Costa Coffee in Winchester

Didn't catch her name but about a month back i stumbled over at 6:30 having stayed in the Travelodge over night in desperate need of a proper coffee and whichever lady had just come on shift made me the best cappuccino I've ever had. Rich smooth and creamy without any burnt tastes or bitterness. I can't say I drink a lot of Costa, just tends to be white I'm travelling, but I've had some terrible cups made before and this was just the thing I needed first thing in the morning

No actual crockery available to have a coffee in. If you are going to charge the amount you do for a mug of coffee, you need to realise you are selling an experience not just a coffee. This seems to happen a lot a motorway services as if you don't realise it matters.

On two different occasions, I have been served Latte with skimmed milk in smelly cup. Point one: it's the large cups that smell not drinks. Point two: you need to specifically ask for whole milk and manifest that throughout the process of making your latte. Otherwise, you will not get it.

We never went to Costa as its overpriced often a long queue. Though we do stop at Winchester services use tge toilet and other franchises !!

Service was excellent and it was a pleasantly quiet motorway service stop.

A frequent visitor love the coffee and the food, just wish there were a few less waist line friendly options.

Good selection of food and the staff were very polite friendly and helpful highly recommended

The hot chocolate wasn't hot, didn't taste much of the chocolate, and on top of that, all of the 4 cups I ordered were very much under filled considering how expensive it is I felt ripped off.

Not a friendly Costa, the staffs were chatting, the cashier was eating and drinking a coffee while taking orders, don’t think this is professional.

Often stop here on my way to the New Forest. Can be very busy at times with long queues. Staff are good though and try their best. Drinks are usually good. Pretty standard Costa stuff. Car parking is good and the services toilets have just been renewed so are of a good standard.

They should have more staff at the counter of Costa coffee we waited like 20min in queue.

This is Acosta located inside the Motorway Services on the road to Southampton and the south coast. As such, it is busy, but the staff do a good job of providing a friendly service as efficiently as possible and to a high standard. The coffee as ever is excellent and my bacon bap was properly cooked and well presented. Unfortunately, as the service station is in effect like a giant aircraft hanger, it is very difficult to maintain a good, friendly atmosphere, but they do try.

Costa food quality is good but even then I find them overpriced. Hot chocolates are NEVER hot...please replace your machine. My company provides Hot Chocolate, lattes, mochas etc free to staff and their machine is top notch...best hot drinks you've ever tasted...sorry Costa, I'm not spending my money at yours anymore...cost of living is too high. I get 10% of Costa via my company...still...no thank you.

I visited Costa Coffee at Winchester Service on the M3 yesterday and had a decent experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, but they seemed to be overwhelmed by the number of customers. The service station was also busy and noisy due to a large group of schoolchildren. The coffee was typical Costa quality, nothing too special but not bad either. The place was clean and comfortable, but not very relaxing. Overall, I would say it was an average service station coffee shop and will use again.

Quick, efficient service, staff friendly; just a coffee break but plentiful food options had we needed; not busy, being kept clean and tidy.

If the blonde slovak is on shift, give it a miss. Most bitter dishwashing water I've ever tasted

I was served by a lovely lady (I think her name was Julie). She was very polite, friendly, and helpful. She explained what the ultimate blend was (which I haven’t been able to work out till now), and made sure I was happy with my order. The iced latte she made was just what I needed to get me home after a long drive!

Ask for clean up my table and nobody didn’t do anything about it 👏👏

Service station Costa, no atmosphere as such

on a coach from Liverpool and called in services for a comfort break. I was surprised to see a young lad on his own behide the counter. There were quite a few in the queue waiting but the lad was polite and extremely competent. Reassuring the queue and thanking them for their patience. He didnt get flustered or worried. His name is Finlay and you are very luckly to have him in your employment.

Was a bit of an odd experience. I was stood at the counter and the lady serving just left and starting cleaning the tables and sweeping the floor. For about 10 minutes. So I was just awkwardly standing waiting to order my drink ASAP so we could get back on the road. Eventually we got our drinks and to be fair they were gorgeous. Just note this costa is very spenny, a medium frappe was over £5.

Had a coffee from the northbound services (not the vending machine) the coffee was almost non existent, just hot water and milk.

Supposedly open 24 hours but just tried to buy a takeaway sandwich at 21:55 and was told they're closed. Given it's the only place that's meant to be open at this time at this service station, pretty useless!

Costa Coffee is Costa Coffee. Staff friendly even with a never ending queue. Service quick.

Quite rude staff. Very noisy and intrusive clattering of crockery on clearing tables. Not welcoming really.

Great to be shouted at like a little school boy as you are purchasing your overpriced and distinctly average sausage cob. A smile goes a long way ;-)

A cute little Costa tucked away in the service station. Signs for it on the front door aren't immediately obvious, all I could see were signs for M&S, however when you walk in you can see it immediately. The Costa is a nice size and has many a chair and sofa

Paid on my gift card and they took the money twice. Reported it to head office and they haven't replied. Not happy.

Staff were rude and lack of receptacles to place take away cups in Got a look of disgust when exchanging a slice of ginger cake as the first one was stale and not asked what the problem was and not an apology !

We stopped at the motorway services for a snack lunch just before noon. Very disappointed that Costa did not serve sandwiches, toasties nor panini's. In fact the only food was cakes or biscuits. The service was very slow; a 10 minute wait for 2 coffees. Ended up having very nice pasties from the adjacent Cornish pastie shop. Not like other Costa's at motorway services we have used in the past

Lovely staff but a little to pricy for snacks

Drinks are always tasty. I do find it can be expensive bit you get what you pay for. It's nice to stop and get a hot drink on a rainy day.

Was given the more expensive option by default, the slow service also didn’t bode well.

Costa staff were not listening to my customer order request, being asked 3 times by 3 staff during fulfillment process although all staff being involved with original order. Waited 5mins for change from given cash, due to staff incorrect till input. Grossly inefficient staff deployment of 3 staff to 1 and only customer. 2 staff attempting to rectify till mistake while the other looking on using phone....5mins wasted by 3 staff while customer looks on in disbelief waiting for order to be progressed, and eventually being fulfilled another 3mins later. 1st time back to this Costa in 18mths and not a good experience. Suggest better quality staff training required.

Today we visited Costa at Winchester, I were impressed by barrista Remigiusz who was working by himself in such busy day. Professional, quick service with smile just amazing 👏 He deserves payrise.

Nice cosy place with friendly staff. They gave us a discount on sandwiches and coffee as we were out of the local area. Londoners in fact.

As a long time visitor theses stores are slipping in my opinion the staff are under trained or the long serving staff are complacent with making drinks nearly 5£ for my drink and it's never the same day to day no effort is what comes to mind I will comment on 2 members of staff erica and Maria are legendary staff never miss a beat good drinks but as for others when I see them I feel like turning around and finding another coffee shop

Always good. We all know Costa. Its slightly overpriced but its a decent cup of get your arse going brew..whichever Costa Coffee you may find yourself in and whatever time of day. Captivating hot chocolate too.
