place as gone down. I’ve been witness to some staff suffering unpleasant behaviour and abuse. School children using the place just for a chat not for custom, they are very loud with bad language. When politely asked to leave unless they were buying beverages, not to use bad language and be mindful of other paying customers. The abuse was not nice to witness on this very pleasant member of staff I have come to see regular, on my visits. I did wonder where was the manager. Tables are not cleared as quickly these days either, even if lots of empty tables some people get shirty the one they want is not clear, as they like to sit to be seen in the window. The place is very tired and even when clean/tidy doesn’t look it.. hence only the 3⭐️.. coffee and staff service makes my visit.

Good for your daily coffee or meet up with friends

Me and my friends visited Costa in Cowbridge for a catch up. We sat down and started talking. Then one of the waiters came up to us and said ‘If your not going to buy anything get out.’ I was quite confused at first, and then got a little annoyed. It was to catch up, we weren’t ready to get anything.

Just called into have a catch up with my Mum and Auntie, tea and toast. As we always do once a week here. On arrival 3 customers in coffee shop. Quite quiet,had to clear a table. Went to order,and asked for a cloth to clean the table,the member of staff a female,was so rude and said I will do it when I finished here. I said I would do it. The response was so snappy and rude. Even my Mum commented, which us not like her.my Mum then said we will not come here when she is working. Train your staff in customer service. Even when we left,she still had a sour face on her,and no tables had been cleared. Not costa material.

Visit here regularly. I never bother reviewing big chains, but this shop has a real local feel to it. Hayley the manager is first class and has lots of coffee knowledge to share. Also, the branch participate in programmes to get disadvantaged people back to work - well worth a mention. A pleasure to visit.

We called here today and whilst the staff serving were attentive. The same cannot be said for the state of the cafe with uncleared tables, crumbs everywhere. and dirty tables. Staff should be more motivated by the absent manager.

Usual fair quality of beverage. Not quite as well looked after as other branches though; slightly lax on the table clearance front in my personal experience (though not a very frequent customer it must be said, so may be down to bad timing). Otherwise a convenient location and good amount of seating, plus outdoor seating to the rear.

Had the amazing black forest hot chocolate and a mince pie. Cafe was tidy and clean. Staff very friendly.

As a regular visitor, I have, in the last month, been disappointed three time. 1. No cocnut milk as we have started drinking it and it helps with my wife's daily intolerence. 2. No decaf filter pods - we both drink decaf costa. 3. Toilet (ground floor and mostly used as it disabled users) - no tissues!!!!! Things had better improve or we use one of the other coffee stops in Cowbridge

A nice cafe with lots of room and an outdoor seating area too. Lovely to see a table called "chatty table" where people can sit wit new people and have a chat.

This place is fab all of there drinks are good they have free WiFi and they sell snacks and baggettes too. Would recommend!

Come here for a coffee when in cowbridge. If my coffee isn't quite how I like it they change it for me every time without question and a pleasant smile. Wonderful staff.

Nice clean store, friendly staff lovely good quality drinks kate,pheobe and Molly were great when i popped in. Toasties were piping hot and coffee and cakes to a good standard! Chilled out in the garden enjoying the sunny weather.

Costa Coffee Cowbridge is much the same as Costa Coffee everywhere. Try and get a window seat to watch the world go by

Been to several Costas however found the staff really friendly and helpful. Only had drinks today, but Latte really nice and warm.

This Costa is a lot like most other branches of Costa in many ways but I was really impressed with their friendly welcome to me and the great standard of customer service for my whole visit. There are two different ways to access this Costa (a front door and a back door, essentially). The toilet was clean. I couldn't finish the snack I had purchased as I was too full so I asked for a bag to take it away in and they put it in a little paper takeaway baggie for me instantly. Excellent customer service and very tasty hot chocolates.

Can get busy on the weekend so tables can be hard to find sometime. Spoiled a bit by the weekend warriors in lycra using the outside seating area as a bike park.

So I walk into this place and everyones jerking off and listening to Hitler speeches, I swear to God the staff were sacrificing an iguana in front of a shrine to Kim Jong un.... Gonna need therapy after this, alright coffee tho...

We love this costa, it's just around the corner so we visit often. The staff are always so friendly. The coffee is always great. It's become a popular spot in the town but could really do with a refurb now! Some of the arm chairs in particular need replacing and general updates would be welcome. Still a fab 4 out of 5!

A fantastic stop-off and my favourite coffee shop ever!
