Costa Coffee in Wyre

stopped by the south services for a coffee at the costa on my way back from Glasgow. I was served by a lovely young lady named Sophie, was puzzled by the variety of options of coffee they now have but she was patient and helpful in assisting my choice. Would definitely stop here again.

Staff more intrested in singing, speak to customers with an attitude. Terrible coffee, burnt roast. Do yourself a favour, dont stop here, carry on going to where you are heading and d get a coffee there.

We stopped here on our motorway journey northbound. We bought a coffee in Costa where the staff were more interested in talking among themselves than serving customers and due to lack of seating, we sat in our car to drink before heading off.

Obvious insist you wear masks, not a problem but they were not cleaning tables. Food was just tasteless. Wont be going back.

Stopped here for quick bite and coffee. Coffee was good, strong and hot. Sandwich was mediocre. The biggest issue was the services are in an old building and it was not warm. The only saving point was the staff were friendly efficient and helpful.

Kind of guessed we’d be paying through the nose for the convenience of stopping here, but nearly £15 for 2 hot drinks & 2 filled rolls was steep. Plus the bacon roll was very dry , & the bacon was very fatty & ended up removing half the fatty rind off it. Went for the gingerbread hot chocolate and it was very gloopy with an artificial taste, so won’t be making the mistake of ordering that again. Did enjoy the novelty of sitting in the motorway flyover and watching all the traffic speeding by.

Been to this costa twice both times the services was horrendous the staff are just stood around chatting to one another, both occasions I ordered Xmas special hot chocolate and both time they missed the dark Forrest sauce and cream and everything and just served normal hot choc s after charging the extra for the Xmas special terrible on both occasions avoid

Myself and work colleagues have used this Costa on a monthly basis for the past few years. The service is always superb, and efficient. The staff are very friendly, and always service with a smile and joke. Liv (Olivia) is very friendly and professional, and always has a smile.

I visited Costa at Forton/Lancaster services on 23 July at around 7pm. I ordered a latte and a piece of gateaux, to eat in. The latte was served in a paper cup and the gateaux in a paper bag. When I asked why these had not been served in the normal manner the reply was that their dishwasher was broken. No apology, just a statement. How they expect customers to sit at their tables and eat a piece of gateaux from a paper bag is a mystery to me. Why didn't the assistant state at the outset that they had no proper drinks vessels and no plates ? Useless.

This has to be the blandest flat white ever, and I had it remade once. When it was returned I was told it had been made with the correct number of shots. But it's barely better than drinking hot milk. Sorry.

Particularly disappointed in Forton services and a completely wasted visit was avoided by Costa. The staff were really friendly, most helpful and even recommended a rival when they only had one teacake left. Above and beyond expectation.

Oh dear, best bit is the concrete watch tower Expensive Best to come off the motorway, much better value to be had

Never been to a Costa coffee where the barista was so rude and uninterested in doing his job. At first he didnt even look up leading me to think they be closed

We love Costa coffee but I would never chose to stop here the sure ice is very poor one girl doing till and drinks with a que while the manage wipes down the top sorry but service is more important and NO cup holders which is really bad carrying hot drinks

thier are cakes porridge toasties biscuits all sorts of teas and coffees the staff are very nice plenty of seats when ots not busy with hoildays travellers and coaches

As usual Costa is the best although a little pricey. Staff were friendly and courteous as always in Costa,

I have never, ever, ever been in a Costa so slow. Two teenage boys serving as barristas so ineffective that customers self service of tea and coffee would be quicker. Manager seems more interested in topping up the biscuit shelf oblivious to the massive queue and her snail paced colleagues. Give me strength! Is this the pace of life round here? Driving back to London pronto....

It is just a coffee shop and I had a peppermint tea which would be quite hard to mess up, but the staff were friendly which is what you need after a soul-sapping motorway drive.

Firstly there are several Costas at this services (Forton) and so this review is for the one upstairs next to Arlos. I often stop here to and from trips to the Lakes as it can be accessed from both sides of the service area via an enclosed footbridge. I enjoy the Costa here and the services is good, with the staff being chatty and friendly but not pushy, the only exception has recently left. I enjoy a nice cup of cafe latte or sometimes eg mocha and they are happy to make it with soya milk. I also like a creamy serving on top of my drink and they are usually happy to let me have that as well. Occassionally other patrons can be a bit loud, such as people on their way back from weddings, Blackpool days out or Manchester United matches but generally I havn't had any issues. Also sometimes groups of locals are there, especially in the early hours, and they can sometimes be quite loud and sweary about eg football, gambling and stuff but they are never a big problem and they seem to know the staff.

Don't get me wrong - the staff were having a great time, chatting with each other, wandering off to talk to other shops staff, chuntering over how busy it was - but when it comes to their actual job of creating coffee, they didn't seem so eager. By some margin, the longest I've ever had to wait to get a coffee.

One expects to overpay when travelling on Motorways - for both food and fuel.

Stopped off for a break while driving North on the M6. I'm used to the usual polite but impersonal service from Costa... but the staff here were fantastic. If you want a real place to chill and smile, ignore the others and go here :D

What can you say about Costa Coffee shops, even those run by a major catering outlet. They sell fairly good food, give a not bad service and charge high prices.
