Ordered food and drinks, one of the drinks had quite obviously lipstick around the edge of the glass which I noticed as it was out on the table, I pointed it out so the man serving us quickly said he would get it changed. He brought it back and the lemon in the glass had lipstick on were it had touched the lipstick on the glass. We didn't bother addressing it the second time as it felt like a waste of time.

Popped in for a drink and ordered some nachos. Drinks was OK the nachos, well all I can say is that I have had better in other pubs. Inside was busy, the service was good, clean and spacious and the beer garden was inviting despite its a suntrap when the sun was shining. Not much shade though.

Very nicely refurbished spoons with pleasant staff and good quality ale. Close to the train station heading into Liverpool.

Staff never look happy, always running out of ice, but don't bother telling you until after you ordered, tables dirty, just not a good place. Update: why are male staff members checking the female toilets when female staff are working and why is nobody in the pub tackling the amount of people vaping in the place, blowing clouds of vape into the air ( or under the table as they obviously know they are not supposed to be doing it) when I for one don't want to be breathing in their breath particles especially as covid is on the rise again? The place is a mess! Update; nothing's changed, still unhappy staff, can't get orders right, the place still a mess, kids running all over the place, no clean tables, toilets awful, some women are a disgrace!!! Update: ffs! Why why why does it not get any better in here!!!! Serve people in order, stop looking like there's a bad smell on your moustache (female) and do what is needed, serve in a nice manner, in order and do what I ask! It's not rocket science!!!!!!!! Does nobody read these? Update: why can't I go in and buy 1 pint and get several free like they do with coffees/ teas and pocket the tea bags and sugar etc? STOP IT!!! Give people who buy a coffee a token for a free one, if you really must cause nobody else does, that must cost a bloody fortune!!!!!! Update: what's going on with the absolutely disgusting women in this place? Can't flush toilets, can't close lids on sanitary bins, you are all such a treat!!!!

Had a great breakfast, service was fantastic. It's such a shame there are so many people vaping inside. The staff asked a few of them to stop but then continued when the staff member left. I'd urge Spoons to make their No Vaping policy more visible and properly enforce it. We had planned to stay for a few pints but moved down the road to another pub, which has zero tolerance for vaping.

Had lunch with my cousin. Lovely afternoon with plenty of seating outside. Food is always good value for money. Very lucrative for a late decision to eat out. Had a couple of lovely cask beers. Ordered the gourmet sirloin steak and it's was mainly grizzle. The barmaid was lovely and energetic until she got my drink order wrong and then said "well I've started pouring it now". I did get the drink I ordered in the end but her whole attitude changed. Probably won't bother going back there as better establishments in the area

A friendly venue very popular with small groups which suits the 4 and a few 6 seater table layouts. The food and drinks offered are quite varied (some unusual beers and lagers) with specific curry or steak nights during the week. Parking is on street only so it helps if you can minimise your needs or be prepared to search for a spot. The staff are helpful and the service is quick for the dishes they offer. Portion sizes are excellent. Dishes with multiple meats like the mixed grills are in my view less apitizing than the single meat dishes. The venue is an ex-Cinema with brick walls which reflect sound. This can make it quite noisy when full of patrons. An economical place for friends to meet up.

This pub has improved immensely since it first opened, food was served quickly and was very tasty, attentive staff, a thoroughly enjoyable visit! Update 9/10, what a joke place is back to what it was when it opened, serving drinks on a weekend and not a bit of ice in the place, joke!!!! Or is it, spent a tenner on warm drinks, never again!!!!!! Update:tables filthy as per normal, a member of staff came into check toilets, just signed without checking, triclk seele of water coming out of taps, bloody awful !!!

Nice building but sticky tables, grubby floor, and the food wasn't great on the Friday lunchtime we visited.

I came today with my daughter that's on the spectrum. The noise got too much and I needed to take her home. I had a cup of tea that I hadn't finished, I asked for a takeaway cup and got told that I would need to pay for a whole new cup of tea. Not happy with the lack of support for carers/parents with those with disabilities! I asked two members of staff and was told the same.

Busy Wetherspoons pub. Bit unruly early evenings, families and so, but settles down later. Food was okay, and not expensive. Staff okay. Generally everything just average, not outstanding or great, but not bad either.

Not a bad Spoons, no decent beers on, just a couple of average ones and the regulars. Food was fine, Spoons food served well.

Went for lunch, was hoping for cheap and cheerful food (you get what you pay for) but got burnt offerings completely inedible. Sent plate back and they redone it, it came back in a timely manner and looked ok, but came with a side of eggshell and some other crispy stuff that looked like it had been scraped off the bottom of a frying pan. Sent back and refund asked for. As for the place itself. It was busy but there were empty tables which hadn't had plates cleared off and tables hadn't been wiped down, overall a very disappointing birthday lunch.

Well food was small for the money was expensive for what I got small amount of chips and burger was thin ....... southport weatherspoons has bigger portions for sure

Ordered Scampi, chips and peas. I've heard of triple cooked chips, but mine looked like they'd been cooked over 3 different day's. The food itself was also barely warm. Not the best of experiences. I suppose, you get what you pay for.

Enjoy going here, food usually quite good and of course prices in Spoons usually good and good selection of drinks. Used app, had everything we wanted and service was really quick. Always busy here though and do usually find issues where things like seats are ripped and slightly broken. Place could do with a bit of a refresh

Not the best Wetherspoons that I've been in... And I am now a bit of a connoisseur. I had the mixed grill, and although it was fine, it was possibly the thinnest piece of steak that I've ever seen. Service was good, although the app wouldn't let me order food at 12 for some reason (maybe not the pubs fault)

Disappointing Ordeal In my recent visit to this Wetherspoons establishment, I found the experience to be rather lackluster. Despite the promising ambiance and courteous service, the meal underdelivered in a crucial aspect: portion size. Regrettably, the dish I ordered was served with a disappointingly scant amount of chips, failing to meet even modest expectations. Such oversight in portion control detracted significantly from an otherwise acceptable dining experience. While the establishment shows potential, its failure to provide adequate servings warrants a two-star rating.

Never had a problem with staff here, or the food. Always consistent and never fails to satisfy my simple diet. The place has gone downhill somewhat this last year or so, possibly since the Bootle one shut. Now all the gobby ones come here, often the language is terrible especially as there's often children around. Recently witnessed a member of staff on the receiving end of some vile verbal abuse from some irate little slapper. Felt terrible for the poor lady on the bar, she didn't deserve that. No fault of the company, as its a cheap enough pub afterall. I just don't feel as relaxed here as before.

I go here regularly with the service users I support. We always enjoy the food.

Basically open plan with hidden coves. Service was professional and pleasant Toilets were dim, upstairs(well it is a Wetherspoons) Happily go back.

Great place to eat for a really reasonably priced meal, lots of choice on the 3 For £10 MENU most mesls come with a free drink staff are really friendly and professional we eat there about 3-4 times z month as a family

It's a Spoons. Cheap (not as cheap as it was) and almost cheerful. Pleasant enough when we were last in. Food was on the good side this time but I suppose it depends who's in the kitchen. We've had some of our better quality Spoons meals in this one. My pint this time was actually very good being Brightside's, Manchester Skyline. It's a 'lively' place. Tons of very young kids on our visit. Sit back and take it all in. Good luck.

My favourite pub, call in twice a week for a drink, great community feel,great staff all worked there for long time, occasionally have our tea there food is good and always hot.

Shocking place, took my 78 year old dad in for something to eat. The place wasn't that busy, but they stopped serving food because the chef couldn't cope, due to the fact he was training 2 members of staff or so the manager told me. After about 20 mins they started to serve food again, well that's what I thought, but they couldn't fulfil half the order. I have been to weatherspoons all over the country from London and Cornwall to the Lakes, I have never been so disappointed as I was last night. Also the fact that someone has pointed out that this is not the way an establishment should be run, and gives them critical criticism does not mean that they are being horrible and aggressive. Do yourselves a favour, there are a lot of good local places to eat around waterloo and give this place a swerve.

Casks good. Went in for food with family. Everything we went to order they had run out of. No gammon, no fish, no steak and kidney pie and didn't have the curry we wanted. Thought it was a joke at first tbh. We just ended up with a burger which tbh wasn't brilliant. Chips were luke warm. Onion rings were all stuck together and burger was cooked but once again luke warm. Made me think had they been already cooked and sitting under the lights to keep warm. Shame really as I like this pub but won't bother with the food again

Had our breakfast here Witherspoon used to serve a good breakfast going by what we had not anymore.

The night started off great, right up until we arrived at Wetherspoons . We often come here for breakfast and drinks and always enjoy our time there. I ordered a curry to eat which I often have for my dinner. The manager I cannot remember her name and I will not be going back to request it! (She walked past and her Hair went right through my curry.) I have never made a trip advisor review before but I feel this like this needs Addressing. I wanted to mention what had happened to the manager but It was the manager who ruined my meal. I have anxiety and I was worried that she might try to dent it and argue with me and then it would of ruined my night even more.

Busy place,very vibrant & social place, only had drinks, excellent service & very happy with venue.
