Costa Coffee in Sefton

Not enough staff to cover until 9pm, so closed at 3pm- shame as it is in a hospital. Other places may be open, but not exactly what you want

I have just been to place a order for 4 drinks and unable to go back to complain as im in work and cant find another way to complain as the number on the receipt is disconnected. The order was completely wrong, only 1 out o 3 drinks correct, one had massive lumps of hot chocolate powder in and both latte orders where wrong even though the order was clarified 3 times. really not happy with the order we received.

Really tasty and still hot when we received it (which is a big plus) really enjoyed it, definitely order again.

No idea why this place only gets 4 out of 5. Imo, the best Costa in Liverpool. Flat whites are almost always perfect, staff positive helpful and have a "can do" attitude. Clean and a positive experience. Only issue is it gets busy sometimes cause it's so good and positioned in a busy location.

The order didn’t have the drink if this was the case we wouldn’t have placed the order as it wasn’t fair on the child who didn’t get the drink

Well the team were brilliant today, Amy was so helpful and really nice. The place was spotless, the drinks were hot and quick. (A bit like me) I love all the staff in there I don’t even have to say my order they all know. Very hard to have a personal connection with the team that’s really nice. Thank you everyone for your hard work and looking after us

Delicious coffee and cakes, staff very polite and friendly, we was served by Lewis and Jo at Costa Aintree , and they got a great service skills , very friendly and provided service on a very high standard . This is the DIRTIEST Costa I’ve ever seen around! Not only that, the “deputy manager” Steph was extremely rude and unpleasant even after leaving 9£ for 2 coffees made like they were made by kids, with the arm of the coffe maker leaking dirty water inside the coffe that she threw into the milk. I originally ordered an ice coffee which I was answered “we’re not making them because we have no cups” - when I saw a big new bag of cups for ice coffee on the table I asked gently if those weren’t the ones, Steph got irritated by the question and said no those are for another store. I left the store and went back in just to see her opening the cups and putting tiding them in place, like bruh??? When I asked for a napkin she threw it at me since she was still irritated. This woman genuinely needs a proper training of how to handle customer professionally ASAP! And also one on how to handle raw milk outside the fridge and how tf to clean the coffee machine!!!!!!

Definitely won't be ordering from here again I've ordered some breakfast for the kids and received 3coffies instead dreadful

I took my daughter for a coffee, on entering the shop we were met by two very happy friendly workers by the names of Steph & Grace. They were so friendly and helpful in advising us on which drinks to purchase. These two young girls made our evening. I really wish all costa staff were like these two, Well in girls Shell & Soph

Didn’t even give me the right order. Food was missing items. Now just eat won’t refund. Absolute joke of a service

They sent all drinks on time wrote on the hot chocolate drinks HC so we could identify them but didnt mark the skimmed latte and the sticky toffee latte so unable to identify which one was which so unable to drink my drink waste of money

Absolutely shocking. I ordered mac and cheese and instead of cancelling my order because they’d run out, they sent me a panini and just wrote a note saying ‘sorry sold out’. Absolute WASTE of a service charge and delivery fee. Phone lines are down too so I can’t even get in contact with them for a refund.

Bad: The high chair was absolutely disgusting, a girl in the bar (a customer called her stef) was horrible and rude (needs proper training and manners). Good: the coffee was absolutely tasty, the place was clean (as soon as someone left the dishes got picked up quick)

I ordered 2x drinks and 2x chocolate twists, the drinks was not very warm and they never delivered the chocolate twists. the just eat driver didn't speak English so was unable to assist me. This was not down to just eat this error was due to Costa, I will not order from them again.

Food was lovely drinks were nice but ordered an iced latte and received a hot one…bit of a shame but not to worry!

I did not receive the bacon barm just the donut tried to claim back still have not received refund for the bacon barm

The cappuccino had no froth or chocolate as ordered and there was no black americano and the bottom of the latte cup was split.

Their hours on Google are wrong. Thought they were open until 9:00pm on a Friday but they are only open until 8:00pm. They keep the tables clean and are very friendly here. Lots of free parking, inside a shopping center. Thank you!

Spot on time coffee was hot. Order was correct. And even put marshmallows in separate bag. Instead of ruining the coffee with them. Well done really enjoyed for a change. Thank you.

Don't want to leave a star but had 2 to leave a review,went in at 6.50 to place an order only to be told there not taking orders inside only to go through the drive through when it clearly states open until 8.

Food was over an hour late and when it did come they didn’t put in one toastie and two drinks as they said they had no more left but they didn’t ring to see if we wanted anything else after waiting over an hour for the food I would like a refund on the items I didn’t recieve thanks

They need to widen the drive through went for bubble tea for the kids only to be told they had none....then had to wait in the que to leave as there is no other option.

Constant alarm… sweeping under the tables whilst eating… air conditioning on full… it’s FEBRUARY!! Mopping the floors…. seating blocked off…. If it where closing time I may have put it down to timing however it’s 3 hours from closing! All I ordered was packaged to take away! It’s cold! It’s noisy! We’re being pushed out 3 hours before closing with unwelcoming looks from all members of staff. Utterly appalling.

Some customer service training required here. Facing an argumentive attitude from the barista when I was not happy with the preparation of my drink marred the whole relaxation aspect of a coffee shop.

had an offer which gave us a free drink so opted for the large got served a giant cup with handles on both sides great coffee and hot chocolate

Costa is a well visited place of mine.... What's a trip out without a Costa hey?? Well if your out in aintree don't bother here it's dirty with no atmosphere and staff who want to do the bear minimum.... The furniture needs replacing or at least deep cleaning and the staff need to up their game... Was served 2 hot chocolates with our mini gingerbread men hand picked from the jar and then dumped on the tray without a plate or a napkin in site... Won't be returning this is the 2nd time I've used this Costa came back thinking the staff where maybe just having a bad day apparently not!

Always understaffed! Never anyone to clean the tables and the staff always seem crazy busy. Think they need to stop being tight in wages and just get a few more staff working

So came here today everything we ordered we got told no we don't have that or we don't have the sryup to make that either. I asked if they could do the fudge brownie frappe they said yes I ordered 3 drinks for out party the fudge brownie came with no chocolate sauce or sprinkles when I asked I got told well we don't have them when asked if i want another drink i said you don't have anything else. Bear in mind this is before 4 and we were already getting told it was take out only. When I told the tall dark girl I will just take a refund she walked in the back and sent her mate out to do it. Who clearly couldn't and struggled to do the refund so she had to help anyway. Why not just do it at the beginning instead of just walking off??

My food says delivered but have not received the order at all!!!!!!!! Why can’t I get in touch with the driver!!!!!

The place was so filthy. The floors were a mess and any empty tables had dirty trays on them, some dirty trays were even placed on the side by the window so other customers could use the table. I had to ask for paper towels to wipe our table with. The spoon we were given for our cake wasn't clean either. Went the loo before we left, there's only 1 toilet and the toilet seat wasn't even attached. It was leaning on the side of the toilet on the floor. And toilet itself was filthy. This is in no way the fault of the staff. There was only 3 of them. 1 for the drive thru, 1 to ask customers what they wanted to order and 1 to make the drinks. They are seriously understaffed and whoevers running the place should never let the place run with so few people. I feel bad for them as you could tell they were rushed off their feet but were pleasant and gave amazing customer service. They're the only reason I'm not giving it a 1 star.

Pleasant enough... typical Costa. Choice of muffins, cakes, sandwiches, wraps, baps. Plenty of parking as it is situated in Aintree Industrial Estate. It also offers a drive-thru facility (I did not use this service so, I cannot comment).

Not enough staff. We went at 11am and the tables were not cleared and the 2 staff were rushed off their feet.

Enjoyed my coffee, staff need to concentrate on the customers more than having full blown conversation with themselves and leaving you standing there
