I stop here quite often when travelling as it is convenient. Area always seems very dirty , I appreciate it's a busy service station but other businesses within the complex manage to keep their areas clean and tidy . Always lots of staff but they seem to get in each other's way and don't appear to work cohesively together . Service is usually very slow and although the coffee is usually ok , the one I purchased on Saturday 24th August 2024 was probably one of the worst I've ever had in a costa

To the assistant manager bianca, at the small Costa bit, can you teach your staff how to make a iced whip latte properly please. Sauce to line 1, ice to line 3, milk then the whip. I hardly had any salted caramel sauce. And yes I do work in Costa Thanks 👍🏽

Friendly and clean. Wonderful for a service area

Stopped here with a coach trip, no organisation of where to stand in a queue, people were standing in three different places? I ordered 2 hot chocolates with cream and walked to the end of the counter which people were picking orders up from. I stood there for about 5 minutes , staff going backwards and forwards then noticed 2 hot chocolates at the other end of the counter which no one was claiming? I went and picked them up and no staff told me they were mine just looked at me? They were luke warm and tasteless, couldn't taste the chocolate and no spoons for the cream just a wooden stick and no serviettes, tables and floors were dirty. Really disappointed for what you pay. I use Costa a lot but was disappointed with this one.

The cafe located in the days before the service, there was also a drive thru here.

Staff top notch, attentive and friendly. Location suffers by being too close to the entrance, you get an icy blast every time the doors open

Great addition to Wetherby motorway services. Conveniently located away from the main car park next to the fuel station. Enjoyed a black Americano and vegan flapjack. Much prefer the coffee to other well known brands. Thanks!

No organisation. Pass you someone else's order and then make you feel like you're the one who's to blame. Short late middle aged blonde woman with the sour face definitely should not be customer facing. Go home if you don't want to work.Hire better people with some actual customer service skills.

Consistently good food and drinks at reasonable prices. Comfortable seating.

The coffee was okay not the best i have had. The staff were friendly and service was great.

No clear indication of where to start queuing. Need some arrows on the floor or a sign up. Ended up in a queue of people waiting for their order. Next several couples who can't in did the same. Seating limited but sufficient free when we arrived (11am) coffee fine

Absolute mess, you over filled a take away cup and didn’t put the lid on properly so when I picked it up while on the move on the motorway! It went everywhere, that’s £4 down the drain thanks! With added expense needed for cleaning the vehicle 👏👏👏

cold coffee served then staff argued with me that the coffee was warm I can tell difference between a cold drink and a hot one no customer service last thing you need when been on the road since 06:30 that day

Disgusting full of flies, told staff who said yeah we know, the flies were on the food and also on the benches staff use to prepare food, no ice at 9:30 am and no coconut milk so instead replaced with almond without saying, also the first drinks given were wrong size. Contacted management who blamed cleanliness on moto cleaning staff and ignored flies. Offered a £5 gift card

Never in my life have I had to predominantly chew on a drink! £8.80 and 30mins in a queue to be served a cup of chopped ice and whipped cream is an absolute joke! This the salted caramel frapp

Not very clean behind the counter. Liquid splattered all up the cupboards, coffee machine overflowing when barista back turned.

Awful. I asked if they served caramel macchiato (I’m used to a big cup of caramel flavoured strong / slightly milky coffee from Starbucks). The girl looked confused so she asked her colleague who said yeah they could make me one. It came - tiny. Weighed nothing. Literally an espresso with a dash of caramel syrup. Felt robbed of £4. Threw it in the bin and held on until I got to Starbucks in Durham where I got a proper coffee.

Nice gentleman refilled my water bottle for free.

Oh dear, whats happening to costa, for the second time staff trying to serve everyone with takeaway cups, not asked what size coffe just served large, no spoons, no plates, might as well have gone to Greg's, will do next time!

I've been trying to get hold of this whilst travelling back from London. Despite the smaller Costa section just closing, Megan went and checked the shelves at the Costa cafe and then contacted the drive through near the exit, they had some in! As I was clueless to where I was going Megan walked with me, (first checking there weren't queues of people needing serving). It has been a long time since someone really went above and beyond to help, especially at a service station. My wife was delighted when I presented her with the tub. Thank you so very much Megan, you were wonderful 🌻

Giving this 4 stars because it’s Costa and no Costa is worth 5 stars. Compared to the Costa in the service station, the service here is loads better. It always takes ages in the station but the drive thru is always really quick, even if there’s a queue I’ve never had to wait too long. The staff are always really friendly too.

Very long queue with just one trained barista and a trainee on till. Had no ice but didn't cover up the iced drinks or put a sign up, despite the long queue. Closed at 5pm despite signs saying 9pm.

Massive thank you to LOUIS at costa coffee on 12/Feb/22 @ 00:16. Dear Costa if you read this do pass on my thanks to LOUIS who was very cheerful and provided really good customer service. If the staff at all motorway services were this pleasant then I would not mind working in the transport industry at night times. But LOUIS is in fact quite unique. I have sat here during my 45 minute break and he has consistently engaged with every customer. Well done LOUIS. Well done costa for being open!

Want to use my points to pay, but the machine is mot working. All i said to one ot the member of staff to let the management know about it because customers needed it to collect points. Suddenly the staff acted differently and saying its not her fault why I'm blaming her, I don't want to argue with you blah blah blah!!! Wow I was shocked by the stinky attitude! Costa Coffee should look into this and train their staff on custoner care service!😡😡

Filthy...tables not being cleaned..floor and bin areas disgusting.I think 🤔 there is a pandemic virus..but would like clean anyway..please management and directors take NOTE we want clean hopefully we can go back to some better normality. I stopped at Moto service for a Costa Coffee as Moto is the only Services I stop due to always having a good experience. Unfortunately this time was different. I brought my 2 costa mugs with me and ordered Medium Cappuccino and Medium Black Americano. I scanned my Costa app and without asking my free drink voucher was used, I asked them that I didn't want that as I wanted to pay for them and the response I got was that nothing they can do now. The male server came to me and start talking to me aggressively trying to intimidating inferring that it was my fault. I told them I know what I was doing as I am in Costa many times and I know how things works, then he start muttering under his breath and virtually threw the drinks at us. Then they tried to correct the mistake, but it threw up that I was a fraud and wouldn't allow them to proceed. The manageres said there was nothing else she could do. Not happy with this service!.

Awful service - everything but drive thru closed at 4pm on a Tuesday. They got my order wrong but charged me extra 50p for special milk - I couldn't drink it as I'm lactose intolerant, but it could've ended much worse had I been allergic! To top it off, they didn't even know how to scan the Costa card so I got 0 points instead of 2. Disgusted and would discourage anyone else from visiting.

Ordered an ICED peach tea. No ice, room temperature, with a withered lemon in the bottom. Rubbish.

Despite being extremely busy, I found the staff that dealt with me go above and beyond in customer service. For such long queues, one could expect to get minimal satisfactory service. However the staff here were patient and offered us additional cakes when the sandwich we wanted wasn't in. A perfect example of doing something they didn't need to, but that small act goes a long way to guarantee returning customers!

What a joke of a place went to get a coffee and the look I got from the staff was disgusting for trying the door to walk in because the truck won't go threw the drivethrew I was a regular but not anymore

Called in this morning (1.9.21 ) at about 10am for a quick bite to eat and drink . We visited the sit in side of costa coffee. The place was lovely bright and clean . I understand these places get busy , however the cashier serving me seemed to be in a hurry to serve me . I didn’t even finishing asking a question before I was abruptly interrupted, therefore getting my order wrong, and then me having to ask the Barista at the hand off point what my order was . No decaf coffee ? Is this a regular thing at these venues now because every Costa coffee venue I visit doesn’t do decaf ? I picked a bacon roll , my brother a vegetarian picked a cheese and bean toasties. They were cooked together in the oven! Is this the normal thing to do now a days in these venues? Overall a good visit my coffee (after telling the barista my drink order)was absolutely delicious and the food was piping hot.

They let you use your own cup, definite bonus.

Me and Mum popped in for a coffee during our journey home from seeing the family in Newcastle. Would definitely recommend popping by if need be, the staff were really friendly and the place seemed clean. Our coffees were lovely and just what we needed to give us a break from the long drive home.

The two young ladies at the takeaway section were really sparking. Friendly, clear and very quick considering the queue.

Easier to get to than the actual services and its Costa I wanted anyway!

Just called into Costa at weatherbu services. We got two hot chocolates and a coffee. Hot chocolate was cold. We said no marshmallows but we got them, the drink wasn't even hot enough to melt them. Coffee weatherbu cold too. Lot of expence for rubbish product and service.

I absolutely adore the staff here!!! They're all absolutely wonderful! So warm and welcoming! Nothing is too much, they never get tired of seeing your face and even when they're having a bad day they don't let the customers see, they give you a huge smile as if you're their small piece of sanity for the day! There's a microwave for baby food or ready meals and amazingly - no one ever brings the stinky fish! There's free hot water and cold water on site. Nice seating and always a wonderful selection of goodies that the staff take additional care and attention to displaying. Honestly! Their presentation are phenomenonal. I can't say highly enough of all the perfectionist and hard workers in here but unfortunately I don't know their names! Shocking considering I see them approximately 5 times a week! Absolutely amazing team, individuals, champions of the barrister world!

It was an okay experience, there was one poor employee working when a flurry of people arrived which meant that the wait time was a little longer than one would expect. Additionally, they did not have any hot chocolate so I was not able to have my desired mocha. I instead had an americano which I thought was perfectly serviceable.

Costa coffee is what it says, service was very good as usual.

Great meal deal - mozzarella and tomato panini plus drink 😊 Very friendly baristas. The seating area is very COVID-19 friendly too.

Getting very expensive, you shouldn't need to pay for a extra shot so your coffee doesn't taste like hot milk.

Good coffee and an essential on a long drive in my opinion. I went through the drive through to save time and staff friendly and delivered the expected service. Drive through also has a small dining sit down area inside and out. It would be a 5 if only Costas prices were a little lower. It's still an expensive coffee even if it is good.

Never has so little work been done by so many people so slowly. Seriously, it's a Costa, have someone taking orders and someone making coffee. You've got 4 people so 2 pairs or something. Took so long just to get drinks and a couple of cakes. Also no cold brew.

Question who is managing trainees? Made drinks as required, but coffee maker and server failed to tell that coffees were ready. Simple customer service.

Excellent coffees. The Beaumont Leys cafe serves the very BEST coffee .... and that includes other Costas!

Surly staff. Practically had my coffee and cake thrown at me.

Disappointing. The service was cool, from two young ladies who strongly seemed disinterested in their work and not wanting to be there. Despite the marketing sign on the wall assuring patrons and would-be-patrons that Costa's intention was to make them happy with an exceptional cup of coffee, they largely failed. The heavy-duty over-sized cups on the ridiculously off-centred saucer's only served to make them difficult to carry and quick to go cold. I suggest you ask for take-away cups, because they at least seem to stay hot. I noticed that Costa was the least busy of all the outlets. Perhaps people already know to avoid this cafe.

I come here almost every morning and these last 3 days the manager has been assisting me and as always she has been very friendly, it is nice to start the morning with a smile.
