Food and drink was absolutely fine. The toilet was a different matter. I've never seen such a disgusting toilet in a cafe. We could smell it before we opened the door and once we caught a glimpse we promptly decided we wouldn't be stepping foot in there. Absolutely disgusting. Makes me wonder about the cleanliness of the rest of the place.

Costa were very helpful with my order when requesting allergy information. I was provided with a full allergy document detailing what I was able to have. For my less common coconut allergy I was very impressed that the staff member checked the back of the syrups ingredients for me and let me read them too. This is above and beyond what most places do and helped me to feel much safer. Thank you costa I will be returning

There was a huge queue when we arrived, the Primark had just opened across the square. The queue moved steadily, and I was soon served . Unfortunately, my drink was wrong , but it was soon rectified. The lattes were both hot, and mine with oat milk was creamy. Efficient and friendly staff.

I've given a one star rating with no reflection of the staff or service but in an attempt that the organisation who owns costa takes note - went in today Sunday 10th September around 9am it was like walking into a sauna - the staff were actually sweating ! - I live in Salisbury and use this costa several time a week and the air con has been broken for weeks while we are having a heatwave, to the Costa operators - please look after your staff!! You've a great team there who always work hard and serve a great coffee - do your part and whilst I'm commenting you've had a window boarded up for months - not a good look especially when Primark opens soon - you charge enough for your coffees etc (prices went up again last week) now do your part and invest some of your profit back into this store!

After a couple of hours around Salisbury we decided to get a coffee and wait for friends. First impressions were not good with a 'boarded-up' smashed front window. Inside we found a table (with wallpaper hanging off the wall behind us) and ordered coffee. The coffee was fine so we put up with the "in need of re-furbishment" decor, but when we visited the toilets before leaving we were appalled - I wonder if Costa ever check that their franchises are up to standard?

Wasn't busy for a Sunday, maybe because it was so hot. We ordered mango and passion fruit smoothies which were very refreshing. I had a lemon and blueberry cake that was delicious and my friend had the carrot cake.

After walking around Salisbury for several hours we felt in need of a coffee and passing here we decided to pop-in. The café was busy and I went off to grab a table whilst my Partner queued for two medium sized Americano’s with hot milk. It wasn’t long before my Partner returned with our coffees. I don’t recall the last time we had coffee at ‘a Costa’, but the medium size was most generous, in fact I would say they were large cups. I would say the next size up would be more akin to a potty. The coffee was ‘OK’ – it was hot and it tasted of coffee, but it lacked the bitter rich taste that we both look to experience, as in our favourite coffee shops. On past occasions over the years we had favoured Costa for it’s really good coffee, but it has definitely become very ordinary.

My friend and I fancied a coffee, I picked the table and she queued up to place our order. It took nearly half an hour to get two drinks. It got so bad, so many waiting,they had to stop taking orders - only one person making coffee and one person taking orders, not sure what the other was doing. The only bonus, we had a table and it was warm inside and so could chat whilst we watched and waited for our drinks to be completed!! I feel some serious training is required.

Good place to stop for a refreshing drink yet on this boiling day the ice machine was broken so no cold drinks could be made. Also no toilet paper in the toilets and when an other person asked for some for the toilet they were told there was none at all to be put there.

I usually prefer Costa over most coffee shops but some of them seem to need more staff. Dirty tables needing clearing and take away cups only. Also no ice so no cold drinks. Not the best Costa.

Went to this Costa after a good day shopping, and when I got in there I got met by a blonde short haired mid age woman who dosent smile or say hello, she dosent greet customers, she just looks at you like she's about to tell you off which is really off putting. (Come on Costa .. your normally great in other places!) Anyway I asked for a SOYA medium hot chocolate and she put small hot chococolate on the order! So I said did you get the soya part, as I didn't see it on the till, she missed it out and I hear the staff making my drink as a white hotchocolate, I don't know where that came from. I also say I didn't order a small plus I ordered cream on top, so the girl behind the counter I watched her pour a small in a medium cup and put cream on top and gave it to me . Utterly disgusted with this service. GO TO THE COSTA AROUND THE CORNER IN SALISBURY INSTEAD!!!

Yesterday 30/01/21 I went in for 3 drinks to take out there was a young polite lady working long hair ponytail another older lady short hair served me really rude , didn’t say hello , good morning nothing! This isn’t how you greet customers, also my drink wasn’t how it should be it was all hard had barely no juice in

We visited this Costa & weren't aware that food from other places wasn't allowed. We passed this bakery & liked some pies & were tempted but wanted to have a proper Costa coffee. While I waited for coffees my wife was told that food wasn't allowed by a staff member. I sat down & before my wife had the chance to inform me of the conversation, the staff member walked over & told us 'what part of my remark that you can't have food bought from elsewhere did you not understand'. I was taken aback by that remark & quite calmly told her that we had already bought the food and coffees and what does she suggest that we do? & she told us that we need to leave and get our coffee packed....there was no need to treat customers so rudely, suffice to say that I have complained to Costa head office and await their reply. I did ask her to show me the policy and send across the manager but neither was forthcoming and we proceeded to finish our coffees. There is always a nicer way to say these things without ruining someone's day.....

I have been going to Costa in butcher row for many years, this is purely because of how great the staff are! Always welcomed with a smile and great coffee. Perfect stop off on my travels

Taking a break from lockdown with a visit to Salisbury and was looking for somewhere to have a light lunch and came across this Costa coffee. The Corvid arrangements were well run and tables well spaced. We ordered two coffees and two bacon baps, which were well served by the friendly staff, which were up to usual good standards for Costa.

Costa can be a bit hit and miss but this branch is truly excellent. Great atmosphere due to friendly staff and well made coffee . Only fault is some of the pre prepared Costa food is ok rather than superb.

This is a relatively small costa that struggles to turn the coffees around when busy. Staff are really friendly, till staff in particular was excellent but longish waits for drinks wasn't great. Nice when we got it though!

Not the best view from the window and probably needs to be a bit bigger to cope with the numbers coming through the door , but this was a pleasant interlude in a busy day

Pedí una bebida sin crema. Pagado con una nota de 10 y se le dio casi 8 en 50 ps. Pidió un 5 nota en su lugar, ninguno en la caja. ¡La otra caja registradora estaba aproximadamente a 12 pulgadas de distancia! La bebida estaba cubierta con crema batida, no lo que pedí. Se le dio otra, pero una cara miserable muy larga.

Mi esposa y yo no tuvimos más remedio que sentarnos afuera porque teníamos a nuestro perro con nosotros, pero la zona de estar exterior estaba asquerosamente sucia. Mientras mi esposa entraba para ordenar, tuve que mover un vaso de leche vacía y un cenicero sucio de la mesa que tenía menos artículos. Realmente quería limpiar la mesa también, pero normalmente no llevo conmigo un kit de limpieza completo. Había tazas vacías, platos y vasos desechables en cada mesa, pero cuando mi esposa regresó, dijo que no estaba tan ocupado adentro con tres personas sirviendo. . . Entonces, ¿por qué no estaba limpiando una de estas personas? Estar fuera de nuestras bebidas calientes se enfrió rápidamente, pero no creo que estuvieran particularmente calientes cuando mi esposa salió de la tienda. Had I seen the disgusting state of the counter under the coffee machine, prior to my order, I would have walked out. The counter top was filthy, jugs splattered with ingrained coffee stains and coffee granules spilt over the counter. Doing a different order the girl used her hand to clean the steaming wand with her hand, before putting it into the jug. The staff were laughing and joking around, perhaps a wiser use of their time would be hygeine.

Coffee good (Cortado), only one barista serving but staff friendly and service relatively quick. Could have been cleaner!

As usual the coffee was excellent, the expesso especially. Service was fast and the lemon muffins were well received by us.

This is fabulous coffee. I visited this place every day I was in Salisbury and sat outside (even though a bit chilly) and loved the combination. It was a high point of the day.

Visited early on Saturday morning. Lovely warm welcome from a nice polite young lady. I ordered a pot of tea and toast. She chatted as she made the tea, offered, different preserves & said she would bring toast over when it was made. I sat down in a lovely comfy corner and the toast arrived in no time - again delivered by a happy smiling member if staff. The place was lovely warm and clean. Quiet busy for early in the day (8am) but nothing was too much trouble.

This is a very friendly Costa, with customer-focussed staff who are clearly happy in their job and team. Today saw a moment of drama with storm 'Brian' causing one the large umbrella canapes outside falling over and unfortunately hitting a customer on the side of the head. The staff acted very quickly to remove ALL of the canapes outside, with the young female managing staff member (I don't know her name but she has red hair) immediately recognizing the risk they posed to other customers. The woman who hurt her head was very well cared for by staff - she was brought inside and given a glass of water.

Visiting Salisbury Cathedral for the day. Had a coffee and muffin. There was not much to choose from. The place looked very ordinary compared to other Costa we had visited. So it was a quick in and out.

When it is nice weather, they have a lovely out door seating area that is perfect to watch the world go by. Decent coffee - the same as any other Costa. I like that they come out with new cakes and snacks all the time but also keep the old favourites. Definitely try the new maple and pecan brioche, it's delicious!

Das Costa Coffee liegt im Herzen der Innenstadt von Salisbury in der Old George Mall. Das Angebot an Speisen und Getränken entspricht dem üblichen Standard der Kette. Auch die Einrichtung kam uns bekannt vor, bei unserem Besuch war alles sauber und ansprechend.Wenn wir unterwegs sind, gehen wir gerne zu Costa oder seinem großen Konkurrenten, weil wir hier genau wissen, was uns erwartet. Wie immer bei Costa haben uns die Kaffeespezialitäten auch hier sehr gut geschmeckt.Fazit: Guter Kaffee, empfehlenswert.

Coffee...expensive but ok...but the level of noise was immense! the music at one point was put up in volume massively and we had to shout to be heard. BUT...the meeting was arranged there as a central point that I would know

This is my first visit to a Costa! Yes there are a few who have not crossed their threshold - It was good, not as expensive as I had thought it might be. Nice coffee & bun. Okay it is self service but then you only have yourself to blame if you are not quick enough.

Visit on day 1 was excellent...good service with a smile...got the order right etc.Visit on day 2 at same time was poor. Asked for Americano with a little hot milk...got a load of cold milk and some coffee. No smile from Barista. Long cue. By the time i realised the coffee had cold milk i had already walked out and away from the shop otherwise would have gone back to hold them on their promise of 'if you dont like your coffee we will replace it'.

Staff are always nice and friendly, coffee is good but hygiene is non existent. Toilets are filthy, there is enough grime around the toilet seat and taps to point the walls outside. They look as if they haven't been cleaned for months! Yuk yuk yuk

Myself and a colleague had some time before a meeting so decided to stop in at this coffee shop for a quick drink prior to going in for our appointment, though we had wished we hadn't!Finding more and more these coffee chains are not keeping to acceptable hygiene standards this one is by far no exception, in fact I would go as far to say it might be one of the worse I have stepped in to!The first table I was about to sit at was so filthy that I decided to look for another whilst my colleague was ordering the drinks, and then when I found another that too was dirty. This cafe was not that busy so there were enough staff and time for them to clean up their tables, and even if if were extremely busy they should factor that in, after all it is part of the job? An important part. My colleague came over and I apologised to her saying that I couldn't find a cleaner table, so we would have to hold our papers etc, until they cleaned it, if they came over, but she said we should move to the very large table at the back of the room by the wall. This table too was grubby, but marginally better than the last, but I noticed the chair I was about to sit in was stained quite badly, so not knowing if this was wet or dry, I switched it with another, and sat down. Unfortunately, as this table faced the wall, we had to sup our drinks staring at that wall which was splattered with coffee, or something which resembled it and didn't look pleasing if you get my understanding?!I should just add here as well that my colleague did have to go and change over her cup at the counter just before she poured her tea, as she noticed the cup was dirty too, a theme throughout the cafe you see? They must be used to it too, because as she walked towards the counter they were holding out another for her ready for the swap over - a regular occurrence?When we later went to our meeting in Salisbury and talked told them about how awful our experience had been of their local Costa, they asked if we had used the toilet in there, to which I replied, I wouldn't have dared. The reason they had asked is because apparently the toilets are even worse, are appalling, but I say it stands to reason - if they can't even keep their front of house clean then what hope is there for their toilet? The problem is these chains have become all too complacent as they are the busiest industry on the high street these days. It is just not good enough, this is a food and drink establishment and it is filthy!!

New Years day about 10.14 hrs. Lots of room ni q and we discovered a cake. We only picked it for the name merry we thought it was seasonal. Do try it before it gets taken off the menu. A relaxing stop on a city centre walk.

Excellent service like all Costa's but this Costa really do care. Always friendly and helpful staff, who take there time in making your drinks, so having to wait a little longer to get a drink witch is freshly made is fine and NOT having burnt milk like other Costa's. Keep up the good work

Right in the middle of Salisbury shopping centre is is normally a quiet haven but can suffer from events right outside. Today it was an intrusive brass band. I like brass bands but this one plays badly and the enclosed shopping area does not inprove it.We are here on a Saturday morning so it is rather busy and we had to sit outside so it was very smoky

Visited recently late afternoon when very quiet and had great service from Alix - engaged in friendly conversation and asked all the right questions such as type of milk, hot or cold etc When she established we were rather fussy she offered us the chance to put our own milk in, we have had to reject so many at other Costas as the baristas just don't ask and tip a massive amount of milk in which ruins the coffee for us and they aren't too impressed with being asked to make it again so thank you Alix for an enjoyable experience, just wish it was our local

Brilliant for take out or sit in. Good choice of drinks hot and cold. Snacks of cakes and biscuits available. Seating inside and out not overcrowded or sat on top of any one else.

i always find Costa brilliant food is lovely i usually have smoked salmon and cream cheese staff are always helpful when walking with a stick the staff always took the coffee and food out to the table they will always be the best and where ever i go i always look for a Costa brilliant

This is situated in the center of the City in the main shopping area.It has outdoor seating to watch the world go by.It is a little cramped at times and there are a lot of coffee shops to choose from in the City.

Nothing wrong with the quality, friendly enough staff, handy location, however you can be standing in line for quite a while if there are more than 5 customers in line. Need to think about a larger workspace and more people making drinks

On a cold Saturday morning it wasn't easy finding a table, but once we did it was great tonneau with tea for two and the opportunity to people watch. I'm a big fan of Costa, normally in London - this was just as good, albeit a different crowd.

Lunch for 2, coffee and paninis and cake.Good food and good coffee, as you'd expect from Costa.Can get a bit busy and you may struggle to find a spare table.Also, consider the Cornish Bakery just down the road - I prefer it now

Pretty standard fair, but just the job on a cold rainy day. Place could do with a lick of paint, staff very friendly and funny.

It's pretty standard. Which isnt a bad thing if you want a coffee and want to play it safe and stick to what you know. Id like it more if they redecorated in a more unique style, akin to the other buildings in salisbury, rather than just the standard costa decor. But the coffee is good and upstairs seating is a bit more out the way to enjoy your drink in peace.

Pleased to see that Costa are gradually increasing their range of gluten free products. The choice is still limited though. I can recommend the new Christmas Crumble Bar. Definitely be eating one of those again! The down side is that the decaf latte was a bit tasteless. But that's ok if you don't mind not having weak tasting coffee.

Quick cuppa while shopping. Just a passing visit. Coffee was standard Costa, no better and no worse than many others.

I am a regular user of the Amesbury Costa which is just off the a303! The drinks are to the usual Costa standard! This restaurant can get extremely busy at times and therefor can be a bit slow. Especially when they're short of staff but those that do work there work extremely hard!

Great place to relax and unwind with a cup of coffee. Went to several Costa Coffee while in England. Chose to go there for breakfast in the mornings-toast and jam, porridge, and various sweets were fantastic.

This Costa is as most I have visited,well maintained and very good service.The other thing going for is the location, set in the middle of the Old George Mall shopping center close to a multistory car park with 2 lifts to all floors.

My Friend and I love to go here. We love the coffee and the yummy cakes. The staff are friendly and helpful. Then of course we have our loyalty cards, always a pleasant bonus.

Love the coffee and the coffee and walnut cake is to die for. The staff are lovely the only downside is the seating. It's quite compact and its location means it's nearly always busy. This causes major seating issues but will be ok in the summer as there is outside seating.

A very convenient location, but it does get busy as a result. Not so bad if you are on your own and muscle into a spare chair, but best to avoid 12-2 otherwise. Plenty of seats compared to our local Costa. Had a pleasant chocolate whilst visiting Salisbury for the day, well located in the centre of a shopping area.

First time we have come across Costa and we found all there food consistently good and well priced. This was throughout the UK and Europe during or holiday.

I really love Costas. The cakes are nice and I especially like the tea and the mocca. It´s a good place for a stop on a shopping and sightseeing day and I especially like the sofas and the armchairs, where I like to habe a break with a nice cup of tea, while reading for half an hour.

Costa was our second choice as Marks and Spencer café had a problem with its fridges. The cheese and mushroom toasted sandwich had to be sent back as it was cold inside, when it was returned it was soggy and tasteless. The baby chino was offered initially with NO froth and had to be made again properly. On a more positive site the lemon tart was good.

Coffee terrible and this is not limited to Costa Coffee in Salisbury, tried to other Costa Coffee shops and coffee terrible in all three. Its like dish water and you have to pay for an extra shot which doesn't improve things. Oh yeah I tried the Chai Latte, hoping that would be better but that was worse. Would never go near another Costa coffee shop again. Terrible wast of money

Coffee and the light lunches are good. The service friendly and good also the cleanliness of the place. Well appointed for the happy shopper.

It was extremely busy when we visited and I don't think the staff were used to it. They were polite enough but everything was shoved at you. Coffee was only two third full and tepid. The Manager was running round clearing up and repair taps in the loo. No receipt was given and the cashier was only just coping with the orders. Shame as COSTA can be very nice if the staff get if right.

Being in such a prime location you would hope they would have more than one toilet and a few more chairs/tables. They always have good stock and the service is fine. I always go there - just struggle finding a table!

Had to clear tables myself to sit down all we're piled high with cups and over flowing ash trays and the shop wasn't busy they must forget about the seating outside. Yuck"!!!!
