Costa Coffee in South Ribble

With being 78years old I find the cost of Coffee x food is to dear as I can get drinks x cakes much cheaper so I will have to cut back x it's a shame as I love my Costa x they have cut back on staff x they can get jobs anywhere x waiting time is to long also some shops are run down x toilets need maintained x dirty it's a shame

There is a significant drop in the speed of service regarding the time I spend waiting to place & receive my order. I visit daily & I believe that the number of staff appears to have reduced resulting in the drop of customer service.

From a 38 pound order, recieved just 3 items. I am shocked, how do you miss 4 items?????

Slow service and unremarkable chain store food. Suspect it's always a strong ok, but better independent coffee shops are nearby

Nice Costa, flat white was spot on. Potential for rearranging the seats as was a bit tricky finding a space with a pram at 3/4 full. Staff were great.

I haven't eaten there yet but the coffee is good and as expected from Costa. The whole place is very clean and well kept with the staff being friendly and welcoming.

Joke shop, why send a delivery with everything missing I wouldn’t have ordered if you send no food, absolute joke! £22.50 for 2 coffees

All the staff are so friendly they go above and beyond nothing is a problem they really do devote their time to each customer despite big ques big shout out to Katherine and Hannah and to all the staff at this branch.the big change of costa should be proud :) love Molly and Angel xxx

Shocking- cold sausage butty and chocolate tiffin missing

I visit here regularly since the store opened and I’ve never been disappointed. Kirsten who served me today was amazing. She always has a smile on her face, friendly and chatty and always asks how you are and how your day has been. Nice little personal touch to customer service. Also Troy I think his name was, was also very helpful and friendly.

Not only did my daughter have the best ever hot chocolate but Kirsten and Troy are both incredibly kind and attentive.

MAJOR HEALTH RISK TO CUSTOMERS SO AVOID. The cafe has been infested with flies and maggots and the management and owner are aware but will not close the cafe to sort it out due to the loss of income. There are even flies in the coffee. Today I have reported them to the environmental health department at South Ribble Council to try to stop them putting people’s health at risk and breaking food standard laws.

We had an initial problem because they didn't have the non diary milk we ordered. Then they missed an item off the order blaming the delivery driver which was clearly untrue. When we went to collect the missed item of the order the member of staff Ruby was incredibly rude!!!! I will never use this Costa again for delivery or anything else... Absolutely useless!!!

Went for a coffee ☕️ @ 3.30pm. Place was full of mothers, grandparents and children, after school. Consequently service was very slow and the place was extremely noisy. Should have gone to The Artisan next door.

No queue and 17 minutes for one Latte! Called in at 10am Saturday morning and was surprised to find there was No queue - ‘brilliant as I was just nipping on my way to football’. However, I Was not acknowledged or spoken to for 10 minutes!! All 3 staff members were too busy deciding who was making what from their online orders! Shouldn’t the customer in the shop be a priority? Or even be welcomed or acknowledges? It’s just rude! Very slow and poor customer service! Will not be visiting again

Staff seem very inexperienced and everytime we go are left waiting long amounts of time and then half the order is wrong or items are missed off , needs improvement

Not been for a while but not improved since last time. Staff seem lacklustre, no pride in themselves or the shop. Tables left cluttered, poor choice of items. Bye, we won't give you a third chance.

Been going into this coffee shop since it first opened

Second visit to this store, both times asked for my latte in a cup rather than a glass, and both times they got it wrong, so I had to remind them when I got my drink. The food was nice though.

Not eaten here before but I guess they are all the same. The service can be slow in the mornings, however when I stopped by after work they brought my drink to me outside which was kind and quicker than usual.

Had a catch up with friends, coffee & toast. All good, staff polite & helpful

Nice staff, slightly soulless interior - a bit clinical and the takeaway coffee, although really nice, was searingly hot. I like my coffee hot, but I had got to Liverpool city centre before it was drinkable in my travel cup.

Very pleased with the delivery, first time I’ve tried it.

This order was delayed for a total of 31 minutes, unfortunately. The driver had a slight temper, when all I wanted to know was why the order was late. Ruined the entire experience, but thanks for the delivery all the same.

Served very cold hot chocolate . Staff to busy to sort out

Lovely coffee but the shop/cafe is quite cold when sitting for longer than 5 minutes, plus my coffee cools much quicker than I'd like due to the air conditioning being far too cold!!

Decent brew with comfortable facilities!

I don't normally write reviews for Costa because it's Costa. However i wanted to say a massive thank you for this Costa. I took a friend here after a very long and stressful day. We got here at 559 and they shut at 6. They still were happy to serve us even though they could have said no. So thank you. It was very much appreciated 2 weeks ago.

Queued for 35 minutes to be told points couldn't scan so couldn't claim free drink. Shocking customer service!!

Sent a black coffee instead of the bag of ground filter coffee I paid for. How can you be so unbelievably stupid.

Costa Coffee as normal, same product, same cafe layout. When I visited the Penwortham shop today I was on crutches due to a leg injury, the staff member noticed this and brought my order to the table, saving me from waiting at the collection point. This shop is always clean, the coffee is always good and the staff often go that little bit extra to provide a good service.

Web site states this outlet opens at 08:00 Sunday, Get here it's closed, opens at 09:00 apparently. That's fine but it should reflect the correct time on your website

If you have to resort to 'touting' for trade outside an independent, locally owned coffee shop, you don't deserve my busying - shameful behaviour!!

Prefer Fulwood branch. Only been once though.

Good coffee and plenty of space

I went to costa and ordered the chicken fajita and the iced mocha. I usually love mochas but this one tasted so strange, not like chocolate at all. absolutely revolting in my opinion. it was bitter and tasted so artificial, I don't know who would describe this flavouring as "sweet" or "chocolatey" but I certainly wouldn't. do not recommend.

Tables and toilet look like they not been cleaned, place only opened at 7am I was in for 5 past. However drinks were nice. Not the standards I expect from Costa

I like this place. The coffee etc is up to Costa's highest standard as would be expected, but it just feels friendlier, warmer and more inviting. It feels a bit like a comfortable local.

Six tables with dirty cups not much choice of were to sit staff not very polite when asked to clean a table would not go again in a hurry

Lovely place to have a rest with a drink and a snack.

Overpriced, average produce from the Coca-Cola company. Go to Bon Bons or the cowshed instead and get great products from local people.

It's good for a bit of remote working. Cakes are all uncovered though, and I noticed many flies landing.

I don't think they could have made the coffee any slower if they tried. The person making the coffee was so slow, and we ended up with 50% foam! Pretty disappointing, over priced coffee at its finest.

Slow slow slow Pleasant but slow. I've been twice, I thought it was an off day, slowest Costa in the world. Everrrrr. Answering the phone, reading out the menu, doing takeaway orders. 4 actual people served in 45 minutes.

I didn't enjoy my visit to Costa Coffee in Penwortham for various reasons. The only Gluten, Wheat and Dairy Free food you could eat was Mince Pies. Apart from this, there was no other choices. As for sandwiches, pasta or toasties, there were none that were Gluten, Wheat and Milk free. I feel the food and drink are way overly priced for the amount you get. It is very expensive to charge customers £2.55 for a small latte. It makes it even more expensive to have to pay 0.45p, so you can have lactose free milk, this is then a total of £3. I was not asked if I wanted anything other than a drink, the person that served me, then started to make me a drink and they said there wasn't anything I could eat that met my above dietary needs. The only positive thing was that another person said good bye to me when I was leaving, but didn't assist me whilst I was within the cafe.
