Costa-lot of money 💰but clean for a star

I do not understand the obsession with these big coffee chains, everything is overpriced, all the tables were dirty, the hot chocolate tasted like it was watered down. They are and continue to be sub standard for the money.

Really lovely and friendly staff. Nice vibe - good place to work from. A small update. I’ve been coming here since the summer. I understand having the AC while it’s warm but now it’s winter and it’s freezing inside. I come here to work and it’s so cold I am struggling to type. No heating and AC on full even though it’s 2C outside. Everyone is still wearing their coat even though we’re all indoors.

The staff are polite friendly and very helpful. The food was of a very good quality and value for money.

Came to pick up a too good to go all we was handed was 4 slices of walnut cake when the counter was full of sandwiches and other food. Disappointed as cant even get a refund.

It's a costa but bit strange how you have to push the disability button to get in? Paper cups only for sit in and no toilet facilities! Think I'll go somewhere else today!!!

Drinks and food were good but expensive for what they are (as any Costa is). The service was really good, the man serving was really efficient and helpful. The customer toilets were horrible though and badly needed to be cleaned.

Lots of empty seats but the tables hadn't been cleared. The person serving was continuously coughing. Food is pretty good but prices are getting steep. Plenty of free parking. Usual Costa set-up.

No iced drinks for like a month because their iced machine has been broken for that long. I won't bother to visit again.

Experienced exemplary customer service from the staff at Thanet DT today. Most significantly from a staff member I believe is known as "Joe". He (and his fellow counter colleague) not only provided a friendly, welcoming, demeanor, but were super efficient in service. While both deserve credit for a positive encounter, great service and attention to detail, predominantly my experience was with "Joe" - who I believe is not a regular staff member of this store - his calm demeanor, friendly smiling nature, was so welcoming I was made to feel like nothing was too much trouble. Equally, his colleague on counter duty, proved that there is a very strong "team" ethos in this store whereby you feel like one person is serving you with their full attention, yet the other is beavering away giving another aspect of your order equal attention, to the point where the team fusion becomes one and therefore super efficient! Thank you "Joe" for the professionalism I both experienced, and witnessed, today and also to your colleague who not only gave me a name to call you, but, gave seamless support in providing my top-notch experience. Guys: you did *yourselves* proud! Unflappable under pressure, calm amidst the turmoil of demands from customers, polite, friendly smiles, efficient service, nothing too much trouble, great coffee, hot toasties, table service, great manners - whats not to love? Bravo!! You're doing a great job *thumbs up*. Feel proud - you deserve it.

They don’t serve the frappe if you go before 40 minutes . They always run out of ice .

Staff not as friendly as minster Costa

Love costa HOWEVER price gone up and now you need 10 tokens to get a free coffee, hit twice by the looks of things...

I had a crummy experience at this establishment. The food quality was dreadful to say the least and the service took longer than I had previously anticipated. The place lacked atmosphere and felt oddly quiet. I would not recommend visiting this locality, I could recommend some alternatives in McDonalds and KFC.

What's not to like about costagreat coffee

The last 3 times I've been, they have messed up the order...

Looks very coffee and friendly staff.

First time visit this costa branch around 10.30am . There are only 2 staff working. We can see both staff is super busy and work hard for walk in order , drive though order, making drinks and foods both side. All the eat in order that day only can do take away because no time do cleaning . We can see everywhere is an empty glass and plates, messy table , dirty toilet no toilet paper , no air condition inside sit feeling hot . We not blame to the staff, they already try the best . Costa company should do something better to improve this branch .

Mixed results..Great coffee, food was ok but hugely overpriced, the spiced Appledore k was syrup (yummy) now cheap teabag (poor!) And -service was lack lustre, disengaging and 'going g through the motions'. What a shame 🫠

Very polite staff and very quick even at busy times. Sometimes only half fill the coffee cups but that is an extreme rarity.

This costa shop is a fairly busy one but they still give a very professional service and always with a smile when they greet you. They have outside seating which is great in the warmer weather.

All but one member of staff were on there phones or bussy talking about what they did the night before the female staff had so much makeup on she looked like a clown all the young staff seem not to care about the customers the only member of staff that was doing his job and doing the job of two others his name was Joe I belive

Really nice small Costa. Good service. Hot food was good as was the coffee. Was nice to not have music so we could talk without having to shout.

Was not that cosy and not cofortable as it used to be When they had some sofas to sit on. I will not visit again!😨

Staff decided at 18:40 that they weren't making Frappes because all the equipment to make cold drinks was being cleaned as an area manager was due in tomorrow. Weird, it's only a blender.

You'll need a mortgage for a cup of chi latte and surrender your first born child if you want a piece of micro-cake, but probably worth it

Staff were rude and place was filthy. First impressions count and this was awful.

Fast Service, freindly staff and clean and welcoming environment

Drive through shuts at 9 but can’t make any frappes at 19.30!!! Staff were rude and unprofessional. Not even in uniform wearing Nike T-shirts which looks completely unprofessional too. Disgraceful service.

Tables not cleared i was there for an hour and it wasnt busy.. Walls ,floor ,glass ,mirrors all dirty at this one . . Had to ask for hot milk 3 times a d then it was like she was doing me a favour . .Say as I find .

Dirty, tables were full of dirty crockery & rubish, piles of rubbish on the floor in the food prep area, food and drink spilt everywhere, some of the staff were very childish, not paying attention to what they were doing. They used dirty jugs to prep drinks and I would give it half a star rather than 1.

After a roasting hot day we were looking forward to an iced latte and an iced mocha, but unfortunately all we got was cool watery coloured flavourless drink, very little ice. We threw three quarters of the drinks away in the end. We won’t be returning

Tried the drive thru. They got the order wrong, but were very apologetic and gave us a free drink.

Drive through, perfect. Trying to get in the door is an absolute mission. I've had a free birthday cake and coffee and couldn't seem to redeem them since they changed the bean system. However, the coffee is nice enough, which I suppose is the most important thing.

Just a typical Costa. Fairly clean out front, toilets are a mess. Seemed to be short staffed to be fair. Ordered hot chocolate but it was warm rather than hot. Downed it in minutes. Staff that were there were polite and friendly. They really need to get rid of the perspex Birlin wall as it's hard to hear what they say.

Theor new brands of non dairy milk is vile. Have also changed the lids that definatly haven't been consumer tested. Cant wait for Starbucks to open...

Nicely made drinks, but staff demeanour let them down, could benefit from some customer service refresher training otherwise i would have given 5 stars.

Visited this yesterday , I have been using Costas since 2010 , it seems that many now have forgotten service with a smile , this was one Costa to be forgotten , the lady served me , never said a word and put my latte on the counter and never said a word yet again , ,i was quite annoyed actually, I mean if they dont want to be there then seek alternative employment , this seems to be something in Costa coffee shops I'm experiencing quite alot lately , even in my home town , overall was not impressed

Usual Costa service, although was very quite, also no Vanilla in stock!!!

If i wanted luke warm coffee and to be called mate, i would have saved some miney and gone to Mc'donalds!, Absolute joke when using drive thru, was kept waiting at the speaker for almost 2 minutes, woman was bot apologetic or polite, waited for the young woman in front to stop having what sounded like a social catch up with staff while my coffees where sorting on a cold stainless worktop nest to the open hatch, finally got to hatch after another 5mins and waited to be served, was looked at by 3 members of staff and ignored, 2 mins latr finally got served with have you paid mate!, was late to pick wife up and drove off with 2 luke warm lattes. Emailed their head office but no reply.

Nice location, comfortable to sit in or well placed for takeaway and a seat on the front watching the sea. Good coffee and pleasant staff, just what you need.

Just been in Costa eith my parents. Ask the three times to clean down the tables until a lovely young man came and did it. The Cappuccino taste wasn't very good according to my dad and the gave my dad the wrong cake. I understand how busy they are and the difficulty time but this is why I gave three stars

Coffee ok but toilets appear not to have been cleaned for s few days the toilet bowl was ok but the sink was filthy , this was at 09.30 o.n a Sunday morning. Could do better.

Me n hubby visited this store last Sunday for breakfast,and wasn't impressed with the service or the quality of the drinks.one member of staff at the till didnt even know what a flat black was? And also how many shots of espresso a cortado had.she then asked another member of staff to help her,and he made the worst flat white ever from a batista.it never had a proper head on it of silky milk,and he then asked was there anything else and I replied YES a saucer for my drinks. Won't be visiting this costa again,and they should do some more training.

Drive through order, all good, not 5 stars as the drive through demand exceeds its capacity....a re think needed?

Really disappointed this visit, it had been busy obviously, but tables were being cleared, without a cloth in hand or sanitiser, all the debris from previous occupants left on the tables, clearly some staff training required!

Great service and always a lovely coffee

Just been to this outlet, service was quick and efficient, staff courteous and helpful. However I sat in the shop for about 40 mins and not one table was cleared let alone cleaned, service station was covered in sugar! Something manager should be on top of or at least staff taking the initiative. I asked at the till to ask who was manager and was told Chloe was in the morning and just handed over to Charlotte. I could beat this to death but here are the photos.
