Costa Coffee in Bristol, City of

Very slow service, watched the member of staff that then went on to serve me came from the main area spat something into her hand,then into the bin, then came to serve me. When I spoke to her she pretended she didn't hear me and carried on serving.

Popped in to get a drink whilst waiting for a relative to get out of surgery. Upon ordering was served by a lovely guy who seemed to be like he was new. He was amazing and I would rate him a 10/10. However the way his coworker becks or bex spoke to him was not only condescending and patronising but also really inappropriate for the workplace!! She was talking like she was looking down on him and simple questions he had about certain drinks and the till she answered back with a rude tone in her voice and making it seem like it should be obvious he knows this and that it’s bad that he doesn’t. I understand that it’s hard to train someone new in a busy environment but I don’t think the way she went about it was right ( and I only saw a snippet). Other than this he made me a perfect peach ice tea and he was so friendly. Would visit again

One of the staff literally don’t care, that people actually pay money to get a proper hand made coffee. He always try to be quick, but he isn’t very efficient. I really hope the manager take this seriously.

Costa Coffee is a lovely place to visit

A Costa coffee is a Costa coffee; however, if you purchase a large (takeaway) drink made with milk at this outlet, the baristas usually fill to about 1.5 inches from the top of the cup. You walk away, and by the time you've lifted the lid on the coffee – and the scam – it's too late. At almost £4.50 a pop, they've slipped in a virtual colonoscopy that stings worse than Dr Rim's iron finger. Not a very original way to boost profit and a shoddy one to play on the sick and infirm – let's hope Costa do some mystery shopping and administer a dishonesty enema.

Popped in for a coffee and cake, friendly staff, good coffee and plenty of seating, we sat by the window, watching the world go by.

Asked for coffee in a mug/cup but was told they only serve them in takeaway cups. Annoying as it will just end up in landfill. I assume this is something to do with the chronic understaffing (not the baristas fault) so they have no one to wash up.

Stopped for a coffee and snack while waiting for Mum to complete her treatment. Coffee was all right, as was the cheese and ham toasty. Nice bakewell tart, but it needed more flavour.

The store is always understaffed and you will have to wait for at least 15-20 minutes to get a coffee. They keep changing the furniture but they don’t add an extra staff person per shift. Ridiculous

I stood in line for 15 minutes, after which a cafe employee came up to me and told me not to stand any longer and to put the sandwiches I had taken back because they were closing due to problems with the cash register. I was asked to leave. I was very hungry and tired. I got very upset. After 15 minutes I found out that the cafe was open again, I went inside and asked why they didn’t warn me that they would open again? In response, I heard only vague explanations and outright ridicule. Shame on this cafe and its staff. Especially a young girl with a strange earring in her nose, who laughed at me. I'll never come again.

Visited twice this week. This place is disgustingly filthy considering it's in a hospital. Staff stand around chatting, when they bother to clear the tables, they don't wipe them even if there are spillages and crumbs. Floor was filthy, not swept and staff continued to walk past and ignore obvious rubbish on floor like serviettes. I ate in and they have China cups behind the counter but they still serve every thing in plastic and paper cups.

Clean Hospital . Costa was great needed a coffee ☕️ fix x.

Ordered and paid for bag on too good too go-My partner is currently at the hospital with our sick child I ordered this for them. Firstly they said they had no bags and then they gave her a bag. Then the store demanded the bag back & refused to give the order to her even though she supplied them with the code. Without the app you don’t have bag. The store never gave her opportunity to explain the circumstances and just kept saying you need app you need app. Firstly the store needs to work on the customer service skills and secondly there food hygiene with cross contamination of handing food over and taking it back. For a big corporate company Costa has let themselves down tremendously with these members of staff representing them.

The staff are great here-especially when you consider the volume of people they get through the doors in a day. The service is always great

Rarely go to any coffee shops as I'm not a coffee drinker, but there cold drinks like frapes definitely keep you cool in the current heatwave.

Convenient while visiting the hospital as its just inside the main building, but shuts far too early unfortunately. 4pm on the day I visited.

I walked past this place, Google seems to think I visited. If I fancied a coffee I most certainly NOT go to this coffee chain.

2 very kind attentive staff on a very hot Sat afternoon. Difficult when you are on a diet. But I chose slice of brown toast no butter and very nice marmalade. I had to be there 3 hours and had several hot drinks. All nice.

Appalling service. So slow. Two people working, two people chatting. Half the orders were wrong. Hot chocolate tasteless. Coffee burned. The worst.

Covid safe environment with good food and drink. Open full time now.

Slow service, incorrectly made drinks, incorrect costa points added. On the plus side, the (wrong) drink made was of a good standard.

Only two people serving doing their best, it was busy with long queues including hospital staff who should have a separate queue so they get priority. Bad management.

Good coffee shop... inside BRI... was a little stuck with tea and croissant in hand but had to wait for a table. Was okay after a few minutes. Be prepared.

Banging coffee. Nice and quick. Nice variety of snacks. Due to covid no seating area though nothing better than a nice walk and a good coffee.

Standard Costa coffee and service. This is based at the front of BRISTOL ROYAL INFIRMARY hospital. Service can be very slow even compared to other Costas. Otherwise same old Costa

Very friendly and helpful. I have to use a stick and had my hands full. So they made my coffee and brought it round the counter to me. Can't bet service like that

I ordered a croissant, which wasn’t warmed up. Paid £1.27 and got asked if I wanted condiments for extra money!! They should come with it at that price. Croissant was cold and dry. Never getting one again.

Costa is very nice and clean. A good size. Good large windows to let in plenty of natural light. I had a honeycomb latte. Drinks was hot and very tasty, made to perfection! Staff were friendly and welcoming. Store is very clean with good social distancing. There are a few tables where you can sit In and have your drink or food.

SLOW, SLOW SLLLOOOOWW! I guess they are struggling to recruit, but until they do, I suggest you go to the one in town!!

Slow service, expensive coffee. My pet hate is tables that wobble. The management seem to think this is acceptable. I don’t. EDIT: As hot drink options are limited in the BRI I was forced to use this over the course of 3 days. Most of the tables are wobbly! The cleanliness also is poor. After pointing out spilt milk on the floor to the waitress, she ignored it and merely wiped the table. Food remnants ( I hope they were anyway) are stuck to the glass and other surfaces.

Very friendly staff know my order . Can have a good laugh with all the staff. Miss going in at the weekend to have my coffee. Also made to feel welcomed . Clean and tidy .

Close to different shops so ideal to pop into whilst shopping. Also free car park so good as a meeting point with friends for a drink.

Just awful, staff are incredibly slow despite not being busy. I waited 10 minutes for a bacon roll and after it didn't appear I complained. I was met with a blank stare and the excuse "it takes 4 minutes to cook" . The only thing more shocking than the service was their math. I got my money back and left the overcooked bacon rolls behind.

I'm just tired of my order being wrong againI and I don't want to que again for the order that should have been right the first. Also is it me or has the Costa coffee taste just deteriated to the point where imI just tasting warm milk now!

Awful experience, asked for a Soya orange and cream hot chocolate I have ordered at many Costas I was told they couldn't do it without cream and they couldn't do it with Soya milk. I explained how they had put orange syrup in and used soya milk everywhere else, the manager was called over who was very rude and said they still were unable to do it, they can only do it with normal milk. The stock was really low, no gingerbread men and packaged biscuits all mixed up in a muddle there wasn't any lindt truffle chocolates at the counter and the staff were slow, miserable and unhelpful. This is very disappointing as a couple of weeks ago I came on a Friday evening (2nd) and the experience was totally different.

Captive audience syndrome ! Greetings and payment system robotic. Why does it always take two staff to take payment .one for till one to watch. No not new staff or training .

Busy with Slow queues. Cakes and drinks as you would expect, nothing special. Tables could be cleared and wiped more frequently.

I like Costa Coffee but this place doesn't accept the loyalty card. I think it may be a franchise but not 100% certain.

Overall good but queues can be long. Annoyingly thier tills won't scan thier own app to add points. They have to type in manually which just wastes time

It's a Costa Coffee, with very helpful staff,if you're a patient and can't cue, you can sit grab staff attention and they will take care of your order at the table. Very helpful, excellent

Just another Costa, service a bit slow even though I visited on a Sunday when it was quiet. Ceiling looks awful, poor lighting arrangements etc (sorry I am an electrician)

Decent seating area, but service is always slow as there never seem to be enough staff, and the coffee is not very good.
