Costa Coffee in Leicester

Confusing Menu. I thought I had asked for the £6 lunch deal but instead was being charged individually for the food I had ordered. I was too exhausted from pulling all nighters and looking after my family to complain. It's a shame. The food was actually really nice and the place has a nice vibe.

Good customer service and a nice place to grab a coffee from in the morning.

I love this costa! There’s two employees that I have seen a few times since having my baby and they greet me with such lovely smiles and chat. A warm lady and a young gentleman, who go Out of there way to help! Even when they have been quite busy- they still remain just as kind and friendly. It’s the employees that make this place. And good cake and iced lattes 😂❤️✨ Facilities are basic in the shop like all Costa’s but there are some seats that are quite comfy. It would be fantastic if there were a bit more of a worktop of some kind to Make baby changing easier in the toilets. The 4 star for atmosphere is down to some customers, most are as really nice and friendly people but you can’t help that.

Like any other costa but with an fantastic Friendly team.

5 stars for the worker that greeted me as soon as I walked into the store in the morning👌 very polite , caring and quick. Points I didn’t like was that I felt that it wasn’t as hygienic as it should have been and could be improved by a lot maybe it’s down to having less staff members.

Worst Costa ever. First time the drink wasn’t very hot. The second time it was way too hot and they forgot to add the flavoured syrup I ordered. Also, don’t understand why all the milk alternatives are left on top of the counter.

Nice inside but not overly clean, the tables had cups on and sugar over them, I only point this out as there was a worker walking around sweeping small sections of floor but ignoring any other cleaning

Such a bright, airy and friendly coffee shop! It’s the ideal place to pause whilst shopping! I was served by Marcus who was quick, efficient and engaged in genuine conversation, all be it brief. Thanks

Had to wait here while I had a windscreen fitted. Had 2 coffees and food, Marcus and Cai were brilliant. Was a great relaxing 2 hours. Thanks!!

The hot chocolate leaked in the bag

ordered 2 drinks and 2 biscuits. one coffee spilt during delivery. and didn't contain the syrup I ordered. Ordered a shortbread biscuit and chocolate cookie. recieved 2 shortbread no explanation. Bad service. not like usual

Only went in to use toilets..they cleverly give the toilet access code on your receipt, forcing you to buy something 1st!

Says closes at 6pm on a Saturday and it’s only 5:30pm and there closed. Stupid. If times aren’t correct change it.

Had an unfriendly and miserably guy serving me when I asked that I have a birthday treat on the app. The male staff ignored me and a lovely girl served me instead. Prefer the costa at city centre, better staff!

Hardly ever been in here before, so the system for selecting ordering and paying wasn't immediately obvious. Not much of a selection but just enough. The two lattes and two cheese and onion breads were extremely nice, especially as he very kindly heated the food, but I parted with over £17 for that and thought it rather exorbitant! Table not clean, otherwise a reasonably pleasant place for a chat over coffee!

Never eat at Costa as always tend to pop in for a hot chocolate after shopping, always enjoyable and a great way to relax before the journey home

We didn't have food in store, just s tea and a coffee, but both were served well

Good location at side of A14 for people travelling east- west. Has its own electric car chargers and there's a multipoint BP Pulse charger station next door. Not near any other shops though, so nowhere to wander. Gluten free food offering appalling as normal, so no chance for a coeliac to have a proper breakfast or lunch.

I generally do not go to coffee shops but I was taking my mum shopping today and she’s not long out of hospital so we visited this Costa Coffee for a couple of hot chocolates and a toilet stop. I can see why I rarely go into Costa Coffee, last time was in London and the toilet was disgusting. This place there was rubbish all over the floor outside the toilet, looked like food, looked like you could easily slip on it. No-one had bothered to sweep it up yet the place was dead. No atmosphere whatsoever. I don’t mind staff training but if you’re establishment is dead and your going to take ages to make a couple of unremarkable hot drinks at least have the courtesy to tell your customers to sit down and you’ll bring them over. Nope, left standing there, no eye contact or smile, just ignored till the drinks were eventually made. Woman serving wasn’t overly friendly too. And prices are way too high for what the drinks and the cr@pay service. Won’t be going in again unless I’m with someone that for some reason wants to go in.

Absolutely ridiculous! Spent £16 on a coffee! 2 things I ordered did not come and the toastie I ordered was rock hard and unbeatable! Disgusting!

It's a very good place, offering good coffees and snacks. However, the number of staff is not enough, and the tables are not cleaned much when the customers get up.

I've been here with my friend whom I met after a long time so this choice was to spend a good quality time with coffee. It was a rainy day, and our choice was to sit outside as it was not very cold and not too hot. Staff doesn't look very welcoming and has no offer of menu or any suggestions made. No smile on face, at 1 point I felt guilty to choose this place for meeting. This is a self-service cafe, so there is no complaint about service. Atmosphere is also not that appealing where you just get amazed by it. Overall, I did not have great experience here, but I was here for a good 3 hours. I don't know why.

Great little Costa, it could do with an update as it looks a little static/lacking personality. Staff are always nice and service time is pretty decent.

NOT VEG/VEGAN FRIENDLY I have been praising their coffee and food and posting photos on social media year after year. But I was shocked to find out today but they’re not as vegetarian and vegan friendly as they claim to be. As a Muslim my only option is to go fo vegetarian or vegan food as I can not eat meat unless it is Halal certified. And I am very happily to try any vegetarian or vegan food as they’re more healthy. This morning at this Costa branch I ordered 2 slices of toast and a croissant. They usually have separate Utensils (Tongs) for meat and and veg dishes for oven/grill use. But I was shocked to see the staff of Costa was using the Non Veg Utensils for my Toasts and Croissants even though the Veg/Vegan Utensil was right in front of her. The Utensil used for Veg/Vegan dishes has a green mark or a green rubber band and it’s visible from distance. Also something more important to note for all Veg and Vegan eaters; I’m not sure about their other branches, but at this particular branch they only have one oven grill which is quite small, I guess they all are. So what happens if you toast or grill a non veg dish in the oven? Everything that is coming out of the non veg dish becomes airborne inside the oven. So when you grill a veg or vegan dish inside the same little oven, it won’t be pure vegan or vegetarian, all the moisture or smell e.t.c. of the non veg (previously grilled) will be fighting its way towards your veg/vegan dish. If you’re comfortable with this no one’s stopping you to try their so-called grilled veg/vegan dishes. But who will keep un eye on their veg and non veg utensils which they knowingly or unknowingly keep using on the wrong dish? Are you willing to take this risk? Not me. I left my toasts and croissant alone, and ate their vegetarian cakes instead with Latte. Very disappointed with Costa.

Sometimes the staff aren't the friendliest, but I've mainly enjoyed coming here. Sometimes they will sell out fairly quickly, but there's still a nice selection of hot drinks, cold drinks and food.

The drink had spilt in the bag. They put cardboard on the top of my drink, inside the cup to prevent this; however, it did not help and didnt seem very hygienic

Really busy as expected over lunch but two barristas were stoically getting through orders and trying to clear tables when they had a moment!

Had a good coffee there. Just a pity that I could NOT use my points to pay on my app on the meal deals.

Great environment and lovely staff but I’m quite disappointed as it’s not the first time that I get my coffee from this particular Costa and again, my coffee is burned I can literally taste the burned coffee and also smell it. It’s a shame considering I buy my morning coffee there literally every day.

Very very very bad customer service .

I understand it’s Xmas eve and people want to get home to be with there family’s but if you are sue to close early then at least have your Xmas and new year opening times on the door and updated on google just like every other company does as it’s misleading. It was just past 17:30 and there was bout 4-5 of us wanting to come in was ignored by staff and food they can close early if they wanted too. I work for a corporate company and have to adhere to the time on the door as to when we close. Guaranteed if that was the other way round you would be kicking off so maybe costa need to provide up to date opening times so it is not misleading for your customers. Merry Xmas.

Bad customer service. Gave me a take out drink when I asked for a take in, they didn't tell me it was ready when I was actually standing there and had to have it cold. When I complained I got nothing but a raise of shoulders . Would not come back at this branch

I love Costa coffee. This one in St Georges shopping is brilliant, the staff are really friendly it's spotless & of course the coffee is yummy 😋.

Always a decent experience at this Costa. Only issue I have is there is no safe route to get in. Have to try cross then walk on the roads with my two young children to get in when you come from the Aldi/home bargain side of the carpark.

Refused Service at 6:40pm even thought it doesn’t close till 7pm. Was hoping to get a hot coffee after my 12hr shift and drove out of my way to this costa as it’s the only one open after 6pm. However I arrived to see both staff, young girls, chatting in the shop and had already locked doors. Upon asking if they are open I was just gestured to go away. Won’t ever be visiting this Costa Coffee I guess then…

Poor customer service and dirty

The person who served us was patient and friendly and allowed me to take my time (I'm indecisive) with choosing my drink and offered to make us an alternative if we didn't like it. Big car park, lots of seating and a clean toilet makes it a great place to visit

My husband and I love Costa, coffee is great & food nice. The trouble is the St Georges branch in Leicester is filthy. 3 Staff stand behind counter chatting, only 2 are serving leaving 1 doing nothing. Tables needed clearing, tables that were cleared were covered in crumbs and sticky coffee rings etc. The floor looked like it hadn’t been swept in days. It is such a shame this branch is being run like this as the location is great and we would have returned more often. We’ll stick to Beaumont Leys branch as that was spotless last time we went.

2 very very rude staff members 1 female and 1 male. They did not have name tags on otherwise I would make a compliant. Will not visit this Costa again. Second time this has happened to me .

Costa coffee is my regular best coffee shop I go to. Everything is worth paying for. Expecially the one that is located at st georges retail park, the staff are excellent aswel as their customer service and professionalism. I more than highly recommend. 😊👌☕💯💯💯💯💯👏

It's a Costa. Everything as it should be and now with M&S food.

Stopped in at this branch in St George's Retail Park whilst my dog has a groom across the carpark. Asked for Choc Fudge Frappe and they didn't have it! Asked for the "new mango boba frappe" and they didn't have any boba! But this is a new drink!! Bought 2 chai latte's and they didn't have any cinnamon to sprinkle on top. It's 16:50pm and all the tables are filthy and there's only one couple inside. Disgusting...coffee shop that doesn't have basic products!

Excellent servers every time I’m in but the gentleman today was so lovely! Unfortunately I didn’t catch their name but they made our visit very enjoyable and my friend and I left with a smile.

Nice outside seating area. Could do with extra staff at busy times but they manage to remain polite even when busy.

Good location and friendly staff but I was very disappointed as when we went on 2 May, they had run out of artificial sweeteners. There really is no excuse and by the time we had bought the coffee, it was too late to go elsewhere. One of the party has diabetes so this was very annoying.
