Ask too much money cheeper at mcdonals and any cafe next to this place costa coffe bring prices down and gain more people in your cafes

A well needed stop while travelling back to Glasgow, and before tackling the A66. It had been a while since i’d been to Costa, but on the whole this was a very good 20-30 minute stop. I ordered a Medium Latte and a Salted Caramel Brownie - enjoyed both as well as the opportunity to drink from a glass, instead of a takeaway cup! Both items cost around £7.00 in total - slightly dearer but understandably, my colleague and I had stopped at a service station. Verdict - a satisfied customer feeling refreshed for leg two of the journey.

Old woman they put on till does not have a clue how to use it. She messes about with it for 10 minutes then eventually charges you something. When I get back check my bank statement she keeps charging me differently for exactly the same thing. Total Ripoff and lousy manager who puts her on the till.

A A breakdown and im freezing cold got three layers on jumper and a coat that i can not take off hope im compinsated for this from the service station or costa coffee . I was in here on Saturday morning with my partner. The queue seemed short so assumed we would be served quickly. Wrong! What you realise, after waiting several minutes, is that they are prioritising the on line orders first, therefore keeping the customers in the queue in front of them waiting. An elderly couple came in after us. He needed the aid of a stick to walk, and she was clearly getting on as well. They were forced to wait ten minutes or so to be served. This cannot be right can it? Very unhappy with this experience. Costa, get this sorted. If you're going to take on line orders, separate the two jobs. Have a separate window with extra staff to cover the job.

Arrived approx 2:30 today so probably missed the lunchtime throng. Ordered a quick flat white and sausage roll as I was on the return journey home and both were perfect. Place was nice and clean and the staff were friendly. A member of staff stayed with a dog at the entrance for 2 mins to help its owner out. A nice touch. Can’t fault the place, staff or food. Thank you. Looking forward to calling in again.

We stopped by for a pot of tea and cake and were concerned about hygiene practices. The server picked up our cups with thumb and forefinger over the rim of the cup, not by the handle, with her thumb inside the cup. She then filled the small jugs of milk on the counter and placed them inside the cups. We didn't think this was very hygienic and think all staff should be reminded about how to handle the crockery with hygiene in mind.

Very bad customer service,bitter coffee. They have no clue how to make nice coffee. When choosing sandwiches was told „ I have to do it quicker because there is a queue” this is not a good customer service. Will not be back.

All good quality products from this chain. This time proved no exception. With it being a hot day, we opted for cold drinks, water for my husband and an iced mocha for me. Drinks well made and staff helpful and pleasant. Only slow service let it down but understandable with the restrictions in place. Will be back again on our next break!

Myself and my colleague visit this particular Costa at least once a week sometimes two or three times when our business allows.. We will even go out of our way to make a visit here. The staff are friendly as you are greeted with a very warm welcome on every visit. The coffee is first class.

Always stop here as it is a smaller services, with all the amenities needed. Even better than most with ensuring social distancing remains in place. It was a hot day, so I opted for a coffee frostino, while my husband had a latte. Great drinks, at a great price. Always reliable and consistantly good.

I visit here about 3 times a year. Always receive a polite and friendly welcome. Great coffee. Good location

Excellent service by a very pretty blonde woman who was friendly and happily served me, at midday Thursday, a quickly and friendly experience. My coffee was a lot better than the tea I'd got elsewhere.! Thanks for cheering up my long drive.7

I have been travelling between Scotland and England for around 35 years now in a regular basis and have seen loads of change on the route. Scotch Corner is always a good place to stop off and since it moved in we always visit the Costa. Staff are great, prices are a tad higher than the high street but i have not been disappointed yet.

Stopped near Scotch Corner for the night. Went to Costa for a coffee and a snack. Can't fault it nice Americano and toasted sandwiches.

We choose Costa at these services as it seemed to be the only place where you could sit. It was the usual Costa drinks, cakes, etc. which was fine. There's other outlets on site such as Greggs but only takeaways.

The outlet is clean and tidy, the coffee and cakes were the usual high standard but it was more expensive than most others I’ve been to. Presumably why it was quiet in comparison to the other options?

Was glad to find a Costa in this busy service station, just off the A1, on our travels to the Lake District and back. The Costa is located inside the establishment and there is a series of steps to gain entrance; the coffee was good but expensive (costa lota!). We appreciated the comfortable chairs and sofas in the seating area, and, in addition, the bathrooms were very clean. We also visited the Greggs situated outside, and were able to resume the journey refreshed. Definitely one of better place to stop at.

A costa coffee is a treat for me, I feel it’s overpriced, not that hot, but strangely satisfying on the rare occasion than I purchase one. This time was at the services, very busy area, long wait for coffee and even longer for toasted sandwich, in a place that is a quick pit stop, this felt like a long drawn out wait, that left me frustrated, queueing then waiting, not a relaxing experience at all.

Despite there not being enough staff on to cope with the amount of customers I was impressed with how clean it was. The staff were very robotic. We had a toastie which was only toasted on one side. A toastie, a latte and a hot chocolate £12. We wouldn't mind paying this if you got some interaction from the staff, but you don't. Be aware that there is a time limit on the car park.

Unfortunately we had a problem with our car on the A1 and had to be towed into the services. We were freezing cold after being stood outside waiting for 3 hours to be recovered. There were 3 adults and a 7 year old child.this was the coldest day of the year so far. Sue was an absolute angel and made sure we were warm and founds us some comfy seats to sit in until we could get picked up. The tea and coffee were spot on too. Thank you Sue x

We stopped at Scotch Corner on our way back from holiday. Usually it is for food, but we only wanted a drink and opted for here. However, with only one barista on duth, service was very slow. Drinks were made to our order, but the time it took to get served, we might as well have gone to full restaurant, rather than the smaller concession. This being near lunch, and getting busier by the minute, it would make more sense to have another staff member on duty.!

Nice location for stop off or meeting point with a large busy car park, the usual 2hr limit isn’t a problem.

8am Monday, dirty tables, uncollected used plates and cups and staff who appear so disengaged. #wish I'd gone to Greggs

My 11 year old stood for 5 minutes in a queue for a brownie and Imogen completely ignored her and served another 2 customers. My daughter got upset and walked out. I waited patiently and told Imogen what she’d done and she never apologised to me. I told her my child was upset and should I send her apologies and she still ignored me. No charisma at all and needs training.

Yes this is a standard Costa Coffee but in a convenient location near the motorway so very handy. The staff were good and it was nice to get out of the car for 40 minutes.

The coffee here remains good and the service is friendly and quick which it needs to be at such a location. I often stop here on my way up North. It can get very busy in the car park though however today it was fine.

Called in for a quick take out latte this morning at 07.20 as usual the express service counter near the door was unmanned. Joined the queue at the restaurant counter/service area. Ordered a large latte to take out, no interaction forth coming from any of the three staff. Finally got the coffee handed over and rushed back to the car unbelievably at 07.40. ONCE back on the road took a swig and got a mouthful of frothy milk with a vague taste of coffee. Another mouthful of the same crap for heavens sake three people can't even make a coffee won't be returning.

I was on a road-trip to visit friends on Saturday 20th Jan. I called in for a take-away coffee and the young woman behind the counter was beyond helpful, she made me feel like I was in a top class restaurant - best service EVER, I left there with my one small coffee feeling like a million dollars...what a star! I do hope she goes far in life. Wonderful boost after a stressful week.

Just popped in in way back from York, our Christmas Market holiday . We had food from Marks and drinks from Costa for our Christmas Dinner The 2 staff at Costa were happy seemingly full of beans and dod a great service Top !

We often use Costa Coffee shops on the Motorway Services and have always found the Hot Chocolate the worst I’ve ever tasted, until today that is. We stopped at Scotch Corner fo a hot drink on journey home. The young lady called Karen was serving at the takeout section and she made the best hot chocolate Ive ever had from Costa, plus she was the most friendly of Costa Staff that we’ve been served by. Well done Karen. You should perhaps have her train the rest of the staff how exactly a hot chocolate is made.

Enjoyed this place for breakfast after a stay in the travelodge. Friendly staff and good food and great coffee.

We arrived at Costa well before 9am to find there weren’t any breakfast products for sale at all, only 2 people serving and a queue basically out of the door. What a poor way to run a business at a busy service station.

I don't normally bother reviewing Costa - they are so similar and there is not much to distinguish the usual 'Costa chaos' of understaffed, harassed staff serving overpriced food and drink. However at Scotch Corner despite a very long slow queue the staff were delightful - friendly, helpful and efficient. I can't blame them for being understaffed!

This made a nice break from travelling. The Costa itself is a standard Costa with the addition of friendly, polite staff which always help on a long, tiring journey. Food was fresh and drinks were refreshing.

The staff here are ok. The coffee is not the worst and they seem to have better control of the queue than most costas. Don't like the way they announce how much money you have on your saver card but guess they are ordered to do this.

Mi experiencia si Costa está vinculada principalmente a la venta en Irlanda del Norte. Tanto mi compañero y yo estuvimos encantados y sorprendidos de cómo esta visita fue superior. Personal profesional y debidamente capacitado y experimentado. Servicio rápido y café comparado con el personal lento, y comentara algo fastidioso, ya nos hemos acostumbrado a en NI. Y mi favorito panini tostado correctamente y cata mucho mejor que la tarifa por el agua. Me di cuenta de que las máquinas de tostar fueron diferentes. Cafetería con una amplia variedad de asientos. Exterior no muy apetecible.

Typical Costa coffee with wide variety of breakfast rolls/sandwiches available. Staff were very friendly and tables clean and tidy. Facility has shared toilets which were also reasonably clean for a motorway stop. Cafe kept Costa coffee high standards as usual.

A usual stopping point on our drive up North, as the coffee is good, seating is comfortable and the price is right. Never tried the food, as the dairy-free choice is poor though!

We thought we would try Costa for breakfast but we were surprised at the limited selection of food. The coffee was nice and we settled for some bacon butties. We felt that the place needed a bit of refurbishment. Staff were pleasant and apologetic!

Popped in for breakfast only to find that most of the breakfast items weren't available. They did have bacon roll and toasted teacakes. Coffee was good but overall selection was limited and decor is a bit dated! Time for refresh Costa

had breakfast here, went for coffee and toast here as little choice. coffee fine (usual costa coffee). Toast however was not good. 3 of us had 2 slices each. bottom slice was ok but top slice was very hard on the teeth. not impressed.

Always break my journey up here and get served a latte with a smile.... staff polite and always talk in friendly manor aswell as professionalism....even when stressed with work or journey this stop relaxes me so thankyou Costa gang

Stopped here on route from Cairnryan to Harrogate. We had tea and some very tasty tray bakes all very good and staff were friendly and helpful.

Proper miserable women working behind the counter, service with a smile not here! Hot chocolate was OK though And the mango thing my girlfriend had Some toddler kept screaming was doing my head in so we left sharpish

Good, friendly Costa with approachable staff. My partner tried the breakfast toaster and wasn't keen - I had porridge and honey which was yummy. A good breakfast alternative if you're staying at the Holiday Inn.

Decent Costa coffee, which is usually their standard. Cheese toasties are really good, not much of waiting time. good space to sit down. Overall service station is also decent enough

Stopped in this morning for a few coffees you can expect to pay a little more at service stations but it is daylight robbery and waiting 15 minutes in a queue when there were 3 staff on only one of whom was doing anything she was rushed of her feet with only 4 customers and the other 2 members of staff not even offering to help her felt sorry for her!!! Disappointed

Stopped en route from Lakes to Lincoln. Two coffees and two sarnies £14.02. Whilst sort of convenient this is daylight robbery. Must remember to plan an alternative.

great location for a coffee break in pleasant surrounding close to Scotch Corner on the A1(M).Access easy with sufficient parking and friendly staff.

Stopped here on long trip north in the cold of December. A little expensive but very clean and warm, nice coffee and food. A very pleasant experience.

Pedimos 4 bebidas - 3 como estándar, pero pidió a sólo 1 chupito de café en un café con leche. Nos sirvieron rápidamente, pero una vez en la carretera con bebidas encontramos que el café con leche tenía lo habitual 3 chupitos! Uggggg!! asquerosa. Así que me decepcionó - estoy más que dispuesto a pagar un precio de primera calidad para un café para mi gusto, así que mi solicitud simple fue ignorado era tan frustrante. Ahora, de vuelta a la carretera, con un café no puedo beber (que cuesta £3+) y no otro refresco!!! Personal - de Costa Por favor, tome nota de peticiones especiales

En nuestra opinión, este es un muy limpio y agradable cafetería, que no siempre es el caso en una ajetreada estación de servicio. El personal era muy profesional y servicial. La tienda cuenta con cómodos asientos, además de un excelente café y chocolate caliente y además de la gama habitual de los sándwiches de Costa, tostadas, pasteles y tartas. Comer en, o las comidas para llevar en su viaje. Me gustó que pude conseguir una simple tostadas recién hechas para mí, una vez más, este no es siempre el caso en lugares concurridos. Costa forma parte de una buena variedad de tiendas en los servicios y en general es un lugar muy agradable para tomarse un descanso.

Llamado en los servicios en el camino a los lagos para un café o un bocadillo. Restaurante limpio y ordenado, y el personal es muy agradable. Nuestro pedido para llevar, sándwiches tostados y repleto de cartón corrugado, que nos ayudó a mantener ellos caliente. También en los servicios son un wh Smiths, M&S; comida y un Greggs.

Simplemente darle un lugar típico, no hay mejor no peor que cualquier otra, chica que nos servía era eficiente pero un poco solemne. Café, chocolate caliente no es tan bueno como mi esposa en un establecimiento distinto del día anterior.

Stopped off to refresh on way to Sherwood Forrest. Staff were friendly coffee was great and they had a great selection of snacks and everything was very clean.
