Costa Coffee in Northampton

Bought a medium soya milk iced latte with vanilla syrup for £4.65 and a couple of croissants (£2.25 each). It was busy as a coach load had arrived, but by using the pre-ordering machine our order was swiftly compiled and the staff very friendly. We sat outside on a bench in the sunshine, but inside was clean.

Rude service by who got out order wrong. Asked for an iced macchiato and got a tiny hot coffee. Paid £3.50 for the worlds smallest ‘macchiato’ which was just a double espresso. The lady said ‘oh do you usually go to Starbucks’ so she knows what drink we were expecting. Threw it in the bin.

Costa coffee is always good, but food can be a bit hit or miss. In this case, I enjoyed the cheese and mushroom toastie I ordered. The cafe was clean and not too busy. This was a good thing as service was quite slow.

Usual Costa, stopped off for my usual White Americano, but for a change I had a delicious Tuna Salad - only £5.49 - but there was so much I wasn't able to finish it.

Stopped off here for a meeting and headed towards the Northbound Costa. Having a background in Training & Development, I was disgusted at the attitude of (and pure waste generated) by one of the staff. Clearly he was learning but to see coffee being ‘tamped’ into the holder, his inability to fit it into the coffee machine, then simply tipping the unused grounds into the waste unit, not once but numerous times. Body language clearly indicated a desire to be anywhere else other than making coffee and at one point, one of the other two staff members pushed him out of the way and took over with hardly a word between them. Interestingly a guy waiting for has coffee also passed comment so it wasn’t just me. Now the place was pretty quiet so absolutely no pressure was on the other two members of staff who could so easily have provided some encouragement, coaching and advice but no...their body language etc suggested frustration and I suspect there was more to it than simply ‘first day nerves’. Otherwise, the coffee was the usual Costa but to be honest, I doubt if I would visit this site again when there is an alternative a few miles before and after.

we been to Costa coffee to kill our tiredness but it's not gonna out that much we ordered cappuccino and Americano but coffee was not strong still we are feeling lazy it's not hot too. But service good.

Totally amazed at all the staff how friendly they are and how amazingly professional the service was. I would reccommend this costa to anyone travelling. Keep up the fantastic work guys

Without setting the World alight, Service was reasonably quick on a busy Saturday morning. All the usual range carried, the coffee was fine and the staff were cheerful. It served its purpose for a quick journey break.

Called here saturday28th July 2018 as desperate for a drink. Parking was easy but busy. The Costa was also busy with a very slow service. Staff were miserable and not very friendly. Coffee was not the best we have tried. and the cost was expensive, I know you pay alittle more in these motorway services but this seemed excessive. Hopefully wont go again

Not a single vegan option apart from Soya milk. It may greatly help if Costa as a company if they offered a vegan sandwich/salad/ meal that we could then happily enjoy. Recently we have turned to brilliant independent coffee shops. Costa has gone from my favourite coffee shop to my least favourite. Please offer vegan people good meal options and it could help greatly Costa as a company. 🙂

I was satisfied with Costa food, service and cleanliness. As a regular visitor to costa I am aware of food available and standard of service provided.

Disinterested staff with little customer service, coffee that was luke warm and toastie that was only toasted on one side all for an extortionate price, avoid.

Lots of parking. Took a while to get served. The lady who cleaning cups up was moaning about her job and the people that pay for her job. Little care taken with drinks and limited customer services expertise. Would not recommend as McDonald's next door with equivalent coffee.

I think that Costa is getting the message about hot coffee. For too long most coffee is served lukewarm but not here. Strong, hot flat whites were the order of the day. Quickly served by smiling staff. Delicious!

Had coffee here as our coach made a stop here on our way to Bournemouth. The coffee was very good. The cafe was clean and tidy, although there was a constant draught from the entrance to the services. I would recommend a seat as far away from the door as possible in winter, but perhaps the draught would be welcome in our warmer months.

My problem is I drive to London 5 nights aweek I get to this services at 930pm I constantly get refused a toasted cheese and ham sandwich as he states he’s started to clean the machine Costa doesn’t close til 10pm I’m not happy as I spend over £100 aweek in Costa shops each week up and country won’t be using them again I’m afraid

El personal parecía tener pies pegados a el lugar ya que tarda una eternidad en servirnos y todo era como en cámara lenta. Pensamos que pagamos más que en lugares de alta calle, pero supongo que todos somos un público cautivo en las estaciones de servicio de la autopista. Las bebidas y galletas estaban bien, pero las mesas estaban lento/a aprobarse limpiado y parece ser la norma en la costa. Si sólo había una fórmula para animar a su personal y hacerlos aparecer como si en realidad quería estar allí.

Came in to grab a Green tea (£2.39) before hitting the road again. Staff were friendly enough and we loved the cute Christmas cups :)

My son and I stopped off at the Roadchef Northampton Services on the M1 for breakfast. Whilst he wanted a McDonalds, I opted for a Café Latte from Costa's. I also wanted a sandwich, however, the only Gluten Free option in stock was a Turkey...

Staying with friends in hotel and the coffe there was awful so we just had to pop into here to get a decent cup. Quick service, offer was just how I like it (wet latte and hot) and the seating was lovely and comfortable.

Normalmente evito zonas de servicio y sólo paramos aquí por necesidad. La misma comida que puedes conseguir en cualquier Costa, pero a un precio inflado. El barman en Costa son normalmente muy orientado al cliente, hablador y muy eficiente. No aquí. La persona que sirve apenas hablaban inglés y tuve que pedir tres veces para un croissant climatizada, tomando su colega a llevar de mí en el plato que me haya presentado. No me impresionó. La comida y el café estaba bien cuando finalmente conseguimos.

Típico de la costa, pero nunca he estado en una cafetería tan lento! No creo que mis expectativas son altas cuando se trata de esperar. Me he ido sin ordenar por estar enfermo de espera. Si es este lento deberían pedir de la mesa...

Food was of the usual standard, but the service here is dreadful; the two women on duty when visiting were very dismissive of the customers, and we all just stood around before they would even acknowledge us.However coffee and food was as good as normal.I've marked this one down, purely for the attitude of the staff on this occasion.

I am not sure but the prices seems a little more expensive than the usual high street costs but the coffee tasted the same and was made just the way i like it and with skinny milk so no problems there

Its Costa so you know what you are getting.. this one is better than most in that you do get coffee with your froth in a cappuccino. A good heavy cup is the measurement I work to.Staff are friendly and efficient.

Another hard wearing Costa. The service building echoes and is a bit noisy. Needs a makeover, not anyone's fault at Costa of course. Coffee was good but pricey by the time an extra shot and snack is added. I always feel sorry for staff having to put on a brave face with stressed motorway travellers bearing down on them but they manage weak smiles nevertheless. A place that feels better leaving than staying.

Part of a coach trip, so a useful stopping point for loos and refreshments. Just had a coffee. Great as usual but a bit pricey.Couldn't comment about any food, but usual costa things on the menu. Busy queue as you come to expect.

Starting my day with a cup of coffee gives me the much needed energy . At Costa Coffee you are given the best coffee to make your day great .This Particular Branch of Costa was equally good . I had taken coffee with sandwiches . it was delicious as well as energiser

took me two hours to get through a super large coffee which somehow only cost £3! the picture is attached, PS I would go for a decaff if you take a super large! lol Also liked the solid internet connection

We stopped off here on our way to London, and were very pleasantly surprised by the Fine Food Cafe at the M1 Roadchef.I ordered a falafel and halloumi salad, and my wife had a panini. They were brought to our table – the server apologised for the delay, but we thought the service was pretty prompt. The falafel were fresh and light, and the halloumi nicely grilled, with lots of salad. £6.49 seemed very reasonable for a well-presented meal at a motorway services. There was a good selection of high quality soft drinks too – well chilled. (The total bill was £13.34.)We used to avoid eating at motorway services, but we’re now reconsidering our policy in the light of several good eating places that we’ve found on motorway journeys.

Hi.This Costa Coffee at Northampton Services M1 J15A is a very good one.Recently enlarged to give it more space.Stereo typical CC exactly what you expect to find.Not the cheapest coffee shop chain out there but you do get what you pay for, generally.There is quite a lot of choice at CC re coffees & teas etc so surely something for everyone.Chiller cabinet has sarnies & savories for those that don't need a massive sugar kick.Nice selection of cakes, pastries, biscuits etc.Free BT wi-fi hot zone so thats handy enough.Friendly service & nice coffee so jobs a good un'.Good Costa Coffee at J15A. 5/5

Not much to say about CC. If you use it you know what to expect. Decent coffee a bit over priced but much better than the American rivals, much better, Cookies are very heavy on the sugar content though, wouldn't recommend them if on a diet.

Called for break on journey from NE to home in Fareham. Well placed at the end of the M1 leg. Friendly, great coffee and excellent muffins. Would be 5 stars but a very cool draught blowing in from the main service area doors. There was a cold wind that day but I expect to be able to sit in a warm atmosphere without coats!

I visit here at least 3 times per week. The Costa staff are superb, not only friendly/fun but also attentive and very customer focused.
