Why we as a nation think it has become acceptable to pay over £5 for a coffee is one thing, but if I do decide to I would hope for decent service and a lovely coffee. This Costa fails on both accounts and worse still gives you half a cup, only noticed as I sat in car or it would of been thrown back. Do yourself a favour and drive on for 16 miles to get a Starbucks.

Second time I’ve visited and been greeted with the worst customer service. Went with my partner and got treated as if I were invisible.. I was clearly in-front so should’ve been acknowledged even if we weren’t ordering together. The old workers are nothing but sharp and judgemental when answering questions about the drinks. Can only give one star for the fact that I got my coffee.

Would usually have given this place 0 stars for the rude lady with glasses on the southbound services. However today was greeted by the absoloutley loveliest staff member, she had blue streaks in her hair. Made my usual biweekly stop by alot nicer and greeted with a smile and amazing customer service. I've been doing these drives up to my mum bi weekly for 4 years now and since I can remember it's always been the lady with glasses. I know we all have bad days and weeks but every week was greeted with a cold and horrible attitude. Very pleased with my service by this lady today. Please employ more people like her costa.

Rip Off parking Have visited this Costa on my way to work once or twice as week for the last four months. Staff always very polite and helpful with quick service. Unfortunately I will not be visiting again any time soon as the charge for parking outside has rocketed to £2.00 for a minimum stay of one hour. What absolute pillock came up with that idea? Just another case of how much money can you screw out of the public. Sorry guys, won’t pay such extortionate price for stopping to pay for a coffee.

Absolutely dreadful place. Rude, frankly bone-idle staff completely lacking any basic service skills. Dirty counter, very poor-tasting drinks, unbelievably slow service. Costa is hardly the gold standard of coffee, but you almost always know what you’re getting and there’s a brand standard that’s usually consistently upheld. This branch fails to reach anywhere near this standard on all counts - area management needed asap!

When you ask for a drink directly from the menu and are told it can't be made that way. Politely I reply "oh, it says it on the menu...". I choose not to add that I've had it before, as it is a relatively new item so at this point I'm not judging her for not knowing it well. Miss Barely Friendly on the other end of the intercom asks me to wait a second. Several seconds later and Miss Barely Friendly seems to be Miss I Hate Being Proven Wrong because her attitude has shot through the ceiling and she proceeds to give the grumpiest service I've ever seen. All it needed was an "oh, my mistake". I drove up to the window still unsure she was even going to make the drink I asked for as she never confirmed that it actually can be done. Her tone of voice told me enough that I chose not to question. They get 2 stars because the Millionaire's Shortbread I also ordered was DELICIOUS!!!

Very poor. Took ages to be served even though I was the only one waiting at the time. They were on their phones and chatting to one another. Then took my order without making eye contact. went and sat down but realised I didn't have a napkin. Went back and they were chatting again. Passed me one napkin through the screen again without making eye contact and with phone still in her hand. Food and coffee poor too. One of the worse Costas I've visited recently.

At time of my visit this place was run by inexperience staff, there uniforms looked unwashed filthy grump…!they didn’t know how to make a black forest I had to ask them to add on the top of the cream chocolate chips and a young lad didn’t take it nice that he was so angry that he gave me a dirty looks probably if He could had probably it would have knocked my teeth down my throat. There was no ice ( which I really doubt it ) the main coffee machine espresso was so dirty filthy unbelievable, don’t think would stop 🛑 in near future Just to clarify this on main Building towards London

I went to the newly opened Costa coffee in Bramingham, Luton. I dont think the toilets have been cleaned since it opened. If it wasnt for the face I was so desperate I would certainly have not had used the facilities. It was that bad I used toilet paper to push the flusher. S*** skids all in the toilet pan, bin was over flowing, hair and dirt round the loo, dust everywhere. Makes me dread to think how clean it is behind the kiosk 🤢

The ice machine has never worked at the drive through. Today they said it's because they can't be bothered as it takes too long. Ice driven through here once a week for about 2 years and have never had an iced anything as they've always said it was broken.

With a 10 week old puppy in a front-carried rucksack, I was hoping to add a cafè to her socialisation experience. I was refused service in a very abrupt, unpleasant manner and when asked if I could just get a coffee to consume outside, there was no offer to take my order and bring it out to me, just a further refusal of service. Company policy aside, there are ways of treating a customer! I took my business to an independent down the high street where I was warmly welcomed, puppy and all. I'll be opting for independents and Caffè Nero in the future.

We have ordered 2 coffee, easy, yes? Noooo. It took 4 minutes to serve 1 drink to the car in front of us. When it was our turn drinks were not ready, ok, it happens so we are ready to wait. Then the server asks what is the order? Helloo, I have just done that 5 minutes ago. They have not got it. Ok. I order again. 1 medium latte with caramel, 1 decaf small cappuccino. What? She could not hear so I repeat. Ok. Server disappears for two minutes. Comes back and charges me. I pay. She is gone again. I don’t understand how she can disappear in 12m2 shop. She is back with a medium size decaf cappuccino, supposed to be small. “Oh it is small” she says. Comes back same size latte. Well this one supposed to be a little bigger but not. She does not give a toss of course, walks away. There are 6 cars behind me so I drove off. This shop is on my commute therefore please get someone who can at least serve coffee. And smile. Is it too much to ask for £7 ??

Started at the kiosk but they had poor selection of cakes so went to the main shop. They had 2 'pre-order' screens, presumably to speed up ordering. One broke down and on the other you couldn't order an iced flat white. Eventually placed order for tea and tiffin for my wife and while she queued up at the counter (where 2 staff were standing idle whils the barista frantically tried to fulfil the orders from the screen) I went back to the kiosk, only to find that they had no ice so I ended up with a regular flat white. Very disappointed.

Pleasant enough coffee shop with usual Costa decor. Staff are friendly although it can take a while to get served. However, if you plan to use your mobile or laptop avoid at all costs. The shop has next to no mobile reception and WiFi provided by O2, however, the speed is atrocious and at best hovers around 1mb, and frequently doesn't work at all. Also during the recent refit they have removed all power points along the walls so if you need to plug in whilst using your laptop you will need to look elsewhere.

Just visited Costa at services. Asked for panini and 2 hot drinks. The assistant then placed the order and then left the counter to have her review with her manager. I left standing with no receipt and no food. I was told there was a delay with the drinks because they needed to be checked. I approached the manager who was also in the seated area when I realised our hot drinks were left on the side unattended. I asked for a discount for the lack of service. The manager offered to warm up our drinks and a free cake. I refused both. Poor management.

Go to another place in the service station for a coffee or food. The staff were extremely unhelpful and unfriendly, stating we should use the machines to order, which barely worked and didn't have most of the food we were buying. When asking to pay for the food we couldn't buy, they charged us the complete wrong amount and put through the wrong things on the receipt. I might've excused this if it was busy, it was pretty much completely empty. Easily the worst Costa experience I've had.

This is the email that I was unable to send since nobody over the past four weeks would give my the site manager's email address, his name is Rob O'Connell Dear Rob O'Connell . . . I hope this email finds you well ? I am a regular customer to Toddington Services as I am an HGV driver so often visit your services on a daily basis. Over the years I have come to look forward to chatting briefly with the staff in M&S and Costa as well as Greggs because they are all so very friendly. The reason for this email is because I think Fatima is such a lovely manageress, she is always so friendly and smiles to each person and it would be such a shame if you loose her and have to find a replacement manageress though sadly I think this may be inevitable due to the relentless hours Costa expect her to work. From what I understand she is a mother and her son is only 11 years old, she also has a husband who is not at all happy by the fact that Fatima is unable to tell him which days are her rest days. On Tuesday 28th Aug when I came in to buy a coffee, I asked Fatima which were her days off and how many did she take, but to my astonishment she told me that today was her 8th shift in a row and that she would Not be able to take Wednesday or Thursday off as they must do stock taking and that she hoped she may be allowed Friday off but wasn't sure yet ! I am also aware that because Fatima is a manager she has been expected to work double shifts at times meaning in some cases that she has worked as many as 17 hours in one shift finishing at 9pm and been forced to be back in work at 5am Surely somebody other than me is horrified by the way Costa Coffee are treating her ? You for instance ? Having noticed that there are plenty of comments online regarding the unreasonable hours expected by Costa of their staff I am surprised they are not concerned about their "reputation" What is your opinion and do you think it might be possible for you to intervene and protect Fatima from these exhausting hours ? It is questionable if it is even legal for any company to expect any employee to work 17hrs and then be back the next day having only had 8hrs off, let alone making her work 10 shifts back to back without having a clue when her next rest days will be, how is she supposed to be able to appease her husband or plan her days off with her family if she has no idea when they will be. Personally I believe the Working Time Directive would not allow any employee in the retail sector to work beyond 13hrs and I'm almost sure they must have 11hrs off between shifts. Do you know who I should write to within Costa, as I know for a fact that they treat all their managers with the same unreasonable expectations, to raise these issues and might you be able to step in and police the hours Fatima is working in order that you don't loose this lovely manageress ? Ordered a raspberry lemonade, which they had no raspberry which wasn't an issue, then my mother asked for a chai latte which was tasteless, asked for a chocolate brownie which they didn't have but they sold them in the counter just a few steps away however they refused to get one for my disabled mother. Then to top it off for me, when I handed them a fajita wrap (that needs to be heated up) asked me if I wanted it heated up... Of course I want it heated up if it needs to be heated up!! Poor service overall!

WiFi gratuito no admiten perros, así que dejamos mi chica fuera en el frío. Mucho estacionamiento mesas no había sido despejada así me saco el mío. Se sentó durante 30 minutos no se hubiera molestado en venir y aclarar el follón aclare. Fue muerto y no muy concurrido. Bien es sólo café y qué debo esperar? No mucho es la respuesta, pero un área limpia de estar estaría bien. Me tomó fotografías pero preferimos no publicarlos. El personal es encantador, amable y muy atento. Mi primera vez en una costa creer o no y los precios eran muy altos en ninguna opinión para un café.

One of the most terrible times in costa. When we came in to have a coffee and a sandwich from our journey the first thing greated us is a half empty sandwich fridge. I asked the ladies standing in the back and chatting away if they have any more of the sandiwches who told me straight away that this is all they have not even making an effort to have a look. After that I order coffee to stay in and my partner to take away. I ended up with no spoon to stir my coffee cause they probably thought i dont need it. So I used a wooden stick which is not really helpfull in a small cup. When are sandwiches came out no napkins or knives to cut them up. Which i think is something you give to the customers. Even if you dont provide a knive at least a small paper napkin would be nice. My friend after me was served rudly as well. And the staff member was pulling faces at her when she took her card to fast even tough usually in costa you put youre pin in and after you have to take the card. But the lady at the till didint advise her and got upset when she accidentaly took it. It is enough if you say nicely that you have to wait. Worst expireince ever. You should train youre stuff better or tell them at least to be nicer.

This is one of the most worst Costa coffee shops i have ever costed in my whole life. Took me 20 minutes in the line to even get served!! The staff were all messing around behind the counter laughing speaking about what they was doing last night one was swearing saying how they got laid last night not really appropriate as I had my sister with me who is really young. When it was my turn to be served the staff member looked at me with disgust and served the customer behind of me I will never ever be returning to this Costa ever again

Personally, I think Costa has the best selection of cakes/pastries of all the coffee shops. Especially love their little tarts (only 150 calories each)... Just wish they did more sugar free syrups and wish they sold the mini selection of sugar free syrups.

I was going through the drive thru the other day when I was served by the sweetest boy ever called Logan. He was very positive and provided such an excellent service I came in the store and shook his hand. He is an example barista that everyone should aspire to be like.

When Debenhams changed the style of it's cafe offering, they seemed to have really taken it up market. Standards, particularly those of the staff, had rocketed and although I reckon a lot of folks wouldn't have liked the improvements (old habits die hard), I and many others did.Unfortunately the honeymoon period has clearly passed and this visit was less that satisfactory.Tables littered when we arrived, checkout system slow and food no longer quite as classy as it previously has been.Ordering soup and a jacket potato, we took our seats and waited on it's arrival. After about 10 minutes, the buzzer flashed (they use an electronic table ID system) and we waited expectently for the food to arrive. Nothing! Thinking that perhaps they had changed the system and we should go back to collect it, I headed to the till point. Could see both items sitting under the heat lights but was advised that it would be brought over.Returning, we seemed to wait for ages before the Baked Potato arrived. Putting it down, the waitress advised me that my wife's soup would be following. I was about halfway through my meal as she passed us with two more baked potatoes for another table. Almost finished my meal, the soup finally arrived - along with appologies for the delay.The baked potato was packed with filling but frankly, was mildly warm rather than hot whereas my wife did say her soup was very hot (maybe it was thanks to the time under the heat lights). The salad accompanying it was poor and really only represented compliance with a menu description, certainly not adding to the value of the meal.A real disappointment which left me feeling that Debenhams have allowed their cafe to begin to sink to the depths of the old one which would be a real shame.

Went this morning for breakfast. Literally got our food straight away, you might think this is good, but how long had it been siting there? It was barely warm, so the hot store is obviously not doing it’s job. Food would be better served on a hot plate too. I’d nearly finished my breakfast before my toast arrived. I like to eat it with my my breakfast. If I’d waited though my food would have been stone cold. I did let Morrisons staff know the food was not hot enough. Let’s hope they can improve this.
