Costa Coffee in Tunbridge Wells

Great service, didn't have to wait very long. Quite expensive but that's Costa for ya.

Amazing customer service, the workers there made my day especially Lee. I will forever recommend this Costa.

This is our local Costa but it is a bit of a hike from Southborough, but worth it. As two OAPs we were greeted when we entered by a lovely lady called, Roo, who had a lovely happy face who, immediately took our order with great patience as we dithered over our choice of drinks. It was a lovely experience and will definately return when the weather allows.

I walked in and unfortunately did not have much money so I only got a panini and a tap water , they asked if I wanted ice , didn’t judge and service was quick !

Excellent coffee served in giant cup, and great cake to accompany it.

gabby makes the most yummiest drinks ever ( and we all know i drink costa from around the country regularly)and she’s been teaching the staff well i love stopping at this costa for a drink they are just so friendly drinks are always mwah perfect xoxox

This place is absolutely filthy. The toilets are disgusting, the seats stained and filthy and floors the same. There's a much better cafe which is cleaner, more welcoming and has better coffee up the road called Even Flow.

Venue good, Staff unwelcoming. Popped in for a quick coffee and snack whilst waiting for an appointment elsewhere. Time of closing on door and online is 5.30 pm, but at 5.10 pm staff was telling us we'd have to leave in 10 mins. At 5.20 pm, as we were gulping down our coffees, he was telling us it was time to go Won't be back, that's for sure.

Lots of friendly staff and very lovely atmosphere.

Slightly scruffy and like Costa's everywhere expensive. But it gave us a welcome break on a Sunday afternoon when other nearby cafes were closed. Staff welcoming and efficient.

Nice cakes and snacks. Personally I find the coffee too weak but that's just my personal taste. Worth a visit if you like Costa.

Sometimes they make good caps, other times not so great or actually quite bad. So it's hit & miss. I stopped going because I never knew what sort of coffee I was going to get. When it's busy, the staff are rushed and that doesn't help. They should employ more people and train them up as better baristas.

It's a nice Costa coffee shop😊, the staff were nice, courteous and friendly😊, I like the seating area as it's nice and spacious😊. The only down side is parking, if you have to drive, there's not much possibility for nearby parking 😔

It's a standard Costa, but such lovely friendly service! Really lovely people. You can also park just down the road so much better than trying to stop off in the middle of Tunbridge Wells

Paper cups at 4.15 on a Sunday afternoon….why? Asked not to have the lid told you have to? Neither environmently friendly , It says that they close at 5pm on a Sunday…. Where is the manager? Who is the manager? Not only that but not even a nice cappuccino Watery and Luke warm Rude service Lazy staff

This is s very comfortable Costa Coffee lounge. It's always clean and tidy. There are leather sofas along with the usual style seating, and tables and chairs outside of you don't mind sitting by a busy road. The downside is that there is no parking available, neither at the coffee lounge itself or in nearby streets.

Awesome friendly and efficient staff

Nice spacious cafe, with lovely staff and a great selection of hot/cold drinks and food. Lots of window seats too. Parking might be a bit difficult for some at this location.

Convenient to stop walking or on bike, not to bad in car. Its Costa.. Good coffee and pastries

The hot chocolate was far too watered down, didn't taste like chocolate at all and therefore overpriced.

best cake i have eaten at a costa so fresh 2 young staff i was in at 230pm 5/7/21 sorry did not take note off your names but you both was 10/10 i have local bar and i would employ you both this is what service is all about customer care and attention ,enthusiasm excellent presentation off coffee cake and the young blond lady was so good with the customers

Good coffee shop. Got served by Courtney last week and she was superb. Really bubbly and understands what it takes to get great service and happy customers.

Nice staff they is one girl which is a asset to any company as she speak to all customers do not now her name but she is switched on and motivated.

Spacious with kind and courteous staff. Relatively busy showing good quality of beverages, but still laid back and relaxed.

Unfortunately often full of Skinner's pupils using it like a study room. All well behaved I have to say, just meaning that you often can't find a seat.

So ordinary stick to basil or best by far is Black Dog

Currently sitting having a hot tea, my table is filthy and my tray had hot chocolate all over it and the tea pot was dirty. Needs a really good clean.

After having complained recently about how the outside seating was deteriorating in appearance and general hygiene the issue has now been rectified so I think it’s only fair now to re review

Locals will know of the uproar when Costa judged the ambition to spread the business footprint, calling this branch Southborough - whilst it is firmly in Tunbridge Wells. That's sorted somewhat, as the location name still features inside the store. It's all samey-samey Costa, but acceptable.

To slow run by kids and coffee is always cold use the one in industrial est much better

Over the last 6 months have visited on few occasions, the outside where there are seats is over grown with weeds, so neglected wild bushes Now growing, which are over taking what was planted there originally. Rubbish strewn amongst them. I have complained to the staff but nothing happens and have given them my mob so the Mgr could call me but no such call.

Not too busy, fast and friendly service. The only downside was a broken toilet lock and a rather filthy loo.

Coffee shop that sells coffee just how you like it... nice atmosphere, has a loo, drinks & snacks. Has no parking but good place to go whilst your car is being looked at across the road or you're waiting on your laundry in the launderette to finish etc

I stop at Costa St. John’s on the way london 8.30 this morning I grab takeaway Americana and latte. Latte was warm like its heated under moonlight. I throw away got me new one at my workplace

Great place for a quick coffee.

Great vegan hot chocolate. We asked if there were any vegan options on the food and sweet treat side of things but sadly not - they really should expand their range. It would be lovely to see a vegan chocolate cake or two :)

fantastic coffee very young staff so all the critics give them a chance as I really do believe they are trying there best , there is one young lady I think she maybe Greek always helpful next time I write review ill get her name so i know this is big franchise company keep a eye on her she maybe area manager material or some on to go in and train but very good quality and some cakes are covered cover them all make it costa policy no one wants dry cake

Went in for cakes and coffee. Not very much left in cakes or sandwiches. We did stay and it was pleasant but definitely didn’t get what we would have chosen given fuller stocks

Ordered two coffees to take out & a Bakewell tart the coffee was ok but usually try not to buy in Costa anywhere because it's over priced had better coffee elsewhere & cheaper don't normally buy their cakes either but was traveling through & was peckish the cake was hard dry & tasteless also well over priced did not enjoy it at all however on a good note the staff seemed friendly & I was served fairly quickly

We called in here for coffee on our way home to Yorkshire. The coffee as is usual in Costas was very good. My daughter had a hot chocolate. It was so cold outside in the snow and she needed a hot comforting drink. We were tempted by the Millionaire shortbread biscuits which were delicious. Maybe because of the snow the inside of the cafe wasn't great, with large puddles of water and sticky unlean floors under a few tables. The service was a bit slow. There was a waitress, lacking in enthusiasm walking around trying to find a home for a panini without success. It's an OK venue for a quick pop in revival drink.

Great coffee and hot chocolate staff know what they are doing and are friendly

Normally this place is great - but around lunch hour it rapidly falls, likely due to small number of staff and lack of workspace. But I ordered a large old paradise street Americano, and got served a medium in a large cup - I know the extra is just water is this case because it was so bitter but it was more I couldn't say anything simply because they were so busy and no one was free to talk to. Not one of my best costa experiences.

Excellent location, good sized coffee shop with plenty of seating. Open until 6pm on a Sunday which is great for lazy afternoons.

This Costa has very friendly, welcoming and genuine staff which is a nice change to add to your morning latte. These Baristas love their job, getting that perfect flat white pattern or making the whipped cream look pretty, it's shown that their objective is to deliver exceptional service, whether it's helping out a mother with a pram opening the door, or carrying drinks over to a table for an elderly couple, that kind of thought. It's obvious to see that serving a customer is the most important thing for them as a team, during busy hours they work together to make their customers visit as pleasant as they can influence. The smile and politeness of the staff is something that can really create a welcoming atmosphere for customers of all ages, whether they are there for a catch up with an old friend, revising for exams, or just grabbing a quick coffee before work. The majority of the staff are all very new to the job, and currently without a manager, the store is struggling with keeping their high standard of Costa drinks. This is an issue that should not be blamed on the Baristas, to become a confident barista, it takes a couple of months to get used to the system to be able to make 3 drinks at once. The staff are all relatively young and they are always happy to help with a problem with a smile, whether it's 6:30am or one minute before closing time. The majority of this Costa's customers are school children, meaning every weekday at 3:40pm a swarm of kids and teenagers pile up for their long awaited hot chocolate or fudge milkshake. There is a lot of reputation about customers wanting particularly personalised drinks, however this is something that the Baristas remember. They have hundreds of customers a day yet you would be surprised how many of those are regulars. They know exactly what to make as soon as the customer comes through the door, they usually have a small chat with them about their day whilst they make their coffee. It adds a comforting and reassuring atmosphere about the shop, knowing that the staff are friendly, and hope to make their customers day a little bit brighter.
