Costa Coffee in Telford and Wrekin

We were served by a batista by the name of Dee, and I must say how polite and professional she was as the customer in front of us was rude to her, and I thought the way she dealt with it was very professional, as it turned out he was in the wrong and didn't even apologise, why staff have to put up with people like him.

Visited here today.All 3 female staff and the male member of staff were amazing.Couldnt do enough for us and made us feel so welcome.Keep up the good work!

Stopped at this Costa on the arduous drive back from Cornwall the other day Got off the M5 for a break as we couldn’t bear the services Went through the drive-through here The boys both had frostinos which were good however my cappuccino didn’t actually taste of coffee which was a bit bizarre! Very weak for some reason Likewise my ham and cheese toastie wasn’t very toasted and was just crammed in the box not cut half - extricating it was then like a surgical procedure You could tell the staff were pretty cheesed off (forgive the pun) and this came across both in their demeanour and the end product

Rude staff, was told to move when there was tables available as take away only. It was the way the staff spoke to me, disgusting never coming here again

The girl at the till served me and my boyfriend and she was so lovely, but when we got our hot chocolate it was freezing and I hate even complaining because I feel bad and I work in hospitality so I completely understand. My boyfriend went up and said could the hot chocolate be heated up just because it was cold and a different girl came down with it in a takeaway cup even though I was sitting in and slammed it on the table and didn’t even apologise or even come across in anyway in a friendly manner. I am so annoyed at this as I just don’t think people should work in the hospitality sector if they don’t have good customer service and be rude to their customers.

Enjoyed an hour here catching up with a friend. Although there was a queue everyone was served quickly. Tables were cleared quickly and toilets were clean. Although it was busy we found seats which was great. Like the idea of seats outside too. Bet it's lovely when the weather is nice.

Convenient place for a quick light lunch when in this area. Easy to get in and park, usually a little slow and awkward though to drive out with a few twists, turns, roundabouts and crossings. Always a busy retail park. Coffee and eats all to our liking. Staff always seem a little more friendlier here than in other branches. Quite busy on this visit, but there were enough staff for the serving and table clearing on duty. Always a plus point for me.

Average experience, car park is a bit awkward to navigate around, other wise not to bad, decent variety of stores.

We go here quite regularly as we like the coffee but find that it seems to be going the way of many of this coffee chain restaurants. The food cabinet is often not fully stocked and missing items. Worst of all, as with many other Costas, the place is just not cleaned properly. Staff can be slow to clean tables and the floor is totally ignored. We went today and the serving area was a total mess with jugs, milk bottles, cups, leftover frothed milk jugs etc. all over the place and the coffee machine was disgusting. Wish I had taken a picture... The floor beneath our table was a wash with food mess and the place just looked dirty. What is wrong with these places - the staff really ignore cleaning (I am sorry that they have to put up with the mess in the first place) but it really puts one off. This is a cafe and restaurant so I have no idea what a flying trip from the food hygiene people would get. Management - you have the wherewithal to get it right so put the effort in and make this a bright, clean and smart place to have a coffee and a bite. You may have a captive audience but that is no excuse.

Visited a couple of times recently whilst in the area. The first issue is trying to get to it and also out of the car park as this is very complicated and long winded. The building is one of Costa's environmentally friendly restaurants where they harness the rainwater, etc. Usual Costa offerings but staff don't appear to be the most helpful and seem more intent on tidying up, late on a Sunday afternoon, rather than serving the customers. Place was air conditioned, don't know where the environmentally friendly bit comes in here but was certainly welcome in the recent heatwave.

I find this venue really handy if you are in the area and need a snack. Usually easy to park, staff friendly, usual costa menu. So another happy visit earlier in the year. I like the look of the place as well and all the eco friendly things they do at that branch.

Good location, easy to park. Friendly staff in a clean and welcoming location. Coffee (as ever) excellent. Recommended

I have been to this Costa Coffee a few times but it has been a while since I visited last. There seem's to have been a staff turn around since then and these new members of staff are just awful! I have never known such bad manners from any Costa staff ever, they were surly, rude and unfriendly. I had dirty looks, they didn't listen to my order, I was treated like an inconvenience and was ignored. A customer who ordered after me was served before, they were not helpful, friendly or chatty. I was served by two girls, I don't know which one was worst! I am a regular Costa customer and this is one of my locals, I will definitely not use it again.

I went to the costa coffee café in the Wrekin Retail Park it was a good experience the staff were friendly and useful and the food was nice, it was clean and well-kept however the prices were expensive and were not representative of the quality. Overall it was a good experience and I would go again.

Used to visit about twice a week. Not anymore. New staff unfriendly & rather surly. Tables not tidied and NEVER have any papers or any bread for toast. Needs action cause many of my friends feel the same.

We visit here at least twice a month as it's in a convenient location with free parking. Staff are super friendly and helpful. We have two small children and staff are always talking to them and making them laugh. Great coffee, great service. Food isn't the best (but it's costa!) but the cake is pretty good!! There's high chairs available to use for feeding younger children. Sometimes tables are left with the cups and trays during busier times but are speedily tidied once the rush dies down.

Cold. Dirty machines. Poor service. Manageress appeared to be particularly miserable. Will never go to Costa again.

nice and friendly Costa on the main high street in Wellington...was qutie quiet when I met a friend there for a cappuchino...toilet door was broken but was a welcoming place

Good quality coffee served well, and has good well trained staff. Go here at least two or three times a month and always have great coffee. Service is fast and parking always good, so perfect for a limited lunchtime.

Useful, easy to find and park. Whenever in the area this is our choice for a pit stop coffee sandwich etc. Staff always seem friendly and it is not overcrowded. Always enjoy the Costa brand.

Great meeting hub , I visit here often to do business, catch up on work whilst on the move and socially catch up with friends. The lovely twins who are also the managers here are always so accommodating and all staff very friendly and actually remember you and take the time to speak. Special mention to Ashleigh too who is always helpful if I'm stuck connecting to the wifi!See you all soon, Maria & Debbie

I love the ethos and even better the coffee. Such a pity it is the only eco pod so far. Never disappoints! Clean store with good service which is a trademark I have come to expect of Costa Coffee shops. I will keep returning. Keep up the high standards and please open more eco friendly stores like this one across the country. I would really love it if every store became like this one. Well done. I will certainly be visiting this store on a regular basis.

Whilst at Wellington Retail Park with my wife, we decided to call at the Eco Pod, for a coffee and a snack. A few minutes later we were sat down with two drinks, served efficiently by the friendly barista. A further few minutes passed and our lunchtime snack also arrived at our table. My wife had ordered the 'sausage, bacon, tomato & egg, on toast' and mine was two 'crumpets'.Within a very short time, my wife had decided not to finish her microwave warmed offering, because it was just awful and my crumpets (surely you can't go wrong there Costa Coffee?), were like two pieces of rubber (served with butter) that clearly had been nowhere near a toaster, whilst in the Eco Pod! I even tried my wife's offering in desperation; but I agreed that it too was not fit for purpose.I returned them both to the counter and the barista who had served us our 'food', complaining about the rubber crumpets and the disgusting other item and returned to my wife and our coffee's.Nobody came to us to, ask what the problem was and we left a few minutes later... frustrated and extremely disappointed.I have to say... 'Pod' life, is not for us.

Visited today with a few friends and our babies, had an enjoyable 2+ hours in comfortable surroundings. Staff were very friendly and I really appreciated that our drinks were brought to our table. There are baby changing facilities and as usual Costa are breastfeeding friendly. We will be back :-)

It may be eco but last Sat lunchtime is was decidedly "cold" and "draughty"....something to do with the air circulating I was told by a member of the staff (what no heating ?).It was also very noisy(.and there was only a handful of people there) ..again the high ceilings and lack of acoustic absorption properties meant one ends up having to shout to one's companion.I may want to save the planet but that does not extend to have a coffee in a cold and noisy café....bad move by Costa!

We do enjoy our Costa, so it was quite easy to pop into the retail park for a quick coffee and cake as we were in the area. Staff always welcoming and friendly.I think on this occasion there were three members of staff, which seemed to allow one to clear tables and make the place look nice and tidy. So many similar coffee places just have the two so at busy times you are left tidying up cups plates etc on trays to make somewhere clear to use. Being a Costa regular I'm already signed up for their free wifi so it just connects automatically.Just be careful of the automatic doors into the venue as they seem a little bit strong. Don't want people knocked off their feet !!

Never had any problems here. The staff are all friendly and helpful. I like the eco-design of the building.

We have visited this new Eco Costa Coffee several times. Obviously it serves the usual CC range but in an interesting eco friendly building. There is plenty of seating inside and some seating outside although wasps are a bit of problem. Staff are friendly. We would recommend.

Love the coffee at Costa, so back in April, popped in to check out the new eco building which I had heard about. Just happened to be in the area.All the usual things you would expect - like it or loathe it. Enjoyed the interior of the building and the design. It was a quiet time. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Didn't encounter any problems for me.

Been to the new Eco building Costa at the Wrekin retail park a few times now, mainly for business meetings with my colleague. Great lattes all the time and staff very helpful. Had a slight issue with connection to wifi but the manager Joshua soon come over and put that right- thank you all and well done! See you soon!

Called in here at the weekend for a coffee and a chat with my daughter not impressed at all staff looked very shabby and to say the least each member had awfull dirty shoes none where of a smart appearance, and the automatic doors are a health hazard they close on you as you are walking in and out not good when you are disabled,Very overpriced as well.
